Yar jumped and nodded to the ghost. Aero Ryiri, “I beg you, don’t disappear. Stay here a few minutes.”
It wasn’t possible to predict the ghost’s behavior, but he replied, “I cannot refuse the warrior who conquered Ryiri for the first time in its history,” the foggy image whispered in response.
Yar exhaled. There was a chance, and he was going to use it. The man rushed to the stock exchange in a secret room of the demiurge, repeating to himself, “Don’t be in a hurry. Choose carefully.”
Yar hardly noticed the small message that flashed before him.
Your status on the exchange is a demiurge
He didn’t expect anything unusual, but it turned out that the exchange could surprise. It turned out that his current position in this structure was not even VIP—but it was much more magnificent.
He was sitting in a comfortable lounge chair, there were palm trees, weird flowers, white hot sand around, and the blue lagoon glistened softly. Nearby, tanned Eva and Lyan played a fun and noisy badminton-type outdoor game.
“Screw it! This is Paradise!”
Next to him was a table full of sliced fruit and soft drinks. Yar was also glad to see his assistants in high spirits. Eva was charming in a bikini.
“Master, you’d better swim in the sea before getting to work. Time is paused here,” Eva purred thoughtfully and languidly, hitting Lyan’s ball back.
Yar thought sensibly: once he got into the heavenly place, it meant he needed to have a good time inside this paradise.
“Vacation!” Yar yelled and rushed into the lagoon across the hot sand.
He swam and dived enthusiastically, like a kid, and then they fried awesome fruits or vegetables—he didn’t understand what each one was, but they all tasted excellent. Then they sunbathed, ran and swam again. It was carefree and fun...
Yar didn’t know how much time he spent in this encapsulated paradise—a week, a fortnight, or even a month. However, in one of the lazy days, he decided firmly—it was the right moment to end his time basking in the sun and lazing around.
Yar sat in a chaise lounge and boisterously threw a cold, juicy piece of fruit straight down Eve’s swimsuit. She screamed and rushed with laughter to get her revenge on him.
Yar raised his hands, as if giving up, before sighing and saying regretfully, “We are coming back. Come on, my darling. Show me all the spells and abilities aimed at returning the physical appearance of a ghost.”
It took a lot of time to compare everything that was presented here. Yar began to get annoyed as he thought, That’s enough. A little more, and I will grow into this chaise lounge!
Finally, he found something he liked.
“Stop! Eva, stop!” Yar almost shouted. “Please, move your charming ass in your swimsuit threads to the side, I can’t concentrate. Show me the characteristics of this item.”
“Yes, Master,” Eva reported, saluted jokingly before removing her bikini threads mockingly.
Yar sighed and shook his head as if disapproving. Why not? She fulfilled my request ... What a hot girl!

Yar read it and hesitated a little, rubbing his chin nervously, then he said,
“I’ve made my choice, I take it!”
He immediately heard, “Congratulations on your purchase, Yar Row Dark. You have one more choice left.”
Well, thank you. I hope I got something worthwhile.
Yar, of course, understood the value of the spell he had acquired for his assistants, but he didn’t expect such an exaggerated reaction. His assistants jumped and danced on the beach!
“Well, oh, well. Let them get mad and spill their emotions. For now, I’d better figure out what kind of message from creator I have received.”
Greetings, successor.
Pay close attention to the energy component. The more it is used in the implementation, the better.
I hope the Intuitive Physical Shell Generator will serve you well, as it’d served me for many centuries. Good luck.
I hope so, too, Yar thought.
“Eva, when was the last exchange for this spell implemented?” Yar asked out of curiosity.
“Seven and a half thousand years ago, Master,” the assistant responded instantly.
Yar whistled in surprise at the news.
Chapter 31. Transfer
E verything was still there, in the land of the strong wind—there was the eternal monotonous song of the wind and also the ghost of the Guardian. Yar had seen this phenomenon many times on returning from a different speed of time, but he couldn’t help but wonder at the discord of it all.
“Now, after a wonderful holiday, I am ready for some hard work!”
“Aero, please follow me to the reactor room. I don’t know what you used to call it before, but I mean the room where the main power source is located. I will try to restore you.”
The ghost looked at Yar pitifully.
“Your proposal, as the new owner of the palace, is a stupid idea. Are you joking? So, I won’t be offended, don’t be afraid—I have long forgotten how to be offended. What can I do? I don’t know why I even decided to talk to you. I’ve been silent for thousands of years-”
Yar didn’t let him finish. He worried that the Guardian, this source of invaluable information, would now leave, and it was unclear if or when he would appear again. The ghost might be lost forever in the countless intricacies of the halls and passages of this truly mega-building.
