He didn’t know, but he would find out.
“Sir?” The rookie got out of his car. “You’re clear to enter the scene.”
“Thanks.” He ducked below the tape and found the coroner checking over a young woman’s body.
“Any of them stabbed in the chest?” He asked.
She gave him a weird look. “No, but there’s a guy in the basement who might’ve been stabbed in the neck. Owner of the place, I think. A little hard to tell, though, since it looks like somebody chewed on it, afterward. Another one had his throat cut almost to the bone if that helps.”
Bradley felt his blood go cold. That was not Tanya’s MO. What the hell was going on here?
Acknowledgments
This book took three years to write, another year to get published, and the help of many, many people who deserve appreciation. My thanks go out to the fans of my fanfiction, who encouraged me to believe in myself as a writer and try writing “for real.” To my mom, who let me read my first draft out loud (except the sexy bits) as I wrote it, so I could bounce ideas off her. To my husband Brian, who was my initial beta reader and helped me choreograph the fight scenes. To my many friends who read various drafts and gave me their valuable opinions. To Audrey, internet BFF and editor extraordinaire, who took on the monumental task of editing the story and helping me hone it into something sharper and more effective. And to Nikki, who, without even reading the book, appointed herself my personal assistant, social media guru, and all around butt-kicker, and without whom I probably never would have gotten around to publishing!
