“You got it.” He takes off to round people up. Some of the brothers are already headed toward the front of the clubhouse. I run inside to my room. Belle is laying in her kennel with the door open but runs up to me as soon as she notices me.
“Hey, sweet girl. Let’s get you to Mommy.” I pick her up and grab her backpack. Everything is still in it since I hadn’t fed her yet. I walk out of my room and almost run into Tink. “Why aren’t you in the bunker yet?”
“I was worried about Belle.”
I shake my head with a smile and hand Belle to Tink. “Get to the bunker and stay there. Hollywood or I will come for you as soon as it’s safe.”
I kiss her and make sure she walks toward where the bunker is. As soon as I see her walk into the room where the secret door is, I head out front to help my brothers. I find Hollywood right away and run over to him.
“Why the hell aren’t you with Tink,” he asks.
“You said as many men as possible. I couldn’t not come help.”
“Fuck, D.” He pauses, hesitating before saying anything else. “What if something happens to both of us? What will Tink do?”
“Nothin’ will happen to us. We got this.”
He shakes his head but doesn’t try to argue with me. A loud bang draws our attention to the front gate. I pull my Glock out, ready to use it if needed. Seconds later, a group of Cartel thugs breaks through and a firefight ensues. At least five of their guys drop right away. For every one that goes down, two more show up.
Out of nowhere, some guy tackles me to the ground. He gets a couple of good hits in before I’m able to get control of the situation. I flip him onto his back and slam my fist into his nose a few times. I get to my feet and take a moment to catch my breath.
“Diesel! Watch out,” Hollywood calls out. I look to my left and he’s pointing at something. As I turn to see what, I’m tackled again. I shake off the shock and notice it was Trigger.
“Shit!” He rolls onto his back holding his side.
“Damn it, Trigger was shot,” I shout to whoever is close. I hurry to his side and put pressure on his wound. “Stay with me, brother.”
Shots are going off everywhere around me. Bullets are whizzing by, barely missing me, but I stay with Trigger. What feels like an hour later, the shooting stops. A hand on my shoulder startles me.
“Diesel, he’s gone,” Raze tells me. “It’s over.”
I drop to my ass and hang my head. “This is the worst part of all this shit.”
“I know, man. It never gets any easier.”
I pop my head up. “Where’s Hollywood?”
“He’s fine. He’s by the fire pit,” Raze says.
“Was anyone else hurt?”
“Thor didn’t make it,” he states.
“Fuck!”
“I’m gonna go get Minx,” he mutters and walks away.
I stay where I’m at until I notice red and blue lights by the busted gate.

Tink
I was reluctant to leave Diesel when he handed me Belle, but I know whatever is going on is serious. I make my way to the hidden passage to the bunker. It’s one of the coolest things about this clubhouse, though this is the first time I’ve ever had to hide there. The Cartel isn’t fucking around anymore and the fact that they’re trying to break through the front gate is terrifying. Who knows what will happen if they do.
As soon as we get into the bunker, I set Belle’s bag down, but keep her in my arms. The bunker is big enough to hold all the brothers and Ol’ Ladies comfortably. They have it stocked with non-perishable foods and bottled water in case we have to stay in here for multiple days.
“Aw, I didn’t know you had Belle here!” Minx walks over to us and scratches Belle’s head.
“Yeah, she was hanging out in Diesel’s room during the wedding,” I explain. “He was actually about to come feed her when Hollywood ran off.”
“Do you have her food with you? You could feed her now,” she suggests.
“Yeah, I could.” I sit down with Belle in my lap, completely frazzled. There’s always some crazy shit going on around here. Lockdowns, I’m used to. Being in the bunker, not so much. Minx sits next to me, grabbing the backpack.
“You’re not alone in this, Tink. We’re all in this together,” Minx reminds me.
“I’m glad I decided to have my parents watch Caden tonight,” Cali says, joining us on the floor.
“Yeah, that was a good call,” Minx agrees. She pulls out Belle’s food dish and the travel container that holds her food. Minx pours out a cup and fills the dish. Belle hops out of my lap and goes straight for the bowl. I lay on my side, using the backpack as a pillow.
The other girls join us after a while. We talk about how beautiful Marley and Rascal’s wedding was even though the reception was cut short. We make a promise to Marley that we’ll continue the celebration next weekend. She more than deserves it.
