Little Red Riding Omega Page 3

by James Austen

They hastened home with the newborn infant to tell Little Red’s mother all that had befallen them; nor did they forget that night to thank Heaven fervently for having delivered Little Red and the infant from the jaws of death.

  Epilogue: Baby’s First Shift

And the beautiful babe they named Lowell, meaning young wolf. True to her word, the fairy made sure Red and the babe were safe from all the creatures of the forest, even those whom humans feared.

As the anniversary of Lowell’s birth approached, none of the men, nor the child’s grandmother, for she had since embraced that title, had a hint as to the babe’s true nature, so when the fairies came to visit, as they oft did, Little Red queried, “Is our beautiful babe a wolf or a human?”

“And this matters?” The fairy closest to him asked.

Little Red pondered this question for a long moment before replying, “It matters not.”

“And for you two, does this matter?” The fairy turned to the Huntsman and Wolf.

They both replied it mattered not, for all three of them loved the babe with the entirety of their being. Wolf or human or fairy, it was Lowell they cherished, and not which alpha helped create him.

The fairies conferred for many a minute as the triad stood with their babe playing with a rabbit at their feet, for the whole of the forest loved Lowell so.

“We have decided to bestow upon your child not only our favor, for it was already his, but also our blessings. Your child, son of the moon, will be able to walk among both humans and shifters as one of their own. He will hold a beauty and strength unlike any before him and will be blessed with many siblings.”

Each fairy, one after another, placed their hand upon the child’s head, adding their strength to the blessing.

The men stood, their hearts soaring at the news that their child was looked upon even more favorably than they had dared to dream.

When the last fairy added her strength, the sky turned a beautiful purple for but a second, and Little Red watched as his beautiful babe transformed into a wolf, followed by his Wolf. Then, to Red’s surprise, his Huntsman shifted into a wolf, and finally Little Red himself did, as well.

“This gift, my dear friends, the gift of walking in both worlds, we have bestowed upon your entire family, for you have demonstrated unconditional love. Although that kind of love in and of itself is a reward, this gift feels appropriate.”

And with that, the fairies flew away.

The wolves, now a pack of their own, ran off in the woods to frolic and play with their new little pup.

And they all lived happily ever after.

  THE OMEGAVERSE CLASSICS

As MPreg authors, we at Omegaverse Classics are always thinking about the world as it might have been—a world in which alphas and omegas fall in love and have babies and spend their lives together.

And how do these stories of love, of "once upon a time," of "happily ever after" become ingrained in our hearts and minds? Through the stories we are told as children. Through fairy tales. And through those classic stories we read in school.

We want our alphas and omegas to grow up in a world where these stories are available to them, too—so we are telling those stories anew!

Welcome to Omegaverse Classics, where you can find the stories you love...with an Mpreg twist.
