Unscripted Desires Page 14

“You can start any time,” James coaxed. “Tell us how you feel about Gemma working so many hours. You didn’t even get a honeymoon.”

A honeymoon would be nice, but I preferred to wait until after filming ended. We would enjoy ourselves more without Rich trying to interfere with every meal while camera crews attempted to catch every make-out session.

I shrugged. “We’re newly married, so it’s only natural that I want to keep her with me and in bed all day. Of course, you guys wouldn’t let me keep her in bed all day, anyway. Besides, I get all evening and all weekend. It just makes me appreciate my time with Gemma more.”

James chuckled before trying to get me talking again. “Are you getting excited about the movie?”

That question was a low blow since James already knew I hadn’t heard anything about my audition yet. It wasn’t a horrible sign. If they’d wholly ruled me out, I’d have already heard from them. The studio's silence meant I was still in the running.

I didn’t think this show was going to help me after seeing the drama-filled promo clips. None of them painted me in a horrible light, but they weren’t showing my best side either.

“I’d be lying if I didn’t say I’m a little worried, but if this one doesn’t pan out, I’ll find something else. For now, I’m glad I have time to focus on my marriage. It’s also giving me some time to do a little songwriting. Who knows? Maybe I’ll start touring with another band or go solo. This is a transition period for me, and I like having the time to think about what I’m going to do next.”

I paused, hoping I’d said enough, but the camera continued recording.

“It’s hard working on my marriage when it feels like a bunch of assholes who only care about ratings are constantly trying to ruin it,” I told him. “I’m happy with Gemma, but I’m looking forward to the day I no longer have to do these stupid chats.”

James looked like he was about to say something when my phone buzzed. I grabbed it and immediately answered the call when I saw it was from Tamara.

  “Hey, Tamara,” I greeted her.

“Hi, Ben.” She didn’t sound happy.

“You have bad news for me.”

“Unfortunately, I do,” she agreed. “The studio decided you aren’t the right fit for the movie.”

“Well, it’s my first audition, right?” I tried keeping my voice positive, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed.

“There are a couple of other voice-over jobs that may be right for you,” she stated. “If it’s okay with you, I’d like to send your audition clips out to them.”

“Sure,” I replied. “That’s good thinking. Thanks, Tamara.”

“Don’t stress,” she told me. “You got lucky with your music career. It’s your turn to work for what you want.”

“You’re right,” I agreed. “I’m going to get back to letting James harass me for this show.”

After ending the call, I let out a sigh. “I didn’t get the part.”

James made hand gestures to encourage me to continue.

“The only reason I went on this show was to prove I’m not some cheating dick, mostly to get that part. I’d be lying if I didn’t admit to being disappointed.”

“Do you feel like the show has been a waste of time now that you didn’t get the part?” James asked.

“How could I possibly regret something that brought Gemma into my life?”

Tucker had insisted on driving me home from work so we could stop for sushi. I’d missed hanging out with him, and I was looking forward to the end of filming so I could get back to a regular schedule. Then I’d have free time for the people in my life. I’d told Rich and Charity I had to work late so I could spend some extra time alone with Tucker. Ben knew the truth, of course, but he promised to keep my secret if I brought home sushi for him.

I waved at Tucker before putting my key in the lock and opening the door.

“Ben!” I called out when I entered the house. “I have your dinner.”

Ben came down the stairs and wrapped his arms around me. “I’m so glad you’re home.”

I pulled back to meet his gaze. “What’s wrong?”

“It’s not a huge deal,” he insisted. “I didn’t get the part in the movie.”

“I’m sorry,” I told him as I hugged him with one arm.

He took the sushi from me, and we headed toward the kitchen. “Tamara’s going to work on finding me another voice-over role.”

“I’m sure she’ll find something for you,” I assured him.

He nodded. “Yeah, Tamara always comes through for me.”

“How long have you worked with her?” I asked.

“She’s been with me from the beginning,” I replied. “According to her, everything came easily to me regarding my music. She thinks it may be my turn to struggle a little.”

“She may be right,” I agreed. “This was your first audition. If you really want this to happen, then it will happen.”

“This will also give me more time to spend with my new wife,” he stated.

“That is a good thing,” I agreed with a smile as I sat across from him.

Ben took a bite of his food, “Damn, this is good sushi. I didn’t realize how hungry I was until I started eating.”

“Did you skip lunch?” I asked.

“I got caught up writing music,” he explained.

“Can I hear what you wrote?” I asked.

“Not yet,” he replied. “So far, it’s pretty bad, but it helped relieve some of my tension.”

“If it relieved tension, then it’s good,” I stated.

“After I finish this sushi, we could ditch the camera crew and head upstairs to relieve even more tension,” he suggested.

“I wish we could,” I said with a sigh. “We have plans for tonight.”

Ben scowled. “Damn plans. I’m not in the mood to go out, but I suppose it’s in the contract.”

