Steal You Away Page 24

by Ashley, Victoria

Her hands move to wrap into my hair as I fuck her up the shower wall, each thrust deep and slow, taking my time to prove how much I’ve missed her.

“I missed this too,” she whispers into my neck. “I missed you.”

Capturing her mouth with mine again, I bite her bottom lip, causing her to moan out as I grind my hips between her legs, owning every inch of her body with mine until she comes undone in my arms, her body shaking as she rides out her orgasm.

“Oh shit,” she pants, her grip on my hair tightening. “Keep going… keep…” She throws her head back, her pussy clamping around my dick for a second time in minutes.

A few more deep thrusts as I watch what I can do to her and I’m filling her with my cum, panting heavily against her neck as she squeezes me with her legs to keep me from letting her go.

I don’t want to, so I hold her for a while, before finally setting her down on her feet and cleaning her off.

I have her and I’m going to keep her, because there’s no better feeling in the world than having her as mine…

Since returning a week ago, Kennedy and I have been inseparable. She’s slept at my house every night and it’s beginning to feel like things have always been this way. Nothing has ever come more natural to me than me being with Kennedy; not even skating, and that’s been my passion for as long as I can remember. Honestly, I’d give it up to be with her, but luckily that’s something she’d never ask of me, and the same goes for her. Unlike my brother, I’ll never keep Kennedy from doing something she loves. I’ll always support her in everything she does.

Today is the first day since I’ve been back that Kennedy and I have the day off, so naturally, I suggested we hang out at Underground just like old times. Except nothing about being here with Kennedy now is going to feel like old times, because now she’s mine just as I always wanted her to be back then. It’s better. So many times I’ve watched Kennedy from across the room or even right beside her, wishing I could pull her in my arms and kiss her, and now that I can, you better believe there won’t be any holding back.

“It’s a little hard to skate when you keep yanking me off my board and pulling me against your body.” Kennedy’s laugh makes my heart so fucking happy. “Not that I’m complaining,” she says, running her fingers over my chest with a playful smile.

“I didn’t think so.” I smirk against her lips, before kissing her for about the hundredth time since we arrived an hour ago. I can’t get enough of everyone’s eyes on us and people talking about how we’re a couple now. “But I can stop if you want…”

She shakes her head and wraps her arms around my neck, her body practically melting into mine. Kennedy really has no idea how hard it is not to drag her down to the office and fuck her on top of Jerome’s desk right now. “I never want you to stop, Colson. It feels good not hiding from everyone. I never want this feeling to end.”

“It won’t.” I grab her chin and tilt her head so her eyes will meet mine. “I’ll never stop showing everyone you’re mine. It doesn’t matter how many times a day my sister slaps me for being too affectionate with you around her.” I laugh when Blaire pops up behind me.

“Hey, I’m just trying to make it through an hour without seeing the two of you kiss. Make it that long without kissing or groping each other and I’ll stop slapping you.” She holds her hand out. “Deal?”

“No fucking deal.” I capture Kennedy’s mouth with mine, my heart hammering against my chest when her tongue dips into my mouth. I love not having to fight for her to open up.

“That’s it. I’m going to get a snack and a blindfold. I’ll be back.”

Kennedy laughs when my sister walks away, before she pushes her way out of my arms and jogs to catch up with her.

“Kennedy moving in or what?” Travis stops beside me, fighting to catch his breath now that he’s switched places with Paxton in the big bowl. “She’s at your place every night, man. Just saying.”

I smile, the thought making me happy. “I don’t know. We’ll see what happens. Right now, I’m just happy she’s finally mine. None of that other shit matters right now, you know?”

“I’ve never met anyone who’s waited for a goddamn girl as long as you have.” He laughs and pours some water over his head to cool off, before wiping his chest off with his shirt. “That’s some hardcore dedication, brother.”

“I know what I want and don’t stop until it’s mine. I’d wait all over again too.” I smile and walk backward. “I’ve gotta pick something up from the office. Tell Kennedy I’ll be up in a minute.”

He nods and drops back into the big bowl, Paxton switching places with him, so I turn around and head downstairs, excited for what’s waiting with Jerome.

“Just came in, man.” Jerome reaches behind the desk for the board I ordered last week when I join him in the office. He laughs when reading the bold, white font on the grip tape. “I can’t believe you ordered this shit. She’ll either love you or kick your ass.”

I grab it from Jerome and smile, loving what it says. “I hope she’ll do both.”

“I bet, man.” He crosses his arms and watches me examine the board. “You and Kennedy Ward. To tell you the truth, I’m surprised it didn’t happen years ago. I watched you two together in the past and it always felt like you were a couple even though she was with your brother. I’m happy to see you guys finally figured shit out.”

“Me too, brother.” I shake his hand and hurry out of the office and up the stairs to find Kennedy. Usually, I’d be annoyed to find Steve eyeing my ass from across the room, but this time I nod, letting the fucker know I won and head straight for my girl who is sitting with my sister at one of the picnic tables. “I got you something,” I whisper in her ear, before kissing her neck.

Her attention lands on me as I jump up on the picnic table so that I’m sitting behind her, her between my legs. “A skateboard?” she says on a laugh. “Your old one works just fine.”

