Both of them found Some of Larry's werewolves died on the suburb streets. Some fo them looked like they had ripped out their own throats but there were some that seemed to had been cut up with some kind of greatsword. Some had their heads cut off which was the fashion of vampires and hunters usd to kill werewolves.

Weldon was struck with horror and shock at the sight of this. His friends, pack brothers, and follow wolves were dead in front of him. Grief and sorrow was creeping into Weldon's soul and mind. He shook his head trying to process what he was seeing. Deacon could feel how Weldon's felt just by looking at him. Deacon kept close to Weldon. But nothing prepared him for what he saw next. There on the ground next to a car was the headless body of Larry who was in his human form. Weldon was next to his body. Tears and sorrow filled his face. The look of sadness and rage caem with Weldon flexing his teeth. His eyes glowed yellow, burning with hate. Deacon came over and hugged him to comfort the wolf.

"I'm so sorry!" Deacon told him. Deacon heard a footstep behind him. He turned around and found a Obsidian knight standing with a bloody greatzcxdee in his hands. It was Severance. He also had a look of grief on his face. There was a family of humans behind him, this mother and her two 9 and 10 year old daughters. They looked scared as hell. Weldon turned around and saw him. He didn't have to say it! Weldon knew it was him.

"I'm so sorry but he left me no choice. I tried to stop him but he had his wolves came for these three here." Severance pointed to the three humans. They were crying and speechless. Weldon didn't have to ask what happened.

"Her husband and their father didn't make it! It was them or these three!" The vampire told them. Deacon saw the large bite wound on Severance shoulder. Weldon was overflowing with rage! Tears flowed from his eyes. But he knew it wasn't his fault. He understood what happened and why. Then the wolf's face turned to complete despair. He collapsed to the ground and cried there. Deacon just held him.

"We're going to make it through this! I promise!" Deacon told the werewolf. Weldon nodded to Deacon with a tear riddled face.

"Ok!" Then the two heard a loud breathing sound. Deacon followed the sound till he found a late 20s man laying on the ground wiht a stab wound to his side. Weldon saw that it was Luther, naked and bleeding horribly.

"LUTHER!!!" Weldon and Deacon ran over to him. Deacon ripped off a piece of his shirt and sued it to bound his wound. Luther was barely conscious but he knew Weldon when he saw him.

""Hey there dude! How's it hanging there?" Luther said looking like he was suffering.

"Hey there you sack of crap! How you doing there?" "Been better! Listen, Weldon! He did the right thing! Tell him.....thank you! I remember what ....I did...dear God! I'm sorry!" Luther said.

"Tell him yourself! You're going to be fine. Your wound isn't fatal! Just rest for now!' Deacon said. "So you're the famous prince Weldon is head over heels in love with! Cool! Thanks man!" Luther said. Weldon was holding it to together.

"Hang in there buddy!" Weldon said. The mother and her children had came over to him.

"I’ll watch over him. Don't worry! You should go!" Weldon got up and looked at Severance. "Thank you! Look after them!" The vampire knight nodded to him. Weldon and Deacon went off to the hotel. This was very personal to them now. Luther was starting to get up.

"You should rest. You're in no condition to move!" The mother said.

"I have to help! They need help! I owe them that! I owe you guys that!" The two reached the hotel. They entered the main lobby where they found everyone there dead! But not by werewolves or vampires. But they seemed to turned into mummies that were dry as desert husk. It was like all the liquids in their bodies were drained. This was the work of a siren. Deacon wanted to say something to Weldon that might make him feel better. He want to say anything to him but he didn't know what to say.

"I..." Then he hugged deacon and held him tight! Deacon was surprised. He expected him to yell at him but he didn't. Weldon look at Deacon and smiled.

"Thank you! Come on! I'm glad I have you!" Weldon said. They looked at the stairwell. They knew where to go! "Let's get that bitch!" Deacon said. The two went all the way up. They weren't sure if there were anyone else alive inside but the siren was their concern. They kicked down the door to the top floor. They entered this lounge room with red carpet and expensive couches and chairs scattered about the room. Deacon amd Weldon saw this woman at the edge of the room, overlooking the city. Her hair was flowing in the wind. BOth boys had no interest in her in the slightest.

