What a privilege it was to be the heart of her family.
What an extraordinary honor to know that she was the one who had brought them all together, that she was the one who was holding them here.
And it wasn’t just her alphas—although she had certainly been overwhelmed enough at the realization that she had the strength and the allure to compel them to overcome the animosity they had for one another. No, her power was much bigger than that.
She had brought whole packs together.
She had united the Moose Jaw and the Vancouver packs—two groups who had never had any intention of working together. And in the wake of that, she had joined them together with her family of origin, the Arctic Wolves.
She had united the north and the south.
She knew that, if she had predicted this outcome, no one on either side would have believed it could be possible.
But that was the power of an omega. It was the power her mother had passed along to her. And it was the power that she would pass along to her daughter.
She’ll grow up knowing her strength, Lily vowed to herself. I’ll never let her think that she’s weak, or that the world isn’t a safe place for her. I’ll make sure she knows that whatever she wants, she has the power within her to make it so.
Gazing down at the baby’s perfect, tiny face, she leaned into the embrace of her three alphas. She closed her eyes and allowed the sounds of revelry from the campfire to wash over her.
She had never been so happy in her life.
