Love for the Holiday Page 5

“Did you just…?” He bent down and gathered snow.

I took off running because I know what is coming next. He runs behind me throwing snow at me. I’m defenseless in protecting myself because I can’t stop laughing. The snowballs I try to make don’t form so when I throw them, they scatter out like falling snow.

Jacob grabbed me around my hips and twirled me.

  “Jacob!” I squealed with laughter.

Memories. Memories are being formed in every spin, in every laugh, and in every touch. Jacob is making so many happy memories for me. It might not be Christmas, but this will always be one of my favorite holiday moments.

When Jacob finally grew too dizzy, he dropped to the ground with me next to him. We laughed like two crazy people. We gazed at one another.

“I’m glad you talked me into sledding,” he finally said.

“Even though you hated it the entire time?” I teased.

“I didn’t hate it… It just isn’t something I want to do again,” he laughed.

“Well, thank you.” I rolled over on my side and kissed him softly. “This has been an amazing day.”

“I’m glad you had a great day.” He kissed me gently at first but then pulled me against his body. One of his arms is around my waist. His other hand is on the back of my neck deepening our kiss. Every time, his kiss is pure bliss.

  CHAPTER TWELVE

When we returned to the cabin, Jacob started a fire to warm us up. I started the shower. It was a quicker way to warm up.

“May I join you, Miss McDaniel?” Jacob asked standing in the doorway.

“I would love it if you did, Doctor Holiday.” I gave him a vixen-like smile. He closed his eyes and moaned.

“You do that on purpose.” He looked at me.

“Maybe,” I laughed. “But you don’t complain.”

“That is definitely true. No complaints here.”

Little by little, I stripped myself from my cold, wet clothes. My nipples are hardened from the coldness. Goosebumps run up my arms as the warm air in the room touched my cold skin.

“You’re freezing, sweetheart.” Jacob rubbed my arms then walked me into the shower. He closed the large glass door. “Here, warm-up.”

He offered me the warm water first under the double head shower.

I wrapped my arms around him.

“There’s room for two,” I stood on my tippy-toes and kissed him softly.

“You’re so perfect.” He kissed the tip of my nose.

“You’re funny,” I laughed then pulled him into the water with me.

The warm water against my skin is like heaven. I bit back a moan and let the water run down my body. Jacob is pressed against me with the water cascading down him, too. He looked delicious.

My pussy throbbed. I clenched my thighs together to ease the need. This trip is supposed to be romantic. At least that’s how Jacob has made it seem. I don’t want to ruin it with my lust-filled, wanton ideas because if it was up to me, I’d be pressed against the shower wall with him stroking in and out of me.

“What’s on your mind, beautiful?” he asked yanking me from my thoughts.

  “Nothing,” I smiled.

“Is that the truth?” His eyebrow rose and he laughed. I shook my head.

  “Not even close,” I sighed.

  “What are you really thinking?”

I began to tell him, but his hard cock pressed against me stopping all thoughts. My gaze drifted down between our bodies. His hard cock is ready to give me what I want.

“Is that what you were thinking, sweetheart?” I looked up to see his bad-boy grin.

“Mmhmm.” It was the only word I could form. If that even counted as a word.

“Would you like me to warm you up?” With one of his hands, the tips of his fingers glided up my arm and made me shiver at his touch. His other hand held the back of my neck. He lowered his head down and his lips crashed against mine; igniting a fire.

Our hands roamed across each other’s bodies, while our tongues explored each other’s mouths. He tasted of mint and hot cocoa. We moaned against each other’s lips as the kiss intensifies ten-fold.

“Fuck,” he said with our kiss continuing.

“Take me,” I moaned into his mouth.

“With pleasure.” He grabbed me by my hips and turned me to where my back is against his chest. “Bend over, baby.”

I don’t need to be told twice. I gladly bent over with my hands braced against the built-in shower bench. The tip of his cock ran down along my ass before sliding to where I wanted him. The water flowed across my body and into my face, but there’s no doubt he can feel my heat or pool of arousal.

“So, beautiful.” He smacked my ass. My back arched and I pushed back against him. His cock is now pressing inside me.

“Take it if you want it.”

  Those were the magic words.

He held my hips and thrust deep inside me. Screams of pleasure rocked out of my mouth. No matter how many times we had sex, he always stretched me. He was so big. I loved his size.

I moved my hips to match his rhythm. He bottomed out in me and we both moaned. His pace quickened. One of his hands held my hip, while his other arm wrapped around me. His fingers began circling my clit. I bucked at the touch.

He pressed firmer against my clit and continued the circles. He rammed in and out of me; never faltering his pace. My mind is clouded from pleasure. My legs felt like jelly and my breath is ragged. I’m ready to come.

It’s barely been five minutes and I’m ready to soak his dick.

  “I’m going…”

“Come for me, Love. Let me feel you. Please.” He leaned closer to my ear. “Come for me, baby.”

His warm breath against my ear. The vibration from his lips as he talked pushed me over the edge. I bucked frantically as I ride my intense orgasm.

Jacob continued fucking me. This time both of his hands are back on my hips. He pounded forcefully inside me making it hard for me to sturdy myself but made another orgasm explode.

  “Jacob!” I screamed.

“That’s it, baby. Give me more. Come again,” he moaned. “Fuck. I’m going to come.”

“Come for me. Fill me up. Please,” I pled. “Fill me!”

