Jacob swiped his brow, adrenaline pumping through his veins. The sounds of everything else around him began to fade, just like when he was on a mission, and his gaze narrowed on the windows in front of him.

Sunlight reflected off the glass, and he could see the reflection of him and his teammates in the window. They still didn’t know where the bank robber was—he could be aiming his gun directly at them or planning to blow them up the second they entered the bank.

Absolutely nothing was stopping him from going to Jessica though.

He aimed his gun at the window, knowing his teammates had his back. If, God forbid, something happened to him, the other men would take the robber down and get Jessica to safety.

“And move!” Hunter shouted as the back of the building was breached.

Jacob heard the sound of gunshots, but then they were breaking through the windows and moving inside the building. Papers flew through the air of the office they’d burst into. He heard the shouts of the police from another section of the bank and then another round of gunfire.

Holding his weapon in front of him, he moved forward, not caring that he had no helmet and only minimal protection. All that mattered was getting to Jessica and ensuring her safety.

“Clear!” Noah yelled as he swept the room.

“Suspect is down!” one of the SWAT team members called out.

“The entire front of the bank is wired—everyone stay back!”

Jacob aimed his weapon in front of him, sweeping left and right as they moved down the hallway. They turned left and moved toward the vault in the back of the bank. Sunlight poured in through the open emergency exit, but they hurried to the vault down the hall. One of the SWAT officers in tactical gear was already spinning the combination dial as Jacob came to a stop behind him.

“There’s a keypad, too,” one of the men said. Holding a slip of paper, he punched in the numbers. Jacob holstered his weapon, his heart pounding in his chest. Jessica was only a few feet away from him.

The heavy door suddenly swung open, and then she burst forth, rushing straight into his arms.

Jacob hauled her up against him, hating that his bulletproof vest separated her body from his. She wrapped her legs around his waist, clinging to him as she cried.

He ran a hand through her hair, holding her trembling form to him. “It’s all right, angel,” he murmured into her ear, turning and walking away from the commotion as his teammates tended to the other hostages.

“You’re safe now,” he assured her. “Let’s go home.”

  Chapter 22

“Oh my God, don’t ever do that to us again!” Michelle said from the deck of the beach house, giving Jessica another hug before sitting back down beside Ryker. He casually tousled Michelle’s hair but looked over at Jacob and Jessica.

“What? Go to the bank or get locked in a vault?” Jessica asked, raising her eyebrows. “Both are off of my list.”

“Any and all of that! We were worried sick about you!”

Jessica set down the slice of pizza she’d been eating, mostly still untouched. “It was terrifying but kind of a freak accident type of thing. I doubt I’ll ever get caught in a robbery again. But either way, I’ll probably be having nightmares for months.”

She shuddered, Jacob reaching over to comfort her.

“So was it the same guy that robbed the woman at the ATM?” Amy asked, taking a sip of her margarita.

Jacob nodded his head, lightly rubbing the back of Jessica’s neck. “Yep. Same guy. It was a dumb move to rob a bank. I guess the dude was desperate for drug money. But now he’ll be in jail for the rest of his life.”

Jessica let out a shaky sigh, and Jacob pulled her into his arms. “You look exhausted,” he said, brushing a gentle kiss across her forehead.

“I am. Let’s go downstairs and relax in the hammock. I’m not really hungry anyway. I just need to chill out for a while and forget about this entire day.”

“Then let’s go, angel,” Jacob said, taking her hand and helping her to stand up. They excused themselves from the others and headed downstairs.

“I guess you got the rest of the day off?” Jessica asked as Jacob stretched out in it, holding out a hand to her.

“That I did, angel,” he said as she snuggled up to him. “And there’s no place I’d rather be than here with you.”

She sniffled, letting out a small sob as Jacob wrapped both his muscular arms around her, holding her tighter. “Shhh,” he said, rubbing a large hand over her hair. “You’re safe now.”

She nodded, letting her tears fall. “I’m getting your shirt all wet,” she murmured.

“I’ve got other shirts. Just let me hold you,” he said in a low voice.