Then the woman turned around slowly and faced them. She leaned against the railing of the window as her blue eyes glowed in the night. Her devilish smile made them sick.

"My My! So you two are the ones my Wellington is so bent out of shape about and now here you are with me. How thoughtful of you!" The siren said.

"You bitch! You're going to pay for what you done!" Weldon said.

"When will you ever stop playing the hero boys! This is no fairy tale. You're happy ending isn't coming!"

"Not for you lady! How the hell are you?" Deacon said. "I'm Mary, old siren of the city of R'lyeh. Lost child of my master! Lost until I was found by Wellington." Mary told them. "how interesting! So close to me, hearing my song yet unaffected by my voice. You two are lovers, well, not yet!" ""That is none of your business bitch!" Weldon said.

"You're' all out of tricks! We're done with you and we don't need you ever!" Deacon said. "Out of tricks! The tricks are just beginning! You think this is over? Oh no! I already done what Wellington wanted. Just watch! It's too late!" Mary said.

"We stopped you! We won't' have much trouble with him either!" "Is that so? I won't let you! You'll never see your family ever again you two!" Tehn the siren crossed her arms and held herself as she shook violently. Her bones shifted and morphed while her spinal cord and back grew long and distorted.

You thought I was just a pretty face!" Her arms grew long and fish like with long slimy fingers with bonely sharp claws pointing out. Her hair grew long and to her feet. He whole boy grew longer and bigger to the point to where she was 13 feet tall. Her feet grew flat with web amphibious animals that could rip a man in half. These wing like fins grew from her back and spread over heer. then rope like tentacles came out of her sides and under her dress. Her eyes started to grew the size of dinner plates while her mouth became his massive set of jaws like that of a shark with spiky, sharp teeth. Then this bulb like organ sprouted from her forehead like a fish from the bottom of the ocean. The siren stood up and faced them in her true form. The beautiful woman that was walking the streets from before now was replaced by a unholy she monster from the pits of hell.

"Come here pretty boys. Give me a kiss!" Mary said reaching out her long clawed hands. The boys were not scared or surprised by her new look.

"Guess the prom years are over centuries ago for you!" Deacon said. The siren threw her right arm back and swung at them with incredible force. Both boys leaped backwards and landed on by feet. Deacon drew his claymore while Weldon transformed into his beast form. The siren smashed her arm into the ceiling, bring down some debris on them. Deacon slashed it to pieces while Weldon just whacked it away. Deacon pulled out his double shotgun and aimed right for her face. The vampire warrior fired continuity at her head. The bullets blasted her skin and damaged her but she seemed more annoyed then hurt. She swiped at him again but the vampire leaped up and roundhouse kicked her in the face. Mary fell backwards but now her tentacles moved through out the room and began to wrap around deacon and Weldon. But the werewolf ripped the to pieces with his claws then freed Deacon from them too.

"I'll feast on your souls!" Then she grew long spikes from her back then fired them at the two. First it was just a few here and there. Deacon shattered them just by strike ing them with his claymore. Weldon did the same thing with his claws. Then she started to fire them from her wrist like it was auto fire. Deacon and Weldon monevieded around the room as a volley of projectible bone spikes fired at them like a machine gu
n, leaving a trail of bone spikes all over. Those spikes were 5 feet long and as thick as people. Weldon managed to pick one up and threw it back at her. the spike hit her right in the shoulder. The monster screams in pain while grabbing her shoulder.

"No! NO! Not my skin!" She shouted. Then The monster scream at them, releasing this loud explosive fry at them that shattered the floor and al the windows. The roar knocked back he two of them which gave her some distance. Then here oran on her forehead started to glow a bright blue light. Electicviy was zapping out of it. Mary raised her arms into the sky, preparing for something. Then her whole body was covered in this blue lighting that was moving upwards. Then it shot through the roof and into the sky. Then it came back down on the two boys, in a massive lighting strike. Deacon rolled out of the way in time. Then another came fringin down. Both of them leaped away then did the same for the next. Then Mary start to fire electricity at them horizontally. Deacon blocked it with his claymore, keeping it from frying him and Weldon. He struggled to hole it back. But then he reflected it right back at her. The lighting blasted her point blank, frying the top layer of her skin. She looked like a charcoal fried marshmallow.

