I feel a finger slip inside me, then another, and I grip down hard, right on the edge. I freeze, my whole body stiffening. He curls his finger and I am off; my head falls as my whole body shakes. Lips press on either side of my thighs. Okay, that was super sweet. Chase moves up my body and reaches into the nightstand, where I know he has condoms.
“I got the Mirena put in yesterday, so we don’t need it if you don’t want to use one. I’m clean.” He already knows that, but I wanted to tell him anyway.
“I’m clean too.” With that, he settles between my legs. He grips my leg, bringing it up until it’s resting on his back. “Ready?” he asks.
“Yeah.” My voice sounds breathless. He lays his forehead on mine, our eyes locked on each other as he presses inside me.
I wrap my arms around his back, my nails digging in as he settles all the way inside me. Chase kisses me, and I close my eyes and hang on as with each stroke he gets a little faster, a little harder. I tear my mouth from his and throw my head back. He takes that moment to kiss my neck.
“Chase!” I hiss. It’s a sensory overload.
His hands take hold of mine, bringing them above my head, and his strokes become deeper, stronger.
My eyes roll back in my head, and I’m shaking hard.
“Does my baby want to come?” he whispers in my ear, turning me on times ten.
I bite my lip, bearing down on him, and as I get closer and closer to my release, he drags his tongue up the side of my neck.
“Oh my,” I manage to get out, breathless.
“Hmm.” He stops moving, and my eyes fly open and I look at him. I was almost there.
“You didn’t answer me.” He smirks.
My eyes narrow on him for being so smug. “You going to make me suffer?” I put on my most pitiful face.
He snorts and kisses me. “I would never let my baby go without. But I want to hear the words.”
Oh yeah? Well, he is going to get that. “I want you to fuck me.” I smirk as his eyes darken at my words.
He slowly starts moving, hitting exactly the spot I need. I shiver and bury my face in his neck. He kisses my cheek sweetly, releases my hand, and snakes his hand between our bodies, his thumb on my clit.
“Whose pussy is this?” he asks, his voice deeper than usual.
“Yours.”
“That’s right.” He rubs my clit and I bite my lip so I don’t scream. I breathe in deeply, my face still buried in his neck.
He pulls back and looks down at me; then he cups my jaw and drags his hand until it rests over my heart. “Who does this belong to?”
“You.”
He smiles so beautifully l that I feel another part of my heart leave as he steals it.
He takes my hand, pressing it to his cheek. “This was yours the second I met you, my girl.”
I close my eyes as his words overwhelm me in the best way possible. He presses his forehead against mine. He holds my jaw, and his eyes never leave mine as we both get closer and closer to our release.
Together, we fall apart, but together I know we will be unbreakable. This is something I never imagined. I never thought, in a million years, that this would be my life.
But here it is, everything I dreamed of but thought would never happen, and it exceeds my expectations.
It’s perfect.
He’s perfect.
Hunter’s perfect.
Yeah, I’m a lucky bitch.
Chapter 8
Jessica
I wake up and look at Chase, who is already awake, running his fingers down my arms and sides. What a great way to wake up. “Good morning.” I smile at him and cuddle closer, resting my head on his chest.
“Good morning, my girl.” He kisses the top of my head, and I close my eyes and enjoy the feeling of him. That’s when Hunter starts crying from his bassinet. Chase slides out of bed and picks him up. I reach over onto the nightstand and fix him a bottle; then I turn on the TV. This is honestly probably one of the best parts of my morning, cuddling in bed with my boys.
“First we need a diaper change, don’t we, sweetheart?” I smile and take him from Hunter. He screams the whole time. “Someone is not happy today.” I give him his bottle, silencing his cries.
Chase chuckles and touches his chubby cheek. Hunter is becoming a chunk, and I love it. He loves his bottles, that’s for sure. I kiss the top of his head, rocking slightly from side to side.
“You’re beautiful.”
