The leaders having ordered the fiend guards to attack once more launched an assault onwards to the fairy leaders as the battle began to take a new turn. Zyne and Myria seeing this, nodded as they rushed towards the fairy leaders battling against the elders whose auras were at the peak of Half-Step True Soul realm.

As they moved Zyne couldn’t help but glance at the location of the central palace room with a deep look in his eyes as he muttered, “The palace is empty, but that doesn’t mean one shouldn’t carry a layer of caution, be vigil human...”

Within the Central Palace Building, inside of the main hallway.

A calm and quiet scene in sharp contrast to its outside, the trinkets and objects belonging to the fairy clan of old emitted unique auras as they hovered above pillars at the side of the room’s hallway. However, although these halls seemed empty, it was merely a guise for what hid behind walls.

Gleaming red eyes belonging to fiends who had been specially trained in stealth, they each had the energies of a True Foundation realm peak expert and were connected into a strange formation that allows for a sharp increase in battle power. Their eyes continuously scanned across the empty hallways as though they were machines that needed no resting periods and felt no discomfort for doing such a tedious but essential task.

Soon, one of the eyes was about to do its routine scan of the area but eventually came across something strange. An odd scene, the door to the central palaces main room had abruptly opened by itself as it separated forming a water curtain.

Sensing this oddity, the hidden fiends instantly acted.

  Swish-swish-swish-swish-swish!

Instantly, a storm of blurry shades vanished and reformed around the doorway blocking off all paths inside of the room and outside. One of the fiends pushed a button causing the door to collapse entirely so that no one can lock themselves inside the room.

They carefully scanned the area with their fiendish senses leaving no stones unturned. After a moment of examining one of the fiends then looked at his comrade with a puzzled gaze, seeing this, the fiend responded by shaking his head from side to side.

With silence the fiends communicated by nodding their heads and shaking their heads to represent nothing unusual as the leading fiend sent a fiendish sense command to all after having decided, “Nothing unusual it was most probably a malfunction caused by ripples of energies coming from the outside, return to your posts!”

  Swish-swish-swish!

As quickly as they came, so did they vanish, returning to the darkness hidden within the walls of the empty hallway as they once more continued to their duties. While they did this, the door that was left opened one more reformed itself back to normal sealing all from the inside.

Within the room, there was only the central water sphere orb that floated a few meters off the ground. The chairs were empty as all elders had gone off to battle against the fairy army and escaped prisoners.

Soon, the figure of a red-haired youth soon materialized from nothingness as he calmly walked towards the central water sphere. His eyes gleaming in an excited light as he spoke to himself, “Yun’er, it seems we’ve gotten lucky, as all of the elders left without expecting anyone having the ability to sneak into their room.”

Jing Mingyun replied in a cautious tone, “Hmm. I find it odd, even if they couldn’t sense you, they wouldn’t normally be so careless as to leave after doing one inspection. After all, those fiends guarding on the outside aren’t weak as a few of them are at least mid-level and high-level warrior realm. The leader seemed to also be of the peak level warrior realm, which means the strength being shown outside is most likely only fraction of what remains hidden...”

“Interesting...” Feng Yu said as he also took on a layer of vigilance. Eventually, he arrived before the sphere of water and carefully inspected the revolving pearl at its. After scanning the environment one more time and checking with Jing Mingyun who gave the go ahead, he then moved his hand towards the pearl passing through the water sphere and gently placing his finger around the small pearl.

Upon firmly grasping the pearl within his hand, the scene within the room changed.

Ping! Following a resonant sound, the space shook as if it was about to break to pieces but quickly stabilized as a blue light covered the entirety of the room. In a short moment, the light faded receding back the glowing blue pearl as it now calmly floated in Feng Yu palms.

A nourishing energy covered his entire being instantly rejuvenating his body energies, as if it was waiting for a long time, the auras of his Dantian began to change as it grew more and more saturated because of the abundant life source energies.

“Such incredible amount of life energy! To think it was even capable of nourishing my already saturated cultivation base allowing it to consolidate further as it would naturally over time. Now I should be able to advance after tempering for about one week.” Feng Yu said in shock as he sensed the changes inside his Dantian. He then placed the pearl within his Storage ring and spoke to with a smile on his face Jing Mingyun, “Yun’er, it’s time to go we’ve got what you wanted!”

Jing Mingyun who looked like she couldn’t wait any longer spoke, with excitement and heartfelt gratitude, “Thank You Benefactor Yu, now that you’ve gotten this pearl, I will be able to walk the path I was destined...”

However, as they were conversing the scene within the room once more changed.

Buzz! An almost in audible buzzing sound was heard as a sizeable 8-meter shadow materialized from the darkness behind the large water fountain. It reformed into the shape of a fiend who wore spikey black armor covered his entire body, revealing only his two dark blue eyes.

“Well-well... what do we have here? Who would have thought that me staying silent for a while could give me such important information? If I have not mistaken, you are most likely the human who has caused the disturbance in the Gloomy Forest recently. Interesting, to go as far as to stage a prison break to steal the Life Source Orb....” The fiend said as he finished speaking the scene once more changed.

