Many well-known actresses of both the silent era and into the “talkies” had their start in the Ziegfeld Follies. Both silent screen stars Louise Brooks and Marion Davies, who became the mistress of newspaper media magnate William Randolph Hearst, began their acting careers as “hoofers” in the Follies.

So, if the idea that bringing the young opera star, Lucy, from Germany to California to appear in the new silent picture plays seems a bit far-fetched, it isn’t. A hundred years ago, just as today, the public will go to any lengths to see the icons they create. They need to see and create relationships with those they adore... following their every move, emulating their behaviour... thereby creating successful careers for the objects of their admiration, and becoming true and loyal fans.

I thank you all very much for reading the HEXE saga and getting into the clash between good and evil. But then, who is GOOD and who is really EVIL? Can we have sympathy for either side?... but more on that later.
