There is no rest for the weary within our tribe. A quarter cycle after the warriors return from the Great Hunt and we have emptied the whale of all useful pieces, we must leave for the Trading Summit. Ten of us, including Tarok, my father, and I, depart at dawn with our two boats and single canoe filled with wares. We will trade for a quarter cycle and then return home only to have the trading men of the west arrive a half cycle later. There is no rest for our tribe during the summer.
