Bolt (Iron Thunder MC Book 1)

I hadn’t told any of them that she’d already snuck in a meeting with Chip the previous night. That would definitely not have gone down well with them. They wouldn’t be as forgiving of her as I was.
“She’s seen the light. She gets that her brother did something stupid. She knows the kind of trouble he caused us.”
Flash sniggered like it was all a hoax. I tried to ignore it even though it pissed me off. Drax grunted as he ate.
We already had a quick meeting the previous night after the raid. After we’d managed to sell our shipment off to the buyers. Our mission was successful, but the Club was still on high alert. It was very likely that the Silver Knights would try and strike us again soon.
The prospects were out on the streets, trying to gather intel on it.
I glanced at Spike and turned to Drax again.
“In fact, there was something about Cassie I wanted to discuss with you.”
“Cassie? Who the fuck is Cassie?” Drax asked, wiping his mouth with a tissue.
“The girl,” Flash supplied, and Drax looked at me questioningly.
“She is…I trust her,” I began, but I didn’t know what to say exactly.
“Really?” Flash asked, and I ignored him again.
“Okay, that’s good to know,” Drax said, ignoring him too.
“I claimed her as mine,” I said. It took some effort to get the words out, but I did it. It was the first time I’d claimed any woman officially and I could see it stunned them. Drax, Flash and Spike all stared at me like I was speaking in a foreign tongue.
“What’s up?” Ghost limped over to us in a good mood.
“He’s fucking that chick,” Spike said.
“Which chick? Chip’s sister?” Ghost stared at me.
“I’m not just fucking her. I’ve claimed her as my woman. I want you guys to accept her into the Club.” I turned to Drax again to see his reaction.
He’d forgotten about his food and shook his head slowly.
“Chip betrayed us,” he growled.
“I know.”
“She was going to rat on us to the cops!” Flash retorted.
“Yes, I know that too. But that was before we…got together. She sees things differently now,” I said.
Flash opened his mouth. He was about to say something but Drax held up a hand to silence him.
“Bring her over here, I want to speak to her,” he said.
I looked in her direction. She was standing next to Sophie but staring at us. I could see the nervousness in her eyes. I didn’t have to say or do anything, and Cassie knew she was to come over.
Meekly, she walked to us. All of us were watching her closely.
“Your name is Cassie?” Drax asked.
“Yes,” she said, standing before us. She was doing her best to keep her head up, to stare us down. I was actually proud of her.
“And you agree to be with Bolt?” he continued.
Cassie looked at me and nodded.
“I want to be with him. It’s a mutual decision,” she replied.
That made Drax grin.
“You realize what your brother’s done?” Flash snapped.
“Yes, and I’m embarrassed of him. I was trying to be protective of him at first, but that was before I even knew what he actually did. I’m ashamed he betrayed you. That he was disloyal. I wish I could do something to reverse his actions, but I can’t.”
Drax was listening to her intently. I knew he was trying to assess her as she spoke.
“How are we supposed to trust you? We don’t know you,” Ghost stated.
Cassie gulped. She glanced at me again and I nodded. This was awesome, I didn’t have to do much. She was brave enough to do all the talking.
“No, you don’t know me, and I don’t know any of you either. But I have gotten to know Bolt, and I trust him. Maybe you guys can trust him too.”
Ghost looked at Flash. Spike looked at me and smiled. Drax didn’t take his eyes off Cassie.
“You make sense,” he said. He turned to me finally. “You vouch for her?” he asked.
“I vouch for her.”
“Then welcome to the Club, Cassie. You will have our protection as long as you follow our rules and remain loyal to Bolt and our MC.”
She was smiling now and came toward me. I took her in my arms and turned to Flash. He didn’t look as angry now as he did a few minutes ago.
“You willing to give her a chance?” I asked. Flash looked at me and then at Cassie.
“Yes, for your sake. Welcome to the Club, Cassie,” he said. I knew he would have my back and Cassie’s.
She squeezed my hand in secret and I knew she was feeling just as relieved as I was.
Now that the Club accepted her and Drax promised Cassie our protection, I knew I could take her away from the Clubhouse for a while. I wanted to show her what a normal life for the two of us would look like. When we weren’t in the middle of a crisis situation.
We left the Clubhouse together and she got on my bike. This time, neither of us hesitated in perching ourselves close together. She clung to me tightly and I could feel her shape molded with mine. Her breath fell hotly on the back of my head. I knew she was smiling even though I wasn’t looking at her.
I rode us over to the Club’s business office.
Cassie got off the bike, looking at the door. The office was on the edge of town, in the middle of a small business center.
“What are we doing here?” she asked, confused.
“This is where we conduct our security services business from. I wanted you to see the legitimate side of Iron Thunder,” I replied.
She seemed excited and we walked in.
There were two guys in the office today—Max and Luca. They stood up the moment they saw me enter.
“Morning, Bolt,” Max said. He gave up his seat so I could take the chair at the main desk.
“Morning guys. Go get a coffee for yourselves. We’re good here for a few minutes,” I said.