“Sadly, it is,” I agreed. “It would be better if we could stay here and find something to take your mind off your disappointment. Then again, maybe going out will be good for you. I know staying at home is making you a little stir crazy, especially when your life is up in the air.”

“That is tough on me,” he agreed.

We discussed my day and Ben’s plans for the week as we finished eating. After tossing the takeout containers, the conversation shifted back to Ben’s disappointment over the lost role.

“Tamara seemed convinced this show would help me get the job.”

“I still don’t know why,” I stated. “She had to know the drama would be over the top.”

He blew out a frustrated breath. “They promised they wouldn’t make me look like the bad guy.”

“Ah, so that was supposed to be my role,” I deduced.

“Not necessarily. I think they’re happy with us staying together, but they still needed people for the audience to hate,” he explained. “It’s what makes the show a success.”

“You sound like Rich,” I told him.

  “Take that back,” he warned.

“What are you going to do if I don’t?” I asked with a smile.

He took a minute to ponder his answer. “That’s a good question. I’d threaten to turn you over my knee, but you’d like that.”

“Very much,” I agreed. “It was a lot of fun last time.”

“But not a deterrent from you saying I sound like Rich,” he pointed out.

“The best way to get me to stop saying you sound like Rich is to stop sounding like Rich,” I remarked. “Now, aren’t you glad I’m here to solve all your problems?”

“You’ve come nowhere near solving all of my problems,” he murmured.

“I’ll be happy to help with your other problem,” I purred before reality in the form of James clearing his throat interrupted. “After our evening out.”

“Right,” Ben grumbled. “We wouldn’t want to miss another evening out.”

  Chapter 46

  Ben

I’d been a little down when Gemma returned home, but my mood had steadily improved once she’d arrived with sushi. Our trip to the museum probably looked great on camera, but I’d been thinking about going home the entire time we were out.

I couldn’t stop thinking about getting Gemma naked. It would have been easier to focus on something else if the little tease hadn’t continued to brush against me as she looked at the exhibits. It might have appeared innocent to those around us, but I knew she was trying to keep me half-hard the entire trip.

We were back at my place, and we’d finished our end of the day monologues. I could finally spend some time alone with Gemma. She approached me at the bottom of the stairs with a sexy smile. My fingers brushed against her cheek in a tender caress. I wanted to carry her upstairs and make love to her for hours.

At least, that’s what I wanted until she leaned in to press her breasts against my chest as she looked up at me. “Why don’t you let me unzip those jeans for you and take care of your problem?”

I groaned when she dropped to her knees in front of me and reached for the buckle on my jeans.

“Maybe we should take this upstairs.” There was no conviction in my voice.

Her response was a soft laugh as she continued to unfasten my pants. “I’d have an easier time believing that was a genuine suggestion if you weren’t gripping my hair.”

I looked down at her as she pulled my cock from my pants. “It’s hard to suggest anything that would involve taking my dick away from your mouth. You look so fucking sexy like this.”

  “Ah, so you like this?”

I didn’t get a chance to respond before she took me between her lips and sucked gently on the tip. All I could manage was a strangled noise that sounded a little like an agreement. How could I talk when she had my cock in her talented mouth?

She cradled my balls with one hand as she suckled my dick. I continued to grip her hair as she slid me out. Her other hand reached up to grasp the base as she ran her tongue along the underside. I was nearly out of my mind with lust within minutes.

“You’d better stop teasing me unless you’re hoping to have me repay the favor later,” I warned.

Her laughter vibrated around me, making me groan again. The woman was trying to kill me with pleasure, and I wasn’t sure I had it in me to put up a fight.

Still gripping the base, she took me as far into her mouth as she could before sliding me back out nearly all the way. I used my hand in her hair to hold her in place as I thrust in and out slowly.

She let out a moan of appreciation as I fucked her mouth. I was close to coming, and as much as I loved her sweet mouth, I wanted to look into her eyes as I found my release. When I started to step back, she tried to keep me from removing my dick, but my hands remained in her hair to prevent her from following me.

“Not like this,” I told her before reaching down and pulling her to her feet.

Once she stood before me, I reached around to unzip the back of her dress, pushing it down so it pooled around her feet. I was too close to the edge for drawn-out foreplay, but I needed to make sure she was as close to coming before I took her. My hand slipped into her panties to stroke her clit as my tongue explored her mouth.

Her hands went under my shirt, and her fingernails scored my back. I had her screaming my name as she came in no time.

With shaky hands, I pulled a condom from my pocket and rolled it on. I practically ripped off her panties and lifted her from the ground. She straddled my hips as she reached between us to position the head of my dick at her entrance. I let out a shuddering breath of relief when she slid down my cock. I walked her to the door and leaned her against it.

Her hot pussy still pulsed with the aftershocks of her orgasm as I slid her up and down my dick. My gaze remained locked with hers. I simply couldn’t look away as I felt myself nearing the edge. Her fingernails dug into my shoulders as she tightened even more around me, pushing me over the edge.

It took some time to get my breathing under control so I could speak. Still inside of her, I leaned my forehead against hers and smiled. “Hi.”

