Office Wars: Bathroom Politics Page 17

by James Patton

Half of the AI was already gone, but then he just disappeared. The vacuum he left behind tore Omicron and me apart, and I suddenly remembered everything. I knew who I was and what had transpired, but everything felt wrong.

I found myself in a place where data swirled around like paint in zero gravity. I turned around, and there was the presence of an AI I had hoped never to cross.

Why are you here? The Judge asked.

  Thank you for reading!

First, if you enjoyed the prologue, I apologize for ending it there. I plan on picking it up in another novel in the future, but it will just be Sci-Fi, not LitRPG. Working title is Omicron Offline. The point I wanted to get across is how Conor Ward became Patient 022.

I have to say I really enjoyed writing this book, and I hope you enjoyed reading it just as much. I really do appreciate all the kind words and feedback people have given me. I realize the language is a little rough so I was not sure how people would take it, but it has been overwhelmingly positive.

In future series, there will not be as much language, but I felt that this series needed it to accurately portray the scenario. If there are any Office Space fans out there, and I know there are, then you can understand the context.

Sorry if you find the ending a cliffhanger. I do try to wrap things up, but it was just too good of a stopping point. Stay tuned for Episode 3, I do not currently have a working title, but I am sure it will come to me. Was thinking something like ‘Lab Coats Optional’ but we will see.

  PSA!

Bob-sessive Compulsive Disorder (BCD) is no laughing matter. Bobs are everywhere. This started as a joke, but as I tried to find more Bob content and became aware of all the Bobs out there, holy smokes people. The last several books I read all had a character named Bob (including my own), and it is freaking me out!

I am just kidding, but I was serious by how many Bobs I uncovered. It is like that number 23 mental disorder, and if you start looking for 23, you see it everywhere. That is where BCD stems from, and I thought it would be fun to get it stuck in your head. Good luck! Oh, if you find a good subtle ‘Bob’, send me an email, maybe I’ll include it in a future episode.

  Where am I?

Several updates since the last book. I have a site you can find me at: www.jamesgpatton.com

Alternatively, feel free to email me at: [email protected]

My site has links to various social media accounts I have, including Google+, Twitter (@jamesgpatton), A Facebook Author Page, my Goodreads Author page, Patreon, and my Amazon Author Page. And probably more, but holy hell that is a lot of stuff to maintain.

  Enjoy LitRPG?

The book you just read is of a new genre called LitRPG, and the genre has two requirements. The first is that the story takes place mostly in a game world. Second it has game like mechanics, such as the skill ups.

Find out more at any of these places. I frequent them all.