“Maybe, but this one is customized just for you.”

“Seriously? You had Jerome place a special order?”

“Yup.” I try to hold back my smile as I flip the board around, but the moment her eyes widen when reading the text, I break into a smirk.

“Stolen by Colson,” she reads, face turning red. “Why am I not surprised?”

“It does not say that, does it?” Blaire grabs the board to angle it her way. “Holy shit. It does. You’re fucking evil!”

Travis laughs, jumping onto the picnic table to join us. “That’s epic, dude. Let me see.” He grabs the board from me and places it in his lap. “The white font really stands out on the black. Good job. I like it.”

Kennedy laughs and takes it from Travis. “Stands out a lot. Thanks… I think.” She grabs my hand when I jump down to my feet and reach out for hers “What? You want me to use it right now? You really want me to skate around with a board that straight up says you stole me from your brother?”

“Yeah.” I smile against her lips, before kissing her. “It was time to replace the old one.”

“I love and hate you all at the same time sometimes.” She grins and steps on the board, testing out her footing and the way it feels beneath her. “But that’s what I love about you. You make me feel.”

“Good,” I whisper, before stepping away so she can test out her new board.

She looks so damn sexy wearing one of her old Underground shirts with my hat on backward that it’s making it seriously hard not to steal her away from everyone around us right now.

After doing a few tricks, she stops in front of me and wraps her arms around my neck. “I love it,” she says before kissing me. “I’ll just make sure your brother doesn’t see it. Not until he can see the humor in it at least.”

“Good idea.” I pick her up and she wraps her legs around my waist, holding onto me for dear life. “I love you so fucking much.”

She takes off my hat and places it on my head, her eyes studying mine. “I know.” Her grip on me tightens, so
much emotion behind her gaze. “I love you too.” With a smile, she jumps down to her feet and grabs my hand, pulling me back to the picnic table so that she’s sitting in between my legs with my arms wrapped around her.

“You sure you don’t want me to take you out on that date?” I question against her neck, reminding her of what I offered to do earlier tonight.

She shakes her head. “No. I’d rather be here with you. This is who we are.” Her lips softly press against my arm, before she squeezes it. “If you think about it, we’ve had plenty of dates already.”

  “Yeah? How so?”

“You cook for me every day, Colson. You treat me good and that’s all I need from you. This right here… You and me happy together. Let’s just sit here and enjoy this. I don’t want to leave.”

  “I can handle that.”

We sit here with her in my arms, watching our friends skate and have fun, and it’s the best day I’ve had in a long time. Being here—at our old stomping ground—as a couple for everyone to see makes me the happiest man on earth.

  THREE MONTHS LATER

“So, everything’s almost moved in already?” Libby places her hand under her chin and grins from behind the bar. “I can’t believe that it’s only been three months and Colson is moving in already. You guys will have your own house.” She reaches out for my left hand, the sparkling oval diamond ring encircled by round diamonds a reminder of the commitment I made to Colson a week ago when he sat me on the bar and asked me to be his wife. “And that you’re already engaged. I totally called it three weeks into you two dating. I told everyone he’d propose before a year.”

I laugh as she examines my ring for the third time since she arrived less than an hour ago. “When it’s right, it’s right, and everything with Colson feels right. It always has.”

“I believe it, honey. The two of you put everyone else to shame around here, no joke. I hope to find that kind of love someday. All my guys have been duds. Every single one of them.”

“I’m sure you’ll find it, Libby. Sometimes it’s with the person least expected.” I pull my hand back when she releases it. “Dane is here, so Colson and I are going to take off and grab the last few boxes from his apartment, or I guess I should say from Blaire’s apartment, now that they’ve swapped living arrangements. Blaire is complaining it’s taking up space in her new living room.”

“Not surprising. A girl needs her space. His boxes are probably in the hallway or at Travis’s by this point. I’ve never seen a girl so excited about having her own apartment.”

“I’m sure with all the cute guys going in and out of Travis’s daily that she’s going to setup a chair outside her door just to watch.”

Libby laughs, before backing away when a customer calls out for her. “I’m happy for you both. Really happy. Now go get your fiancé moved in.”

“Thanks, babe.” I snatch my keys from the bar and say bye to Sally on my way out the back door. Colson is already standing outside the food truck, smoking a cigarette, while Dane, the new cook, talks to him.

Due to how steady the food truck has stayed, I suggested to Dixie a few weeks ago that we open the truck at eleven a.m. instead of five to add a lunch option. It’s increased business inside the bar by at least twenty percent during the daytime, and has allowed Colson to get off at a decent time a few days a week now that we have two cooks.

I stand here for a moment, a smile on my face as I watch Colson smoking his cigarette. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I swear he gets hotter every single day.

My pulse quickens when he finally notices me standing here, his stare making my legs feel weak. They always feel weak when he looks at me this way. It’s only gotten worse since he asked me to be his wife. It’s as if everything I felt before has intensified.

Tossing his cigarette, he says something to Dane before walking toward me, as if he can’t wait to get to me. “Hey, gorgeous.” He lifts me up and my legs instantly wrap around his waist as he kisses me, before smiling against my lips. “Ready to get out of here?”

