Of course, there’s also my mama, who is an integral part of every book I write. She takes care of me when I’m on deadline, supports all my wacky ideas, and makes the most yummy writing snacks ever! She is a delightful part of my life, and I’m thankful for her every single day.
Then there’s my Ro, who is the best agent on the planet. But more importantly, she is a dear friend and an exceptional human being. It’s truly a blessing to know her.
And my lovely editor, Mel, who sprinkles magical story dust on every book she touches and makes them so much better. I suppose it would be possible to write stories without her, but I wouldn’t want to.
My dear CPs Kerry Kletter and Jeff Zentner are not only brilliant, but they’re generous. More than once I’ve asked them to read something for me in a pinch, and they always show up. I could not be more grateful to have these two by my side.
Kali Wallace and Audrey Coulthurst are my go-tos for hashing out ideas, sympathizing with writing woes, and, when all else fails, crafting truly delicious cocktails. Ravenclaw forever.
And Anya Remizova, who is always there for me and listens to me talk endlessly about writing, even the inane parts. She’s a true friend, and I’m honored to know her.
The entire team at Random House is a big piece of wonderful. They bring so much joy to my world and make it possible for me to do what I love most—tell stories.
Clementine Gaisman, who has me smiling every time she pops into my inbox.
And Jason Dravis, who takes my books and casts them on new adventures.
On top of all these awesome people, I also have the most beautiful and supportive family, filled with truly eccentric loves who provide me with inspiration and, in the case of my uncle Rob, even some super-helpful sneaky strategies.
And I have the biggest-hearted readers in my FAMB group, who brighten my days with their enthusiasm for books and all their kindness.
A huge thank-you to everyone here who has contributed so much. My books wouldn’t be what they are without you, and neither would I.