Chase’s face is soft as he looks at us. I lean over and kiss him. “Thank you.”
“So my mom has been chomping at the bit to see you and Hunter,” Chase informs me.
Chase has visited his mom, but Hunter and I have not gone with him. First it was because I wasn’t feeling up to it; then I just wasn’t ready because I had no clue what Chase and I really were.
“Do you want to go today?” I ask and his smile widens.
“I would love that. I will tell her.” He takes his phone off the nightstand, texting away.
To say I’m nervous would be an understatement, but I want to meet the woman who raised such a beautiful soul.
His mom lives in the next town over, which is around twenty minutes away. We are having dinner with them, and I will also be meeting his dad and brother.
We pull up outside a gate, Chase punches in the code, and we are let in. I’m not going to lie and say it’s not intimidating that they are extremely rich.
I was born with literally nothing. I had clothes that came from Goodwill—or I don’t even know where they came from. I am so glad that Hunter will have a better life. I will break my back if necessary to make sure it happens.
At the end of the driveway, we are met by a mansion. It looks like an old plantation house. Four huge columns dominate the porch, and the door is dark wood with a beautiful window. Through the window, I glimpse a huge chandelier hanging from the ceiling.
Chase helps me out and takes Hunter, and I pull the diaper bag over my shoulder.
Breathe, Jessica, you can do this.
It’s scary. I’m afraid that I won’t be seen as being good enough for their son. The front door opens and my heart stops.
Out comes a woman. She is absolutely beautiful, and I know she is Chase’s mom because he has her eyes and smile. I love her immediately just for that. She has long brown hair that reaches the middle of her back and kind eyes. She is dressed like us, in jeans and a pretty shirt.
As we walk up the short flight of steps, she doesn’t even acknowledge Chase and moves straight to me. “Oh wow, aren’t you absolutely beautiful!” She smiles widely and hugs me before I can even respond.
I close my eyes and bask in the feel of a motherly hug. Gosh, how I’ve missed having that my whole life.
She lets me go, still flashing that blinding smile. “I’m so glad to meet you.”
I smile. “I’m glad to finally meet you too!”
Her smile widens, reminding me so much of Chase. She turns her attention to him. “How’s my baby doing?” She hugs him.
“I’m good, Ma.”
Chase puts the baby carrier on the ground, and she lets him go in a split second, squealing. “I just can’t stand it anymore. My grandbaby.”
I laugh at her excitement; she is all but jumping up and down. She bends over and starts unbuckling his straps. Then she stops dead and looks at me. “Is it okay for me to hold him?”
I nod. “Yes, of course!”
Chase wraps his arm around my middle, pulling me into his side. His mother takes Hunter out of his seat, holding him in the crook of her arm. “Oh my god, he is so precious!” She has tears in her eyes.
She is so precious—I love her! Without thinking I walk over to hug her; then I wipe the tears from her face.
“Oh goodness, I’m a mess.” She laughs. “Wait until your dads see him.”
Wait, did she say dads?
I look at Chase in confusion, and his eyes widen. “Mom, do you want to take Hunter on in?” She nods, not taking
her eyes off the baby.
“I forgot to mention it. So my mom is in a relationship with two guys, and it’s been that way since before I was born. So technically I have two dads, and then there’s my mom.”
Well, I wasn’t expecting that at all.
“Ahh okay, I was confused at the whole ‘dads’ part.” I laugh and he smiles. He picks up the car seat, and we walk inside the house.
“What is your mom’s name?” I whisper.
“Katherine.”
She is sitting on the couch between two guys. They look up when we enter the room. Wow, can I say I know where Chase gets his amazing looks from?
They both get up and walk over to me. The taller of the two is slightly skinnier than the other. “Hi, you must be Jessica.” He extends his hand for me to shake.
I take it, smiling, “Yes I am, you are?” I ask.
“Ben.”
“Nice to meet you.”