After what feels like hours later, Raze walks into the bunker. A grim expression covers his face. Minx jumps up and runs into his arms. He holds onto her like his life depends on it. Picking Belle up, I stand and walk over to them.
“Is it safe to go out there,” I ask Raze.
He lifts his eyes to mine without letting go of Minx. “Yeah, it is. They both are gonna need you.”
My heart drops at the sound of his words. I hurry out of the bunker and out to the front of the clubhouse. Nothing could have prepared me for the sight I was met with. The front gate is busted open. How they managed that, I’m not even sure. There are bodies all over the place.
“Tinsley, babe, what are you doin’ out here,” Hollywood asks, wrapping me in his arms.
“Raze came for Minx. He told me you would need me. What happened?” I beg.
“The Cartel was out for blood and they got it. Only, we got more.” It’s a bit vague but I get what he’s saying.
“Who on our side died?”
“Thor and Trigger.”
If Hollywood wasn’t holding me, I would have fallen to the ground at that moment. Thor and Trigger are both officers. Thor is one of the original five who started the Savage Menaces MC. From what I know, Trigger came around shortly after. He might as well have been one of the originals. All deaths around here are hard. Everyone is family. But the death of an officer, of an original, it’s going to be the hardest deaths for them to deal with.
“Where’s Diesel,” I ask Hollywood.
“Talkin’ with Butch. Lettin’ him know what went down and tryin’ to figure out what’s gonna happen next,” he explains.
“Can we wait out here for him?”
“Of course,” he says. “Let’s go sit down.”
A few days later, the energy in the clubhouse is still quite somber. Diesel, Hollywood, and I are back at our house. Diesel’s mom, Krissy, and his sister, Mila, are supposed to be coming into town today, so I’ve busied myself with cleaning and baking for them.
“Tinsley, you need to quit cleanin’ and come chill out,” Hollywood calls out from the living room. “Everything looks great and they’re gonna love you.”
I pop my head out of the kitchen, glaring at him. “But what if they don’t?”
“Not possible. Anyone who has ever met you, loves you.”
“Not true.”
“Who doesn’t love you?”
I don’t even hesitate. “Carmine.”
“She doesn’t fuckin’ count!”
“When I get along with most of the other cut bunnies, then yes, she does count.” I stick my tongue out at him.
“Put that thing away,” he warns.
Before I can respond, the front door opens. My heart races. I’ve never worried so much about meeting a guy’s mom before. Maybe because I never felt for them what I feel for Diesel and Hollywood. I’ve met Hollywood’s parents once when we were younger. They weren’t the friendliest people. I walk into the living room at the same time D, Krissy, and Mila do.
“Eek! Finally!” Mila rushes to me
, throwing her arms around me. I can’t help but laugh. We’ve been texting almost every day for about a month now, both of us looking forward to this moment.
“I’m so glad y’all are here! How was your flight,” I ask.
“Boring!” Mila fakes a yawn.
“Mila, quit hogging her!” Krissy chastises her, making me laugh again. “Come here, sweetie. Let me get a look at you.”
Mila moves to the side and Krissy opens her arms to me. I walk to her, giving her a hug.
“It’s so nice to finally meet you,” Krissy says. She glances over my shoulder. “Oh, and you must be Hollywood.”
“Yes, ma’am,” he says.
“Well, don’t just stand there. Give me a hug!”
He chuckles but complies. Mila pulls me to the side.
“Have you taken a test yet?” She whispers.
I nod.
“And?”
I smirk at her. “Don’t say anything yet. I have an appointment to confirm it tomorrow.”
“Please take me with you,” she begs.
“Having you there would be wonderful.” I smile.

Tink
The next day, Mila and I tell the others that we’re going shopping. When really, we’re going to my OB/GYN appointment. I took a pregnancy test the day after the wedding. I couldn’t stop crying all day. With that and being so nauseous for the past week and a half, I had a feeling it would be positive. There’s been so much going on that I didn’t even realize I had missed a period. Sure enough, the test I took came back positive. I called and made an appointment first thing Monday morning.
We’re sitting in the waiting for twenty minutes when a nurse finally calls my name. We walk back together.
“Hi, Tinsley. I’m Cristina, Dr. Grey’s nurse.”
“Nice to meet you,” I reply. “This is Mila, my sister-in-law.”