"My FACE! MY BEAUTIFUL FACE!" She screamed. Weldon leaped forward and slashed his claws down her chest, opening her open. She began to topple over to her knees but she wasn't done yet.

"I MUST SUCCEED! FOR HIM!" She yelled. Then Mary rushed at Weldon, locking claws with him. But this also gave her the chance. While her left claw was locked with Weldon, her right one aimed for Deacon. It fired several bone spikes at him. But he knocked them away easily. But they were just a distraction. From her back, this second monster sprouted from her and went after Deacon. It looked like a giant great white shark with no fines but had a long tongue that had tons of bone spikes at the end.

"DEACON! NOOOO!" Weldon shouted to Deacon. It happened in a split second from him destroying the bone spikes. It was too fast for DEacon to react in time. But then Luther showed up right in front of Deacon in time.

"KID! LOOK OUT!" The werewolf acted as a shield, blocking the attack for Deacon but took the hit instead. The Bone spiked tongue impaled Luther through the chest while the jaws of the second monster cam chopping down on his left side. Weldon saw it for a brief second.

"NOOOO! LUUUUTTTHHHEEERRRR!" Deacon was stunned by Luther's act of bravery. But he couldn't let it go without meaning something. The vampire leaped over Luther and on top of the second monster. He sliced though it cutting it off form Mary's body. Then Weldon shoved her back and bite off her life arm with one crunch. Deacon sliced off the other arm with his claymore, corning her. They both had enough of her. Deacon stabbed her in the stomach. She screamed in agony and tossed all over while Weldon went for her head. The monster saw the werewolf just seconds before it wacked off her head like a volleyball. It went flying through the air till it went out the window. It went somewhere into the bushes by the hotel but they did see where. They could still hear her screaming a horrible scream. The rest of the body flopped around for a few minutes till it stopped moving. They watched it till they knew it was dead.

Both of them went over to Luther who was barely holding onto life. He was bleeding out fast and his wounds were too great. He had only just a few seconds to minutes to live.

"I don't understand Luther! You just needed to rest and you'd live! Why did you do that?" Deacon said. Luther laughed as he was fading out of existence.

Because.....Deacon! Weldon....He's a good guy and a great judge of character....so if he choose you....loves you...then you must be one damn awesome guy! I can't just let you.....be unhappy Weldon....I can't just let you die Deacon.....I just wanted to do something good....before...I.....go....I save you....."

  "Oh Luther!" Weldon said.

"Take care of each.....other!" Luther smiled before his eyes went cold. He stopped breathing then moving. The werewolf just laid there with a smile on his face. Weldon's eyes filled with tears till he screamed in despair. Deacon cried too. Both of them held the kid on that top level for what seemed to be forever. It was all they could do!

While they are up there on the top level, Wellington was by the bushes, grabbing Mary's head. He held it in his arms with loving care.

"Sleep peacefully my child! You done well! Your death will bring forth a new world for us! Thank you!" The two boys walked silently down to the front desk of the hotel with Weldon carrying Luther in his arms all the way. Both were dead silent and without words. There was nothing to say at the time. Both looked at each other for a long time, not sure what to do.

"We should get back to our families and clans. They need us more than ever!" Deacon said.

"Yeah! it's going to be a real mess isn't it!" Weldon said. "You take as much time as you need! But, call me if you need anything or help! I'm here! I just......want you to know that." Deacon said.

"I will! Thank you Deac!" The two slowly started to go over to each other. Deacon and WEldon kissed each other while Deacon leaned on the werewolf for comfort.

  "I'll be ok!" Weldon said.

"I know but still call me!" Deacon said.

  "Always Deac!"

  "I'm so sorry. I..."

"I don't blame you, ever. It's not your fault You don't have to apologise for anything Deac!" Weldon told Deacon. The vampire nodded and walked away out he door.

"I love you Deac!" "I love you too Weldon!" They both went their separate ways. Weldon went out the back where he was meat by Roach. He took possession of Luther.

