The moment the thought crossed her mind, she regretted it. The idea of never seeing these two aliens again didn’t sit well with her either. And if the bugs were still around...

“Do not worry, Jayce.” Torin-Ka played with a lock of her hair. “Before we found you in the hands of another male, I was with our negotiator, Bikam-Za. He is attempting to strike a deal with your people. If he is successful, the Kivari will remain on Earth to protect it from the Exogens.”

“All...of you? How many Kivari are there?” She sniffled once and swiped at her damp cheeks.

“Two thousand, six hundred, and twenty-two. Males, females, and young. Only three ships orbit your planet currently. All filled with warriors. More than fifteen hundred of our strongest males. The rest of our people are in hiding until we send for them.” Torin-Ka took a heavy breath. “The Exogens destroyed our planet many moon cycles ago, and rendered it uninhabitable. We fled, and since that day, have worked to build our numbers, to train our warriors in the skills of battle, and to amass weapons capable of destroying Exogen scum. We will win this war, and we will protect the Earth-dwellers if they allow us refuge.”

“When will you know?” she asked.

“Soon.” Torin-Ka grabbed what looked like a watch and tapped the screen. “Perhaps one of your Earth hours. Or two.”

“Come, Jayce,” Macar-Na said as he rose and held out his very large, very green hand. “Let us ready you for presentation, and then we will take you to the Command Bay, where we will present you as our mate, and then have our generals will update us on the battles still raging on your planet.”

Her two males led her through a hidden door, showing her how to activate the unlocking mechanism and work the controls for what appeared to be very similar to the showers back on Earth, only with a hell of a lot more settings and a spray that smelled better than any water she’d ever experienced.

Torin-Ka dropped to his knees while Macar-Na held Jayce by the thighs, her back to his chest, putting the king’s mouth at the perfect height for Torin-Ka to swipe his tongue through her folds and play with her clit.

Jayce writhed in the smaller alien’s hold, finally bringing her arms behind her head to latch on to his neck for fear she’d slip out of his grasp. Torin-Ka’s ministrations brought her higher and higher, and she screamed as he bit down gently and then sucked hard, sending her flying with a release so strong, she couldn’t hear or see anything for several minutes after he finally pulled away and took her into his arms.

When her senses returned, she found Macar-Na hard and throbbing, his hand around his member. The two men both held her with one arm, their free hands tangled in each other’s hair. Jayce couldn’t look away from their passionate kiss, and as unsettled as she was not knowing what was going on with her home planet, her friends, her family…this threesome felt so very right, she didn’t ever want this moment to end.

But there was a hesitance in Torin-Ka’s movements, matched by desperation in Macar-Na’s.

“I want…” she whispered, then swallowed her next words. The two males had been completely focused on one another, but when she stopped, they both swiveled their heads to look at her.

“What do you wish for, mate?” Torin-Ka asked as he shifted her back onto her feet, keeping one arm around her waist.

“I want to see you both come.” Her entire body flushed hot, and her males growled in unison as they pushed her against the shower wall, Macar-Na’s lips on hers and Torin-Ka spitting into his hand and then stroking his cock.

“Take Macar-Na’s cock, Jayce,” the king ordered, and Macar-Na lifted her onto him. He was thicker than Torin-Ka, though not quite as long, and he stretched her wide as she gasped. He started stroking himself, but Jayce stopped him.

“No. Not like that. You...and Macar-Na should be...one.” She didn’t know where the thought had come from. For all she knew, threesomes were standard for the Kivari, but she could sense Macar-Na’s need for his king to claim him as much as they both needed to claim her.

Torin-Ka gazed at the smaller male. “I have never...” he said quietly.

“You will not harm me,” Macar-Na assured. “And I need this. I need both of you to be complete.”

Torin-Ka bent his knees slightly, parted Macar-Na’s ass cheeks, and whispered in the other man’s ear. “I will be gentle, my heart.”