Ben steps back and his other dad steps forward. “I’m Alex.”
I smile. “It’s nice to meet you.” Chase has gorgeous parents; the beauty genes run strong in this family, apparently. Chase’s dads are wearing wranglers, cowboy boots, and plaid shirts. I guess we have some cowboys here.
Hunter starts crying from the couch. I split from Chase and his dads and sit down next to his mom. “He’s probably hungry,” I tell her. I fix his bottle and give it to her. “Thank you for letting me do this. This means the world to me.” She leans back on the couch, and pure love is on her face as she looks down at Hunter. I love that he can bring such happiness to people’s lives. He is a blessing, that’s for sure.
The door opens and in comes someone I never expected. It’s Trey. He is a member of the Devils Souls MC, and he’s in a relationship with Vinny and Lani.
Wait, that makes so much sense now.
Trey’s eyes widen as he looks around the room, connecting the dots. I can see the resemblance between Chase and Trey; they have many of the same facial features.
“Hey, Jessica.” Trey walks over and gives me a side hug.
Chase looks confused. “You know Jessica?”
I nod. “Well, sort of. I work for the women’s shelter. I was the chef there, and I cook some of the dinners they have at the MC.”
“Where are Lani and Vin?” Katherine asks.
Trey smiles. “She hasn’t been feeling all that great, so Vin stayed home with her.”
Katherine’s eyes widen. “Oh no, is she okay?”
He nods. “She is fine, just has a cold or something.” He walks over to Chase and talks with their dads.
Hunter falls asleep, so Katherine sets the bottle down and snuggles him against her chest. “Ben, do you mind dragging out the bed?”
Uhh…
Ben walks down the hall and comes back with a bassinet, and Katherine sets Hunter inside it. I look at Chase, who has a huge grin on his face.
“Mom, what did you do?” He laughs.
She looks sheepish. “Well, I just got a few little things in case you guys ever need a babysitter.”
I laugh because she is so adorable. Ben looks down at her, and I can tell he is thinking the same thing.
“Is that why you were asking about diapers, formula, and bottles?” Chase asks.
I laugh even louder. I love her. I strive to be like her one day. She seems like such an amazing mom.
She just smiles sweetly, ignoring all of us. Then she gets off the couch and claps her hands together. “Food is ready, if you’re ready to eat.”
We all nod, and I lean over the bassinet to check on Hunter. Chase takes my hand, and we walk into the dining room. It’s huge; it could hold a lot more people. We sit down, and his mom sits at the head of the table. Ben and Alex sit on either side of her.
It floors me; this is why Chase is such an amazing guy. They have put her in the center of their world. The way they look at her is the way Chase looks at me. It makes me realize how incredibly blessed I am. I look at Trey, who I know has got the sweet gene. Every time I have seen him, he has been respectful.
My heart is full. I was so nervous, but already I feel like I have found my second home. I hope that his mother and I can become close. I would love to have a mother in my life, someone I could get my nails done with and go shopping with.
They pass the food around the table, and no one eats until everyone has been served.
“Hold hands,” Ben says and we all hold hands, bowing our heads, as Alex prays over the food. “Thank you, dear God, for the blessing bestowed upon us and for the new family members we have finally met.” At that, I tune out the rest, because it takes everything in me not to cry. That was so incredibly sweet. Chase lets my hand go and kisses the side of my head, rubbing my arm. He knows that it affected me.
Everyone starts digging into their food, making small talk. I stare at everyone with a smile on my face.
Once we’re all finished, I help Chase’s mom gather all the dishes. I stand next to the sink with her. “The food was delicious, Katherine.”
She smiles. “Thank you, sweetheart. I am so glad that I have finally met you.” I smile back.
“I knew you were going to be amazing because of Chase. He is amazing,” I say.
