I glance down at her. Her lips don’t move, but she says it again. “I love you.”
“You do?” I whisper.
“You can hear my thoughts?” she asks, stunned.
“That was the first time I ever heard them. But if that’s what you’re thinking, I want to hear it forever.”
“I love you,” she says, this time speaking the words out loud.
I press my lips against hers and tell her the same.
“I’m glad you came to me,” I tell her.
“And I’m glad you picked me. I’m sorry it took me so long to realize it.”
I shake my head. “My Love, I would’ve waited a lifetime for those words. A lifetime.”
She smiles, and that’s really all a male could ask for.

What would it take to convince Naomi that this love was real? I was willing to take her from one planet to another until she saw that Marv was serious.
Marv is an innovator, a man of his people. But as the Narulian who brought females to their planet, he also had the opportunity to ask for the one thing that his mate truly needed for happiness – a place where she could walk freely in sunlight and find friendship.
The feeling that keeps bringing them back together is the feeling that will connect them in the end. I hope you enjoyed this story about Marv and Naomi. ��
