  Chapter 1

Amber looked out of the living room window, she was feeling bored. Her husband had left over an hour before for work. She wanted to get a job, but Michael had said no, he earns enough money for the both of them. They had only been married for two years, and it was already starting to crumble. They had moved to this small village twelve months ago and she had only made a few friends. Their four bedded home was in an exclusive road by a river. All the houses looked the same, most of the people were gone in the morning by seven thirty and back home by six ‘o clock in the evening. Where Amber’s road finished, there was another road of only 13 houses. Amber looked at her reflection in the mirror on the wall in the hallway. The reflection had brown shoulder length hair, thin faced, brown eyes, and a thin figure.Amber looked away from the reflection looking back at her to a wedding photograph on the hall table. They were happier days, her cheesy smile at the camera, with her tall dark haired new husband smiling too. Her parents had footed the bill, Michael’s parents had offered to go halves, but Amber’s parents said no. Amber felt like a princess on that day, the honeymoon was an eight - day all inclusive stay in Mauritius. It was all change when they got home .Amber was to get pregnant straight away, Michael said no and to wait. Amber had asked, wait for what, Michael held his finger to her mouth and the subject was dropped. Loading up the washing machine, emptying the dish washer, Amber turned on the radio and started to day-dream.

Michael put the phone down and sat back in his comfortable chair. He was so proud of himself. He had got some more business for the firm. His boss, Nigel will be pleased when he comes in. Michael had only been in the job for twelve months, but had worked up to senior accountant, only his boss was higher than him. Michael had heard rumours about his boss, but looking at his boss, he couldn’t believe what people had said about him. It seemed it all kicked off six months ago. Nigel’s brother, Trevor had been killed on the way to work by stepping on eleven thousand volt cable. Trevor’s wife had found out to be pregnant, and as soon as the funeral was over, Rose moved away. Nigel was putting a brave face on it. His wife was expecting twins and the shock of Trevor’s death nearly made Natalie have a miscarriage. With friends and family, they sort of got over that hurdle. Natalie is due soon, but with six other children to look after as well, Nigel is employing two nannies for childcare. Michael’s wife, Amber had only asked once if they could try for a baby, but Trevor had silenced her on that subject. He doesn’t like children, and Amber knew that. Michael knew Amber was upset about it, and told her that they could wait. Michael looked at the diary, and saw Nigel was out this morning at Farmer Kite’s farm. Mrs Hayley Kite had a son six months ago. She had called the baby Thomas. Everybody around here was either having babies or had a baby. Best not tell Amber anything as she will start on the baby subject again.

“Are you sure, you want another one so quick?”Asked Nigel.

“Making the most of you, “laughed Hayley

Baby Thomas was asleep in the cot next to the bed. Hayley slipped out of her purple nightdress and lay on the bed. Nigel just took off his trousers and stood there, with his hand on his penis, and beckoned Hayley over to start to suck on it. He patted her on his head, while she slowly sucked on his penis.Nigel closed his eyes, it felt good he thought. Since Rose had left six months ago, he had only Hayley to see. His work partner’s wife, Amber might be next on his list. When he saw her last time, she looked fit to burst for some sex.Michael didn’t mention much about his home life, but did say he didn’t like children. Nigel thought he could help the situation if asked. Nigel tapped Hayley on the head to stop. He told her to go on all fours. Nigel loved the doggy position. He entered her and started pumping away. He slowly massaged Hayley’s nipples. Nigel suddenly started to climax, he let out a groan. He stayed inside Hayley for a few moments, and then pulled away. Hayley turned round and started to put her nightdress back on. Nigel finished zipping up his trousers, and helped Hayley up off the bed.

“So when’s the next night of sex with her husband?”Asked Nigel

“Tonight,” said Hayley following Nigel downstairs.

“He might now father one of his own children now, “laughed Nigel.

“Don’t hold your breath, its straight in and out, and roll over,” sneered Hayley, opening the front door.

