Somewhere in the midst of our new projects, I began to realize that I was having a marvelously good time. Marion's death was a stunning blow, but I recovered from that, too, in good time, and have come to realize that since the fall of Webb & Knapp I have, in effect, been privileged to live and to savor a second life and second career. How many other men get such an opportunity, I do not know, but I am grateful for mine. There are many fine, useful projects and developments waiting only for the proper push and financing to be brought into being. Chief among these is our fabulous water-displacement construction system for the creation of docks, buildings, and airports in rivers, lakes, or the sea itself. Meanwhile, other projects keep popping up in the form of my own or somebody else's new ideas. The job is to select among the possible choices and get to work.
