"Am I that handsome that you can't even get your eyes off me?" He asked, revealing his white teeth. She felt embarrassed and covered her eyes with her hands. He moved closer and kissed them, then slowly got her to remove them, leaving her lips vulnerable. She bit her lips in expectation, but he kissed her forehead instead. She frowned.
"Don't tell you're disappointed," he said.
"I'll never get used to your arrogance," she said and bit him on his huge arms.
"Arghh," he screamed, and he started to tickle her till she begged. Then he paused and took her face in his hands,
"Let's get married..."
"And if this would help in any way, Susan is not my real mother."
The music on the radio played loudly. Jake sang along, screaming at the top of his lungs. It was his favorite song. Katherine stared at him and smiled. It was summer; the best summer of her life. After all, she had been through; she didn't know she could ever be this happy. The past year had been filled with so many activities and drama. It was a new year. Not just that, it was everything new for her. A new man, a new home, a new show and even... she stared down at her stomach and placed her right hand on it — a new life. She couldn't have asked for more, and it was because of him.
She locked her hands in his, showing off her engagement ring. Then she joined him to sing along, also screaming the lyrics of the song loudly,
