Chasing Chad Page 8

by Jeanisse, Bella

Maggie’s mouth dropped. “The Tommy Fischer? Bassist of Gasoline Tommy Fischer?” That was one of the rockers on her list still to be fucked. Maybe Chad won’t mind, since we haven’t been intimate. Then a memory surfaced. Dean might be there, too. I’ll show him how much Chad wants me.

“Yeah.” Chad regretted the invite. Her face screamed fangirl already. “We don’t have to go, though.”

When she had realized Chad saw right through her, Maggie took a few breaths to calm herself. “I’d love to go. I just need to find the right dress.”

“I can help with that if you like,” Crystal offered. “I’m sure your shop has something perfect.”

Maggie smiled. Crystal was too nice to hate. “I have a few dresses at home from weddings and events. I think I know the one that will work.”

“I’m glad you and Crystal get along.” Chad held Maggie’s hands tightly. “That’s important to me.”

Those words made Maggie realize that her ideas to separate Chad from Crystal would likely backfire. I just need to show him that I’m the one he wants, not her. Maybe I can do that at this party. Or now.

She smirked when he let her hands go. Then she ran her fingers up his leg to his crotch.

Chad froze when she gripped his shaft through his pants. He didn’t want the other couple to know what she was doing, and he wasn’t sure how to stop her discretely. His entire body shivered when she stroked him harder.

He picked up his menu and pretended to read it. Then he heard a zipper and glanced down. Her palm connected with his bare skin, and his knee hit the table.

“You OK?” Crystal patted Chad’s arm.

He looked up. “Uh, yeah.” He gritted his teeth while Maggie toyed with the head.

At that moment, he would fuck her if they had been alone. Then his eyes landed on Crystal and guilt came over him.

This makes no fucking sense. She’s free to do whatever she wants and so am I. Why can’t I just go for it?

Maggie popped the button on his pants which let his half-hard cock spring out. Then she moved closer to him and leaned down.

“No,” Chad whispered. It was obvious she was about to blow him right there in the restaurant. “Not here.”

She leaned her head on his chest and looked up. “When we get back to my place?”

  “Have you decided?”

Chad swiftly threw his napkin over his lap before the waiter saw him exposed. “Uh, I have. How about the rest of you?” His heart pounded with fear that his state of undress would be discovered.

After they had all ordered, Crystal leaned in close to Chad and whispered, “What’s wrong?” She felt his anxiety.

“Um…” He lifted the napkin a bit.

Her eyes opened wide. “Put that away.” She covered his crotch with a hand. “We made a promise.”

“She did it.” He nodded in Maggie’s direction. “I told her to stop.”

Crystal couldn’t help but giggle, although she was a bit annoyed that another woman had touched him. She glanced around. Then she threw her napkin over his lap as well.

“I’ll be back.” She tugged Chad to his feet. “We’re gonna go say hello to someone.”

Unable to resist while he held the napkins to hide his open pants, Chad hurried to keep up with her. She pulled him into the ladies’ room, and he stopped. “Uh-uh, not here.”

With a sigh, she yanked him into the men’s room. Since they were alone, she grabbed the napkins from him and carefully tucked his cock away. Her body responded to the feel of it. She fought it hard.

Memories flooded her mind. He always blew her mind in bed. If she hadn’t made a promise to herself that she would be faithful to her man, she might give him some relief. He obviously needed it.

To hide how turned on she was, she giggled softly. “She’s a wild one, huh?”

“You don’t know the half of it.” His face heated up as he recalled the dream with Crystal in the long coat. “I’m not sure how to explain… You know how I am. She’s kinda touchy-feely.”

She understood completely. Plenty of his previous girlfriends had complained to her that he wouldn’t sleep with them. He had always been the type to get to know someone before he took that step.

“Do you like her enough to come back and see her while we’re on tour? Or have her visit?”

He shrugged. “I’m not sure yet.” He leaned his back on a wall. “She’s nice and all. She has this cool dog, too. But… I keep getting this weird feeling. Maybe I’m just paranoid?”

