Cowboys & Bosses

I experimented with all types of meals for Jack and I, then later for the ranch hands as well. I’ve added about a dozen new dishes to my repertoire, but luckily Jack had put his foot down and hired a housekeeper and cook who came in and did laundry and cooked breakfast and supper for the boys. Now that I was home all day, almost every single day, I managed to whip up soup or sandwiches for lunch so Margaret could spend some time with her husband.

This was a type of domestic bliss I hadn’t expected when Jack held my face and told me he loved me the first time. But we were happy, crazy in love and we still couldn’t keep our hands off each other. Things were perfect.

And despite thousands of hints from Sage and Tammy, I was happy just as we were. Two people in love living together and raising our daughter. I didn’t need the ring to be happy. I wanted it but I realized that it was just a symbol. I trusted our love.

Gabby’s cry sounded through the monitor as I sank into the mattress, not ready to leave the hot embrace of my man’s arms, but prepared to do so all the same. I tried to move away but Jack’s grip tightened and he kissed the back of my neck.

“I’ll get her. You stay right here. Like this.” He pulled the sheet down to the foot of the bed, leaving me naked and exposed. “Just like that,” he grinned as he slipped on his boxers and went to check on Gabby.

I stretched out my body wearing a broad grin because I knew what he had in mind based on that dark look he sent me, not to mention the way his cock tented his shorts. And I knew I would be ready because the sight of my big strong Ranger hold our tiny daughter in his arms, was enough to get me fired up and ready for liftoff in under a minute.

But as I waited. And waited. A better idea struck.

I would get started without him.

After spending all day—between feedings and diaper changes—in bed, Jack left me in bed with Gabby and went down to the kitchen. I knew he was planning to cook because the only thing that made me hotter than watching him be a dad, was watching him in the kitchen all shirtless and muscled. I washed and dressed Gabby before throwing on a pair of jeans and loose blouse before we went down to join him. “What’s on the menu today?”

He gave me that sexy smile over his shoulder and winked. “Something delicious. Have a seat.”

I nuzzle our daughter, both of us riveted by the sight of his graceful moves as the house filled with delicious smells. Garlic and herbs, steak and butter. My stomach growled until finally he set the food on the table and picked up Gabby. “Hey princess.” He pressed a soft kiss to her ebony curls and inhaled that sweet baby scent. “Too bad you can’t eat this food because your dad did a bang-up job.”

Gabby just looked up at the man with familiar eyes. She was mesmerized by the sound of his voice, his big body and shock of black hair. They were quite the pair, both equally fascinated with one another. But when he sat her in the nearby bassinet, she made baby noises to voice her displeasure. But she didn’t cry.

  “Beer?”

I shook my head. “Still breastfeeding,” I told him, ignoring the heated look that landed on my chest. “I’ll get it.” The fridge was closer to me so I grabbed a beer for him the pitcher of lemonade for me.

“Thanks, babe.” He winked and his gaze never left me as I sat down and took in the feast he’d prepared.

“This looks amazing Jack. Maybe I should make you go two months without sex all the time.” I laughed at the narrowing gaze he shot me. “Or not.”

“This isn’t for the sex but I do have some caramel for later. This is because I love you and watching you eat is an erotic experience.”

I rolled my eyes because he always said that. Fifty years with Jack and my ass would be as big as the newly named Rockin’ CW, the name we’d finally settled on for the ranch. “I do love my meat.”

He groaned and smiled, still watching me as I unrolled the silverware from the napkin and placed the napkin on my lap. “What?”

  “Nothing.”

Yeah, right. I didn’t believe that for one second. “Bread?”

He slid the bowl filled with rolls over to me, blue gaze still fixed on me. “I made your favorite Hawaiian rolls.”

“I love a man who respects my carb addiction,” I told him and pulled the towel off the top, gasping in surprise at the deep blue velvet box inside. Instead of my rolls. “Jack?” My heart began to race so fast it was all I could hear. Could this be the moment? The one I’d convinced myself I could live without if I had to, but desperately wanted?”

“This can’t be that big a shock Sierra. I love you. You’re my girl and you always have been. Even when I didn’t know it. But now I want to make it official.” He pushed the chair back and came to me, pulling me from my chair and taking my seat before he pulled me down on his lap. “Sierra you are everything I didn’t think I wanted. Didn’t think I was capable of having. But I should have known. It all started with those letters and watching you grow into a woman through them. You were so open and honest, no longer the shy girl who used to chase after me and Mason with hearts in your eyes. You kept me safe. You gave me your heart and I want you to know that I cherished every fucking moment.”

I swiped a tear away as my other hand played lazily in his hair, eyes filling with tears and heart expanding with love. “Jack. It was always you.”

“And you. But now I want it all. I want to see your curves wrapped up in white and walking towards me in front of all of Lucky Flats. I want to be yours forever. I want you to be mine forever.”

“I want that too,” I whispered.