Cassie smiled at the guys as they left the office. Then she came over to me. I opened up the files and ledgers on the desk.
“Wow. This place looks like a regular office. I mean, those guys are in work shirts and dress pants!” She was laughing. “Are they even really members of the MC?”
I smiled as I glanced through the logs. “Yes, they very much are. They drew the short straws this month for manning the office. Next month, it’ll be two different guys from the MC. We keep this office running like any regular business service.”
“And you offer security?”
“Yeah, protection services. Like bodyguards and bouncers. We have a team of trained men who do it on contracts.”
Cassie sat in the chair across from me. I was going to need a few more minutes to look through the numbers and make sure everything was in order. She was silent during that time. When I closed the files, she spoke again.
“I am so happy the Club has accepted me, despite all that stuff with Chip.”
“You gave them a logical explanation. I trust you and they trust me.”
Cassie nodded.
“Yes, and I can’t wait for us to start building a relationship…”
“But?” I asked. I felt like something was coming.
“But I can’t help but feel anxious about this lifestyle. I know I shouldn’t. I trust you completely to keep me safe, but it’s just that…I’ve never lived a life surrounded by this kind of violence.”
I took in a deep breath. Maybe it would’ve been easier to tell her to walk away now. To take the safer route and stay away from me. But I wasn’t willing to give up this easily.
“It isn’t always this chaotic. Most days, it’s just us running this business, training guys, riding our bikes and chilling at the Clubhouse.”
“What about the shipment of weapons? Isn’t that something you always have to worry about?”
“It isn’t something we worry about, no. It’s risky business and it involves some muscle power and knowing the
right contacts, but it’s a source of money for us and a way to keep our territory safe.”
Cassie sighed and looked away.
“I’m not trying to tell you how to lead your life.”
“This is something you will have to accept as a way of your life too. It’s the only way we can make this work,” I said.
Cassie looked at me. She blinked a few times like she was thinking, then she stood up and came toward me. I was in the chair and she stood behind me, throwing her arms around my neck and kissing the side of my head.
“I am willing to accept whatever way of life you have to offer if it means I get to spend it with you.”
I swiveled around in my chair and pulled her to me.
“And what about your brother? When are you going to break the news to him?”
“He was a part of your Club, he wanted to be a part of it. I’m sure he’ll understand the appeal. Besides, I’m an adult. He was the one who committed the crime. He will eventually come around. He will have to.”
She kissed my lips, perching herself on my lap, and I moved my hands up the shirt she was wearing—one of mine since I’d ruined her blouse from yesterday.
“What else about your life can you show me?” she asked, gently pulling away from me.
“Do you want to see where I live? When I’m not at the Clubhouse.”
Cassie’s eyes brightened, her cheeks flushed.
“Yes! Most definitely, yes. I want to see the side of Justin Daniels that he hides away in the privacy of his own apartment.”
I stood up and we walked out of the office hand-in-hand. Max and Luca met us at the door and I briefly discussed the sales and business meetings with them before we left.
She was sitting behind me on the bike again. It was starting to feel like the most natural thing in the world. Having her this close to me all the time.
I always thought I would tire of a woman hanging around me constantly, but Cassie was no burden. She was the missing piece from my life and now I felt complete. There was nothing else I could possibly want.
Cassie was in my apartment and I realized I hadn’t been in here in days. Thankfully, the girl I’d woken up next to that morning hadn’t left any trace of her around the place.
Cassie was looking around full of curiosity.
“I can tell from one glance that a man lives here,” she said, smiling as she followed me around. I was picking up empty beer cans off the floor and clearing up forgotten plates around the apartment.
“What do you mean?”
“I mean, you could get cushions for that couch, you know? And maybe a few coasters for your poor coffee table would come in handy.”
“I don’t have time to think about those things,” I said. She followed me to the kitchen sink and when I’d put the stuff down, she came into my arms.
“And you don’t have to. I’ll be happy to help around here if you want me to.”
I kissed her mouth and she pushed her hips into mine. “Of course, I want you to. I don’t want you leaving my sight for a second.”
That made her laugh. “And what about my cafe? I still have a business to run.”
“I’m not going to stand in the way of your business,” I replied.
We were kissing again.
“I like it here,” she added when we came up for air. “I could get used to this.”
“Good, because I expect you to be beside me when I wake up every morning.”
She threw her head back as she laughed. Her shining golden hair shook and it stirred my loins. No other woman was able to make me feel like this all the time. Like I would go crazy if I couldn’t have her.
I jerked her back straight so I could look into her eyes. When I kissed her again, I pushed my tongue roughly between her lips. She opened me wide, welcoming me in. From the guttural moan that escaped her mouth, I knew she wanted the same thing I did.
I whipped her around, pinning her to the kitchen counter. She gasped and arched her back, gripping the edge of the counter as I started undoing her shirt buttons. They were so loose on her and slipped off her shoulders easily.