The hammock swayed in the ocean breeze, and Jessica let herself relax against Jacob’s muscular body. She inhaled his masculine scent, clean with a hint of something purely him. “I’m sorry about last night,” she said. “I just kind of freaked out and panicked. I know that woman didn’t mean anything; I just got scared about us. I know it’s too soon to worry about the future or stuff like that—”

“It’s not too soon,” he said, cutting her off. Jacob’s chest rose and fell, and she let the thumping of his heart soothe her. Jacob let a hand trail over her bare arm, and she sighed in contentment. “I don’t want things to end between us, angel. I know you’re going back to your job and your home, but hell, we can make it work. We could meet in Richmond some weekends or you could come here on your breaks. I’ll drive out to see you when I can.”

“I’d like that,” she said softly.

“And after that? We’ll just figure it out. I won’t be a SEAL forever. I almost lost you today, Jess. When you were trapped in that vault, I knew I needed you in my life.”

She looked up, meeting his dark gaze, and Jacob ducked down, kissing her gently. It was softer and sweeter than their first kiss in the hammock, but her heart fluttered nevertheless.

Jacob was hers. She wasn’t about to let him go either.

  Epilogue

Jessica blinked as she woke up a few days later, and she felt Jacob’s strong arms tighten around her. Sunlight peeked in through the blinds on his bedroom window, and she nestled further against him, beneath his sheets. “I have to get up and go onto base soon,” he murmured into her ear, his voice deep and husky.

“Mmmm. You’ve gotten up early all week. Can’t you just tell them to change your hours or something?”

Jacob chuckled, the low rumble doing delicious things to her insides. They’d made love for hours last night, but somehow that didn’t stop her desire for him.

“Maybe I can change your mind about hating early mornings,” he teased, lightly nibbling on her earlobe as she squirmed against him. One large hand palmed her breast through her camisole, and as she arched back against him, she could feel his erection pressing against her bottom.

She turned her head to kiss him, and then his hand was sliding between her breasts, over her stomach, and toward her sex. He fingered her through her silken pajama shorts, finally tugging them aside so he could feel her slick folds.

“You’re so wet for me, Jess,” he murmured, expertly circling her clit with his fingers as he kissed her.

Jacob seemed to know exactly how to make her come quickly every time, and before long, she was gasping for breath. Jacob’s muscular body surrounded her, his scent all over her skin. His fingers began to move faster, raising her higher, and a moment later she cried out softly, her inner walls clamping down around nothing.

“Let’s get these off of you” he said huskily, helping her to strip off her camisole and sleep shorts.

She stared up at him as she lay naked in his bed, her heart pounding. He was nothing but solid muscle, yet there was a tender side to him, too, that she loved. There was scruff across his jaw, and he flashed her his crooked grin, nuzzling her cheek. His whiskers rubbed against her sensitive skin, but there was something sexy about it that made her want him all that much more.

p; Jacob’s gaze was warm as he looked down at her. “What, angel?” he asked. “You look awfully deep in thought for someone I’m about to make love to.”

She flushed, letting her hand rake over his cropped haircut as he gently caressed one of her breasts. His thumb brushed over her nipple, and she gasped, but she met his heated gaze.

“Did you mean what you said yesterday—about wanting me to move in with you at the end of the summer?”

“Hell yeah, I meant it. I almost lost you earlier this week. We can do the long distance thing if its too quick, but I want you, Jess. All of you. Maybe I didn’t realize how much until I almost lost you. I’m falling in love with you.”

“I love you, too,” she whispered.

He ducked down and kissed her, his muscular arms caging her in. Jessica’s body eagerly responded, opening to him. She wrapped her legs around his waist as he lined his thick length up with her entrance, and then he was gently pushing inside her, stealing her breath.

Jacob’s cock filled her completely, stretching her inner walls to their limit. The base of his penis brushed up against her still sensitive clit, and she moaned in pure pleasure.

He stroked her deeply, slowly moving his thick length in and out of her. Lightly grabbing her wrists, he pinned her hands above her head, so that she was at his complete and total mercy. Her nipples rubbed up against his hard chest, and she cried out in pleasure as he took her.

  “Jacob, oh God,” she whispered.

  “You’re mine, angel. Always.”

He grunted, thrusting into her faster, and he took her wrists in one hand, grabbing her leg with the other to spread her even wider to him.

Jessica cried out, her inner walls beginning to spasm around him.

“Come for me, angel,” he ground out. “Come on my cock right now.”

