  Chapter 12

We talked we laughed and had fun today at their home with no witch or gnome to bother us. We were planning to go to all the places one by one and actually enjoy our vacation WHOOT, WHOOT, WHOOT! As night fell it was time to go to bed and Mel was sleeping I got up and texted Alex. I told him all about today and that he didn’t need to worry now. He wrote sleep dreams back and I went to bed. When I woke up I went down and started making breakfast. One by one everyone woke up and thanked me for making breakfast. Once we were all down eating we decided where we should go. We went to each of the places and we had fun. The days that we were going to be in Ireland became shorter and shorter until there were only a week left. We had just come back from visiting Blarney Stone and so far no sign of my gab powers from the legend but oh well being with family was good enough wasn’t it. I woke up at 7:00 am and went down to find Sophie making breakfast. “Good morning.” I say happy. “Good morning. Did you sleep well?” she asked. “Great!” I say smiling. “Any other places in your mind left you want to go?” Sophie asked. “Well I just want to chill find leprechauns and four leaf clovers be with my family have fun that’s it.” I say smiling and eating my cereal. “Well there’s been lot’s of four leaf clovers found in the forest so you start by searching there. As for leprechauns I guess in the end of the rainbow and family right here.” She said smiling. “Hi are you having sweet family mushy time?” Mel said hopping down the stairs. “Yes anyways you want to go search for some four leaf clovers and leprechauns today?” I say. “Definitely I am so ready!” Mel said as Sophie and I laugh. Once everyone finished their breakfast Mel and I went down to the forest. We go down and down in the forest chatting and then we reach a big empty space filled with plants. “Hey isn’t this where Pandora’s house was before?” Mel asked. “Hey right now I remember!” I say. “Wow probably because she died that’s why the house disappeared.” Mel said figuring it out. “That makes sense!” I say nodding. We haven’t found any four leaf clovers yet so I began to search. Right in the middle I spotted a little clover. “Hey I found one!” I say excited and Mel ran to me and I pull her to stop before she could step on it. Right in the middle there was a beautiful four leaf clover I picked it up and put it in my album. The next day we just looked around and looked for rainbows and leprechauns. As the days went on I already began to feel sad that I was going to go soon. At night we went outside in the front to look at the stars.

  Chapter 13

As I went to sleep I thought tomorrow was the last day what was I going to do? “Mel you still awake?” I ask. “Now I am. What-cha thinking she said turning in my way.” She asked.”How should we spend the last day here in Ireland?” I ask. “I’m not sure.” She said. “Same I want to do something different, special, and something that I’ll remember.” I say sighing. “How about we drive to a beach and have a picnic there and throw a party back here?” Mel said. “Hey you actually got good ideas!” I say laughing. “You’re so offensive!” Mel said laughing and went to sleep. The next morning it was me and Sophie up first again. “So how do you want to spend the last day here in Ireland?” Sophie asked while I started eating my breakfast. “Well Mel and I were thinking maybe we could drive to a close beach and have a picnic there and throw a small party back here?” I ask. “Sounds like you got it all planed.” Sophie said laughing. At lunch we help Sophie pack apples, sandwiches, drinks, and napkins for the picnic. The ride to the beach was actually really short. We had a great picnic and we had fun playing in the sand and water. At dinner it turns out Sophie already brought a cake for us and we had a small party. After that everyone started to cry. The longer you stay at a place the harder it takes to get back to your normal life. We all promised to stay connected by email, mail, phone, Skype, and whatever we could think of. We took some time to pack and it was time to sleep. I didn’t want to sleep knowing that as soon as I fall asleep tomorrow would come sooner than if I was awake but the longer I was awake the harder it was to stay awake. In the end I gave up and fell asleep. Mel and I both agreed that we were going to set an alarm at 5:00 am so that we could have more time for our goodbyes. When the alarm rang I got up and got ready as fast as I could. Our flight back to Toronto was also at 1:00 pm so we had some time. We were both surprised to find everyone already up and eating breakfast maybe we weren’t the only ones that thought of that. Goodbyes were even harder today. On the way to the airport was wet. Emily and Emma also wanted to come to the airport so the seats were completely full. Once we got there hugs and kisses were done a hundred times. When you don’t want time to go fast that’s when it feels like time fly’s. Once we boarded the airplane we all broke down. People were all looking at us. Mel told me yesterday night that Sophie made her feel like family and even she didn’t want to go. But once you land at Toronto and you see the sights from the air at the same time you feel like you also miss it. Once the airplane landed we left the plane. “You know every time I come back I feel proud at Canada.” Mel said smiling. “Same I don’t really know how to explain it but it’s the Canada flag, the words in French and English, People greeting new Canadian’s to Canada, and lot’s more. It had been nice in Ireland but Toronto was my real true home no matter where I went or how long I’ve been there.

  Chapter 14

I was ready. We had already been in Toronto for a week and got use to the time here again. Before the trip Alex had asked me to go to his house but it had been postponed to after the trip so he made it this Tuesday. Before I went Mel had texted me good luck. I took a deep breath and rang the door bell. It was 6:00 pm but the sky was still bright. “Hi.” Alex said greeting me. “Hi.” I say smiling. He took me around his house and we chatted a bit about my trip. “Do you want to go to the park?” He asked. “Sure.” I say and we set off. By then it was 7:00 pm and we sat down under the gazebo. It was warm and slightly windy. I turned to look at him and I found him staring at me with his bright green eyes. Every time I saw him from the start to now he always made my heart pound. He had been there for me from the very start even if I was millions of miles away from him. When he came you didn’t pick Courtney the prettiest what other boys would have. Before I reacted he kissed me and sparks exploded inside me. As we separated that day all I could dream and would forever was my first kiss…

  Epilogue

The next day I invited Mel over and told her about yesterday night. Being my best friend she said everything in the right parts. I love Ireland like I said before but really your family and friends are what makes that place loved no place is truly home without them. Here in Toronto is where my Family, friends, and my new boyfriend are so Toronto is my home forever.

  Dear reader,

Thanks for buying Gnomes don’t bite…right??? I enjoyed writing this book as much as my first book the curse of Friday 13th but in the end I really poured my feelings out. When I was writing about Alexa coming home at the airport and in the end I remembered the places I had gone to and how I thought I would miss it so much. But as soon as I reached Toronto Pearson airport I would feel happy and safe here in Toronto and at that moment I knew that without my family or friends no place is a real home. It doesn’t matter if you live in the “mighty” United States or the poorest place on earth but your home will always be your home like what I feel about Canada. Canada might not be as “powerful” as the USA but Canada is my forever home and it will always be. GO CANADA! Well enough of the mushy stuff (learned that from Alexa) I’m going to write a new book called my guardian angel. I really hope you enjoyed this book and thanks again for purchasing my book. Don’t hesitate to email me at [email protected] if you have any comments or questions!
