They looked between each other with blank, inebriated expressions before exploding into a fit of even more laughter.
I turned to Scarlett over my shoulder as they guffawed their asses off.
‘See, I was gonna use that charm from earlier,’ I said. ‘But now I really don’t feel like it.’
‘Me neither,’ she said, winking at me, ‘d’you wanna start or should I?’
‘Sure, I’ll go.’
Just as I turned, the lead frat guy rushed me, and then all hell broke loose.
His buddies joined in as I struck out at them with my staff, not a single thought going through my mind other than animal-instinct as Lois’s training came back to me. I may have been armed, but this was three against one, so I forgave myself for the advantage.
Just as I started to become overwhelmed, I heard those oh-so familiar words slip from Scarlett’s mouth nearby, and things heated up – literally.
One of the goons shrieked out, scrambling at his t-shirt as it was engulfed in flames. It had spread to his pants by the time he ditched it, leaving me with the other two while he undressed himself in the middle of the bar.
While one stayed on his feet, raising his fists, the other hurried to a nearby table, grabbed an empty beer bottle by the neck and smashed the bottom-end against the edge of the table, raising it to face me.
I had felt a little bad at first about using a weapon, even if I was outnumbered, but now that I was facing off against broken glass in the hands of this asshole, that feeling went out the window.
A jolt of electricity flew from my staff, the guy’s body seizing up instantly. The bottle dropped from his hand and smashed on the ground as he fell back against the table behind him, collapsing to the ground.
One patting his naked body down and putting out the fires on his clothes, another freshly-electrocuted; and then there was one, the guy still holding up his fists in an attempt to fight me.
Problem for him was they were now a little more limp as he looked around at his incapacitated leader and his half-naked friend.
‘I’ll give you a choice,’ I breathed, ‘fire, electricity or a jab in the face. Or you can fuck off out of here.’
He didn’t say another word, but judging by how quickly he dropped his fists and high-tailed it out of the bar, I figured that he decided on the last option.
Body and throat still burning from the whisky and the fight, I took Scarlett’s hand and together we sprinted through the bar’s front door, hurrying down the street as we laughed hysterically. Shouting followed us for a minute before dying away completely. A short time later we were back in the abandoned parking lot, seizing our broomsticks and downing two more of the potion-soaked petals that Scarlett had cooked up before taking off into the sky.
The journey home was an adrenaline-fuelled blur. On the back of the whisky and the fight, we made the flight in half the time, flying through the sky at a ridiculous speed before the back yard of the coven came into view – but we didn’t let up the speed. We crashed down into the yard, rolling onto the grass, nothing but a pair of invisible masses heaped together as we stifled our laughter, trying not to wake the neighbours.
‘That was so much more fun than I remember,’ Scarlett laughed, just as the images of our physical forms began to return. ‘Sometimes life as a witch can be so… Strict.’
‘I always imagined witches to be devious,’ I said. ‘Guess that’s not the case.’
‘Oh, we are when we need to be,’ she replied resolutely, snuggling up to me and propping herself up on one shoulder to look down upon me as we laid on the grass. ‘But I’ve always been one for taking risks.’
We looked into each other’s eyes for a moment, the yard around us seeming to slip away, the warm spring air the only thing that occupied our surroundings. I ran a hand into her hair, and just like that our lips met. Scarlett wasn’t shy about kissing me, her tongue dancing with mine passionately as I pulled her close to me, running my hands over her slender, tight body.
Slowly she pulled away, biting her lip.
‘I’m sure we can pull off something much riskier than this,’ she grinned, winking at me.
‘What did you have in mind?’
‘Come on – but you’ve gotta be quiet.’
We took up our broomsticks and headed inside, every part of me wondering what the hell Scarlett had in mind. Rel was sat in the living room sleeping but the house was quiet – Lois and Brianna were fast asleep upstairs, and thankfully that wasn’t where we were heading so there was no risk of waking them.
Descending into the basement, Scarlett turned and pressed a single finger to her lips. She brought out a new granite slab, scurrying around the counters rapidly and piling everything together that she needed.
In less than a minute she had created the potion, spreading it over the slab before raising her hand and reciting an incantation from memory.
All I could do was watch, entirely impressed by her performance, as a new world-window appeared, giving out onto…
‘That’s… That’s not what I think it is, is it?’
‘I memorised this spell a while back without telling Brianna,’ she said excitedly. ‘Come on, I’ve fixed it so it’ll stay open for ten minutes. If it closes before we’re finished then we’re stuck out there. And I’m not going back until I’m finished.’
Men have done a lot of stupid things when tempted by a woman – hell, a lot of guys have gotten themselves killed over it.
But when you’re looking at a portal that gives out onto a railing looking over the Grand Canyon at night, such an offer is difficult to turn down.
I followed Scarlett through the portal and onto the ledge, feeling the humidity increase instantly as we headed through. Scarlett stopped at the railing and turning as I met her, jumping up onto it and wrapping her arms around me, drawing me in for another kiss. The drop behind her fell off instantly onto a vertical plummet that measured in the hundreds of yards, but in that moment neither of us cared.
