We skipped the search for heels, or her mum wouldn't have enough time to help her with her hair and makeup. I had to put up with some very strong puppy eyes though.

Far too soon it was 4.30pm, the limo had arrived and we were on our way.

  Chapter 14

Vee was starting to stress again. “Vee, can you tell me what you have organised and I want you to think during this rehearsal what we would like to change when we do it for real.”

“Rehearsal? Oh yeah. Well, we have the elopement package. I have already scanned and emailed our documents to the wedding coordinator. When we arrive we give her the originals, she will pass them back at the end. The package includes the limo that we are now in. Flowers that are decorating the venue. The venue is called Glass Gardens at the Chapel of the Flowers. It has an inside-outside feel that I thought would suit our elven heritage. There will be a bouquet of pink roses for me to hold. I think that is about all that is included.”

“What type of ceremony is it? Are we being married by Elvis?” I asked.

“No. Although that is possible for the real one if you prefer. I went with traditional. You will be at the front, there will be the wedding march and my father will walk me down the aisle and hand me to you.”

“Vee, do we do our own vows?”

“Of course. I hope you have been working on it hard. Mine is 3 pages long.”

For a minute there, I thought she was serious. She tried to maintain a serious face but just couldn't hold it. “Veeeeee?”

“I'm sorry, I couldn't resist. Traditional vows omitting the obey bit. Can you believe some women still say that.”

“I can believe that you might like me to say that, you dominant woman.”

“Maybe for the real one, eh?”

“No.” Changing the subject. “I didn't think we were supposed to travel together.”

“This is the elopement package. During an elopement, you run to church together. They will even provide witnesses if required. Oh, they also do photographs. I think it comes with about 10 stills. You can do lots of extras, but for a rehearsal, I didn't think we would bother.”

  “Vee.”

She turned to me. “Yes,” she said.

“It sounds perfect.” We smiled at each other.

We arrived with plenty of time. I think that was planned. No one complains about being early. Being late can cause all sorts of problems. We sorted out the paperwork and signed where we were supposed to sign. I think we were legally married at that point, the ceremony was just to make it seem official. They were trying to take their time, but really we could tell that we were waiting for the 4pm service to finish and vacate.

Finally, we were separated. I was led to the altar and Vee's mother was sat in the front row. The wedding march began and Vee was led down the aisle by her father. She did the full slow step to wring out as much drama as she could, then again she was studying drama. My eyes stayed glued to hers throughout. Her father passed her hand to me and then sat down next to his wife.

The ordained minister was a woman in her 40's and dressed in a church robe. I have no idea what denomination. The point was she was legally allowed to perform the service. She had a beautiful clear voice and luckily kept the proceedings to a minimum. I don't remember her words just the repeat after me and then, like a parrot, I said what I was supposed to, put the ring on when I was supposed to. As much as we pretended otherwise, this was still a big deal to us and both our hands were shaking. Then Vee had to do the same. I liked the ending. You may kiss the bride. So I did. With prejudice.

There was a photographer. I only know that because we received photographic evidence. I think I was in a bit of a bemused state. I felt like I needed a pinch to remind myself that it was real. I was married to the most beautiful woman, my woman, Vee. Then, like a switch had been flicked, everything became normal.

We were urged out of the chapel and we all went out to dinner. The end was a bit of a letdown. So I murmured to Vee. “For the real one, I want a better reception and I want it to last a lot longer.”

She murmured back. “I don't think we set the bar too high with this. I am fairly confident we will do better next time.”

The fact that is was done and over, with relatively little fanfare, left us all a bit shocked. I think it was going to take a while for it to sink in. “What do we do next?” I asked.

“We are in Vegas, I think we can find something to do. I fancy one of those Cirque du Soleil shows,” Sue suggested.

Everyone else was yawning, the time zones were catching up with us. “Maybe tomorrow, I think I need to get my wife back to our hotel room so that we can sleep together.” I was trying to be funny, but I think my audience was too tired to appreciate my humour, or maybe that wasn't best said to her parents. We took a cab back to the hotel and headed to bed. We contemplated using the VDR headset, but were too tired and just cuddled and fell asleep.

When I woke up the next morning I noticed that Vee was already up sitting at the desk in a dressing gown working on her computer.

“Morning Vee, or should I say, morning wife.”

“Morning honey.” She said a bit distractedly.

  “What's up, sweetie?”

“Umm, oh. We received an email from Scott, he has arranged a meeting for tonight in LA. The VDR company have already booked our flights for 3pm, so we are supposed to leave a little after lunch.”

  “And?” I asked her.

“Well, I didn't want to go yet. My parents are here, you are here. I thought we could spend some time together exploring Las Vegas. There is so much that I want to see.” There was a bit of a whine in her voice, but not true displeasure.

“Has he explained what is so urgent. I mean I wasn't expecting to hear from them for a while, but they seem to be pushing a meeting as quickly as possible.”