I nod and grab his face, pressing my lips against his, needing to feel his mouth on mine again. “More than ready.”

Without setting me down, he begins walking to his truck. Before I know it, the door is open and he’s sitting me inside and moving to jump in himself. Butterflies fill my stomach when he reaches for my hand and pulls it into his lap. I swear I’ll never get used to that feeling. “Let’s finish getting me moved in then.”

When we get to the apartment building, Blaire is in the hallway giving Travis a hard time about going in and out of her apartment nonstop.

“Welcome to my old world,” Colson says on a laugh. “You live across from the dude. There is no getting him to stop.”

Blaire shakes her head and waves her arms in front of Travis. “Can you at least not smoke a joint right before you come over or I’ll have to start locking the damn door.”

Travis laughs and reaches for one of Colson’s boxes. “You should know by now that I’ve always just smoked.”

Blaire stops, as if to think for a second, before finally shrugging and pushing another box out into the hallway. “Good point.”

After Colson and Travis have the last seven boxes stacked out in the hallway, they work on loading them into the truck while I help Blaire unpack her DVDs and books.

“I’m impressed,” Blaire says with a huge grin. “Three months and no breaks yet. If I remember correctly, you and Dax took your first break like two months after you started dating.”

“No fucking breaks,” Colson growls from the hallway. “That ring on her finger is promise enough of that.”

“Calm it, little brother. Just saying.” Blaire laughs and reaches for another stack of movies, her face amused. “I love seeing how worked up you get over the mention of a break. It’s entertaining.”

“Did you really think there’d be any, though?” I put a few books on the shelf, before turning to face her. “Be honest.”

“Of course not. I just like to work my baby brother up once in a while.” She joins me by the bookshelf and grabs both my shoulders. “I know without a doubt that what you and Colson have is real. And soon I’m going to be proud to call you my sister. I’ve never seen two people more in love. It’s sickening at times,” she adds, making a face, “but it makes me happy to see.”

“Is that right?” Colson sneaks up behind me and presses his lips against my neck, his hands squeezing my hips.

“See? That is what I’m talking about. It’s like you two are always two minutes away from disappearing into a bedroom to have sex.”

“What’s wrong with that?” Travis asks from the doorway with a stupid grin.

“Everything if it’s your little brother.”

“Calm down, Blaire. We’re not going to run off and have sex in the bathroom or some shit. I’ll wait until we’re out in my truck, at least.”

“Good thing I’m not going to the house to help you unpack today,” she mumbles, pulling out another stack of DVDs. “Now everyone out so I can organize and take a shower. You included, Travis.”

“Sure you don’t want me to stay?”

Blaire rolls her eyes, but I notice a slight smile when she turns away. She’s loving all the attention she’s been getting from Travis since the moving process, even though she won’t admit it.

Ever since Paxton moved temporarily for some job last month, she’s been down in the dumps. Not that they were dating, but it became clear before he moved that she had a thing for both him and his cousin Ridge. And now that Paxton is gone, Ridge spends a lot of his time at Travis’s. The girl is in heaven being across the hall. It’s obvious.

“All right, Blaire…” I laugh when Colson begins pulling me through the apartment in a hurry to get me alone. “Call me later.”

“You two need some help?” Travis yells down the hall when Colson keeps walking.

“Hell no, dude. Stay and help my sister.” As soon as we get outside, he backs me against th
e truck and slams his lips against mine. I release a small moan when his tongue dips into my mouth, his taste causing my body to overheat. “Fuck, you’re so sexy.”

I laugh against his lips and grip his hard dick through his jeans. “No sex,” I force out. “Not until we get you unpacked, remember?”

He bites his bottom lip when I squeeze his dick to tease him. I love the little growl he does when he’s all worked up over me. “Shit, you’re killing me, babe.” He bows his head and grabs my face with both hands. “I’m going to die before I even make you my wife.”

“We had sex this morning,” I remind him, opening the truck door, before slapping his chest. “I’m sure you can handle a few more hours without sex.”

He grunts and reaches for his phone when it vibrates in his jeans. After reading the message, he quickly replies, before shoving it back in his pocket, annoyed. “Talk about a fucking buzzkill.”

“What?” I question after hopping into the truck.

“Dax and Whitney are at Dixie’s and he wanted us to hang out with them. The last thing my dick needs while trying to get inside my girl is a text from my brother.”

  “What did you tell him?”

“Hell no. Told him better luck next time.” He grins and leans into the truck to kiss me. “We hung out with them a few days ago. This new relationship we have is weird. We’re getting too… close.”

  “And that’s a bad thing?”

“I guess not.” He grabs the back of my hair and brushes his lips across mine. “But still, tonight isn’t a good night. We’re unpacking, I’m making us dinner, and then I’m spending the night inside my fiancé. No disturbances from anyone this time. Our friends can go a night without us.”

By the time we get back to the house and bring the boxes inside, Colson is already at the stove cooking us dinner just like he does every night. He’s so incredibly sexy cooking that I can’t keep my hands off him and he knows it.