“I doubt you are.” She stepped forward and hugged him. “If your gut tells you she’s not who she says she is, maybe you need to stop this before it goes too far.”

His arms wrapped around her, and he sighed. “You’re right. If she acts flaky at the party, I’ll just end it.”

  “OK.”

She almost asked if it was a good idea for her to even go to Tommy’s place. If Maggie had an ulterior motive, that may give her a way to do some damage.

Then she realized that Chad was a good judge of character. It was likely jealousy that made her want to find something wrong with Maggie.

“You a’right?” Chad ran his fingers through Crystal’s hair.

With a nod, she replied, “Yeah, I’m fine, just thinking.” She exhaled on his chest. “They probably think we snuck away to be alone.”

“We kinda did.” He palmed her face and lifted her chin. “Thanks for lookin’ out for me. I love you, my baby girl.”

She grinned as her heart swelled. “I love you, too.” Her eyes opened wide when she realized what she had said. “Uh… Well, you know I do.”

“I do. It’s just not the same.” He sulked for a few seconds. “We should go back to the table.”

  CHAPTER TWELVE

“Wow!” Crystal’s mouth dropped with awe.

Chad stood with Crystal as Maggie and Giovanni sped away from them on the ice. The two of them had shown off a few times. Chad had never seen Giovanni smile so much.

It was actually fun to watch. Chad laughed when Maggie reached out and caught Giovanni’s hand then they spun around together.

“Come on.” Chad tugged Crystal away from the wall. He held her hand tightly as they picked up speed. Then he turned around and held onto her as they continued.

Crystal laughed. Then she saw someone stumble. “Watch out!” She cried out as the two of them practically flew over the couple ahead of them.

“Oomph!” Chad had landed on his back, just before he saw Crystal fall. He pulled her so that she hit him instead of the ice. “I got ya.”

Giovanni raced to them. “You all right?” He helped Crystal to her feet then brushed the ice from her clothes. “You hurt?”

“I’m OK.” She groaned when he held her too tight. “I’m fine. Chad broke my fall. Let me go. He might be hurt.” She squirmed out of his arms and knelt next to Chad. “Can you move? Chad? Did you get hurt?”

Chad took a deep breath. “Just had the wind knocked outta me.” He sat up and let her hold him. “I’m fine, too.” He didn’t want her closeness to make his cock swell, but he couldn’t stop it.

“Lemme help you.” Giovanni held out a hand to Chad. “You sure you’re all right?”

With a slight wince, Chad nodded. “Nothing serious. Maybe just a bruise or two.” He skated over to Maggie. “Is that other couple OK?”

“They seem fine.” Maggie grabbed Chad’s arm. “When we get back to my place, I’ll check for bruises and put ice on them.”

He shook his head. “I’m fine. Let’s just skate.”

The two couples went around a few times hand in hand. Every once in a while, Giovanni and Maggie showed off a bit more. They couldn’t help it.

Crystal laughed when Giovanni twirled her a few times. He was more relaxed on a rink than on a dance floor. That surprised everyone but him. She wished she had known that he loved to skate.

A few feet from them. Chad saw a large open spot ahead of them. With a grin, he grabbed Maggie’s other h
and and forced them to spin together.

Even with the fall, he was having a great time. Her smile made his own widen. It was nice to be himself with her and not worry about her libido attacking him.

Crystal shivered when they neared the exit to the rink. “Can we stop and get something hot to drink?”

“But you don’t like coffee.” Giovanni had seen a coffee bar at the far end of the rink.

She shrugged. “Maybe they have hot chocolate.”

“We’re getting coffee,” Giovanni shouted to Chad as they passed.

Minutes later, Chad sat next to Crystal and smiled. She touched his arm slightly. “This was a good idea.”

He nodded. “Yeah, glad I saw the sign last night.”

Giovanni set four steaming cups on the table. He pointed at the frothy one. “That’s not coffee. Crystal’s not into it.”