The look on Macar-Na’s face almost brought tears to her eyes, and she held his gaze as Torin-Ka pushed inside his back hole. His lids fluttered, both sets independently, and the sigh he released when his king had seated himself fully was pure contentment.

Could she really do this? Belong to these two males? As they both started thrusting, her pleasure swelled up inside her, and she had to force herself to keep her eyes open. All she wanted to do was throw her head back and lose herself to the sensations flowing through her. But the males...their grunts and moans filled the shower and drove Jayce even closer to the edge. Macar-Na dipped his head and scored his teeth over her nipple, and she cried out as the light pain zinged right for her clit.

“More!” Jayce begged and arched her back to give him better access.

Torin-Ka pressed his entire body closer so he could fondle her other breast, and Jayce flew apart, shattering as the intensity of her release took her by surprise. She was nothing but one raw nerve, but in the best way, and when she blinked hard so she could focus on the males fucking her and one another, she found nothing but pure love and amazement in their black eyes.

  Macar-Na

Their female needed help to leave the bathing chamber, and before she’d taken two steps, her knees buckled, and Torin-Ka caught her in his arms. “Mate! Jayce!”

  “Mmm fine,” she slurred.

Macar-Na’s worry spiked, and he called out, “System, initiate full body scan on the Royal Consort. Highest priority.”

  “Scanning,” the AI replied.

They wrapped her in a blanket and brought her back to Torin-Ka’s bed where they held her, Macar-Na rubbing her hands and the king massaging her shoulders. She tried to protest, but each time she did, one of them kissed her into silence, and she sighed.

“Scan complete. Heart rate is slightly elevated, blood pressure is below normal, and blood sugar is in the critical range. Diagnosis: the Royal Consort is hungry.”

“For an AI, you are rather rude,” Torin-Ka muttered. “System, what do humans eat?”

  “Insufficient data.”

“What good are you then?” Macar-Na said sharply as he reluctantly released Jayce’s hands and stood, still naked. “Sire, I will retrieve food from the dining hall.”

“No, you will not.” The king eased Jayce back onto the pillows, rose, and stalked over to his storage pod. He withdrew a pair of black pants and a form-fitting synthetic shirt that provided warmth and protection from the vast majority of hand-to-hand weapons and small projectiles a warrior typically encountered in battle.

As he tugged on the pants, he fixed Macar-Na with a hard stare. The male had pulled Jayce into his arms and held her close. “Your belongings are still in your pod. You will stay here with our mate and ensure she does not worsen. I will retrieve food and send for your things. Jayce will also need clothing, and I will find Baia-Za.”

Torin-Ka did not wait for a reply. Once he’d pulled on his boots, he strode from the room, leaving Macar-Na and Jayce in his bed.

  6

  Torin-Ka

He did not want to leave his mate and Macar-Na. Not after what they’d shared. But Jayce needed food, and they’d passed most of a Kivari night together. His soldiers would be anxious for their next orders.

The Exogens would not stop attacking Jayce’s planet. Not until each and every human were dead or enslaved. The halls were quiet this early. Tapping the communications device strapped to his shoulder, he called out for the Standing Guard Master. “Status report.”

“Sire, the humans are mounting a small resistance,” the Guard Master replied. “Bikam-Za reports that a deal has been brokered. We wil
l be able to remain on their planet if we can defeat the Exogens.”

“Send four regiments from our sister ship. Call an assembly in the dining hall in a quarter of an Earth hour. And in the meantime, reinforce this vessel’s shields. I have an announcement.”

Torin-Ka rushed down the hall to Macar-Na’s room first, used his palm print to override the lock, and stepped inside. The small chamber was kept perfectly, not a speck of dirt anywhere, the bedding smooth. His second was a good male. Reliable. Two steps into the chamber Torin-Ka inhaled deeply and realized that Macar-Na was so much more. His scent filled Torin-Ka’s lungs, bringing a comfort he had never realized he needed.

How long had he buried his feelings for the other male? They had been pursuing the Exogens for many moons, Macar-Na by his side the entire time. He’d appreciated the male’s intelligence, his strength, and his support. But he’d never taken the time to truly see the male.