Her face softens. “I love my boys. I am not sure how I don’t have gray hair from all the trouble they’ve caused me.” She laughs under her breath. She hands me a plate to dry. “We put in a pool for the boys. I walked outside and Chase yelled, ‘Hi, Mom.’ I looked up just as my six-year-old baby jumped off the second story of the house into the deep end of the pool. I thought for sure I was having a heart attack!” she says dramatically.
She glares toward the living room as if Chase could see her. “He couldn’t even swim! I dropped the drinks and jumped into the pool. I pulled him out and he just smiled. Mom, did you see me fly?”
I hold my stomach because I’m laughing so hard. I can just see a little Chase doing something like that and not being fazed at all that he could have caused his mom to have a heart attack.
She tells me more stories about Chase and all the mean things he did growing up, and I love every single second of it.

Chase
I love hearing Jessica and my mom laughing from the kitchen. I knew they’d love each other. My dads are sitting on the couch in front of me, passing Hunter back and forth as they take turns holding him.
“Tell me, son,” Ben says, his face serious. He used to be a Navy SEAL too. Both of them were, and they served together.
“Jessica’s ex-boyfriend was a part of the cartel,” I say, “and they want to kill her because she was pregnant and tried to keep Hunter a secret to keep him safe.” His eyes darken as I continue telling the story. “They want Hunter most of all. They want to raise him in that life—that’s my guess. Lee is in jail, but she and Hunter have a bounty on their heads.”
Both of my dads are furious. Alex shifts Hunter protectively against his chest, and Ben leans forward and says, “You need me, you got me.” Alex nods.
Trey touches my shoulder. “You got the MC. She is an employee for one, but the brothers have your back no matter what.”
“Thank you, brother.”
Jessica walks into the living room and sits down beside me, kissing my cheek. “Want to see if your mom wants to babysit tonight?” For her to suggest a thing like that means she really likes my mom and dads. She trusts them, and I know that’s hard for her.
Mom walks into the living room and sits down between Alex and Ben. Alex hands her Hunter.
“So, Mom, you know you mentioned babysitting?”
Her hands shoot up, her eyes wide. “Yes,” she says hopefully, and I try to not to smile. “Would you like to babysit tonight?”
She hands Hunter to Ben and runs over screaming, “OH MY GOD WOULD I!” She tackles me and Jessica, and I laugh hard as she smothers both of us in kisses. She claps her chest. “You have made my life.”

Jessica
I wipe my tears.
His mom is so excited it’s contagious. I don’t want to leave Hunter, but she is so thrilled at the prospect of keeping him that I just can’t say no.
She takes both our hands and pulls us off the couch. “Come on, let me show you the stuff I got and see if I have everything!” She drags us out of the room, the dads laughing as they follow us.
She shows us a room with a crib, toys, clothes, a baby bath, and more. She probably has more baby stuff than I do. “Of course the crib will be used later, once he’s bigger,” she says. “He will sleep right by my bed.” She takes Hunter from the bassinet, cuddling him.
She is so precious.
“It looks like you have everything.” I smile. I love this. Both dads are hovering over Hunter and Katherine. They have that huge protective streak, just like Chase.
I’m nervous about leaving him, but I want Chase’s parents to have this moment. She went through all this trouble at the prospect of getting to babysit.
I show her how to make his bottle, then some other things she may need to know. She’s raised two kids, so she knows what to do—but this is different. He is my life.
I take him out of his bassinet, smothering his little cheeks with kisses. I have never left him overnight before. Even right after I gave birth to him, he never left me unless he was having a test and someone was with him.
I try not to cry as I hand him to Chase, who smothers him in kisses just like I did.
“Here you go.” Ben hands me a little handheld video baby monitor. “This is how you can keep an eye on him. Push these buttons to change the room.”
This literally means the world to me. Without thinking I hug Ben, closing my eyes. This a fatherly hug, something I have missed my whole life. Alex hugs me next, and it’s just like Ben’s hug. Chase doesn’t know how incredibly lucky he is to have this in his life.