“Thanks.” Maggie lifted her cup and cradled it. “Just what I needed.” She glanced at Chad and winked.

He groaned silently. He had thought she gave up on naughty behavior. Obviously not.

For just a few seconds, Maggie regretted her choice in clothing. Her legs were cold.

  *** ♫♪♫♪ ***

Chad parked near Maggie’s building and closed his eyes. Crystal’s innocent touches had driven him crazy all night. “I’ll walk you upstairs.” His seatbelt came off, but he hesitated.

“Not yet.” Maggie unbuckled her seatbelt and got to her knees. “I had fun tonight.” She leaned over and kissed his lips. “Didn’t you?”

He nodded. Her lips brushed his again. Guess it’s about time to allow a bit of intimacy. He kept his eyes shut and let her take the lead.

She took advantage of his lack of resistance and climbed into his lap. “Show me.”

Her skirt lifted as she settled her hips over his. Finally. She ran her fingers through his hair and kissed his lips again.

Her core rubbed his impressive shaft as she took her time with the seduction. His hands soon grasped her ass cheeks, and she almost smiled.

As he squeezed, Chad let her tongue dominate his mouth. He let out a soft moan when she pressed down on him. It felt like ages since he had sex. His battle against that moment seemed ridiculous. Her hips rolled against him, and he groaned.

Encouraged, she tugged his hair a bit and ground down on him. When he didn’t resist, she reached between them and opened his pants. He groaned as they continued to kiss.

Eyes opened wide, Chad felt cool air bathe his groin. A hand gripped his bare shaft. Then soft skin rubbed it. “Wait. Not here.” He looked down. It was her thigh against his dick.

“OK, then come upstairs so I can finish this for you.”

Chad sucked in a breath through his teeth and grabbed Maggie by the arms. “I know you don’t understand, but this is me. I need to be ready.”

“You are ready.” She squirmed over him.

He gritted his teeth. “Not that kinda ready.” He growled. Then he lifted her up and set her on the passenger seat next to him. “You know what I mean.”

“You make no sense.” She folded her arms over her chest and pouted. “You get me all riled up and act like you want me. Then you just stop. Ready for what?”

Chad bit the bullet and admitted, “I don’t want to think of her while I’m with you. It’s not fair.”

“Oh.” She understood, although she didn’t want to. “When?”

He shrugged. “I can’t put a timeframe on it.” He met her eyes. “Can’t you slow down and let this flow naturally? We don’t need to rush things. We have plenty of time.”

It wasn’t easy to fight the eyeroll. She knew he was going on tour and she needed to hook him before that happened. No way could she pass up on getting her claws into him.

“Can you slow down, for me?”

She glanced at the roof of the van. “Fine.”

  CHAPTER THIRTEEN

Tommy’s New Year’s party was only hours away, but Chad wasn’t in the mood to get ready. He wanted to make a decision about Maggie that night. Something told him to be careful. Then what Crystal had said came to mind.

His gut said she wanted one thing from him and that was it. Most men would be fine with that. However, he needed someone to replace Crystal in his love life.

The fact that they were to leave in three weeks for more than half of the year made him wonder why he had even agreed to a date with her. It was to prove to Crystal you could move on. Duh!

It had worked in a way. She thought he had moved on some at least. He felt her concern, though. It was obvious that she felt his doubt as well.

He hadn’t picked up his guitar in almost a week, but he needed to play to clear his mind. Once he was on the couch with his blue and black Fender, he plugged it into a practice amp and got comfortable. Initially, his fingers moved slowly over the frets.

The riff was soulful and soon morphed into a solo of sorts. He let the music lead him. His eyes closed as he hummed a sad melody along with it.

He felt his voice was not good enough for lead vocals, but many told him he could really sing. When alone, he did sing and didn’t hold back. That day, he could care less who heard him.

  “What should I do?

  Wish I was with you.

  Can she take your place?

Or will I just miss your face?

I miss you, my baby girl.”