Now, he moved quickly to Macar-Na’s storage pod and pulled out two sets of uniforms. Pausing at the bed, he grabbed the single pillow and held it close. It smelled like the male, and his member swelled in his pants. He needed to hurry back with food, and present Jayce to the Council of Advisors for their seal. Only then, would he feel settled that the three of them would be bound forever.

On the way to the Dining Hall, he found Baia-Za, the elder woman assigned to his ship. After the Exogens had destroyed Kiva, few of his warriors still had contact with their life-givers, and Baia-Za was the closest thing any of them had to a mother.

“Sire, I have heard rumors you brought a human on board my ship,” the woman said sharply. “A female human. One you then kept in your pod for the night. Along with your Tribute General” She wedged her hands on her hips and narrowed her black eyes at him.

“I will present her to the Council of Advisors, and to you, Baia-Za, but she requires food and clothing. I do not know what humans eat. She is very small, and curvy.”

The corners of his lips twitched as he thought of his mates. Of how Jayce’s breasts were the color of the Kiva sky at sun break when she came, of the dusky points of her nipples, of how she bit her lip right before her entire body seized and then erupted in pleasure.

Baia-Za huffed out a breath. “Males. All of you. Dense as Kivarian rock and thinking only with your cocks. Where is she?”

“My quarters. With Macar-Na.” He held Baia-Za’s gaze, even though he wanted to look away. “You will help?”

“Of course, vashiya. She is yours. They both are. We will discuss your lack of proper protocol later.” Baia-Za marched off to the Dining Hall, and Torin-Ka rushed back to his mates.

He found Macar-Na holding Jayce in his bed, their female sleeping peacefully, though her skin had paled even further in the short time he had been away.

“Has she worsened?” Torin-Ka asked as he joined them and fitted his body to Macar-Na’s side.

“No. She was dehydrated, and I gave her water. That helped,” Macar-Na said quietly. “Did you receive a status report on the battles?”

“A brief one.” Torin-Ka relayed what little he’d learned as he stroked Jayce’s long brown hair and let Macar-Na’s warmth seep into him. “I called for an assembly. Once she has eaten and we have been able to clothe her properly, we will present her. Only then will we hear a full update from the Guard. I want her installed as our Queen before we go into battle once more.”

A series of melodious beeps announced Baia-Za’s presence at his door, and Torin-Ka tapped a button on his communications device to admit her. She carried a tray in one hand, several garments draped over her other arm.

“Out, the both of you,” she said sharply as she set the tray on a table in the corner of the room. “I will take care of your mate.”

Jayce woke with a start and blinked hard at the elder female. “Who...?” she asked weakly as she looked from Torin-Ka to Macar-Na and back again.

“This is Baia-Za. She is...” Torin-Ka was not sure how to explain the elder female’s role on the vessel, but he did not get a chance to.

Baia-Za approached the bed and bowed slightly to Jayce. “My duties involve taking care of these males. I believe your species would call me a grandmother? Or perhaps a guardian? They are not my progeny, but I keep them from destroying the vessel—and one another.”

Jayce smiled, and the beauty it brought to her face staggered Torin-Ka. “Yes, that’s kind of like a grandmother.”

“I have food for you, and clothing that will fit you well enough until I can modify some of the items we have in storage for your frame. The males are required for an update on the battle. So if you allow it, Consort, I will attend to you.”

“Call me Jayce.” His mate’s cheeks flushed an alluring shade of pink, and she held out her hand. Baia-Za took it, a slightly confused look on her lined face. “Oh. This is how humans, um, say hello.”

Macar-Na eased Jayce out of his arms, then pulled on his clothing quickly. Reluctance laced his tone as he met Torin-Ka’s gaze. “We should go, sire.”

Torin-Ka was about to correct his mate, but then his communications unit beeped, and Sabor-Va, one of his low-level generals, broke in. “Sire? The entire military regiment is assembled and waiting for you.”

“Go,” Baia-Za said as she moved closer to Jayce. “We will join you soon.”

