She couldn't help but stare at him and he couldn't help but stare back at her.
After all they were both bare and she had a feeling that this was one of the primary motivations for leading her here. Not that she was complaining of course, but she wanted to take a bit of time to simply relax at first and it seemed that he had the same look on his face. He sits down in the pool, his spot was close to the shoreline and she made an effort to sit next to him but alas when she sat down she sank beneath the water due to her height. She was nowhere as tall as him and thus she had to lean on him, hanging onto his back with her arms reaching around and wrapping around his neck. He sighs and lets the back of his headrest against her forehead. She rubbed those black strands of hair on the back of his head against her forehead as she pulls him in a bit closer and kisses his cheek.
"What are you thinking about?" she asked in reference to the rather serious look that he was giving the fall right about now.
He grunts, "Nothing."
"You can tell me." She muttered into his ear.
"*sigh* Fine, I suppose there's no harm in you knowing." He muttered as he runs the tip of his finger through the surface of the water. He watches as the ripples begin to scatter, collapsing against their bodies as the cold mountain air clashed against the steam that was rising from the fall.
"It's my brother." He muttered.

CHAPTER SIXTEEN
She had known that their relationship was fraught but suddenly a deep worry consumed her heart as well as a yearning. If they were to go to battle then she would be more than happy to join Koigo in opposition to Gulvan.
But something told her that this wasn't the case. At least, it wasn't the primary reason for his concerned look.
"And it's about you." He sighed, "Because we are now mated that provides some...challenges that I foresaw and attempted to prepare for but that I feel will come regardless. And that there is no real way out of this arrangement because I will not let them have you, nor will I abandon you."
She was confused until she began to think of the implications behind who they were and what they were doing.
The history of their people was fraught with tension and she should know it best. After all she had tried to kill the man sitting in front of her for almost her entire adult life up until a month or two ago. She could only imagine how that would play with the general Rialan community here, they would likely lose themselves in the fervor and attempt to take off their heads as a result of it. Perhaps not his kingdom but his brother would surely attempt something.
Or, more aptly, now that Gulvan had a target, perhaps he would begin to go after her in an attempt to weaken Koigo' resolve.
She shook her head vehemently. She would not allow such a thing to happen. Her arms pull him in a bit closer and he holds her in place as she hummed into his ear. She runs her fingers along his muscular chest and his abdomen, the tips of her fingers run along the striations of his muscles as they tensed up and he growled lightly as a result of her movements.
"I don't care what the traditionalists have to say and I don't care if I'm going to be targeted. Hell, if you could change my mind why can't you change theirs?" she asked him.
He chuckled, "Are you suggesting that I mate with everyone?"
She giggles as he turns to kiss her, with a shake of her head she utters, "Not a chance."
He frowns, "But there is still a chance that you will be in danger, that there will be a war."
"Then we fight it together and take it as it comes." She states, "I refuse to be away from you just because of some bullshit tradition."
He sighed, she was as uncouth and as brash as ever but that was one of the things that he liked most about her. That biting honesty and determination were good traits to have in his mind and he was glad that she had accepted his concerns so readily.
She pulls him in for a kiss that he sinks into. She could feel the smooth base of his horn rub against her forehead as he presses her against the shoreline of the pool. His hands gripped her comparably dainty wrists and pin them to the ground as he begins to kiss her neck, eliciting a variety of moans from her. Her legs wrapped around his body as she pulls him in and grasps his body, her core shivers as she feels his tight muscles tense up, his green body glimmers in front of her and she watches eagerly as he spreads her legs. "Please." She repeats again, this time she wasn't even intending it but she went along regardless. At first, she was rather embarrassed to be presented in this manner in front of him but now she didn't care. He had made her feel comfortable in her own body and for that, she would no longer hold any insecurities in front of him at least.
He wraps his hands around her breasts and begins to massage them, rushing his fingers against her nipples and flicking them back and forth as she squirmed and began to utter low moans. He leans in and presses his mouth against her mounds, pulling on the flesh and gently biting her nipples, causing her to shriek in pleasure. She bites her lip in an attempt to silence herself but he waves away her concerns.
"No one is going to hear us up here." He reassures her.
She spreads her legs and waits eagerly for him to approach her crotch. His massive hands and his claws gently slide against her thighs as he spreads them even further. He was so much larger, so much stronger, so much more vicious than her and he could do whatever he wished to her body and that was the way that she liked it. She loved the way that he held her down, the way that he gripped her arms and legs and pinned them to the ground as he gorged himself on the pleasures that her body afforded him. He licks her thighs and the rough texture of his tongue elicits waves of shivering through her legs before he rested his lips on her mound.
And then on her clit.
"Ah!" she nearly screams, she wanted to lock her legs around his head but he had refused her by keeping them spread with his hands. She whimpers in frustration as he leans in once again and licks her folds, rubbing her thighs with his lips as he kisses a trail towards her pussy.