He grinned, relief flashing in his eyes like there was ever a chance I didn’t want it. “That’s damn good to hear, sweetheart. Because Sierra Rose Carmichael, I want nothing more in this world than to make you my wife. Will you marry me?”

This was the moment I’d waited for since Jack first rescued me from that tree so long ago and I have to say, this moment was better, bigger, more than my mind could have conjured at the time. A quick glance at Gabby, who seemed to be deeply interested in what was happening and my heart swelled again. “Jack I can’t wait to marry you. I love you and I want to see how the next seventy years or so turn out.”

“Seventy? I’ll do you one better, how about forever?”

“Sounds good to me.” Sounded damn good, in fact.

  Sierra

“I hear Jack Winchester is back and lookin’ fine as ever.” Tammy Rae Nixon leaned her cleavage over the bar, apparently forgetting that flashing her tits to me was as useless as trying to talk about Jack.

“Both of those things are true,” I told her without looking her way. If she thought she’d get one damn piece of information on Jack from me, she was as mistaken about me as she was about that shade of pink lipstick she wore. “What’ll it be Tammy?”

  “Jack’s number.”

“I own a bar, not a brothel, Tammy.” The woman thought every person on the planet was put here to server her carnal desires.

“Gimme what’s on tap,” she pouted. “It’s not like you’re gonna make a move so why can’t you help me out?”

I should have been offended and given the tramp a piece of my mind, but she wasn’t worth it. Okay it would have made me feel better, but she wasn’t the one spending late nights crawling all over the piece of masculine perfection known in Lucky Flats as Jack Winchester. “Just because I don’t flaunt my tits all over the free world doesn’t mean I’m not capable of making a move Tammy. Now,” I slammed the chilled mug down in front of her. “Go bother someone else.” I could
tell by the stubborn set of her shoulders and the defiant tilt of her chin that she was going to give me a hard time tonight if for no other reason than to piss me off.

“Oh come on, if you were going to make your move on Jack you’d have done it by now,” she laughed, shaking her head because, of course, the whole damn town knew of my lifelong crush on the handsome Army Ranger.

I sent her a withering glare and she at least had the brains to be afraid but when her look shifted, softened and her chest shot out another few inches I knew. Jack was here. “Sierra.” His voice was deep, smooth like top shelf whiskey with just a hint of the edge of a whip. Sharp and commanding.

I turned slowly, leaning on the bar with my back to Tammy. “Jack. What can I do for you?”

“The important question,” Tammy piped up, tits now resting right on the bar, “is what I can do for you tonight.” She purred. Fucking purred at the man, like a street cat in heat.

To his credit he ignored Tammy other than a polite greeting. “We have a problem,” he told me, gaze dark and intense. My body instantly went on alert.

“What’s wrong?” My mind immediately went to Sage and the baby. “Is everything all right?”

Arms crossed so the short sleeves of the t-shirt stretched across his biceps, showing off a few tattoos I’d traced with my tongue last night, his gaze ate me up and I had to suppress a shiver because we had an audience. “It will be. Got a minute?” His gaze dipped low and I knew he saw just how his deep, commanding tone affected me.

“Sure.” I let the waitress know I was going to the back and followed Jack to my office, only he wasn’t there. “Jack? Where in the hell did you go?” He was a big man, well over six feet which meant way too big to hide easily in the narrow hall. “Jack, I don’t have time to…oh!” He reached out for me and pulled me back into a space void of all light. “Is this the problem?”

His breath was warm against my neck, big strong body pressed against the back of me. “No Sierra, this is the problem.” He thrust his hips so I could feel just how rock hard he was for me.

Arching my back I rested my head on his chest with a moan. “That’s quite an intriguing problem. How should we handle it?”

His hands cupped my breasts, squeezing the nipples through my shirt until I gasped. A threat of electricity shot from my nipples, down my stomach to settle deep in my clenching, dripping core. “I’m already working on it, sweetheart.”

Sweet lord, yes he was! Open mouth kisses down the column of my neck while his hands set me on fire and my body was wound so tight I was pretty sure I’d come before one stitch of clothing came off. “Jack,” I panted and turned in his arms, letting my hands roam all over the hard muscular expanse of his chest, his back. “You feel so good.” My hands slid down his chest, enjoying the bumpy ride thanks to the miles of hard muscles that right now, was my playground.

“That’s my line,” he said on a hiss as I pulled open his jeans and wrapped my hands around his impressive length. “Oh, fuck Sierra.”

“See Jack, it’s you who feels good. Silky smooth on the outside and hard like steel,” I told him, punctuating my words with a squeeze.

“Sierra,” he groaned and held my wrist. “God, your mouth.”

“Yeah? You came here for this mouth,” I told him, sinking to my knees with his jeans gripped in my fists. My mouth watered, even in the darkness, for his cock. It was perfect in every way. Long—nine inches long—and thick with the perfect amount of curve. But best of all, he always tasted like pure masculine heat. One swipe across the tip and I groaned at the taste of his arousal.

“I always come for this mouth,” he told me, picking me up off the floor and lifting me in his arms, slamming my back against the cool wall. “But right now, I need. I really, really need, to be buried deep inside you.”

