Tandem Unit Page 21

“Stop looking at me like that,” she scolded, trying not to grin. “Can I help it if I just feel good? Anyway, it's not me you should be worried about. What about Blake's arm?” She twisted a little and half sat up in bed so that she could see the appendage in question. Blakely grinned and flexed the right arm which was completely free of any red lines or swelling, making an impressive muscle for her to feel before she collapsed on his chest in a fit of giggles.

“What's gotten into her?” she heard him ask as he pulled her close and pressed a tender kiss in her messy hair.

“I think … I think she's a little bit drunk. Maybe from the bond. It was pretty intense, you know?”

“Mmm, ya don't haveta remind me,” Blakely rumbled. “Never came so hard in my life.”

“Me either,” Holt admitted, leaning down to kiss the bare nape of Sadie's neck, making her giggle and squirm again.

“That makes three of us.” Sadie rolled over so she could look at them both. She could feel the solid weight of Blakely in her mind and the shining thread that was Holt's consciousness as well. Through the Life-bond, a thick, unbreakable cable that bound them all together, she could feel the way she seemed to them as well, soft and beautiful and sweet as a single drop of honey on the tip of the tongue. Goddess, but she loved them both so much! If only there was a way to show them.

Looking up into the two pairs of blue eyes and feeling their gazes heat her skin as they roved over her soft, naked, newly opened body, Sadie began to have an idea. Arching her back to thrust her breasts, topped with already hardening nipples into the air, she purred, “Boys, I think I'm ready for round two.”

  Epilogue

It was a triple joining, at least Sadie thought you could call it that. Where Holt had found a priestess willing to perform such an unusual ceremony was beyond her but she knew pretty well that the tall blond could talk almost anyone around when he wanted to. Blakely pointed out that they shouldn't ask questions but just be glad that Holt was such a silver-tongued bastard, and she agreed.

It was a small, private ceremony, attended by a few of Holt and Blakely's fellow officers that knew about the Tandem chips and, surprisingly enough to Sadie, by her new editor, Prissy De Tangelen. Her blond hair swayed gently overhead as she nodded to the solemn chords of the joining march and Blakely did such an obvious double-take that Sadie had to elbow him sharply to keep him in line.

She had sent invitations back to Goshen, of course, not that she had much hope of any of her old friends and relations coming to see. Aunt Minnie didn't reply at all but Gerald sent his invitation back with all three of their names circled. 'Is this some kind of sick joke?' he had written in red marks-a-lot over the front.

It made Sadie sad that she had no one from her former life to share her joy, but any sorrow was completely forgotten whe n Blakely slipped a silver ring on her left hand and Holt slipped a gold band on her right and she heard the priestess say those magic words, “Ladies and gentlemen, may I now present to you Mr. and Mr. and Mrs. Blakely-Holtstein. You may now kiss the bride—both of you.”

Two heads, one light and one dark ducked towards her, sharing the sweetest three-way kiss in history and Sadie felt like her heart might burst with happiness. She had finally found the men of her dreams—both of them, and she intended to live happily ever after.