Yar yelled forcefully, causing the palace walls to vibrate, “Aero Ryiri Gloomy! I, Yar Row Dark, swear by the system that I can give you back your body! Did you hear? I can! Not for free, of course. Once I have done so, you will take up the post as Guardian of the Palace of Capture. Do you agree?”
“I agree,” the ghost rasped, clearly still agitated. He continued in a vibrating whisper, “I swear by the emptiness, the firmament, and the unlimited power of the mother of the system, so be it.”
Aero was in the reactor faster than Yar. When he came out of the portal, the ghostly Guardian was already there.
Yar went closer to the main energy source of the palace and sat down on the steps.
Well, it’s my second time here, and I feel insecure again.
Initially, in order to prepare for the intensive work, Yar began to examine the periphery of this great source.
He used his magical vision and immediately noticed one interesting feature. He counted ninety-nine free, nameless electrical wires. Most of them were of the same type. The rest of them wired power and, possibly, transmission speeds. The clan leader wanted to test them all immediately.
Remembering his previous mistakes, Yar chose the thinnest dark-blue wire. A flashing red message popped up in front of him.
Universal self-tuning power wires.
“Wow! Exactly what I need! Connect to energy doubler,” he ordered.
The message changed.
Name it.
“Trial!” Yar suggested. He saw a rectangle with the word ‘Trial’ appear before him on a thin blue rectangle.
“Connect the ‘Trial’ wire to my source,” he ordered.
The connection happened instantly. Surprisingly, Yar didn’t feel any flashes, explosions or amplification. It was a soft, pleasant warmth that swept through his body.
The blue connection line seemed to have disappeared. Yar tried to tense up and take a closer look, but he saw nothing. At the same time, he understood that he was connected, and the message from
the system confirmed this.
Well, what can I say? ... Great! Yar encouraged himself further, Now I will get down to business in order not to violate the tradition .
First, I’m gonna warm up properly, and at the same time, I’ll see how my connection with the main energy resource of the palace works. I wonder what the vibrations will be like.
The clan leader reproduced the three YDSAs, one by one, without stopping. They came out very quickly, and most importantly, Yar did not even notice the slightest vibration in his sources, as if he hadn’t done anything but just watched.
This is really great! Yar continued working without any doubts.
He stood up and took a few deep breaths and sharp exhalations.
Well, I’m ready. Don’t let me down, ancient spell.
“Aero, let’s get started,” Yar warned the ghost as he activated the Intuitive Physical Shell Generator by Carr Gioris the Bloody.
The visual realization of the spell seemed somehow alien to Yar.
Well, what did you expect? Seven thousand years have passed, flashed through his mind.
Black, small, incredibly glossy balls filled the reactor room as if someone had poured out several tons of ping-pong balls using a giant bucket.
Yar didn’t have time to respond to being surprised before the whole room was filled up with these balls. , but it had absolutely no effect on the working of the main source. The balls were still for a short time, for a few seconds, then they began to move again.
The hodgepodge began. At first, the balls moved clockwise, then they rolled in the opposite direction. Moreover, Yaroslav didn’t feel any interfering pressure, but he had to close his eyes. The speed of the balls increased, and now they moved in different random directions, causing a feeling of nausea to flood over Yar.
Assessing the scale of the event, he immediately came to the conclusion that this spell could be used en masse. Yar opened his eyes slightly, trying to look around, at least through the narrow slits.
Damn it!
The clan leader had to close his eyes again, but he had managed to see the big picture of what was happening.
Everything had changed. The balls had apparently merged together, and now they were larger. Several volumetric flows were spinning in different directions along the entire diameter of the reactor. Each stream swirled around its axis and emitted blinding green rays.
Yar swore to himself, Will I really stay with my eyes closed for the whole time? I’m not a wimp!
He pulled out a bottle containing his beloved mineral water and emptied it all the way down to the bottom, reinforcing this action with the first medical unit.
He opened his eyes, breathed, and crouched slightly. Now the streams merged into solid formations and resembled metallic ones, radiating a uniform, bloody light. They were like tangible scarlet waves.
“Glory to the system. I understand what’s happening!” Yar finally saw Aero.
It was an eerie, bloody image, without skin, eyes, and ears, frantically trying to inhale the air with its toothless mouth as it nervously moved its long fingers.
Yar really wanted to intervene and strike a remedial unit on this unfortunate suffering creature, and he barely restrained himself. The development and end of the spell occurred swiftly and imperceptibly from that moment. A strong impulse passed through the room. Then the white spinning spindle fell into the bloody Aero, and it was as though it had been created from compressed clouds. Aero fell backward.