“When do you want me next time?”Asked Nigel kissing Hayley on the forehead.

“Probably next week, I will text you,” whispered Hayley.

Nigel left, and walked up down the driveway to his car. He looked round and couldn’t see Dave anywhere. Nigel opened his car, and sat in the driver’s seat. He checked his mobile phone. No calls, not off Natalie either. Nigel threw the phone on the passenger seat. Started the car, and drove off.

  Chapter 2

Amber was sat in the local Library reading one of the national newspapers. Amber had noticed that only a few people were in here today. Amber’s friend Ray was late today. Amber had got friendly with Ray when they got talking in the library. After talking to Ray for a few months she discovered

That he lived above the hardware shop in the high street.

He had been divorced twice, got two lovely children.

He was trying to get his first novel published.

He was studying for an Open University degree.

Amber kept saying to him, he must be fighting off all the local women. Whereas Ray had taken hold of Amber’s left hand and said three words.”Still married then!”

There was definitely some sexual chemistry between Amber and Ray, but Amber didn’t want to risk losing her husband. So Amber and Ray met in the Library twice a week, talked and had a coffee. Ray had asked Amber back to his flat above the shop countless of times. But Amber was worried it could lead to something, something she didn’t want to happen. Amber took a sip from her cup of coffee, when she heard a familiar voice.

  “Hi stranger!”

Ray put down his cup of coffee, and sat by Amber. Ray was a very youthful forty seven. He had short black hair with dashes of silver. He had got a long face, brown friendly eyes, and a small mouth. Being only five foot four inches didn’t stop him being a hit with the ladies! He looked at Amber with so much love he could cry. He had tried over the last few months to see if she would leave her husband but she wouldn’t. The things she said her husband had done to her, it was plain mental cruelty. Amber wouldn’t come back to his flat. He wanted her, so badly; even to give her a hug.

“Can you come back to mine today?”Pleaded Ray.

Amber closed her eyes, and put both hands over her face.

“I can’t, it won’t be fair on Michael, “sobbed Amber.

“Sod Michael, I’m here for you, no matter what!”

  “No,” sobbed Amber.

Ray had enough. He got up, from the table and headed out of the library. Amber looked up, got up from the table and followed Ray out of the Library. Ray kept walking towards his flat. Amber caught up with him and stood in front of Ray so he couldn’t walk any more.

“What’s the matter with you Ray?”

“I want you to come back with me, as I can’t stand you saying no anymore!”

Amber stood there. She looked up at the sky. Will it hurt to go
back to Ray’s for a bit. Amber bit her lip. What the hell.

“Fine, but for ten minutes only, “said Amber who started to walk ahead of Ray.

They walked down the high street, past the take away shops, charity shops, and finally they reached the hardware shop. Ray walked round the back, to his back gate. Ray opened the gate, Amber went through, and Ray closed the gate. Down the alleyway, was Ray’s bike up against the wall? Ray opened the door, and went upstairs, Amber followed. Ray pointed to the room facing them. The living room was small, one small blue sofa, small table, television, and a shelf filled with DVDs. Ray had vanished into another room, and then appeared with two cups of coffee. He put them on the table, and sat next to Amber, who was looking at the clock on the wall. He puts his hand on her hand.

“I’m here for you, Amber, “whispered Ray.

“I know,” Amber started to cry.

Ray pulled Amber to him; let her cry on his shoulder. She sobbed on his shoulder for well over ten minutes. When Amber lifted her head off his shoulder, she felt a weight had been lifted. The marriage to Michael was over, she needed to be loved, and if Ray was prepared to give her the love she yeans so be it. Ray got up and took Amber’s hand. He led her to his bedroom.

