Recipes Don’t Make Cookies
“Ten birds are on a wire. Three decide to fly away. How many birds are still on the wire? Ten.”Warren Rustand
I love this quote from Warren, one of the wisest men I know. He’s right. Deciding to do something isn’t enough. We must actually do it, not just think about it.
I know this cookbook of communication and conflict resolution recipes works if you will!
According to Thomas Edison, “Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is to always try just one more time.” I hope you always try to diplomatically disarm difficult people, and that you never give up your commitment to treat people with kindness.
John Ruskin noted something similar when he observed, “When love and skill go together, expect a masterpiece.”
Hope you will choose to use your new Tongue Fu!® skills on a daily basis. If you do, you can become a master of peace … and everyone, including you, will benefit.
WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU
“The purpose of life isn’t to be happy. It’s to matter; to feel it’s made some difference you have lived at all.” – Leo Rosten
As you can tell, I love to illustrate points with real-life examples.