  Jayce

The woman—Baia-Za—had the same green skin and black eyes as her two…mates. She couldn’t believe the words, even as they ran through her mind. “Have some of this, Jayce,” the elder woman said as she offered her a steaming mug.

“What is it?” She sniffed, and her stomach growled loudly.

“A restorative drink used when our warriors are injured in battle. The King should have given this to you when he brought you here. Instead, he merely healed your bones.” Baia-Za tutted quietly.

Jayce took a sip, unable to stop the small moan that escaped. The drink was so much better than the beer she’d had right before her entire world had turned upside down. Within minutes, she started to feel stronger, and by the time the mug was empty, energy flowed through her limbs and she was no longer hungry.

Baia-Za held up a long white tunic and a heavy royal blue robe. “These will be loose on you, but they are appropriate for the presentation to the Council of Advisors.”

“I don’t understand any of this,” Jayce said as Baia-Za slid the white dress over her head and smoothed out the wrinkles. “I was at the bar, then I was flying, there was so much pain, and now…I’m perfectly fine and I’m going to—what?—marry two big green aliens and live on this ship?”

Without Torin-Ka and Macar-Na at her side, everything seemed so much more complicated. Surreal, even. She couldn’t do this. Couldn’t leave everything she’d ever known and live…in space. Tears burned her eyes, but she blinked them away as Baia-Za held out the robe so she could slip her arms through the sleeves.

“It will be all right, my Queen. You have been chosen by the two strongest warriors of our race. More than that, you have brought them together. They never would have realized they were meant for one another—and for you—otherwise.”

“I don’t know if they’re happy about needing one another,” Jayce said quietly as Baia-Za turned her around and fastened a dozen little catches on the front of the robe.

“They will be, my dear. Soon, they will understand.” With a smile, Baia-Za offered Jayce her arm. “Now come. I will escort you to the Council of Advisors.”

Jayce’s heartbeat thudded in her ears as she let the elder woman lead her down the brightly lit halls. Despite her reassuring presence, Baia-Za hadn’t answered any of her questions. Not directly.

She hoped she wasn’t about to make the biggest mistake of her life.

  7

  Macar-Na

When they entered the Command Center, the Council of Advisors waited for them, along with the entire ship’s contingent of generals. More than forty males gathered, and from the whispering and murmuring amid them, news of the female had spread.
/>
“Is it true?” one of the Council, a male named Jasiv-Ma asked. “You have taken a human mate?”

His king met Macar-Na’s gaze, as if asking for permission. With a nod, Macar-Na gave his tacit agreement to tell the Council everything. They certainly would not be able to hide it much longer.

“Yes. It is true. The human female triggered the mating call. However the call was not a one-to-one bond between the human and myself. I have taken both the female, Jayce, and Macar-Na as my mates, and they have accepted me as well. The three of us have completed the mating ritual, and we are seeking the approval of the Council of Advisors.”

Questions came from every corner of the room, and Torin-Ka answered all of them, though his patience waned after the third male questioned whether he and Macar-Na had felt the mate call prior to finding the human.

Clearing his throat, Macar-Na placed his hand on Torin-Ka’s arm. “May I?” The king stepped back, deferring, and Macar-Na swept his gaze around the room. “I have felt the call to our king for my entire life, but I did not recognize it for what it was. When we found Jayce on the planet below, her presence cemented our bond. We will not apologize for what we feel.”

His focus shifted to the back of the room where Baia-Za stood in the doorway with Jayce at her side. From the grip the elder woman had on Jayce’s arm, she was half-holding her up. Macar-Na’s protective instincts kicked in, and at his side, Torin-Ka, as if sensing his very thoughts, strode through the crowd to retrieve Jayce and pull her into his arms.

“This is our mate, Jayce,” Torin-Ka said when he’d brought their female back up to the front of the room. “Council of Advisors, the Kivari race long ago decreed that matings among the ruling and warrior classes required the Council’s blessing, and so we come before you now as one to ask for your approval.”
