“Go ahead, baby. Give me your release.” Noel gave Kian’s balls a squeeze. That triggered Kian’s orgasm. With a whimper, Kian came, crying out as he erupted all over Noel’s hand.
Noel thrust inside his mate several times. His head reeled. The room fell away, and finally the pressure inside him broke. Growling, he came hard and fast, emptying his load inside Kian’s ass. Satiated, he gave Kian’s ass a playful squeeze.
They collapsed on the bed. Noel reached for his mate, who happily settled into his arms. Oh, they were far from done. Noel intended to go a few more rounds tonight. For now, though, he was content to bask in the moment of bliss.
“Today was wonderful,” Kian told him. “I want to have more days like this.”
“You will.” Noel kissed the nape of Kian’s neck and hugged him tighter. “Sooner or later, the darkness will pass and we’ll all be able to live out the rest of our lives in peace.”
“We need to survive the hard part first.”
“Oh, I’m not worried. I have a caring mate beside me, an adorable cub, and my entire pack to back me up.”
Kian turned so they now faced each other. His mate seemed to search for something in his eyes and finding it, nodded in satisfaction.
“Do I pass?” Noel asked, unable to keep the amusement out of his voice.
“Of course.” Kian snorted. “My Alpha’s the best.” His face grew unexpectedly soft, vulnerable. “Sometimes, I’m terrified.”
“I’m here. I’ll always be here.”
Kian let out a sniff. “I’m scared of how much I love you.”
Startled, Noel recovered swiftly and gave Kian a kiss before his mate grew embarrassed. “You only figured that out now?” Noel demanded after. “I’ve known since the first time we met.”
“You did?” Kian looked stumped. Then his mate blushed. “Then can I hear the words?”
“What? Do I love you? I’ll say them as many times as you need, silly pet.” Noel tipped Kian’s chin back, keeping their gazes locked. “I fucking love you.”
Kian squirmed. “You’re being cheesy.”
“Whose fault is that?” Noel began stroking his back.
Kian relaxed in his arms, letting out a happy mewl more feline than wolf. The future seemed uncertain, but Noel believed Allie was still out there, alive and providing comfort to others.
Soon, he’d save his sister. With powerful allies backing them up, Noel would be merciless in wiping these human monsters from this earth. He thought about the future Kian told him about.
Days ago, Noel wouldn’t have imagined being happily mated and having a family. He had a lot to lose now, but both Kian and Ariel also made him stronger. Noel couldn’t wait to turn Kian’s dream into a reality.
