Ronan sipped from his goblet and took his seat again as the hall erupted into cheers.
“How was that, vringna?” he asked me.
“It was perfect, Ronan.” I leaned over to rest my forehead against his. “You’re going to make a great king.”
“I could not have done it without you, my queen.” Ronan kissed me deeply. His lips felt so familiar now, it was hard to believe that I’d ever lived without kisses like his. But at the same time, every time he kissed me, it felt like the first time all over again. When he pulled away, we were both breathless. “Thank the moons for the day fate showed you to me. None of this would have been possible without you.”
“Or without you, Your Highness.” I kissed him again, even harder this time, and the cheers grew louder. “Long may you reign.”