  Chapter 3

Adam was sitting on the stool, waiting for Kate. It was only seven o’ clock in the evening, but it was already very dark. Adam had been making plans with Kate, to rent somewhere together. The next step, she called it. Adam felt twenty years younger since going out with Kate. His work mates couldn’t believe they are moving in together so quick. But before that, they would have a little try out first. A little holiday abroad to see if they can be in the same room with each other after two weeks together. Adam looked up from his pint to see one of the twins, who worked in the Age Concern charity shop drinking at the bar. As long as he could remember their mother Maud had ruled with a fist of iron. No boyfriends, home by seven’s clock or else. This twin had not taken off her name badge from her shop. As she turned round, Adam read the badge,”Maureen”.She looked quite dressed up, not the normal day wear she wears. Red dress with red shoes tonight. During the day, Maureen and her twin sister dress the same. Tweed brown jackets, their brown long hair tied in a bun, brown pleated skirts, stockings, and court shoes with buckles. Their mother was rarely seen out these days. She had to bring up her girls on her own after her husband had run off nearly thirty years earlier. They still lived in the same house, by the roundabout. The house had not changed since Adam first started. The back garden stretched the length of the nearby car park behind the block of offices, where Michael and Nigel work as accountants. The other twin sister was called Olive. She was a gardener. She sold the vegetables she grew in the back garden at the local car boot during the summer. Maureen was the outgoing twin, while Olive was the quieter twin. Both identical in every other way, people struggled to identify who was who.

Adam was still watching Maureen, when Kate sat down beside him.

  “Got some competition then?”Laughed Kate.

“You must be joking, “Laughed Adam.

“Doesn’t she work in the charity shop up the high street?”Asked Kate.

“Yes, so does her twin sister, if she didn’t have that name badge on, I wouldn’t have known it was Maureen, “said Adam

“So my lovely man wants to see me tonight?”Asked Kate

“I want to show you something, “said Adam passing over a blue envelope.

Kate opened the blue envelope; inside was two plane tickets to New York and hotel accommodation.Kates mouth was wide open when she looked back at Adam.

“Close your mouth, you’re going to catch flies, “laughed Adam.

  “Tomorrow?”Asked Kate

“I pulled a few strings, I knew you had a fortnight coming up, so I booked the holiday, “said Adam holding Kate’s hand.

Kate kissed Adam on the lips, “I love you,” she said.

“I love you too, “said Adam kissing Kate back.

“I need time to pack, “said Kate looking back at the tickets.

“Don’t worry about packing, we can buy clothes over there, “said Adam.

Adam got up and held out his hand to Kate. Kate reached for his hand.

“Back to yours, to pick up your passport” said Adam putting his hand around Kate.

While Kate walked through the door to go, Adam looked around and saw Maureen talking to a tall man with curly brown hair. The man was wearing a black leather jacket, white shirt, with blue jeans. The man was about six foot tall and of medium build. Adam was worried something was going to happen with the pair. But as from half an hour ago he was off duty. Adam shut the pub door and walked over to Kate. He pulled Kate to him and gave her a big hug. The sooner he gets away from the village for two weeks the better he thought as he squeezed Kate a bit more.

Maureen was enjoying herself. She wasn’t used to being out after seven’s clock. Her mum wasn’t feeling very well and had gone to bed. Olive was watching the black and white television, so Maureen slipped out the front door. She had met Simon a few times in her charity shop. They talked, even had coffee. Simon didn’t know she had a twin- sister. He had come in when Olive was not in there. Olive pretended to be Maureen when Simon came into the shop. Maureen swore Olive to secrecy, not to tell their mum. One condition Olive said, we share him. Maureen just shrugged her shoulders and said fine. Simon wouldn’t know, as her and Olive look identical. Simon was a dealer, who lived just outside the village. He was five years younger than the twins. No wife, no girlfriend or kids. Maureen was hoping to go back to Simon’s house after the pub. Simon was onto his second pint and seems to be having a good time.