‘Can I tell you something?’ She said, drawing away and again and looking up into my eyes.
‘Of course you can.’
‘What I said before about getting around in college… That’s… Not exactly true. I slept with this guy who I met in town one night and got that reputation so I… Just kind of ran with it. I was trying to reinvent myself from being the prudish girl, and when people started seeing me like that, I just thought… I thought it’d be cool to be seen like that.’
‘But you always seem like that’s what you want to do.’
‘It’s because I do… I have cravings that people wouldn’t believe… But I want it with the right person… And that’s you…’
Scarlett grabbed me by the shirt collar and kissed me again.
‘I want it rough with a person that I can trust… And I think I can trust you to give it to me how I want it.’
I wanted Scarlett more than ever, but we were challenging each other for the reigns. She pulled my coat back before I took off hers. We cared for each other, even after such a short amount of time, but this was different – a raw animal desire to have each other completely senselessly.
Scarlett near enough ripped off her t-shirt, I sliding up my hands to her bra and undoing it. She shrugged out of the blue lace that gripped her tanned skin, revealing her large, busty chest. I indulged in it as she leaned back over the drop of the railing, kissing and licking at her nipples as she buried my face in her chest, throwing her head back and giggling before pushing back towards me and turning, pulling down her jeans and bending over submissively before me.
‘I want it rough, and I want it hard,’ she said resolutely, brushing her hair to the side and turning to look over her shoulder at me with her piercing blue eyes.
I had thought that Brianna would be the most promiscuous of the witches, and maybe that would still be the case, but never did I think that any of them would be this dirty.
I guided my throbbing dick between Scarlett’s ass, running my h
ead down the smoothness of the curve as she arched her back, panting as I touched the head of my cock against the dripping wetness between her legs.
She let out a gasp as I slowly pushed into her, feeling her tight dripping walls clasp around me desirously as I filled her up inch by inch. Her back arched impossibly as I ran my hands over her tight ass, indulging in the feeling of her body.
‘Take me now,’ she moaned, ‘… Take me hard.’
I worked my hips quickly, initially worrying this sudden pace would be too much for her but if anything she wanted more. She shrieked out, throwing her head back, her hair whipping behind her head as she worked her hips in time with my own.
She pressed her body up against mine as I fucked her from behind, running my hands up her toned stomach and up to her perfect, bouncing breasts, squeezing them indulgently as I did everything that I could to hold myself back from the brink of exploding inside of her.
Scarlett turned her head to look me intensely in the eyes as I rode her roughly, grinding my length inside of her as we kissed passionately, our bodies becoming one as we disappeared into the pure, unrestrained pleasure of this one continuous moment.
I moved harder again, Scarlett leaning forward and clasping her hands around the railing as I took her hips in my hands, giving it to her exactly how she wanted.
‘I love it, master…’
My mind skipped entirely over the word ‘master’ and what the hell she meant by that as I gave myself over to the moment, taking her harder than ever.
Despite ignoring it entirely, I couldn’t help but remember to look over my shoulder at the portal back to the coven. We weren’t going back until Scarlett was finished, but I wanted it too – nothing else existed in my mind.
Except for the image of Brianna, standing in the basement beyond the threshold of the world-window, watching us.
I couldn’t help but slow for a second, wondering what the hell she was doing, how she would react… Until she pulled off that silk robe of hers, undoing the knot and throwing it to the ground, and sliding her hand down her navel and between her legs. Her red fingers slid beneath the black lace of her underwear, until her mouth fell open in a silent gasp as she touched herself.
She was getting herself off to the sight of me fucking Scarlett.
What the hell… was the only thought that I could process as I continued to slam into Beck’s tight walls, watching her round ass take me with every thrust as Brianna’s body shuddered, one hand in between her legs as her fingers moved in faster and faster circles, the other grabbing one of her large, heaving breasts tightly as she watched us intensely.
I had never experienced anything like this before. Scarlett didn’t have a clue that another witch from her coven was watching us right now… Would she even care?
But I didn’t wanna find out.
Every single part of the situation was too much for me – Brianna watching, Scarlett’s body pleasuring me as she took every inch of my cock, filling her up over and over again.
Scarlett pushed away from the railing, grinding her body against me as her she let out an uncontrollable scream, a flood of wet warmth covering my cock as she came around me. Feeling her body and hearing her pleasured, shrieking moans was completely beyond me. I came hard into her, filling her up as I finished inside her shaking body.
Our shaking bodies finally separated and I quickly looked over my shoulder as Scarlett turned to face me, but Brianna was nowhere to be seen.
Had I actually seen her? Or was she just some vacant hallucination in the dopamine-infused chaos of mine and Scarlett’s fucking?
Either way I didn’t have time think it over – Scarlett grabbed me again, kissing me passionately in her unashamed nakedness, the two of us completely exhausted.
‘Guess what,’ she whispered into my ear delicately.
‘Tell me.’
‘I think we’ve got about twenty seconds to get back through the portal.’
