The Pale War Page 42

by Max Jager

One ship landed right in front of Alerius and opened up. At least five platoons of men came running out of the ship with their guns blazing! They all ran past Alerius firing at the small monsters that seemed to come up from the surface. One of the soldiers yelled out, "Damn xunnies! Kill them all!"

Alerius then looked inside of the huge battle cruiser that landed in front of him. It was an advanced version of The Osiris. One more platoon came running out of the ship and when they were past Alerius, a single man stood in the opening. He was the admiral of the ship. Alerius could tell from his uniform.

Walking up into the ship, Alerius wanted to get a better look at this admiral. He was a younger man of about only nineteen. Alerius was older then him. "Agent Red Firius?" This young admiral asked. His voice was full of strength and vigor like the captain of a football team. He might be inexpierenced but he more then made up for it with a gentile inner cockiness.

  Alerius nodded his head.

"Oh God, this is amazing!" The admiral had a real young voice. It was not battle harden in anyway. Alerius figured he was right out of school. He wondered if he had ever even commanded a ship before.

The admiral spoke again. "You're a legend! I can't believe your standing right here…"

Alerius cut him off. "What's you name?"

"Admiral Galleon, sir!" He saluted Alerius and Alerius just cocked his eyebrow.

Alerius waved his hand down. "You out rank me, admiral. Put your hand down."

Galleon put his hand down a little surprised. He then realized that he did out rank him. Didn't make him any difference though. He was just a little nervous standing right in front of the Red Firius. He then asked Alerius, "Where's the Leyline, agent?"

Shifting his eyes to the metal floor, Alerius could hear the roaring of gunfire outside. He looked out and saw Aurela in the distance. She was still over the hellion forces, giving them orders. He pointed outward towards her.

Galleon looked out and saw her. His mouth dropped almost complete to the ground. "What happened Red Firius?"

Alerius stared at Aurela as he answered the admiral. "It's an extremely long story."

Galleon began to close the ships exit doors as he began to talk to Alerius. "We've had a B-plan for something like this agent. They weren't sure if you or the Leyline were dead after what happen on Scalobore. They sent an entire fleet out looking for you!"

"Let me guess, you're that fleet?"

"That's right Red. Since you're alive will have to rethink are strategy. Come on, you look like Hell!"

Alerius was still staring at Aurela as the battle cruisers doors shut tight. "You would to if you had been through what I've been through."

  Planet Wrath Burn: Revelations

Domaren blasted out of the magma in a fury! He looked all over for Alerius or Aurela. By this time though, they were up in the forth chamber having it out with The Flaming Meteorite. He dragged himself out of the lava pit and stood tall in the chamber. He was totally unharmed from the liquid fire. Alerius might have become fire proof but Domaren was born that way. Not only that but the fire had rejuvenated him. If Alerius hadn't shot him into the lava, the Turquoise Shotgun would have surely done him in.

Growling a bit and getting the kinks out of his neck, he looked over to one of the rock walls and jumped right out of the volcano right through the wall. He landed behind the volcano and looked around while still dripping with magma. He saw the ship that Korzen had come in. He walked over and saw a human soldier sitting there. It was like he was waiting for something. Domaren calmly walked up to the glass and knocked gently on it.

Soren looked up and got this wide eyed look of terror. He suddenly calmed down and closed his eyes, "Well, get it over with."

Domaren cocked his head a bit but it didn't take him long to understand. The soldier thought he was going to kill him. He wasn't though. He could sense that this little human had an infinite knowledge of vehicles. Domaren thought it might be a waste just to kill him. No, he had a better idea. He opened the glass canopy and got in the passenger side seat. The last of the magma was dripping off his body and was burning the seat.

The Hammer of Hell looked over at the human soldier. Soren knew exactly what he wanted. He didn't even hear a voice in his head. He just knew. Like Domaren had planted the idea in his head. He wanted him to hunt down The Red Firius.

Soren looked at him. "I think it would be better to wait. See what happens, then when he's at a vulnerable spot, strike!"

Easing back in the passenger side seat, Domaren agreed with him. He would hunt down the agent until one of two things happen. He would die or The Red Firius would die. He was certainly not going after the latter. They waited there until the huge battle cruiser left with Alerius on it and the smaller ship that the two were in followed it.

Meanwhile, Aurela destroyed most of the human forces on Wrath Burn and got in contact with the other hellion base planets. She was getting ready to launch a massive counter-offensive on the universe! Hogarth, Traxus, Whitmore, Reign, and plenty of others were on her hit-list!

She also started on her master plan. To recreate the Oadins all over again. To undo what almost 30 years of fighting had done. She would start with the most ripest of clay. When she inherited the power of Flaming she had also gained something else from him. As a last resort to keep his power eternal besides just handing it over. An evil being that would soon be born into existence more powerful then either Aurela or Flaming. He had given Aurela a son!
