Diamond looked over at him. “Okay,”
Positioning the phone on them, she snapped their picture and before she snapped the next one, Xavier kissed her cheek. Diamond turned her face and their lips touched, for the next shots. She pulled the phone down and scrolled through the pictures of them.
Xavier looked at them over her shoulder. “Now that’s a magnificent couple.”
Diamond glanced up at him. “Yes, I agree.”
He took her hand, and began to lead her through the park.
“What if someone sees us?” Diamond asked.
“I doubt if any of the rapper crews are in the park this time of day and it doesn’t matter, they all believe that we’re already sleeping together,” Xavier told her.
She stopped. “Is that what you told them?”
“No, I didn’t tell them anything. You’re a beautiful woman, Diamond, and if I were truly a rapper, of course I’d be sleeping with you by now,” he explained.
Diamond snatched her hand away. “So you just want them to think their assumptions are real?”
Xavier sighed. “Honesty, I really wasn’t thinking about them. I’m in New York, in a beautiful park, with the beautiful woman that I’ve waited for my whole life, and I just wanted to be with her, because she’s been gone for over six years…and I don’t know if, or when, I’ll get another chance just to walk through the park with her.”
Diamond stared up at him, then took his hand again and they began walking slowly for a while.
“I did miss you, Xavier,” Diamond said, softly. “And thank you for being so sweet and charming to me…you always have been, even when I didn’t respond appropriately.”
He looked down at her. “I only want you to respond honestly, Diamond.”
Silently, they began to walk again, taking in the scenery.
“Can you believe that this was once the home of a black village, right here in New York?” Diamond asked, shaking her head.
“Tara’s book on Seneca Village was amazing. Middle class Blacks that owned property in the 1800s. Most people think that’s a myth…” Xavier commented.
Diamond looked at him. “I wonder if one day, people will think that we’re a myth. Black people who knew who they were and where they came from. Men and women that risked their own lives to protect the lives of others, and to change the systems put in place that forces and retains our people, in some form of bondage.”
She sighed. “Or will they not even care to know? Will they walk through parks created over our remains and go on with their day? Will they say that who we were, wasn’t real either, because they didn’t see us represented on the screen or in books?” Diamond asked.
“That’s why we’ve chosen this life, Diamond, and we will leave our marks on this world. We were created for this destiny, and we’ll use the power that we have, to change what we can.” Xavier told her firmly.
They stopped again, and Diamond stared at him. “Handsome, brilliant and fearless. You’re amazing.”
“I still owe you some apricots,” Xavier said, touching her face.
“I’d rather come to your house and have some,”
He nodded slowly. “Then, it’s a date.”
She smiled and agreed before they headed back to the car. They were driven to the private studio and Xavier showed Diamond inside to a room with mirrored walls and a pole in the corner. She lifted a brow and looked at him.
“Dancers practice here, too.” He explained.
Diamond stood as Xavier grabbed a chair and sat it in the middle of the floor facing the mirrors. He turned to her with a sexy grin. “You can sit here.”
Eyeing him, she walked over to the chair and took a seat, dropping her bag to the floor. “Did you have this place checked out for safety, bugs, cameras, etc.?” she questioned, removing her blazer and placing it over her purse.
Xavier nodded as he walked over to the state-of-the-art sound system in the room. “Yes, that’s what Justice was doing this morning.”
“So you took care of all of this yourself…”
He stood connecting his device to the speakers. “Yes, I did.”
“Is there a reason, you didn’t want your Personal Assistant to do this?” Diamond asked, watching him work on connecting his device.
“Because right now, you’re not my Personal Assistant.”
“Who am I then?”
He turned to her. “My private audience.”
She blinked as he turned back to the system and made music come through the speakers, then placed the device in his back pocket. Their eyes locked as he strode toward her slowly. He started the slower song that she recognized from his performance, where the lyrics got pretty raunchy at some points.
This private performance was more sensual than the one he did on stage and Diamond sat back enjoying the sexy show. In loose jeans and another of Skye’s tight ass shirts, he entertained her immensely, before he dropped to his knees in front of her chair.
She caught her breath, when he spread her legs apart, then squeezed her thighs. Diamond heard him say the words, while he held her gaze.
If you got the time, baby, I wanna watch
If you wanna grind, baby, then I’m on the clock
You got that working, baby, I give you this business
Diamond felt his hands move around to her ass and pull her forward into his body before he wrapped her strong legs around his waist. She watched in the mirror as Xavier moved his mouth to her ear and whispered:
Got me losing my mind, found it between your legs
You thinking deeper, baby, I’m all in your head…
The other lyrics actually had Diamond flushing, coming from his lips to her ears. Xavier finished the song, then stood to his feet with Diamond attached to his body. He turned and sat on the chair with her straddling his lap.
She looked down into his face. “Isn’t this where you ask, ‘sexy girls, do you love thugs’?”
Xavier stared at her, then asked, “Sexy girl, do you love me?”
Diamond cradled his jaw. “You have my permission…” she whispered and waited.