  Swish-swish-swish-swish!

All of the fiends from the outside halls instantly appeared within the room as they surrounded the stunned Feng Yu who stood at the center of the group looking at the fiend who appeared in shock.

“We greet the Dark Supreme Elder!” The hidden fiends said in unison as they looked at the towering figure with reverence, the large figure hearing this remained silent as he looked towards Feng Yu.

“Damn! It seems you were right Yun’er, we’ve been had! How do we get out of this one?” Feng Yu said as he quickly started to ponder how to escape this scene, Jing Mingyun also replied in a solemn tone, “I... I didn’t notice... his power is not of an ordinary scale, and what makes things worse is that he is a fiend who walks the shadow path... a truly troublesome high-class breed...”

The Dark Supreme Elder seeing Feng Yu’s expression mocked, “Oh... you’re still pondering how to escape? Hahaha! It is meaningless for nothing can escape my grasp...” As he said this, he lifted his hand causing the True Soul realm energies to shroud his palm which caused a gravitational pull to carry Feng Yu towards him like a helpless child.

Feng Yu feeling this grew more anxious as he pondered, “Damn! What to do? Think... there must be a way...” As he considered, beads of sweat fell from his head as he came up with millions of possibilities, but none of them were feasible, in the face of real power the weak will ultimately fall.

“Sigh....” Jing Mingyun seeing Feng Yu’s dire straits sighed in a remorse as she thought to herself, “Is it worth it? Must I have another pay for my sake, simply because of a debt?”

As she thought to herself, scenes of her childhood life flashed before her eyes, as the teachings of her mother resounded in her mind along with her own thoughts, “What’s lost is lost, why stay obsessed with the past? I may lose what I seek, but, it's better than having another pay for my sake... especially if that person is someone who unknowingly
became important to you...”

As Jing Mingyun said this, her sleeping body that laid within its cocoon started to pulsate like a beating heart. Soon, the hair started to partway completely revealing her now 16-year-old body once more to the world.

She floated within the space that was stored inside of the wristband worn by Feng Yu, as her aura began to rise at an alarming rate shielded from all on the outside world. Soon, her powers rose to the limits of Warrior realm, breaking through to the True Soul realm once more as it continued to climb higher and higher, eventually reaching the peak of 3 Cycle of True Foundation realm.

Instantly, her eyes opened revealing her divine silver eyes, that sparkled with intelligence, she seemed as if she could calculate all things within the heavens and earth and she divined a path for success within this desperate situation.

Complex streams of runic information flooded before her sight on top of a wheel that connected countless possibilities to one source, eventually, there was only one rune left that showed the scene of the Supreme Elder laughing with his eyes closed.

In that instant, Jing Mingyun tapped the rune causing her body vanished into the nothingness, fading away from the space of wristband as if she was never there, to begin with...

Back outside of the space of the wristband, Feng Yu was still in dire straits as he had now fallen into the clutches of the Dark Supreme Elder who mocked once he grabbed Feng Yu within his hand, “Human! You will rue the day you tried to make light of our Dark Palace! When I’m done with you, I will ensure that you will live a life seeking to die! Bahahaha!”

He laughed in an excited tone while habitually lifting his head and closing his eyes as if the situation was already under his control.

"Damn!" Feng Yu said as he saw this scene while a feeling he had long since forgotten since his previous life began to resurface, a sense of falling into utmost despair with no power to fight back or resist. He then began to curse himself for being so careless as this would never have happened under normal circumstances.

However, soon, the situation once more changed.

A divine beauty with long white hair that danced around her due to her overwhelming energies hovered in the air directly above the laughing Supreme Elder, her narrow but large silver eyes gleaming with a bright light that seems to be able to see through all things as she stretched her slender palms out and spoke in a resonant voice, “Eternal Fate Lock!”

Instantly, a huge circle filled with many runes formed, it surrounded the Supreme elder along with each of the hidden guards who were inside of the room. As a powerful Dao strand, spread out within the room, one that called upon a strange power to condense a semi-transparent lock around each of the fiends foreheads.

As this locked formed, to the fiends surprise they found that they could not use their cultivation bases as if they fell from heaven as mighty beings to become common low born sheep.

The supreme elder sensing his change had a dark expression as he yelled, “Damn! There was another, this technique... to think I’d let my guard down...”

However, as he cursed, he noticed something strange, “This aura... this this... draconic aura? How can a dragon still be in this realm?” He exclaimed with shock as he looked at the beautiful girl who floated above his form, she waved her hand causing a strange force to pull the stunned Feng Yu towards her grasp as she struck out her palms once more towards the group.

“Eternity Seal Combustion!” As she said this, streams of blood fell down her lips as her already white skin grew paler, taking on a severely sick and weakened condition.

Feng Yu seeing her like this soon recovered from his shock as a feeling anger soon came over his soul, “If she does this... darn! How could I let this happen?”

The locks on the bodies of the guards upon feeling the change of the Dao technique used by Jing Mingyun started to glow in bright white lights as they illuminated the dark room.