I had never moved so quickly in my life – wishing goodbye to the Grand Canyon for hosting mine and Scarlett’s fucking session, the two of us scrambled to snatch up our tossed clothes and sprinted half-naked back to the portal, jumping through it breathlessly and toppling to the floor for the second time that night.
A few seconds later it closed up as we pulled on our clothes, trying to stay quiet. I looked around for any sign of Brianna but she was nowhere to be seen.
After kissing Scarlett again on the upper landing of the house, I headed to my door and looked out towards her as she scampered quietly back to her own room, looking over her shoulder at me in a devilish way. Her clothes were creased and uneven, her hair messy in the sexiest of fashions, the strap of her bra hanging down over her shoulder – waving goodbye to me, she looked about the corridor to check the girls weren’t around and flashed me, pulling down her top and shaking her huge round boobs at me. Even if I was exhausted after another hard day of warlock-training, and even after I had just emptied myself into her, that sight still drove me crazy.
Scarlett disappeared around the corner and I headed into my room, bringing an end to the day’s training, but not to the myriad thoughts that jumped about in my mind.
The first thing was Brianna – what the hell had she been doing? True, seeing her pleasuring herself to the sight of me fucking Scarlett hard from behind, while Scarlett had no idea that it was happening, was by far the hottest thing that I had ever experienced in my life. But why had she done it in the first place? Was that just a part of being a succubus? Did the devilish personality come fixed to the whole package?
At the same time, though, I wondered about the relationship that the three girls had. They had already made a joke out of Lois and I and hadn’t taken it seriously, and seemed to have made it clear that they were comfortable with me being with more than one of them… But was that really the case?
And what happened with the secrets that were being kept? Would Scarlett tell the girls? Should I have told her about Brianna watching us?
Living with a sorority of witches had been a dream in its own right, but at the same time it brought on more problems than I could possibly keep track of.
I pulled off my clothes and hopped into the shower, embracing the darkness and the indulgent heat of the water enveloping me, and closed my eyes in an effort to relax.
Even after having set aside the thought of the girls (somehow) for a few moments, another thought came forcing its way into my head.
The Nine Circles. Dante had talked about it in the Inferno, this idea that there were nine sections of hell, all designated for different people depending on the crime that they had committed… But I could never have comprehended that they were real. It was a story that was centuries old…
The man who had attacked Lois and I was out there, and he was trying to open up a circle of hell for whatever reason. The girls would likely give me more insight in the morning when we had a chance to discuss the matter over breakfast, but still the concept preyed on my mind.
What the hell did he want to unleash? And more importantly how would we stop him?
Could we stop him?
Chapter Nine
I was supposed to be back at college the next day – when I stepped into the shower it was a little after 1am, and while not my latest night prior to early morning classes, it would still be a challenge to drag my ass out of bed in six hours. I would have breakfast with the girls, head to classes and get back to see them.
Fate, or chance, or whatever else set the wheels of the world in motion, of course, had another plan in store for me.
I still hadn’t decided how I was going to balance these newfound responsibilities with college – I was in my final year and intended on sticking it out, but with the revelation of this hidden world beneath the surface of what I had deemed to be reality, my priorities had really been shaken up.
But I wasn’t a quitter. Even if the world was in peril, I was still gonna finish what I had started.
Beneath the steaming water of
the shower head I reached that oh-so pleasurable zen point where time seems to stand still, and you can finally get some peace and quiet. I had already checked for any sign of Rel before I came in – I didn’t think that the fox-familiar was some kind of voyeur-creeper, but after my first meeting with him I couldn’t be too sure.
So when I heard another nearby clunk, I didn’t know what to think.
Quickly I opened my eyes, sliding the shower door back and looking about the bathroom in the near complete-darkness. No shapes moved, and nothing else made a further sound.
BOOM.
It had come from somewhere in the house. Drying myself off fast and stumbling out into my bedroom, I shouted out from behind the door.
‘Girls?! Is everything all right out there?’
No response. Only the resounding echo of that colossal sound.
Shit…
I pulled on my clothes and grabbed the short staff from beside my bed, and took a quick, readying breath as my heart pounded rapaciously in my chest before swinging the door wide with my weapon at the ready.
But there was nothing to fight – in fact there was nothing there at all.
I wasn’t standing on the upstairs landing of the coven, but on the chapped, dried dirt of a desert wasteland. The sky overhead was marred with clouds tinged with a toxic green color, a burst of lightning occasionally rushing through them soundlessly.
I turned to look back at where I had just emerged from, seeing my bedroom as a small building with the door closed, but when I returned to open it there was nothing; the doors fell from my hand, slipping off its hinges and tapering back before striking the ground. The walls followed suit, collapsing in on themselves to reveal nothing but a pile of splintered wood stacked messily.
‘This has to be dream…’ I said to myself quietly, shaking my head. ‘This isn’t real…’
‘It is a kind of dream, so to speak.’
I spun on my heel at the sound of the unfamiliar voice, finding myself face to face with none other than the Purple Man. He wasn’t joined by his worgs, but that didn’t mean that I saw him as any less of a threat.