Studying her face, Xavier fell in love even deeper and when he read her thoughts. He closed his eyes to deal with the emotions overwhelming his mind. He sat digesting the fact that she loved him, and also the trepidation felt.
“What’s wrong?” Diamond asked, concerned.
He opened his eyes and looked at her. “I love you, too, Diamond…and you don’t have to worry.” Xavier kissed her softly. “I promise you, everything will be fine.”
“You’re the genius, so I’m going to trust you,” Diamond told him.
“Have I ever let you down?”
She shook her head. “No, Xavier…you never have. You’ve always been on my side and in my corner.” Diamond kissed him this time. “And I’m going to do the same…”
Xavier pulled her closer and kissed her hotly, while caressing her body with strong hands. Reaching up, he cupped her breast and she arched into his hand. His other large hand gripped her ass and she moaned into his mouth.
Diamond lifted her head and took a moment to catch her breath. Staring down into his handsome face, her brown eyes darkened. “Turn the music back on…” she whispered.
He got his device from his pocket and watched her for a moment before the music filled the room again. Diamond slowly slid from his lap to her feet, then turned her back to him. She looked at him over her shoulder, before his hands went to her waist and he spread his legs in anticipation for her firm, round ass on his lap.
When she landed, he groaned and when she began to demonstrate her uh, talents…he gripped her hips. Xavier let her go as long as he could stand it, before they both got naked on the floor, and that’s not what he wanted with his Goddess for their first time coming together in love.
He stood to his feet, causing Diamond to land on her heels. She turned to him with a smile and looped her arms around his neck. “Now tonight, you won’t need any little dancers on your lap
,” she told him pointedly.
Xavier lifted her into his arms with her legs around his back. “I’ve never needed that,” he told her.
“Did you really have my brother come sweep this room, so you could seduce me?” Diamond asked.
“I had your brother sweep this room, because I wanted to be alone with you away from the hotels, the bus, the Heirs, and all of this.” Xavier explained. “And no one would have questions about us coming here…”
“Why did you stop me?” she questioned softly.
“Because I read your mind and that wasn’t going to happen…” Xavier told her, watching her expression. “When we come together, Goddess…it won’t be on the floor or the wall, of some random studio.”
He smiled at her. “You’re Diamond Black.”
“You probably should stop reading my mind,” Diamond told him. “It gets pretty descriptive…when I think about you.”
“It’s nothing that I haven’t already thought…and more.” Xavier replied.
“Is it wild?” she asked, clenching her legs around him.
He nodded, tightening his grip on her ass cheeks, and holding her against the evidence of his desire for her. “Earth-shattering…” he said, against her soft lips.
Xavier sat on the chair, with Diamond in his arms.
“Do you know how long I’ve waited to be with you like this?” Xavier asked.
Her lids lowered. “It’ll be worth it.”
“I already know that you’re worth the wait, Diamond.”
“We’re going to finish this mission and get all of our asses home,” Diamond told him. “And then we’re going to make up for some lost time.”
Xavier stared at her, cupping her soft, full breast. “We can start right now…” He kissed where the ‘x’ laid on her mounds.
She sighed and held his face against heated flesh. “You want some more of this Black Magic?”
“You know there’s a reason why Lily Masters had genius twins and a female Benjamin Rucker?” he asked, moving her dark hair away from her neck to taste her sable skin.
“Was it something like this?” she asked rubbing against the erection in his jeans.
He pressed her firmly against that reason.
Diamond groaned. “Mmmm…don’t read my mind right now…”
Chapter 15
Later that afternoon, Xavier, Six, and Justice met with Steph at Watson Entertainment’s location in New York. Back in his home town, Steph occupied the CEO office and sat across from his wife’s family.
“What’s going on guys?” Steph asked.
“A couple of things,” Six answered. “There’s a message board that circulates what body parts this organ trafficker is seeking…and you’re on it.”
Steph frowned. “That has to be a mistake. I’ve never seen or heard of anything like that.”
“We figured that,” Xavier explained. “See the message board is for industry professionals and every well-known name on there. The trafficker is using encrypted messages on that board that requires a special app to read. So only the ones who know that the messages are there, can go and download them into the app.”
Steph shook his head. “You mean to tell me, that someone I possibly know is doing this?”
Six nodded. “A very likely possibility.”
They waited while Steph digested the information. “What message board is this?” Steph asked and Six gave him the name.
Steph picked up the phone on his desk that connected to his assistant.
“Yes, Mr. Worthy?”
“I want the names and contact information of every person on the Hollywood Industry and Processes message board. Find out who signed me up on there and who is manning this account.” Steph instructed.
“Yes, Mr. Worthy. I’ll get right on it.”
Disconnecting the call, Steph looked across the room.
“I’m signed up for many groups and message boards, and my staff manages those types of things,” he explained. “But I’m about to find out what the hell is going on.”
“Jade discovered that your account hasn’t accessed those messages, but whoever is manning that account may have seen something, so we’d like to talk to them.” Xavier relayed.
“You all know that I’m here to help in whatever way I can,” Steph affirmed.
