Villains Don't Do Time! (Night Terror Book 6)
Page 21
"Telepathic connection," I growled. "They can talk to each other's minds."
"Ding, ding, ding!" both women said at the same time, turning to stare at me in unison which was really creepy. "We have a winner!"
"Stop that," I snapped. "It's really fucking creepy."
"That's nothing compared to what I'm going to do to you now," they both said, still in unison like they were appearing at the end of a hall in an old time hotel asking me to come play with them.
I had a sinking feeling. I mean that feeling probably should have been there the moment Fialux burst through the ceiling, there were all sorts of red and yellow flashing alarms going through my heads up display, and they weren't the usual danger signals from my suit. No, those alarms came from my lab system which I'd never seen before and couldn't mean anything good.
Sabine turned to Fialux. This time she was the only one who spoke, but Fialux got a horrible villainous grin on her face. Something I'd always hoped to see, but I guess I should have been more specific in those hopes and mentioned that I didn't want to see it turned against me.
“Tear this place apart," Sabine said. "It's time to eliminate Night Terror as a threat. Forever."
Fialux's expression darkened. Then she flew straight at the glass with her fist outstretched.
Fuck.