"I'll get him back!" Weldon nodded and both took off. Weldon got back to his motorcycle and drove off. Deacon was outside the front when he was confronted by what as left of the Obsidian knight team after tonight. Uthyxeth and Desmond were in front with concern looks. They saw Deacon's sad face and came over to him.

"Come Deacon! It's been a long night! But it will be a longer day. But most of us live thanks to you!" Uthyxeth told him. "Way to go bro! You did good tonight!" Desmond said. "Thanks!" Deacon wasn't n the mood for praise or thanks.

"Go up there and retrieve the corpse of that scum! I want to know more of its purpose!" Uthyxeth told his men. Desmond went over to Deacon and put his arm around the boy.

"Let's go home!" Desmond took Deacon with him and brought the kid to his car. Uthyxeth was with Desmond as they talked in private.

"What's wrong with him?" Desmond said.

  "Not our concern!" Uthyxeth replied.

"You know something don't you?" Desmond asked Uthyxeth. "Nothing important! Let's go! Night is ending!" The rest of the team retreated from the city with their leaders then escaped. The sun rose on that day but it felt as dark as a stormy one.

It was morning there in St. Louis and for both the NIghtworth Legion and the Crimson Hounds. The entire city was in a panic but St. Charles was a madhouse. Police were everywhere trying to keep the peace but there was just too much to contain. The death count has reached 76. But it could have been worse given it was a busy Saturday night. It seemed that the dead bodies of the wolves were taken by the Crimson Hounds before they were found. They had suffered worse lose than the Nightworth vampires. It seemed that the siren had force some of them kill themselves while the Obsidian knights killed the others. Only 5 werewolves were able to make it out alive while losing the others. The Obsidian knights only lost a few warriors but It was safe to say things were in complete hell.

There were several witnesses to the wolves and the vamps that night but the deaths and aftermath was on a whole nother scale. Monster rumors and sightings of horrors in the city were beginning to spread without control. The police chief had been calling non stop about the events of that night. Civil unrest was growing with fears of serial killers in the streets. Crime was going up too. The siren had made the perfect excuse for everything to go to hell the next morning. But what made the public most upset was that they had no clue what was going on. Some started to whisper things of conspire and corruption. There was plenty of evidence that it was all real. BUt that was not he issue at the
moment. For the Nightworth and Crimson Hounds, it was a time of morning and grief.

The Nightworth Legion had a ceremony of their three fallen knights at the manor. Nearly all the nobles and other night captains were there to pay their respects. It was in the main hall with three metal coffins with several circles of vampires around them. Some of them were family while others were those they knew in their time. Ishmael and his wife Helen stood in front of the bodies as they were lowered into the Nightworth crypt to stay there and rest for the rest of time. Their sons Desmond and Deacon stood with them to be apart of what was going on. Then Ishmael came forth and addressed the hundreds of vampires that were attending the ceremony.

"Without sacrifice! There could never be victory! But that does not mean the lives of our warriors, soldiers, and those who serve are logs for the fire. They were and always be beings with souls that have lives, friends, families, and those who treasure them. But know that with their lives, those the love most continue on to live and be happy in these dark times. They have served a purpose that will never be paid in full. But I hope that in the world beyond, they find peace forever!"

When Ishmael finished, the knights carried the coffins off down into the crypt to be laid to rest. Deacon was still filled with sadness. ONce the ceremony was finished, the crowd started to scatter and go on their way. Deacon took off on his own back to his room. His mom took notice.

"Deacon! Is everything ok? You seem upset!" Helen said. "I'm fine mom! I just want some rest!" Deacon said heading off. He vanished from sight. "Give him some space! Besides, he's done enough for us!" Desmond said. Ishmael looked at Desmond with an interested look. He wondered something. But he had more important matters to look into. He had a city in chaos that he needed to control and fix. Uthyxeth joined Ishmael.

"Uthyxeth! What a shitstorm this is!" Ishmael said. "Yes sir!"

They went to their meeting room where the other night captains and nobles were sitting. There were others there too. There were warlocks, wizards, and witches from the magic society sitting at the table. It didn't take much for Ishmael to know what they wanted. He went to his seat at the very end of the table where he was to face them and address their concerns.