Cristina goes through some basics, checking my weight and height, then takes us to a room. She goes through a series of questions about me and my health, then switches to the baby’s father.
“So, here’s where it gets tricky,” I start. “I’m exclusive with two men. The three of us are in a relationship together.”
“Okay, nothing wrong with that. I’ll make a note for Dr. Grey.” Cristina smiles. After a few more questions, she lets us know the doctor will be in shortly.
Five minutes later, Cristina comes back with Dr. Grey.
“Hello, Tinsley. I’m Dr. Alex Grey. How are you today?”
“I’m good, thank you.”
“Well, we have some good news for you. Your test came back positive. Congratulations, mama-to-be,” she tells me.
Mila squeals beside me and I smile so big my cheeks ache.
“What do you say we get a look and see how far along you are?”
“I’d like that,” I say.
Cristina rolls in an ultrasound machine and I lay back on the exam table, lifting my shirt so they can have access to my stomach.
“Do you mind folding the waistband of your leggings down a little, please,” she asks. I do as she asks. She places a paper towel at the waistband and holds up a bottle of gel. “This might be a little cold.”
She squirts the gel on and a chill goes through me. Dr. Grey hits a few buttons and rubs the wand across my belly.
“Here we go,” she says.
When the appointment is over, we leave with some sonogram pictures and a couple of videos Mila took, including one of the heartbeat. Diesel sent us a text during the appointment letting us know they were headed to the clubhouse so Krissy could meet everyone, so that’s where we go next. After we grab a bite to eat, that is.
We pull up to the clubhouse. The damage from Saturday is still noticeable. I park in the designated parking for cars and we climb out.
“This place is beautiful,” Mila gushes.
“I’ll have to take you to stargaze one night. Diesel showed me the best place for it,” I tell her.
“That would be awesome!” She wraps an arm around my shoulders. “Are you ready for this?”
I take a deep breath. “Get your camera ready. Let’s do this.”
We walk into the clubhouse. The main room is pretty full. I think this is a good time for our announcement. The whole club could use a little sunshine after the thunderstorm that we just went through.
“Hey, Pixie.” Diesel walks over to me and kisses my forehead.
“Hollywood, come over here. I have something for both of you,” I tell them.
“What’s up?”
I hand them an envelope. “You need to open this together.”
I take a small step back so I’m by Mila’s side. She grabs my hand and we wait for them to open it. Diesel pulls out the sonogram pictures, handing one to Hollywood. They both stare hard at them, studying them. Simultaneously, they look at me.
“Is this for real,” Hollywood asks.
“Two?” Diesel says.
I nod my head.
“Surprise,” Mila shouts.
“What’s going on,” Minx asks.
“She’s pregnant.” The smile on Diesel’s face stretches from ear to ear.
“With twins!” Hollywood laughs. The room erupts into cheers and Hollywood and Diesel pull me into a group hug. The door opens behind us and the room goes silent. I turn to see who it is.
My heart skips a beat. “Mom?”
“Hey, baby!” She takes a few steps toward me and hugs me.
“Mandy?” Ratchet says.
My mom lets go of me and glances over my shoulder. “Robbie?”
“You two know each other,” I ask her.
“Yeah,” she hesitates. “He’s your father.”
“What?” Ratchet and I shout at the same time.
“We have a lot to catch up on.” Her eyes go from mine to his and back.
“As if this week couldn’t get any crazier,” Diesel mutters.
A couple of hours later, my mom has caught Ratchet and I up on everything she’s neglected to tell us my whole life. She was able to meet Diesel and Hollywood and learned we’re all three together. And expecting twins. Then she was able to meet Krissy and Mila. Luckily, everyone is getting along great.
I had to tell her about Andy, which was hard since it happened almost two months ago. Mom said she had been traveling with a couple of girlfriends and lost her phone and didn’t even realize it until two weeks later. She had to get a new phone and a new number and has been so busy at work, trying to save up to come visit, she forgot to call. Sadly, that’s typical behavior for her. She feels awful about it, but we can’t go back and change anything. All we can do now is move forward.
It’s been a wild ride getting to where we are now, but I wouldn’t change anything about it. I have two men who I love and love me back. I have two babies growing in my belly. And a huge family that loves and supports us unconditionally. I know I can handle anything with Hollywood and Diesel by my side.
The end . . . For now.