Her body tightened, and then she screamed her release, helpless to stop the onslaught of pure pleasure. Jacob stiffened and came as well, his powerful body hovering atop hers as he released deep inside her. He pulled out, rolling her body over beneath him, and then he tugged her hips up and entered her again from behind.

“You’re still hard,” she gasped, clutching at the sheets as he filled her even deeper from this angle.

“I’m always hard around you, angel.”

He thrust into her once, twice, his cock bottoming out inside her as his balls rubbed against her ass. His fingers slid beneath her, lightly rubbing her clit, and shockwaves of pleasure began to rock through her once more. She’d barely even come down from the other orgasm, and Jacob was building her up again.

“Jacob, oh God, oh God, oh God!” she panted, gasping for breath as he impaled her.

Liquid heat began to seep through her body, and as his able fingers circled her clit, suddenly she was coming for him again, crying out softly into his sheets as he filled her. A few minutes later, they both lay panting for breath, Jessica nestled safely in his arms. “I might never let you out of my bed again,” he teased, brushing his lips over her forehead in a gentle kiss.

“That’s okay, because I might not ever want to leave.”

“Might not?” he asked, flashing her his crooked grin as she flushed. He brushed a strand of hair back from her face, and she was shocked to see that he was still half-hard.

His dark gaze met hers just then, his eyes warm with emotion. “I love you, Jessica.”

  “I love you, too, Jacob.”

Jacob pulled her on top of him, ready to show her once more.

  Kidnapped by a SEAL Excerpt

Navy SEAL Ryker “Bulls Eye” Fletcher fingered the delicate gold chain in his hand, frowning. Sunlight glinted off of the small pendant, and the fragile, feminine necklace looked almost comical in his large, muscular hand.

He clenched his jaw, frustration roiling through him.

Somewhere, halfway around the world, the American woman it belonged to was still being held hostage. Possibly injured. Harmed. Frightened.

Finding the forgotten necklace in his pocket brought back an onslaught of memories—searching the ramshackle camp in Afghanistan with his SEAL team for the missing woman. Finding another hostage who’d already been killed. And then nearly stepping on the gold necklace lying on the ground as they were moving out under the dark cover of night.

The last thing he’d expected to see through his night vision goggles in that hellhole was a piece of woman’s jewelry.

His teammate Mason “Riptide” Ryan came jogging over, the harness from their rappelling drill still on, and grabbed his canteen before gulping some water down. “What the hell is that?” he asked, raising his eyebrows as he glanced over at Ryker.

“I found it in the pocket of my fatigues.”

Ryker held it up, watching as Mason’s eyes widened. “Wait—that’s the necklace you found at the terrorist camp? Why the hell do you still have it?”

Ryker lifted a shoulder. “I forgot about it when we hauled the Brit back to base. Then I thought I lost it in the chaos. I told the CO about discovering it on the ground, but it’s not exactly a clue to the missing woman’s whereabouts. It just proved she was there. For all I knew, I’d dropped it back in the desert.”

“Well hell. That was an entire month ago.”

“And we still don’t have solid intel on her location,” Ryker said, sliding the delicate chain back into his pocket. “We left her there in the hands of monsters.”

Mason shook his head. “We didn’t have any solid leads on where she was taken. On how to track her down. Our mission was the make-shift camp she’d been held at.”

Ryker spat on the ground, frowning. “I don’t like it. A month and nothing? Bullshit.”

“What the fuck is there to like?” Mason asked, setting his canteen back down. His gaze swept toward their other teammates in the distance. Stationed at Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek, the men drilled daily out on the ocean and around base. Ready to go at a moment’s notice, they served at the beck and call of the U.S. Navy. As soon as they received word, their team or the Alpha SEALs, the other elite team stationed on base, were sent off on missions all over the world. “As soon as we have new leads, we’ll be back on a transport across the ocean. It’s not like we’ll fucking leave her there.”

Ryker tugged at the adjustments of his own harness, eyeing the rappelling wall in front of them. Two of the men on his team came quickly down in full gear. Ryker pulled his own helmet on and gra
bbed his rucksack, feeling the adrenaline beginning to rush through his own veins.

“We shouldn’t have left her there,” he said, shaking his head. “No woman should’ve been left in that godforsaken place.”

And then he jogged over toward the wall to join the rest of his SEAL team.