Simon was attached to Maureen in a big way. He had gone into the charity shop, and it felt like being hit by thunderbolt. Simon enjoyed her company, and even had coffee with her while she was on her break. He knew she lived in the village somewhere, but Maureen wouldn’t tell where. She had no boyfriend, no husband or kids. Maureen did say she lived with her mum. Simon couldn’t believe she had not got a boyfriend. Simon wanted to get to know Maureen a bit better, outside of the charity shop, so tonight was the lucky night. Simon finished his second pint, and put it on the bar.

  “Ready?”He asked Maureen.

Maureen smiled, and put her empty glass on the bar.

Simon started to leave, Maureen followed. Out in the car park, Simon opened his car, and opened the passenger door for Maureen. Soon as Maureen got in, he shut the door. Simon then got in, started the car and drove two miles to his house.

The new housing estate just outside the village was only two miles from the pub. The housing estate had a mix of private and housing association houses. They were only ten years old. Simon had lived in his house for over two years. It was a four bedroom detached house. Small garden at the front and a large garden at the back. He used one bedroom as his office. One bedroom as storage. He was lucky to have huge bathroom with toilet upstairs and a toilet downstairs as well. All he needed was a lovely woman to share his life. Simon got out of the car, and opened Maureen’s car door. She jumped out, and waited by the front door. Maureen couldn’t believe Simon lived here on his own. Simon locked the car, and opened the front door. He turned on the hall light and waved Maureen through the front door. Maureen was in a dream, the hall had lamented flooring, and Simon showed Maureen through to the living room. Maureen sat down on the leather sofa, while Simon opened the drinks cabinet, and pulled out a red bottle of wine.

“Fancy a drink of red wine?”Asked Simon, who was removing the cork?

  “Yes please, “Smiled Maureen.

Simon passed a glass to Maureen, picked up the bottle and his glass and started to leave the room.

“You will enjoy it better up here,” said Simon starting to go up the stairs.

Maureen took a sip of wine for some Dutch coverage. Maureen kicked off her shoes by the front door, and then started to climb the stairs. The carpet on the stairs was so soft under Maureen’s feet. She reached the
top, and saw the light coming from the end of the landing. She pushed the door open, and Simon was sitting in bed, drinking his glass of wine. He pattered the empty side of his bed. Maureen came into the bedroom, put her glass down and started to get undressed. Maureen was so glad she had upgraded her lingerie. The old grey bras and pants were put on the bonfire. She had managed to get some nice sexy matching pink bras and matching underwear. She slipped under the duvet, and pulled the duvet up to her chin. Simon poured himself a fourth glass of wine. He drank it in one gulp. He turned off his bedside lamp.

Simon moved towards Maureen, he kissed her on her lips, and started to feel her breasts. Then one hand went down to feel for Maureen’s clitoris. Maureen started to groan, Simon was getting turned on very quickly. Simon grabbed Maureen’s hand and put it on his top of his penis.

  “Rub slowly,” said Simon.

Maureen rubbed slowly, Simon started to groan. He then got on top of Maureen inserted his penis and started pumping into Maureen. The sensations were getting stronger, Maureen felt waves of ecstasy, and her breathing was getting heavy. She couldn’t stop herself from shouting out. Soon Simon stopped, groaned, and lay on top of Maureen for a few minutes, and then rolled off. Maureen lay there, she heard loud snores from Simon. Maureen got up and grabbed her clothes, in the darkness she managed to find the bathroom. She cleaned herself up, and got dressed. She could hear Simon snoring loudly. Maureen went downstairs, put her shoes on, opened the front door, and into the darkness.

  Chapter 4

Maureen woke up; she rubbed her eyes and saw the time was six thirty. Olive was asleep by the side of her.

By the time Maureen had got back home, it was eleven thirty. The house was in darkness. She heard her mum snoring, but Olive was sat on the top step waiting for Maureen. They got into their bedroom, and sat on the bed. Maureen had stripped off her clothes and slipped into a flannel towelling nightdress. It was long sleeved, and came down to the floor. Olive was wearing a matching nightdress.
