Eve x
~Review Here~
I wrote the short story Book Covers & Coffee for a New Years Eve anthology. 19,800 words and as my second anthology piece, I intended it would be a short story only. However, I did that dreaded thing us authors sometimes do…I left it on a cliffhanger. I didn’t expect it when it started but when Aiden changed his champagne flute for a whisky glass at the gala and I got a glimpse of who Aiden really was - I knew there was more to that short story.
Jemma was easy to write as I can relate 100% to Jemma. Aiden was not easy to write because Aiden has secrets that he didn’t want to share with me. He’s also a crass, arrogant arsehole and it took me a moment to warm to him. I understand that there will be many of you who don’t warm to him and I’m okay with that.
So this book was a bit different for me to write. Because of that, I would like to thank the following for helping me with this book; my cover designer, my beta readers, my ARC team, and of course my readers. Thank you all for your support, your enthusiasm and for your encouragement.
A special thanks to Helayna who polishes my paragraphs to shiny perfection. I love our little comment wars during editing. I’ve never been in a position before where I barter for words, our conversations are like you can have ‘desk’ and I’ll keep ‘chop chop.’ So much fun (I’m being serious).
To my special other half, as always, I can’t do it without you. Even when my head is constantly in my phone or on the laptop and I go from day job to this job (sometimes without moving seat or looking up), your constant love and support means everything. Thank you for always believing in me.
Arielle Miller has had a bad year, she’s lost more than any 18 year old should. Now she’s starting over, new state, new city, new life. She’s attending college, getting her degree and maybe, just maybe, starting to heal.
He wasn’t supposed to be here. He wasn’t meant for her.
Colton Dawson shouldn’t look at her the way he does, shouldn’t make her feel the way he does and yet he’s holding back, keeping her at a distance.
Can she cope with being so near to Colton, but not being with him, or will this time mean losing everything……….losing him?

You've read Indian Summer from Ari's POV - now delve into Cole's mind. What was he thinking when he first saw her on campus? How did he feel when he realised Ari had left Big Sky? Read how he deals with the fighting in the Warehouse.
Your favourite scenes from Indian Summer rediscovered... are you ready to hear Cole's side of the story?
**Please note that this is a novella from Cole's POV based on the story in Indian Summer - it is strongly advised that this book is read AFTER Indian Summer and not as a standalone.**

My name is Aaron Jonson. I don’t have the time or the patience for most things. I’m not a nice guy.
There are few things in life I care about, my family, well…not all of them…and making money. I’m a simple man with simple pleasures. I work hard and I play harder, cliché? Probably.
I like routine. I like things to be controlled. More importantly, I like to be the one in control.
Lela Morgan is going to be a huge problem for me. I am not a babysitter. The minute I saw her in the airport, I knew she was going to be trouble.
Now she’s in my house. She’s at my work. She’s in my head.
She’s testing my limits. She’s pushing my control. She’s not going to beat me.
I play hard and I will win…because as I said, I’m really not a nice guy.

I’m a player. A ladie’s man. That’s what my friend Ari calls me. Has always called me. I’m ok with that. It’s not only who I am.
My two best friends help make me who I am.
With a bond closer than brothers. Recently, our bond has been tested. I’m trying to move past it.
There are unspoken truths and secrets. Dangerous secrets.
And Hope Walker? Have I ever met a more frustrating woman? I know I can’t have her. I know I shouldn’t want her, she’s really not my type. She’s made it perfectly clear, I’m not her type.
When did my life become such a mess? I need more time, but time is running out.
Is our bond about to break?

She left in the middle of the afternoon, leaving me and our son behind. For all I knew, she didn’t look back. For all I knew, she hadn’t given our son another thought.
She left him.
It’s been five weeks since Lela walked out of our lives. Five weeks and I don’t know where she is.
But I’m looking.
I’m searching for her. The unknown is killing me. What if she’s hurt? What if she needs help?
But… more importantly, what if she is okay? What if she is fine?
I will find her, and if Lela is okay? I will make her sorry she ever thought she could leave him.
I told her a long time ago, I don’t lose. I’ve never been a nice guy.
I will find her and this time, she won’t walk away.
She will run.