“Sort of. I mean he doesn't know why, but that they think it is urgent and have hinted strongly that it will be very financially rewarding. He has put his own opinion that something is going on and he thinks we should be there, but to not speak to anyone without his presence. They have quizzed him thoroughly on our story and he even sent them the recording minus any details that were not relevant to their game and our experiences,” Vee explained.

“How long a flight is it? I mean, could we take the red-eye back here tonight, if need be?” I asked her.

“It is only a short flight. I see where you are coming from. We can spend the morning together with my parents, have lunch, then we fly off for the meeting, mum and dad can stay here and watch a show. We could see them again tomorrow morning. Yes. That could work. Do you have any worries about this meeting?” She looked at me to see my reaction.

“Yes, actually. I am worried about our VDR headsets. If they took them off us, we would lose Myra and the possibility of helping other transgender individuals.” I had no idea how any of this had happened, but I could see an opportunity to help a lot of people. Not only that I was getting very attached to Myra. I know, in theory, she is only a combination of computer-generated suggestions and my mind thought interpretations, but I couldn't think of her that way. To me she was real and I was spending more time in game than out of it with her behaving like a real mother would.

“Andi, you may have a point. Either we don't bring them or we get assurances that they are not going to take them off us. I will write Scott an email.” Vee wrote the email and then we checked over each other's bodies to see if there were any changes.

We needed to buy a camera today to monitor the changes until a better method had been worked out. I felt Vee's body was even curvier and the green in her eyes was stronger. My eyes were more lavender than brown now. Other than that, I didn't notice any obvious signs. I hadn't had an erection in a couple of days now and considering Vee had snuggled up to me naked, that was surprising.

We phoned her parents and all met for breakfast. We explained about the meeting and what we had decided to do about it. They assured us that we didn't need to rush b
ack. They hadn't had a spontaneous vacation before and were loving it. There was plenty to do in Las Vegas and they could come to LA and see the sights there as well if we needed to stay. I have to say they were good people. You could really see that they cared for one another and Vee tremendously.

We had to do a bit of shopping again, Vee needed a different sized bra. Originally she was a B cup and I have no idea what size Kara was but it was considerably bigger. Clearly, she was growing, but if she was going to match Kara, she had a long way to go yet. I was disappointed that I was not showing nearly as much change. After measurement, Vee found she is now a C cup. That is quite a lot of change for such a short period. No evidence of stretch marks luckily.

The hotel has a jacuzzi available for guests, so we bought me some swimming shorts and, because I didn't feel comfortable having nothing covering my chest, we found a short sleeve rash vest. Vee had to find a new bikini since her old one didn't fit any more. Vee checked her emails and found a reply by Scott. He had received assurances that they would not take our headsets off us without our permission. He said he had already checked out the legal aspect and they had no right to do so. Then we repacked our bags and relaxed in the spa until we had to get ready for lunch. We checked out and left our baggage to pick up at the front desk.

We met her parents and all wandered down the strip choosing a restaurant that was busy. We figured, if everyone else was going there, it must be good. The food was pretty tasty. Vee had found out the hard way that meat was off her menu now, so we had to stick with vegetarian. We picked up a cab to take us to the airport via the hotel to get our bags.

  We were off to LA.

  Chapter 15

The flight was a quick hop really. We spent more time waiting and boarding than flying. When we arrived in LA we gathered our bags and were met by a large driver who was holding up our name on a placard. We were taken to a large tower building that had VDR entertainment written large. We left most of our luggage at the reception but carried our headsets with us. I didn't want them to leave our sight.

We were a little early for the scheduled meeting but the receptionist said they would try and move it forward. There was a lovely lounge with a cafetière and biscuits for us to wait in. The seats were a series of leather sofas. We relaxed and chatted, not too concerned. Scott met us there and was his usual business self. Then we were led to a large meeting room. There were about 10 people on one side of the room and just us three on the other.

The man who was clearly in charge was a tall, heavy without being fat, man in his 40's, I would guess. He had dark hair that was greying mainly above each ear, piercing blue eyes and appeared strongly confident. He waited for us to sit down before proceeding.

“I don't want to waste time here, we have a lot to discuss. I can't talk too much without my lawyer getting upset with me until we get over 2 hurdles. The first is, we need proof and the second is irrelevant if this is a wild goose chase. Let me understand this correctly, you believe the VDR headset has changed your body image?”

  “Yes,” I replied.

“So it doesn't matter which headset or which game you use, you will appear in the game, completely different to how you look now?”

“I haven't tried a different headset, but I tried a different game and that was the same. I don't think the headset would matter, would it?”

“Not if what you have told us is correct. We have developed a new game, designed for couples and groups. Would it be acceptable for 8 of us to spend a day there, 15 minutes real time, that way we should have enough evidence to confirm your statements.”