She whimpers and shuts her legs around his head, placing her thighs against his cheeks as she pulled him in and allowed his tongue to sink inside of her. Her walls begin to clench around his tongue as he sinks it further and further inside of her. She holds the back of his head, gripping his horns as her fingers danced around the tips as she felt him sink deeper and deeper inside of her. His lips gently rub against her clit, pressing and flicking it regularly as she felt her juices begin to drip out of her and onto the ground beneath her. Her hands cinch around the back of his head and pull him in further as his claws begin to gently move over her skin. Her knees buckle as she felt his tongue lash out and whip at her insides. Her eyes shut and she bites her lip as she begins to feel her orgasm approaching.
He could feel it as well, by the way she trembled and moaned for him he knew that her climax was coming and he was anticipating every bit of it.
He licks his lips as he sinks his tongue inside of her, the tip of it lashes against her walls and she gasps as she feels her body quiver in pleasure. His tongue continues to squirm inside of her with a mad passion as she tosses her head back and screams, her slick hair dances against her ears as she shuts her warm brown eyes and savors the moment. She had never felt this wonderful, she had never felt this enraptured by another being and yet here she was, trembling, quivering, allowing every bit of his power pleasure her into submission.
And that was just the way that she liked it.
She laid back, panting, he rises to his feet and stares at her, her legs were dipped into the water and an arm rested lazily over her face as she glanced him over, practically begging him to come forward and claim her as his. Her legs were spread and she was practically panting as he grabs her and leans in for another kiss that she grants him. She wraps her arms around his head as he lifts her and she lets out a squeak as a result of the sudden movement.
He lifts her towards a boulder that was near the fall. Despite her fears, it wasn't absolutely frigid when she touched it. She laid back on it, moa
ning as she lets the tip of his cock slip into her. It spreads her walls out and she begins to shiver in anticipation as the ridges on his member enter her. She was still quite sensitive as a result of what he had done to her earlier but she accepts it nonetheless.
Her gasp as he enters her is palpable. He felt something primal awaken within him and snarls as he pins her to the rock and slips deep inside of her. His golden eyes flash with arousal and she nearly screams as she feels him thrust into her. Her walls begin to clench around his shaft, the ridges on his member dash over her walls and she shivers with arousal as her hands begin to whip the rock. Her knuckles pound the ebony rock and those wet locks of black hair begin to whip at the side of his arms as they tensed up whilst gripping her wrists.
"Please, more, more! Please give me more!" she cries out as she feels her thighs clench up whilst he delves further and further into her womanhood.
The water lashes against his muscular green back as he finally slides all the way inside of her and feels himself give into the pleasure. She feels herself succumbing to her own climax as well and begins to feel the long ropes of seed gush against her walls. She clenched around him and gritted her teeth as she begins to feel his member twitch and feel her own body momentarily give out under the wave of pleasure that washed over her.
"Koigo!" she moaned out, calling his name loudly. To him, it was the loveliest sound that he had ever heard.
"Saradi." He growled out as he rested himself inside of her, pulling out and leaving a long trail of seed that followed the tip of his member. It dripped onto the floor in front of them and for a moment she felt quite self-conscious at the display and covered her face. It was only after his reassurance that he coaxed her out of her embarrassed state and into his arms.
"Do you think that he heard?" she asked him in concern, referencing Yaki.
The king only chuckled, "Of course not."

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
He had been waiting for this sort of talk.
Yaki sat in front of him, a vast ranch sat at the side of them, complete with cattle and a picturesque series of flowers that ran along the side of the fence. He watches the red sun dip below the horizon as Yaki stirred his drink a took a sip of it. Fermented grass juice, a favorite of the warrior class and a drink that they had often both enjoyed as they bonded.
"I understand your concerns." Was what Koigo offered his old friend. It was all that he could offer him really.
Yaki frowned as he surveyed the face of the young king. It was content he knew that much and it was a welcome change from the constant scowl that his friend had before meeting the girl. But what worried him was not the current state of his king but rather the repercussions that could surface as a result of this relationship. Particularly the factor of Gulvan that was looming over them at nearly every moment.
The bastard would lunge on any chance to invade and any excuse and this was exactly the kind of thing that would rile his soldiers up enough.
"What are you thinking?" asked Yaki.
Koigo shrugged, "I need heirs."
"You could just find another one."
Koigo glared at his guard, suddenly reminding the man of who was king and causing him to shiver, "You and I both know that that is impossible."
They were sitting on the porch of Yaki' home, his children were dancing in the fields beside them and his wife was with them, although she was giving them the occasional worried glance. It was clear to Koigo that his old friend had forged the perfect idyllic life for himself right outside the manor. His guard was a man that was paid just enough to afford the prosperity of his children and a bit extra to enjoy it, but as a result of that same prosperity Koigo knew that his guard was the sort of man that leaned heavily on tradition and mysticism. After all, adherence to the customs and his path in life had granted him this peace. Why would he ever betray that?