He paused when he couldn’t find a rhyme for ‘girl’ other than ‘hurl.’ It was too sappy for his band anyway. Fuck the lyrics. They didn’t much matter anyway. He needed to vent. A few notes rang out. Just let it out.

  “Won’t you come back?

I need you to be a part of me.”

“Damn it! Fuckin’ let her go!” He was tired of uselessly wanting her back. However, his heart wouldn’t surrender. Then what’s the point of stringing Maggie along? Good point. He wasn’t sure anymore.

His phone buzzed and he glanced at the screen. It was Crystal.

Do you want to ride with us? Giovanni promises not to drink much.

  He smiled and quickly replied:

  Thanks, but Maggie is driving.

That helped him relax some. She’s happy with him. He sighed and leaned back. His fingers found the frets again. High notes filled the air. Eyes closed, he let the music lead him again.

The solo was emotional. Unconsciously, he repeated the sequence in a lower octave.

When he had done it a third time, he noticed and set his phone on the coffee table to record it. As soon as he recalled the solo, he played it again. It felt like something special. All it needed was a melody and lyrics.

Normally, he would let Crystal hear it and she would help him work it out. That was not an option at that moment.

He played it a few more times before a real riff came to him. With a smile, he felt the song coming together. Triple Threat’s album had released weeks earlier, but he was sure they would write a new one after the tour.

One down, eleven to go. When he had his fill, he set his guitar in its stand and stood. A glance at his phone told him he needed to get a move on.

  *** ♫♪♫♪ ***

Maggie stood in her bedroom naked looking at dresses. She had three that were appropriate, one red, one blue and one black.

Blue was Chad’s favorite color. She knew that from an interview he had done with a local blogger. That dress was a bit conservative, though. She wanted to be able to compete with Crystal, in a way.

The red one was sexy, but thin. It was quite cold out that night. That left the black one which would reveal some cleavage but wouldn’t wow anyone. As she looked it over again, she realized that Chad would like it. He wasn’t into ultra-sexy, unless Crystal was involved.

When she had the dress on, she turned in the mirror a few times. The satin tank style long ball gown fit her quite well.

She hadn’t worn it in a few years, but it looked even better since she had gained a few pounds. The new push up bra enhanced her minimal cleavage as well.

  This should c
atch Chad’s eye. She smiled at herself. Then she imagined Chad dressed up. Yummy. If we don’t have sex tonight, I have to give up. She was pretty sure if he drank enough, he would be more than willing.

Maybe if Chad turns me down, Dean will be ready for round two. She had waited five years to face him again. Wait ’til he sees me now.

  *** ♫♪♫♪ ***

“Whoa!” Maggie’s eyes opened wide when Chad opened the front door. He stood there in a well-fitting tuxedo with his hair tied back at the nape of his neck. “You look hot.”

Chad blushed. “Thanks.” He had only agreed to her driving there because her car got better gas mileage. “So do you.” His eyes roamed what he could see of the black dress. “That’s perfect for this party.”

“Really?” She opened her coat fully. “You like it?”

He nodded. “It’s beautiful.” He couldn’t help but stare. “You look beautiful.” Maybe this is the sign I needed. We might be able to make something of this. “Should we get going?” He grabbed his new long leather coat.

“Sure.” After she had slipped her arm in his, she led him to her car. “Just move the seat so you can fit comfortably.”

Chad opened her door when she had unlocked them. “Don’t worry. I’m used to adjusting seats in other people’s cars.”

He closed her in then walked around to the passenger side. It took a few seconds before he could climb in, but he made it.

“He lives down the shore. Take the Atlantic City Expressway. I’ll pay the tolls.”

  *** ♫♪♫♪ ***

Oh my fucking God! Maggie stared at all the celebrities. Tommy’s place was huge, and the party extended to almost every room. She hadn’t expected to see so many men she had admired from afar.

It seemed like Chad knew most in attendance. She clung to him nervously as he walked around and introduced her. Her heart pounded like crazy every time they walked up to someone she recognized.

  “Hey, Chad.”
