“So,” Presley yanked on my arm, lowering her voice, “you want to go see my office? I have a pretty impressive desk.”
She was killing me, her eyes doing all the suggestions her mouth didn’t need to with an ironclad guarantee I’d follow her right off the edge of that cliff.
I coughed, clearing my throat as I whispered back, “I thought we were waiting until David left. And unless he has a twin, he’s still sitting at the bar talking to Raelle.”
“C’mon, Leighton. Don’t be such a pus—” She didn’t get a chance to finish, my hand around her waist, already making excuses for our hasty exit.
“Sorry, guys, we’ll be back in a bit. A VIP needs Presley’s attention and I’m a fan.” The words tossed over my shoulder as I almost carried her toward her office.
She laughed, closing the door behind us. “Wow, who knew calling you a pussy would get you so riled up. Sucks to be you, now I know your weakness, I can exploit it anytime I want.”
“You’re my weakness, Presley, not being called a pussy.” I lifted her, setting her on her fancy new desk and settling between her legs. “But if you wanted to prove a point, I’m not going to stop you.”
“What if the point that I really want to prove is that I’m going to love you forever.” She wrapped her arms around my neck, brushing her lips against mine.
“That’s one you’re never going to have to worry about.” I kissed her back, without a doubt in my mind.
“Oh yeah?” she asked, a wicked grin pulling at her mouth. “Swear on your mother.”
I laughed, shaking my head. “Never going to let me forget that, are you?”
Her tongue darted across her pouty red lips. “Not a chance.”

T Gephart is a USA Today and International bestselling author from Melbourne, Australia.
With an approach to life that is somewhat unconventional, she prefers to fly by the seat of her pants rather than adhere to some rigid roadmap. Her lack of “plan” has resulted in a rather interesting and eclectic resume, which reads more like the fiction she writes than an actual employment history. She’d tell you all about it, but the statute of limitations hasn’t expired yet. But all those crazy twists and turns have led her to a career she loves—writing romantic comedy.
When she isn’t filling pages with sassy and sexy characters with attitude, she’s living her own reality show in the ‘burbs of Melbourne with her American husband, two teenage children, and her fur child—Woodley.
She loves adventure, to laugh, travel, and strives to live her life to the fullest.
