Grandpa stories: A few of the stories I told my grandson I wrote down and some of those I'll share with you.

  1. Montana Bear

Note: Told over a cell phone to my grandson while driving my daughter and grandson's things to Missouri.

Driving across Montana there was a huge thump in the back of the U-haul truck. In less than a minute there was another thump. I stopped to see what the matter was and opened the back door. Out jumped a red and brown stuffed bear. He almost knocked me down. I ran after him, wrestled him to the ground twice, and while we wrestled he chewed on my ear.

When I'd had enough of that I yelled, "If you don't stop I'll not take you to Kai."

Montana Bear quit chewing my ear, jumped up, and ran into the back of the truck. I locked it and had no more trouble with Montana Bear. My ear was sore most of the day.