“By all means,” Vee said, holding my hand and agreeing for me. I could have been irritated that she had decided for me, but I wasn't. I was a little bit turned on by her dominating stance. The man wasn't being unpleasant, but he was behaving very cautiously. “Tell us about this new game. I think Andi would be upset if she finds herself chased by men again, and I would need to be one of the 8.” She said firmly.

The man smiled. “It is called 'Holiday'. We haven't released it yet because we are still adding destinations. Essentially, you choose the type of holiday and the location, then you wake up in a first-class seat of an airplane that has just landed. The holiday is all inclusive and very luxurious. Spa treatments, dinner entertainments are all included. There are adventure type holidays where you do hiking, white water rafting, safari and so on. Since we are only going there to confirm your statements, I would suggest you choose the relaxing type and whatever destination you fancy.”

  “I choose?”

“Yes. There always has to be a lead headset that all the others are connected to. I figured it would be best if you were in control of that, which also gives the options to start the game.”

His lawyer passed over a document for Scott to read. Then the man gestured and led Vee and me along with himself and 5 others to another lounge that had these comfortable looking reclined padded chairs with a headset. We left our personal headsets with Scott. Everyone settled themselves. I got Vee to check that I had set the automatic log off for one day game time, 15 minutes real time.

I went through the options choosing a relaxing holiday, Koh Samui, Thailand. When I woke up I was strapped to a seat in an airplane. The captain was announcing our arrival and the local time, which was first thing in the morning. The plane was just coming to a halt and the seat belt sign was immediately turned off. I looked around, Vee was sitting next to me now looking like Kara and I was back to normal. I could see the only other passengers on the plane, the VDR representatives, all staring at Vee and me.

“Well, I'll be blown.” The man in charge said. “I hoped...” he stopped himself. We all undid our seatbelts and stood up. “Clearly, proof provided. Evidence accepted. We have lots to discuss, but we can't do it here. The way this works is we go to the information desk and choose our resort. At the moment there are only 2 resorts. My lawyer has told me point blank that we are not to discuss anything without him. You choose whichever one you like, enjoy your day and we will go to the other one.”

We all trooped off the plane. There were no other passengers and we went through security with barely a wave. Vee and I approached the information desk first while the other party hung back. We were given pictures of the two resorts and we chose 'The Imperial'. Immediately, we were escorted to a waiting car that took us to the resort. I asked about our luggage and was told it was being taken separately to our suite and unpacked for us.

When we arrived we were taken on a tour of the hotel and then taken to our hotel room. I say room, but it was more like an apartment. There was the bedroom, of course, with a kingsize bed, that led to a balcony that had a jacuzzi bath for two already filled with hot water and covered in petals. A beautiful view of the sea and if you walked to the edge and looked down you could see the swimming pool and beyond that the private beach. The apartment also had a lounge with a large TV and a selection of movies, all of which I had seen before. There was another room on the other side of the lounge that contained a room full of clothes.

Once we were left alone, we had a shower to freshen up, then got distracted and had to have another shower to get clean. We went to the beach and practised Taigoa. We had coconut water and watermelon smoothies and lazed in the sun. Had beautiful meals, enjoyed massage treatments in the spa and many hours in the bedroom. It was close to a perfect day. During dinner, these Thai girls dressed in traditional costumes and danced amongst us. We drifted off to sleep that night knowing that we would be buying this game as soon as it was available.

When I woke up to the black and felt the wrongness of my body, the sadness overwhelmed me again and I couldn't keep from crying. Kind hands removed my headset and I felt Vee cuddle me and stroke me.

“I'm sorry Vee.” I choked out.

“Shhh. That's alright, darling. I've got you. Everything is going to be alright.”

When I had calmed enough to let go of her, I noticed that we were surrounded.

  “Is she
always like this when she returns?” The man in charge asked.

“Yes. It was worse when we were in the game for a week.”

He was about to say something, but another guy nudged him. “Oh. Yeah. Let's go back to the meeting room.”

We sat back around the table. He took the pile of papers in front of Scott and a pen and made an alteration, signed it and passed it back. “I want to talk frankly, but my lawyer is worried that you are going to sue us and therefore I have to be very careful what I say. That is not going to work and this is too important to get wrong. What we have passed to Scott is a settlement. We admit to no wrongdoing etc. etc. but out of the goodness of our heart etc. etc.. Basically if you sign that, you cannot sue us, or hold us accountable. Included in that is also a non-disclosure agreement. We need to discuss trade secrets and we don't want our competitors to know what we are going to tell you. In compensation, the company is willing to pay you 4 million dollars in company shares and 1 million dollars directly wired to your account. That is for Andi.” He tapped the second pile of documents. “We need you to sign a set of similar documents Veronica. Your compensation is set at 50,000 dollars. If you are both willing to sign, then we can start talking freely. We are going to leave you to your lawyer and return in," he looked at his watch, "is half an hour enough time?”
