I grin. “I’ll get on the pill. Or get the shot. Something. Then we can have sex without condoms without worrying about it. Because I like your dick bare, Asher. Bare and hot and deep in my pussy.”

He lifts a shocked gaze to my face, making me grateful for the porch light at the back of Laura’s house.

I laugh. “Come on, baby.” I arch a brow. “You know you like it when I talk dirty.”

“Oh, I do,” he says. “I love it. I’m just a little afraid I’ve created a monster.”

“You didn’t create anything,” I say, sensing this part is important, even though we’re just flirting. “I am who I am, and I like what I like. And there’s nothing wrong with any of that. Or with talking dirty to each other as long as we both know it’s just for fun, because it turns us on.”

Asher tips his head back. “How did I get so lucky, do you think? Maybe I was a saint in my last life?”

“No, I think you were a sinner,” I say, leaning down to press my lips to his. “But you’re my sinner. And as far as I’m concerned, you’re perfect. At least for me.”

  And he is.

That night and every night after.

  Epilogue Two

  Asher

  Four years later…

Grooms aren’t supposed to freak out on their wedding day.

  That’s the bride’s job.

But Emma is chilling by our private pool at the Caribbean resort where we’re getting married on the beach tonight, reading a book, relaxed as you please, while I’m having a mental breakdown wondering where the hell my brother’s gotten off to.

And what he’s done with Laura…

“I’m just going to head up to the main pool,” I say, tossing my own book on the table between our lounge chairs. “See if Jackson’s up there.”

“He’s not. I think he and Laura went for a hike in the jungle.”

I curse beneath my breath and Emma laughs. “It’s not funny,” I insist. “They hate each other. You know that.”

“They used to hate each other,” she says, her gaze still fixed on her book. “Now they seem to like each other—very much if the sounds I heard coming from their cabana last night are any indication.”

“Gross,” I say, swiping a hand across my sweating forehead.

Emma laughs again and swats me with her paperback. “Stop. Since when are you a prude?”

“Since I’m worried that my brother’s going to kill Laura and end up in jail and then Laura will be dead and it will be my fault and you’ll never forgive me.”

Emma leans forward, tilting her head until she catches my eyes. “You’re being crazy. Jackson would never hurt Laura.”

“Not physically,” I mutter. “But something is up with them. Something…twisted. What if he breaks Laura’s heart?”

“Then Laura will pick herself up and move on,” Emma says. “I’m not worried about Laura. She’s strong and she knows how to handle herself. Besides, I’ve never understood why she and Jackson were feuding in the first place.”

“Something stupid that happened our freshman year, I think. I honestly don’t know, either. Jackson blows me off every time I ask.”

Emma leans in, pressing a kiss to my cheek. “See, it’s all a case much ado about nothing. They’ll be just fine together. Or they won’t, and they’ll still be fine apart. And we’ll be even better.”

I turn my head, brushing my lips across hers. “You’re a very grounded woman.”

“Yeah, I am. It’s easy when you come as often as I do. It leaves very little energy left for stressing out.”

I smile against her lips. “Then why am I stressing? I come as often as you do.”

She hums beneath her breath. “Clearly, you need to come some more. Should we have another swim lesson? I need work on my breaststroke.”

“No, I should work on mine.” I cup her breasts in my hands.

  “Yes, you really should.”

Ten minutes later, Emma and I are having sex by the pool—again. I come with her on top of me, her shorter hair wild around her shoulders, but her cheeks flushed the same pink as the first time we made love.

I thought I couldn’t adore her any more than I did that first summer, but now I know that my love for her never stops growing. We’ve both changed so much since those early days, but at our core we’re still the same people who found each other in the nick of time.

She’s still my dirty girl, but she’s also my best friend, my rock, and the only person I want to spend the rest of my life with.

And she’s right—everything is going to be fine, even if Laura and Jackson decide to start a knife fight at the reception.

Still, when my brother and Laura return from their “hike” looking like they’re going to fight—or fuck—to the death, I can’t resist arching a brow Emma’s way.

She winks and whispers, “Just you wait and see. Those two are going to fall madly in love, I can just feel it.”

“You want to place any bets on that?” I whisper back.

She nods. “Yes, I do. Two hundred dollars they’re engaged before Christmas.”

“Six months from now?” I snort. “I’ll take those odds, Carpenter.”

“Hansen, please,” she says as we shake on it. “I’m practicing responding to my new last name.”

I gather her into my arms, pulling her into my lap on the lounge chair. “I like the sound of that, Mrs. Hansen.”

“And I love you, Mr. Hansen. Forever and ever.”

We’re married on the beach at sunset in front of a handful of our nearest and dearest college friends and then dance until the sun comes up, falling into bed just as the tropical birds are welcoming the morning.

And then, even though we’re both exhausted, we make dirty, filthy love to each other before collapsing in the rumpled sheets.

  Because that’s who we are.

We’re perverts with big hearts, and I hope we never change. Not even when we’re old and gray and too arthritic to get as acrobatic in the bedroom as we do now.

I tell Emma as much as we’re drifting off, and she murmurs in a sleepy voice, “Don’t worry. We’ll take up yoga, baby. Stay nice and flexible even when we’re old.”

“Brilliant,” I say, hugging her close. “You’re the smartest person I know.”

“And your cock is magic,” she says with a yawn. “But now we must sleep.”

“And then wake up and do it again,” I say.

  “Yes,” she whispers. “We will.”

  And we do.