“Why didn’t you say so? I’m glad I wore a skirt today.” The truth was I had to. We barely slept last night because we couldn’t get enough of each other and I was so swollen and sensitive, my painted on jeans would have been asking for trouble.

“I wish I could see what you’re wearing underneath. Tell me what it is,” he grunted in my ear as his fingertips brushed against my pussy.

“Hold me,” I told him as I reached up blindly, and pulled a dangling string. “I’ll do you one better,” I told him as the room filled with dim blue light.

  “Why is the bulb blue?”

I laughed and told him. “The bulb blew out and this was what we had available.” It was just a small storage room for towels and supplies so it didn’t’ really matter.

“I can’t tell what color they are,” he said as he lowered my feet to the floor and knelt before me, dragging the material down my legs and inhaling deeply before shoving them into the little pocket at his chest. “But they are tiny and best of all, they’re gone.”

“Yes.” The moan was guttural, thick with the desire I felt for him. The wicked way he made my heart race and my pussy pulse. Then I was in his arms again, back pressed against the wall as his cock perched at my entrance. I let gravity do the rest, both of us letting out a wild, feral groan at the feel of our bodies pressed together. “Jack.”

Legs squeezed tight around his waist, my arms wrapped around his neck and fingers dance in his thick locks as he slid slow and deep. The pace was steady, just enough to feel good but nowhere near enough to get us both where we wanted to go. I nipped at his earlobe to urge him on but the stubborn man refused. “Sierra, baby.”

“Oh, Jack. Yes!” I licked his neck in slow, wet circles before sinking my teeth into that warm flesh.

“Sierra,” he groaned and held my thighs apart in an unprecedented show of masculine strength and slid out, sliding in deep, all the way to the hilt until I cried out my pleasure.

“Oh god, yes! Yes, Jack!” The more vocal I was, the more it unleashed the beast within him. He held me so open I should have been embarrassed but all I could do was feel the way he filled me up, warm thick flesh sliding against all my nerve endings. It was a long, pleasure-filled ride that I couldn’t get enough of, clawing at him. Gripping his shoulders as he pounded into me with a guttural sound that stole the last shred of my control. My hips moved on their own, familiar with the age old erotic dance, using our bodies to ratchet up the heat in the room. “Jack, yes.”

He pounded into me furiously, sweat slicking our bodies from the poor ventilation and intense passion. Suddenly I was soaring. Soaring and screaming as he thrust deeper and harder, faster and deeper until my body was such a jumble of sensations and emotions that all I could do was feel. Every nerve ending in my body lit up with the pleasure pulsing through me and then there it was, the thing that made me feel alive.

Jack. Hard and tense as his own orgasm erupted out of him, pressing my body further into the wall as he filled me impossibly. “Fuck,” he panted in my ear, body still quivering. “That was incredible.”

It was more than incredible. It was life altering. It felt too much like the real thing for me to know the difference, because with Jack I really wanted it to be the real thing. More than anything. “Yeah, it was pretty damn spectacular.”

His gaze locked with mine, mouth curling into that irresistible smile that had fueled so many girlhood fantasies I couldn’t help but smile back. “You’re pretty damn spectacular Sierra.” His mouth slid against mine in a kiss that was possibly, even hotter than what we’d just done together. It was passionate and feverish, frenzied and wild. Hungry. Raw.

I could have died right there and been a perfectly happy woman.

Instead Jack kissed me until he thickened inside of me and my body flooded in preparation for round two. “I just can’t get enough, Jack.”

“Tell me about it,” he groaned and kissed me again.

  I showed him instead.

  Then you’ll LOVE Mr. Medic!

  Seal’d To The Cowboy

  Lance

  “Ready to go, Starling?

I turned my head, locating the voice coming from the grizzled old man with the huge cowboy hat. It was good old Hank! He was here to take me back to the ranch. I should have known.

It had been a long, long journey, in more ways than one. Five years of service with the SEALs, and now it was almost over. The final leg was driving back to the ranch, which would take about half a day from the airport.

I ran a hand over my chin. Stubble had formed, I hadn’t had time to shave. Once the decision had been made, I just legged it. From Iraq to New York, and then another plane to Wyoming.

I held out my hand. “Hank, you’re gold,” I said to the man. His face split with a smile from ear to ear.

Hank was the head ranch hand at my ranch, the Starling Ridge. He had taken the reigns while I was on service, and since the old man had died. I hadn’t been back to the ranch in over two years.

“You look like shit,” Hank grinned, then enveloped me in a bear hug. Damn, it felt good. I had been through things lately that had made me miss home so bad, it almost twitched like the nerve endings from an absent limb.

Lance Starling. Special Forces SEAL. Hero. The names and labels that were once me. They felt like the drooping ribbons pinned to the chest of a child after winning a second-grade sprint.

“Hell, some things never change, Hank,” I told the old ranch hand. “Still full of compliments, you old son of a bitch.”