And that was the fact that Koigo was attempting to eke out of him. The knowledge that this tradition was not something that should be adhered to if it cost happiness.
And there was also the fact that his guard was concerned about the war.
"Nevertheless." Yaki began as he runs a finger over his kneecap, growling as he feels his claws brush against his skin, "I don't believe that you'll be able to outrun this forever. He probably already sicced many of his best spies onto you, there's no way that this sort of fate can be outran." Admitted the warrior.
Koigo nodded, "I know."
"And you're going to sacrifice everything for that?! You're entire kingdom?!" Yaki asked in a booming voice, Koigo only looked at him and narrowed his eyes.
"I am."
"How could you? How can you sit there and just admit that you're going to give this all up?! The joy of our people, my joy?! All for this one woman when there's millions of others that are out there!"
"But none of them are my mate. Are they? You know the math of it, it's impossible for me to find another Yaki." Stated the king, setting his cup down on the table while his friend practically stood over him.
"So...that's your choice then? I suppose I don't blame you for choosing a mate, but as far as your decision making goes I absolutely do not advocate for what you are doing or are attempting. I hope you realize that." Stated Yaki.
Koigo remains silent.
"I am your guard forever, but if I have to choose between you or the kingdom you know which one I will pick."
The two remain there, drinking their beverages and not uttering a word to one another as they watched the children play in the fields. Koigo began to ponder the costs and the overall necessity of what he was doing. How essential was it to his kingdom that she be his mate? Well, she would be the only one that would prove him an heir so that question was practically answered. What price would his kingdom have to pay as a result of it? He knew that the war would be grim but....he was hoping to avoid it if necessary.
He knew that it was finally time to strike from the shadows. To rid Limura of his brother and save the people here as a result of that action. To bring freedom and prosperity to them all.
This conflict was coming regardless so why should he still live in fear?
"My lord." Spoke Yaki' wife as she approached them with the two children pulling at her dress. Koigo shoots a look at Yaki and gets to his feet.
"Thank you for the drink."
He begins to walk back to the palace, ignoring the calls after him that sounded from the rather distraught and confused woman. Yaki merely waves at his wife and shakes his head, directing her to settle down while she looks at him incredulously.
"What are you even talking about?! How can you remain so calm?! What happened?!" she asked her mate who merely frowned.
"What we've both been trying to avoid is coming. And it's coming because of him." He mutters and her eyes widened.
"You mean-" she began and he cut her off with a quiet "yes", her hands began to tremble as she guided the children back into their home, all while Yaki watched the horizon and the sun that was dipping below it.
Koigo arrives back at the keep, hanging his head and watching his mate converse with her friends. Her duties to him had eased greatly and she spent much of her free time now training or partaking in other activities such as gardening. He had teased her about it initially but had relented after realizing how much she liked the activity.
She was quite happy with herself now, and that was all that was needed to put him at ease.
Saradi was indeed over the moon and it showed. From the way that she practically skipped over towards Kinu and Domon and the way that she spoke, there was a certain light to her now, a certain energy that had been missing before.
"What has gotten into you?" Domon asked her, his eyes wide as he runs the mop head along the marble flooring, glancing over at his friend worriedly.
She shrugs, "I don't know." She muttered, although it was clearly a bald-faced attempt at a lie, anyone could see that.
She had been informed by Koigo that the nature of the
ir relationship would have to remain secret. She would not be able to tell anyone else out of fear that the information would leak. But he had also confided in her that this information would eventually spread and their lives would be risked. She understood and she had already told him that she would be there to fight if necessary.
That was one part of her that was never going to go away.
"Anyways." Muttered Kinu as he shared a concerned look with Domon, "We're transferring. After 3 days we're no longer going to be workers, thought you should know before you come and try to find us again." The man whistled while wiping down one of the nearby windows.
Saradi raised an eyebrow.
"It's true!" Domon stated with glee in his voice as he made an expressive wave with his hands, "They're going to train me in the engineers corps! I'm gonna be able to work on the machines and maintenance around this place."
"And I will be joining the local guard." Stated Kinu, "My marksmanship is still needed."
The human male had a content look on his face and watched as Domon continued to blabber on about all of his wild ideas and how much attention he would receive now that he had this new role. Saradi could only laugh and thank the stars that they had all found their own niches in this castle. She had thought that when they had first arrived here that there would be nothing for them, that they would be worked to the bone as slaves but that had not been the case at all. Through his momentary kindness and their eventual effort they were able to see that this life...wasn't as bad as it had been made out to be, for Saradi and Kinu at least.
But there was another person that was missing.
Saradi had looked for her in the beginning of the day when she had first come down here but now she was noticeably absent. Nura and her child weren't in the usual servant quarters and Saradi knew that she had to make a mental note to find the woman and to catch up. After all, she hoped that the mother would have found a profession much like her fellow servants.