Yar heard a loud blow when the body hit the floor and thought, Ouch! That must hurt. He didn’t even regroup in the fall.
The thought flashed through Yar’s head a little bit faster than the YDSAs rushed to their new goal.
The Symbionts of Aura move and decide to attack very quickly!
The ghost that hit the floor was already a recognizable creature. He looked like an ordinary man—tall, sinewy, overly thin, all skin and bones. His face was strong-willed and craggy, he had thick broad eyebrows, and his eyes were expressive—pale blue as if burning with righteous cold fire. In general, Aero was an ascetic without clothes.
Yar was wary of getting any closer.
I don’t want to cuddle with a naked man. What the hell am I thinking about? he thought.
Yar used all the remedial units for prevention and to recover from the flashing stats of his new employee. They were stunning.
What a spell! What an investment!
Yar wanted to shout back through the millennia, Thank you. You’re incredibly cool, Carr Gioris!

It was necessary to start the transfer of the tower urgently, and so Yar spoke almost cold-bloodedly, deciding to whip the revived man to early action, “Guardian, you need to get dressed. We have a lot of ladies in the clan, and some will be here any minute now. We need to hurry.”
Aero Gloomy literally disappeared for a second before immediately returning in a black jacket, tightly buttoned under his chin with large buttons, that was made of magic silver, and a pair of shiny leather boots. He had a massive chain around his neck with a snake-shaped pendant. The Guardian, frankly, looked stern but great.
He really is gloomy , Yar appreciated from his appearance.
Aero had a wrinkle as deep as a scar across his forehead, turning into a fold between his thick eyebrows. Yar also noticed white long slender fingers that seemed to be living some kind of separate life, topped with several massive rings containing raw gems.
Where and when did he find so many rings, I wonder…
Meanwhile, the Guardian got down on his knee and spoke with the pleasant yet hoarse voice of a rocker, “Master. I know words are just words. But you will not regret your efforts and the money spent on my resurrection.”
“Okay,” Yar said affably, “now we will try to move the palace. I have already found a very suitable location.”
The Guardian bowed.
“Master, don’t rush. I’d better transfer the palace myself. I have experience. I can place it in a better place. I have the opportunity to both set the radial rotation and choose the best angle. Sir, show me this location you have chosen.”
It was hard not to agree with his reasonable arguments. Yar concentrated and presented the place under the ground in all its detail, trying to scoop everything up from the pebbles to the grains of sand and surrounding rocks.
Having created it all in his head, as it seemed to him, the perfect image of a secret place, he handed it over to the Guardian, as he hone done with swifts. Aero’s face changed a
s if he were a perfect actor. His face was gloomy and tensed at first, then it showed surprise, and at the end, it had an expression of incredible delight.
Then the Guardian was gone. Yar only saw the brief flash and heard the light bang of a triggered portal.
Apparently, Aero wanted to inspect the place personally.
Suddenly the hoarse and imposing voice of the Guardian rattled from all sides throughout the palace.
“Attention!” the Guardian of the Capture Palace said. “Yar Row Dark has initiated the transfer of the palace. Please stay in place. In order to avoid injuries, I suggest lying on the ground and taking a horizontal position. I am now starting the countdown.”
A big red warning popped up in front of Yar.
Attention! Be careful! The transfer is about to begin.
10, 9, 8, 7...
Yar sank to the ground, as the Guardian had advised. He lay back, waiting with a genuine interest for the start of the process. It was exciting—the whole five seconds with a complete sense of weightlessness.
Then the Guardian’s voice thundered again, shaking the fortress. He was clearly pleased.
“Attention! The transfer was successful. The new location of the palace is the Island of Magic, Shadowlands.
Congratulations to the Master!
Congratulations to the Midnighters Clan!”
Yar jumped as if stung, and with the help of the portal, he moved to the highest point of the main tower. He caught his breath at the sight that stretched out before him. For some reason, he thought that the world had become even more attractive. Even the enchanted Pulkovo Forest didn’t look so impressive now in comparison.
Only a few seconds later, he realized that the rock towering over the castle was constantly glowing. The Shadows screamed with excitement, as if insane, across the walls and battle towers.
Yar jumped onto a huge square, opened the widest portal he could afford, and moved to a familiar place near the Star Key Tower while keeping the portal open.
I need to transfer the rest of them, let them rejoice. It would be nice for the clanmates to pump up their levels here.
“Shadows, relocation!” Yar yelled, pointing to the open portal.
He didn’t hear a word in reply. Instead, a wide flow of Shadows rushed impatiently into the huge blue ring of the portal.