“We appreciate that, Steph. You’ve done a lot to assist us,” Six said gratefully.
“How have things been going?” Steph asked. “I got information on John Brown’s death at the last stop. Pretty tragic to have your heart go out like that.”
The three shared a look and Steph lowered his head. “I don’t want to know.”
“Did you know him?” Xavier questioned.
“Not personally,” Steph answered. “I’ve seen him in passing, but we didn’t run in the same circles.”
Six nodded. “Can you name some people that you know he was closely associated with?”
Steph agreed. “Sure, I can put that list together.”
“Thanks,”
“Do you guys need anything else?” Steph inquired. “Is the bus okay, and the accommodations?”
Justice looked at Steph. “How much is Watson Entertainment spending on this?”
Steph stared at Justice. “What we budget for all acts on tour. We’ve had to increase it for the additional days you’ve planned to stay on the road with the crew.”
“Everything is fine, Steph.” Six inserted. “We have eight more stops, with four back to back performances. So far, everything has been just what we need.”
Steph looked at Xavier. “I heard the show in D.C. went well. We might really have to sign you.”
Xavier smiled. “No, I’m ready to be done with the X-Ception.”
“The X-Ception is getting offers for other tours.” Steph informed him. “According to my marketing team, the women love you.”
Justice slid Xavier a glance. “I guess they do…” he commented.
“Well, if you need anything, let me know.” Steph said, looking at his watch. “I have to get ready for dinner with my wife and Diamond.”
“Justice is with us tonight so you’ll make sure that Diamond gets back to the hotel safely?” Xavier checked with Steph.
Steph nodded. “Of course, I’ll send Tara’s detail with her. You know how much we love Diamond…”
“You’re not the only one…” Justice glanced at Xavier.
“You should send him with Steph.” Xavier told Six.

Diamond sat across from Tara, in Tara and Steph’s New York apartment. Looking at her best friend, Tara studied her.
“How are things on the mission?” she asked.
Diamond stared out of the window over the New York skyline. “It has started very quickly.”
“Are you okay?” Tara asked concerned.
Diamond sighed. “Yes, how are the kids?”
Tara smiled. “They’re good. Momma and Daddy love keeping them.”
“I’m sure they do.”
“I’d bring them with me, but Stephen wanted this trip for the two of us,” Tara explained.
Diamond continued to stare at the scenery. “That’s sweet…”
“Diamond, what’s going on?”
Turning to her, Diamond said, “I did it…”
Tara’s eyes widened and she put a hand to her mouth. “With Xavier?”
She nodded. “Yes,”
“While you’re on the mission?” Tara questioned.
“No, actually before the mission…”
Tara looked confused. “You had sex with Xavier before the mission?”
Diamond frowned. “No! What are you talking about?”
“What are you talking about?” Tara questioned.
“I’m talking about falling in love with Xavier,” Diamond told her.
Tara smiled. “You’ve fallen in love with him?”
Diamond threw her head back. “I had to be honest with myself. Xavier is the only man who’s ever been on my min
d and in my heart. He’s the only one who’s strong enough to shake me to my core.”
“What has happened?”
Sitting up, Diamond looked at her. “All the Heirs know about us now, and they’ve agreed to let us tell the rest of the family ourselves.” She paused. “Justice and Xavier had a fight…”
“What about the rules?” Tara asked.
“Justice swung first and Xavier protected himself. He didn’t try to hurt Justice, although we know that he could,” Diamond explained.
Tara shook her head. “We all told Justice to train with my Daddy or Uncle Jordan.”
“Xavier was willing to fight Justice over me,” Diamond said quietly. “And you know how close they are,”
“Justice is such a hot head sometimes,” Tara commented. “And you know how much he loves you and Jade.”
“I never thought he’d act like this,” Diamond confessed.
“He’s Justice…he’ll come around.” Tara comforted. “Now Uncle Jordan…”
Diamond closed her eyes. “I’m hoping that Daddy has mellowed and once he gets over the initial surprise, everything will be fine.”
“Uncle Jordan?”
She looked at Tara. “Thanks for the support.”
“I’m just being honest,” Tara told her. “You know I don’t lie.”
“Then what should I do, Tara?” Diamond asked.
“Diamond, you know how everyone was when I was seeing Stephen. They’ll be a pain at first, but as soon as they realize that you’re happy…they won’t want to see you any other way.”
Folding her arms, Diamond frowned. “I’m not going to let them harass either of us. We’re both adults and can do whatever we want.”
“Yes, you are and you’ll have to remind them of that.”
Diamond smirked. “I have no problem putting everybody in their place.”
“Well, you have my support. I think you and Xavier are amazing together.” Tara told her.
“We performed the ritual,” Diamond shook her head. “The energy was unbelievable…I watched Xavier do his thing and I think I was the one who got hypnotized.”
Tara laughed. “Xavier has always been a marvel. A man would have to be, to shake Diamond Black to the core.”
“This rapper thing has shown me a different side of him.” Diamond confessed. “He’s always been my sweet, supportive Xavier.”
