“What is it?”
He runs a hand down his face and says, “I forgot to tell my parents I met and claimed my fated mate.”
“What does that have to do with anything?”
“They gave me until my 100th birthday to find you and if I didn’t then they’d throw me a mating ball. Everyone with a number is a potential suitor. Honey, I’m so sorry. I’ll go clear this up right now.”
He goes to leave but I grab his arm. “Don’t worry about it. Let’s just have fun.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes. None of these suitors will ever win your affection because I already have it. There’s no need for me to worry. Let’s go dance.”
Gripping his hand, I lead him out onto the dancefloor and wrap my arms around him. He looks stunning in the tuxedo he has on and I can’t wait to strip it off him later. We dance together for what seems like hours though it isn’t without interruptions. A number of potential suitors have tried to cut in and as the night progresses and more and more come forward, my pterodactyl becomes edgier and edgier as it perceives each new suitor as a threat to our mating.
Suddenly, the crowd parts as a beautiful man and woman make their way over to us. The woman has beautiful ocean blue hair and is wearing a sparkling sapphire gown. The man has seafoam green hair and is wearing a dark tux with a sapphire blue tie. When they reach us, Finn bows briefly then stands straight and says, “Mother, father, it’s nice to see you again.”
They each give him a kiss on the cheek and say, “We hope you’re enjoying the party.”
“I am.”
His mother grins and says, “But why aren’t you dancing with any of your potential suitors? We only invited those we thought would be a good match for you.”
Finn clears his throat and says, “About that mother, there’s someone I’d like you to meet.”
He puts an arm around my shoulders and says, “This is Zephyr, my fated mate.”
His mother turns to me and says, “It is a pleasure to meet you Zephyr. Finn darling, why didn’t you tell us?”
“It uh, slipped my mind. I’d completely forgotten about the party until a messenger arrived with a tux for me this morning.”
“You need to keep better track of your appointments darling.”
A wave of nausea hits me, and my vision begins to swim. I hear Finn’s father saying something that sounds like, “Your mate doesn’t look so good there, son.” Moments before my world goes black.
When I wake up, I’m in an unfamiliar bedroom with Finn hovering beside the bed. “Blue?”
He looks down at me and smiles, “Hey you. You’re finally awake.”
“What happened?”
“You fainted in the ballroom. I had someone bring you here while the doctor was fetched.”
“And? Am I going to be okay? Is something wrong with me?”
“No honey. Nothing is wrong with you. The doctor said the seaweed tea cakes you had at the party didn’t agree with you in your um condition.”
Panic sets in and I start to freak out. “Condition? What condition? You said I was fine!”
Finn sits beside me on the bed and pulls me into his arms. “Shh honey. You are fine. I’m just not sure how to tell you this.”
My voice has reached shrieking levels at this point. “Tell me what?!”
I feel his breath tickle my ear when he whispers, “You’re pregnant.”
“Your fucking crazy. There’s no way. I’m not an omega, or a god. It just isn’t possible.”
“Apparently, it is. There’s this kelpie myth about royal bloodlines and male mates. I always thought it was just a story but looks like there’s some truth to it after all.”
“This can’t be happening.”
Curling up, I hug my knees to my chest. Finn looks hurt when he says, “I thought you’d be happy.”
“Of course not!” Suddenly, tears are streaming down my face and I bury my nose into his neck. “I wanted you all to myself for at least a few more years before we even thought about kids. It’s not fair.”
“Oh honey. I’m sorry but look on the bright side, we have at least a year to spend with each other before the baby comes.”
“A year?! I’m going to be pregnant that long?! THAT’S EVEN WORSE!!!”
Finn bites his lip to keep from laughing but it doesn’t work.
Glaring at him, I try to make it look menacing despite trying not to smile. “Go ahead, laugh. As soon as we get home, I’m calling Ethan and making him give you a womb next so when you have to be pregnant for a year, we’ll see who’s laughing then.”
His expression turns soft as he strokes my cheek. “So, does that mean you want this?”
“I can’t say I’m entirely happy about it, but I wouldn’t change it.”
“We’ll get through this together.”
I give him my best hopeful puppy dog expression and say, “Promise?”
He grins and kisses my forehead. “I promise.”
I hope you enjoyed Zephyr’s story! I know I enjoyed writing it.
Keep an eye out for Triton’s book, The Driver hopefully coming to you in 2019.

Book two of the Submission Trilogy, titled
The Wolf’s Hybrid Dom
The Wolf’s Hybrid Dom
Prologue
I can still hear the screaming as if it only happened yesterday. It’s been nearly a hundred years, but it still feels so recent. The wound left in my heart is still just as raw. You’d think I’d have moved on by now but for some reason I can’t. Maybe I’m still living in the past but it’s so hard to let go. I lost everything I’ve ever held dear. After spending years in and out of the military, I decided to try settling down. While I’ll never regret the time, I spent with my wife and son, I’ll forever feel remorse over not being able to save them.
Ever since I lost them, I haven’t let anyone else get close to me. Becoming an established Dom in the BDSM scene has helped me keep everyone at arms-length. Every time I take a sub, I make sure my rules are firmly laid out before we agree to anything. It’s kept my heart safe for years, but now, I find myself searching for something more than what I’ve been doing. Maybe I’m finally ready to move on, maybe not. Only time will tell.
Thanks to my friend Aithusa offering me the opportunity to train his mate’s brother as a Dom, I finally have the push I needed to start over. Well, to try to at least. Over the years, I’ve found that I do enjoy the lifestyle and my hope is that when I finally find a way to move on, that I’ll still be able to live as a Dom. As it stands, I’m unsure of what I’ll find in Mt. Rainier but hopefully, it’ll be a good thing. Maybe a fresh start is all I need to let go of the past. We’ll find out soon enough.

I want to thank my parents for supporting me no matter what I do and tolerating me when I get in the zone of writing and ignore them completely. By tolerating, I’m really saying thanks for putting up with my shit. You have no idea how much that means to me. I love you guys. I want to thank Lisa Oliver, one of my favorite authors for encouraging me to write the story speaking in my head instead of forcing myself to stick to a different stereotype and for being an amazing friend I can bounce crazy ideas off of. I want to thank Jemma Brown for designing such amazing covers for me.
I thank the readers for taking the time to read a story from an unknown author like me. I want to thank my characters for coming to me in my hour of extreme boredom when I was at a loss as to what to write/do next. Last, of all I want to thank all the musicians out there for playing
their music and inspiring me.
Well Ezra isn’t my real name obviously, but I liked the name, so I decided to use it. I live at home with my five dogs and one cat. I started out writing hetero romance novels, but it wasn’t where my heart lied. I adore all things paranormal and M/M is by far my favorite genre, so I decided to start writing Paranormal Romances. There’s a guaranteed happy ending with each of my books even if it may take some time for my guys to get there. I love each and every character on the page as if they were my own children.
It sounds weird but that’s how I feel about them. I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember but only started actively pursuing it as a career three years ago. Since I published my first book in 2014 I have written and released multiple books with many more to come. My current list of projects is longer than my arm, so I look forward to writing and creating new stories for my readers to enjoy.