I tugged at her bra straps with my teeth. My hands were on her big bubble butt. So scrumptious in my hands. Her jeans were tight, clinging to her body’s shape sexily. I undid it and started peeling it down her legs.
She pushed up against me so she could feel my growing cock. Within seconds I was hard and throbbing for her.
My hands moved up her body, kneading and pressing her breasts, feeling the soft rolls of her belly. She moved against me. So precious and fragile. I wanted to own her again.
She leaned back, resting her head on my shoulder so she could look up at my face. I pushed my hand into her panties. Her clit was warm and swollen, just the way I liked it. Proof that she was just as ready for me as I was for her.
Her mouth was parted, her eyes were glazed. She needed me.
I rubbed her, pushed my fingers into her and Cassie moaned.
“I don’t want you to stop doing this. Ever. All the time,” she whispered. I felt the sticky wetness between her legs. I nibbled on her ear as I thrust my fingers harder into her. In and out. She was mine. All mine. Nobody could take her away from me now.
“Bolt, please…I want you inside me,” she said. She was on the edge of her orgasm, but I wanted more. I wanted to come inside her.
I jerked her around to face me and lifted her up. With one swift motion, she was sitting on the kitchen counter with her legs splayed apart. I tugged at her panties till they came off. She thrust her breasts out, tempting me. I unhooked her bra and took her breasts in my hand. Her nipple was in my mouth. One erect, perfectly sweet nipple. I sucked it. Licked it. She moaned even louder and then I pulled out my cock.
“Bolt…please…” she was begging and that was it. I needed to be inside her.
I held her by her hips, positioned firmly on the counter, and I pushed my cock into her pussy. Moist and soft. Tight and sweet. This pussy belonged to me. No other man was ever going to possess it. Possess her. I was in love with Cassie.
I pounded her pussy, making her moan and shake, till she came with a laughing explosion of release. I emptied myself inside her too. Our bodies were damp with sweat, moving and sliding together till we were both spent.
I could see my cum sticking to the insides of her thighs when I pulled my big cock out of her dainty little pussy. Cassie was breathless but happy.
“Bolt,” she said my name firmly, grabbing my wrist as I made to step away from her. I waited for her to continue. She was looking keenly into my eyes. “I think I’m in love with you,” she said.
I reached for her silky golden hair, tucked some of it behind her ear and then kissed her deliciously soft cheek.
“I love you,” I said. Her eyes became radiant and she bit down on her lip.
“I didn’t know if you were capable of saying those words.”
“I didn’t either. I guess I’m a changed man now,” I replied. She was smiling, excited, happy. Exactly the way I always wanted to see her.
“Now that we’re in the kitchen already, why don’t I make us something to eat? Grilled cheese?”
Perks of having a woman around!
“You read my mind, woman,” I said and pulled up my pants. Cassie jumped off the counter and started putting on her clothes, but I stopped her.
“What do you think you’re doing? One of the new rules of this apartment is that you have to be naked at all times,” I said.
Cassie rolled her eyes but was still smiling. Then she shrugged.
“Fine by me. Good luck getting anything done around here,” she replied.

Cassie
Three weeks later
I couldn’t have hoped for a more magical two weeks.
I didn’t think it would come this naturally to me—being in a relationship with a man I connected with this easily. Especially not with a man I wouldn’t have dreamed of being with before. A man who would have frightened me.
/>
Now that I was getting to know Bolt better every day, it became apparent to me he was gentle. He had the capacity to be gentle when he was with me. He was firm and upheld his rules, he was always going to be loyal to his MC, but I would always come first.
I loved feeling protected by him. I loved knowing that I would always wake up with Bolt beside me. That no matter where he went, he would always come home to me.
I went to the cafe as usual every morning and ran my business while Bolt went to the Clubhouse and took care of the MC business and his duties. I usually joined him there in the evenings and was beginning to get to know the others in the Club too.
Chip had been released from the Black room. He had begged for his membership back, said he would do anything to be patched into the Club again but Bolt held firm. No preferential treatment just because he was my brother.
At least they didn’t punish him more harshly. I told him he should be grateful to them for that.
Bolt told me they were going to keep a close eye on him and make sure he didn’t associate himself with any other MC either.
He had a long road ahead if he wanted to repair his relationship with them and me.
I wasn’t living in the family house anymore. I spent most of my time at Bolt’s apartment and stayed over at my apartment above the cafe on nights I couldn’t get away. So I wasn’t seeing much of Chip these days. When he tried to get in touch, we spoke briefly on the phone.
He said he missed me. He wanted to bake some cookies for me. He said he wanted his sister back. I told him he needed to get professional help. I was willing to help him with that. Organize a shrink for him and drive him there if he wanted. He needed to deal with the roadblocks he was facing because of our parents’ death. Once he was able to overcome that, only then would we be able to repair our own relationship.
Chip retreated within himself again, stopped calling when he realized I wasn’t going to give in or use my influence with Bolt to get him a place in the MC again.
I spoke to Bolt about it. I knew I could talk to him about anything, as long as we were being completely honest with each other. I told him I was worrying about Chip again.