The fiends seeing this became filled with fear as the Supreme Elder tried his hardest to gather his True Soul Energy to resist, not to his surprise, his energy began to reform but at a slow rate, a pity it was not fat enough to avoid their eventual fates.

BOOOOM! A massive explosion soon followed, which destroyed the entire Central Palace Room eradicating all lives who were inside as a white barrier had formed around Feng Yu and sickly pale Jing Mingyun shielding them from its might.

Feng Yu now held the sickly pale Jing Mingyun with a look of regret in his eyes as he spoke, “Did you have to do this?” Jing Mingyun hearing his words smiled as she shook her head and struggled to look into his eyes before responded, “Y...e...s... I... had... to....”

Her words trailing away as her consciousness faded, while Feng Yu tightly grip her back with his eyes gleaming in a sharp light, “I failed to do my mission... now it seems, I will forever be in your debt...”

As the ball of light surrounded Feng Yu and unconscious Jing Mingyun the energies of pure white engulfing the others, vaporizing all who was on the scene, or so it seemed...

The battle outside was at its peak, as terrifying booms echoed throughout the palace walls. Expert fiends swarmed towards the place in bulk as from distant guarding stations appearing through the strange water drop transference method as they fell from the clouds landing into the palace grounds.

Their numbers grew endlessly, as the allied prisoner’s army and fairy elites were becoming more and more pressured as time passed by.

One of the fairy leaders seeing this could help but lash out at the figure of Zyne who was battling close by sending him a mental message, “Brute, how long must we wait it is time for that human’s return? If Kefalas returns, we will be in big trouble!”

“Relax, they should be fine! If worse comes to worse, I’ll just have to use what’s left of my last ‘Dao Truths’ to see us a path out...” Zyne said with a rarely see solemn face despite his casual talk.

Myria hearing his words also remained silent as she thought to herself, “It seems that there’s more to that human than meets the eye, I didn’t have the chance to pay attention before due to my thoughts on escaping this place... but I’ll have to scan his life root once we leave here...”

The elders seeing that the battle that was once disadvantageous was growing more and more to their favor laughed as they taunted, “Hahaha! Just you wait, you rebels, and fairies will be dealt with in the most brutal means imaginable!”

As the elder finished his words, his Half-Step True Foundation energies rippled as he struck towards Zyne with all of his power. Zyne seeing snorted as he spun his battle hammer smashing it into his side causing him to turn into a beam of light that crashed into the palace walls.

“Hmph! Just because I’m weakened doesn’t mean that any small fry can challenge me in direct combat...” As he said this, he was about to attack once more, but there was a change.

Bannnggg! A massive bang resounded throughout the area as the central palace went out with a boom, a bright white light expanding outwards as it annihilated all things within sight.

Sensing this Zyne became solemn as he yelled to the army, “Everyone retreat!” He and Myria also looked at each other and nodded as they moved before the expanding light.

“Everyone, gather at me! Don’t get caught in the light!” As she said this, all of the fairies in the surrounding area swarmed toward her as their core. The escaped prisoners also flocked towards who stood as a towering giant above many despite his small body size.

“Bright Hammer Shield!” He yelled as the block of the hammer expanded once more to massive heights shielded the entire army from the blast that came from the central building.

The elder fiends who saw this also gave a similar command upon notice the explosion, “All Palace guards fall back away from the central grounds, don’t get caught in that light!”

  Swish-swish-swish-swish!

Like beams of light, they beamed across the vast palace grounds appearing a distance away from the central f
ield, standing on top of building as they looked at the scene before their eyes.

“What the hell is going on?! What happened to the central room, should the Dark Supreme Elder be taking personal command?” One of the elders asked in confusion as he noticed the scene before his eyes.

“It doesn’t matter what it is, he won’t be killed so easily, now’s our chance to surround the enemies quickly form up and block off their exits!” Another elder said as he noticed the scene of Zyne and Myria protecting the fairy and prisoner’s army.

The elder fiend seeing this sneered, “Humph! Huddling together like animals, hahaha! All you’ve done is allowed our troops to place you in an inescapable net finally! Quickly form up around I do not want even a fly to break free!”

“Yes, sir!” The guards said as they promptly surrounding the now closely huddled group, looking like a lone island surrounded by a vast ocean filled with fiends. However, what remained odd was that the expression of the now trapped fairies and Zyne were that of a calm smile as they calmly looked at the red-haired individual who materialized out of nothingness.

“Eh? Who’s that? Human” One of the elders asked in surprise as he suddenly noticed the appearance of the two figures.

“Wait, could it be that human? The one from the Gloomy Forest, the red hair matched the description. But if that’s so, how could this human get inside of these palace walls?” As the elder was lost in his own thoughts about Feng Yu’s sudden appearance, there was a new change.

The light that covered the central room faded, revealing the destroyed mess of what was once the strategic command center for all of the Dark Palace. A large dark energy ball was soon noticed at the center of this room, with cracks over its surface, soon this ball fell to pieces revealing the severely injured Dark Supreme Elder who looked at the red-haired human and white-haired human-like beauty in anger.
