My Fake Husband Page 4

by Matilda Martel

“Really? You think we’ll be good parents? You think we’ll be okay? Things like this can ruin marriages and we’re already on shaky ground.” I wasn’t typically so desperate for approval, but this was all new territory for me. I didn’t want to be such a young mother, but if I was pregnant with my husband’s baby, then I was pregnant. Besides, I really loved him and the thought I might be carrying a baby James made me feel all warm inside. Scared, but warm.

“We’ll be splendid, my love. You’ll be wonderful. And we’re not on shaky ground—you just need to start behaving yourself.” He hugged me tightly and growled into my ear.

“Me? I can’t believe you spanked a pregnant woman. You should be ashamed of yourself.” I was about to laugh when he squeezed my ass.

“I have no shame whatsoever and I’ll be giving this ass another spanking when we get back to the hotel. You know you have it coming.” The look of surprise on my face quickly changed into a perverted grin.

I nodded shamefully. “I do. I’ve behaved terribly. But you know I love you, don’t you?”

“We’ll just have to see how much you love me, Lucy. Won’t we?”

Rushing back to the hotel after dinner, I got more than my fair share of belated birthday spanks before we got so turned on, we re-enacted our honeymoon and I pretended to surrender all three virginities to him again. He enjoyed that immensely and has placed that on a regular rotation for us. The following night we role-played getting pregnant which got way more perverted that I would have imagined. And for the rest of our time in the City of Lights, we just went sightseeing and made love anyway we liked.

When we returned to Brooklyn, I discovered that yes, I was incredibly pregnant- 5 weeks by then and James truly was over the moon. My enthusiasm took a bit longer, but I did come to terms the first time I heard my Emma’s heartbeat. Born shortly after our first anniversary, she looks just like her Daddy, and she has him wrapped around her little finger. Unlike me, her eyelash and pout routine works wonders on him.

Although he offered to take me earlier, we returned to Paris for our 2nd anniversary, just before Emma turned 1 and had even more fun that we did the first time we were there. Something about that city brings out the animal in James or maybe it’s me, or both of us—but in between being tied and spanked, I somehow managed to get pregnant with our son Noah.

As for James and I, all is well that ends well and we are very well and exceedingly happy. Of course, I still give him a hard time, but as I said—it’s all part of the dance. And deep down, I know he loves it. He loves having an excuse to punish me.

  The End

  Follow Me

Writer, wife, dachshund lover, Francophile, history buff, sci-fi junkie- I write steamy romance for nerdy girls-- because that's who I am.

A quick glance at my catalog and you'll find I do not devote myself to any one specific type of romance sub-genre: I like historical, sci-fi, humorous, and just plain romantic.

But no matter what kind of story it is, my smart and funny heroines are always adored and my endings are always happy.

Please head to my blog to learn what's in the final stages and will be coming out soon! I welcome feedback and I welcome suggestions, questions, and ideas.

  Marriage of Convenience

Miranda Barnes is beautiful, young and rich, but she stands to lose her very large inheritance if she doesn't marry the spoiled, libertine son of her father's closest business partner, the obnoxious, womanizer Oliver Renaud.

Both unhappy with being forced together, Oliver keeps making things worse and Miranda keeps getting revenge--two people couldn't be more poorly suited for one another.

On their own in London, they are content to have an open marriage, until they discover they're in love for the first time in their lives--just not with each other!

  The Good Girl

Silas Mitchell wants a family. Tired of his womanizing ways that have left him alone at 37, he wants to find a good girl, someone to settle down with and make an honest man out of him.

Kitty Evans is not a good girl. Weeks from her 19th birthday, she finds herself in the center of a seedy love triangle that could scandalize her megachurch pastor father’s reputation if she doesn’t marry one of the gentlemen in question. But Kitty is not the marrying kind. A quick call to her favorite grandmother and she’s whisked off to Austin to start a new life.

Although Kitty swears off men, temporarily, sparks fly when she meets the older Silas Mitchell at a local church. Silas is on the prowl for his good girl and he’s never met anyone prettier and sexier than Miss Kitty Evans. He knows she’s an inappropriate choice, too young to settle down and start a family, but he’s hooked.

When he gets past her perfect exterior, he learns more about the real Kitty--the smart, vulnerable girl behind the sexy veneer, and he falls head over heels. If only he can make her believe there truly is a good girl lurking somewhere inside her after all.

  The Pastor

Pastor Troy Donovan is only visiting for the summer. He’s leaving Texas for New Hampshire in six weeks and didn’t think he was in the market for a wife, especially one as young as 18-year-old Sadie Quinn. But ever since he first laid eyes on the pretty brunette, he hasn’t been able to think of anything else.

Wanting to get Sadie away from her cruel mother, Pastor Troy attempts to woo her, with an old-fashioned romance, culminating in their wedding before their departure, but his increasing lust, Sadie’s growing curiosity, a possible second suitor and her mother’s meddling make it almost impossible for him to do the right thing by his angelic Sadie.

If you like the premise of a sweet, old-fashioned type romance, but still like a steamy, sticky romance to spice things up, this is both! There is No cheating, a Guaranteed Happily Ever After- Not Even Premarital Sex! What? Well, Fantasies don’t count! Enjoy!