She let out a sleepy laugh. “Hi, yourself. Is that all you have to say?”

“You may have turned my brain to mush with that blow job,” I admitted. “I don’t think I’ll ever get enough of you.”

“I certainly hope not,” she whispered.

Our first couple of days without the camera crew following us around, all we did was hang out at the house. I enjoyed the freedom of being able to take my wife any time I wanted. I’d had her in every room at least once, and I wanted to repeat the process a dozen times.

Gemma was a little stressed as she waited to hear back about her college applications, but I knew how to help her relax.

We were currently eating tacos at the breakfast bar. I had on my boxers, and Gemma had on nothing but one of my band t-shirts. It was one of the sexiest things I’d ever seen.

“You have that goofy grin on your face again,” she said after finishing her taco.

“It’s your fault,” I told her.

  “My fault?” she asked.

“Yep,” I replied with a nod. “You walk around here looking all sexy. That makes me think about getting you naked again.”

She looked down at her attire and then back at me. “Sexy?”

“Hasn’t anyone ever told you how hot it is when a woman wears her man’s clothing?” I asked.

“I’ve heard that, but it never made sense to me,” she replied. “You’re the one who’s walking around with all that exposed skin. Do you have any idea how distracting that is? I might have choked on my taco.”

“Are you saying I should cover up?” I asked with a quirked eyebrow.

“No,” she replied with a sigh. “I’ll have to get used to having such a sexy husband around all the time. It won’t be easy, but I’ll do my best.”

“Well, I appreciate your struggle,” I replied with a grin. “This has been the best weekend I’ve had in weeks.”

“Same here,” she agreed. “That show was stressful. It’s so nice to eat without Rich glaring at us for not eating his nasty bland food. We should go out.”

“Or we could stay in and get naked again,” I suggested.

Gemma paused to consider my suggestion before shifting in her seat. “I may not be able to walk for work tomorrow at the rate we’re going. Going out seems like a good idea.”

I let out an exaggerated sigh. “All right. I guess I can share you with the world if you’re so determined to go out. Remember, I am not in favor of you putting on clothing.”

“It’s required when one goes out in public,” she stated. “How about if we go to one of Remi’s clubs? I can put on one of those sexy dresses the show bought for me.”

“That could be fun,” I mused. “I’d like to dance with you.”

It was a Sunday night, so it shouldn’t be that crowded. I could go out in public without being recognized by too many people when I chose to, but it was harder with so many promos for the show running. The show itself wouldn’t start airing for another four weeks. Sometime after that, we’d each have to discuss how our marriage was going. They usually did those interviews separately because the couple hated each other. We were going to be their one success story.

“Maybe Jade and Remi can meet us there,” she suggested.

I nodded. “Give them a call. Then we can shower. Once I get you all clean, we’ll get ready to head out.”

She laughed at my suggestion. “You’re going to get me clean? I find that hard to believe, considering what usually happens in the shower.”

  “I’ll get you clean, eventually.”

Remi was working at The Project that night, and Jade agreed to meet us there. A local band, Deluded Serenity, was using the VIP room, and Remi had assured us they wouldn’t mind having
us join them.

I’d met the bassist, Lex, a few times, though I didn’t know him well. His sister, Mercy, was business partners with Jade.

“What are they celebrating?” I asked Remi as we headed up to the VIP room.

“They just signed with a label and have a tour coming up in a few months,” Remi replied.

  “Stone Morrison?”

When I looked up at the top of the stairs, my eyes widened as I saw Gage Addison and Xander Marsh from Reckless Release heading out of the VIP room.

“Hey!” Ben greeted them each with a grin as they shook hands. Xander pulled Ben in for a hug. “I didn’t know you guys were going to be here.”

“I thought you’d already left,” Remi remarked.

“I forgot my jacket,” Xander explained. “I’m surprised to see you here, Stone.”

“I just moved out here,” Ben explained. “This is my wife, Gemma.”

  “Jade’s sister, right?” Gage asked.

“That’s right,” I confirmed. My sister had recently planned a wedding for the band’s drummer.

“So, you really moved out here?” Xander asked. “This isn’t a temporary situation for that reality show you’re doing?”

“No, I’m here to stay,” Ben replied.

“In that case, I’d like to meet with you to talk about this new project we’re working on,” Gage began. “It’s a music program for kids.”

“That sounds interesting,” Ben agreed. “Why don’t you give me your number, and I’ll call you?”

“Sounds good,” Xander replied before giving him both his and Gage’s numbers. “We’d love to stay and talk, but my family is waiting at home. It was good seeing you, man.”

“Hopefully, we’ll hear from you soon,” Gage added.

  “You will,” Ben assured them.

“It was good meeting you, Gemma,” Gage said as he passed me.

“Make sure Stone calls me,” Xander told me.

“That project sounds interesting,” Ben remarked.

“This could give you something rewarding to do while you wait for a job offer,” I agreed. “Is Jade already upstairs?”