“Fuck!” He roared then he stilled as he cums every drop inside me. My own orgasm was coming to an end. “You’re so perfect, sweetheart. I love everything about you.”

His words echoed in my mind. Love? Did he mean them how I hope he meant them? Or does he mean it as in a like?

Giddiness rose in me as I tried to decipher exactly what his words meant.

He slowly pulled out of me and turned me to face him. He smiled.

“How’d I get so lucky?” He asked before kissing me swiftly. “You’ve made me the luckiest man on the planet, babe.”

“And, I’m the luckiest woman on the planet,” I whispered before leaning my head against his chest. I wasn’t sure how long things would work out between the two of us, but I’d worry about that another day. Right now, I just wanted to bask in the moment.

We drank hot chocolate and cuddled by the fire throughout the night. The holidays weren’t what I thought they’d be. After the bomb my parents dropped on me, I thought my holidays would be spent sitting on my couch, shoving my face in a gallon of ice cream, while watching The Grinch and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Instead, I was spending the holidays with a man who treated me like a queen. A man, who had stolen my heart in a short amount of time-- Doctor Jacob Holiday.

“Sweetheart,” Jacob whispered against my ear. “Your phone is ringing.”

I sighed then grabbed my phone from the coffee table. It was my mom. She was video calling me. I turned my body so that Jacob would be off screen then answered the call.

My mom was wearing an ugly Christmas sweater and novelty reindeer antlers. My dad was wearing an identical outfit. They were sitting in their room on the cruise ship. I could tell by the ocean view out the windo
w behind them.

“Hi, honey!” My mom said cheerfully.

“Hi, mom,” I smiled. “Hi, dad.”

“Hey, kid,” my dad smiled. “Your mother wanted to call and check up on you. She was afraid you were shoveling ice cream down your throat and watching Christmas shows.”

My mom elbowed him in the chest and glared at him.

“Harold! Seriously! Can you make this call any more depressing?” she scolded him. I glanced at Jacob and he chuckled. My parents looked at one another then at the phone. They had knowing looks on their faces.

“Rest assured, mom. I’m not being a loser and shoveling dangerous amounts of ice cream down my throat,” I rolled my eyes.

“Where exactly are you, Love? It looks like a cabin or something?” My mom asked looking around at the screen. She made me laugh because no matter how much she tried to look around the cabin it wasn’t going to happen unless I turned the phone.

“A friend took me for a getaway to the mountains,” I smiled. Jacob and my parents all gave me a questioning look.

“A friend? What kind of friend takes another friend on a getaway to the mountains?” my dad laughed. “Is this a man?”

  “Um… How’s the cruise?” I blurted.

It wasn’t that I was afraid to tell my parents about Jacob. I just didn’t want to cross a line he wasn’t ready to cross. I mean, he had no problems holding my hand or kissing me in public, but maybe he wasn’t ready to be introduced to my parents. He may think I was trying to jump the gun.

“Honey, are you embarrassed by us?” my mom whispered.

“What? No!” My voice came out a shout. “Mom, seriously? I’d never be embarrassed of you guys. It’s just…” I glanced at Jacob. “I don’t know if the timing is okay. That’s all.”

“The timing? Like you don’t know if you guys are official?” my father asked sternly. “Is he embarrassed to let people know you two are together? Is that why he took you to the mountains and not some fancy place in--” My mom clapped her hand over his mouth.

“Harold, the guy is probably in the room,” she whispered harshly at him. My father wiggled free of her hand.

“I don’t care. There is no reason for anyone to hide my little girl from the world,” my father grumbled. “Can’t stand chicken sh--” My mom damn near tackled my father to the bed. She whacked him repeatedly with a pillow.

“Shut up, Harold! Don’t make things difficult for Love. We are already here on this cruise and left her alone,” my mom sobbed and whacked my dad one last time with a pillow. My dad pulled my mom against him and took the phone from her.

“I’m sorry, Love. I don’t mean to make things difficult for you. It just bothers me when a man can’t face his feelings and hides,” my dad stated. Jacob took the phone from me and smiled into the phone.

“Hello, Mr. and Mrs. McDaniel,” Jacob smiled. “I promise I'm not embarrassed for people to know that I’m seeing Love. I just didn’t want to interrupt her conversation with you.”

My mom and dad both looked shell-shocked.

“Oh, my,” my mom breathed. “He’s good looking.”

“Hello. Who might you be?” my dad asked with an eyebrow rose.

“I guess it would have helped if I had introduced myself,” Jacob chuckled. “I’m Jacob Holiday.”

“What is it you do for a living… Jacob?”

  “Dad!”

“Harold!” My mom screamed. “That’s rude!”

Jacob only laughed and shook his head.

“It’s okay. I don’t mind. I’m a doctor,” Jacob replied impressing my mom and dad.

“Oh,” my dad nodded. “That’s a fine occupation.”

“Thank you, sir. It’s a stable one.” Jacob looked at me and smiled.

“Aw. You two look so cute together,” my mom gushed. I’m pretty sure my face turned a thousand shades of red. Jacob wrapped his arm around me.

“I would have to agree with you, Mrs. McDaniel,” he grinned. “You have a very beautiful daughter.”

“That we do, which is even more reason to take care of her. Or else, you and I are going hunting, young man.”

I leaned my head against Jacob’s chest and giggled. My dad was anti-guns. Not because of political views, but because he didn’t trust my mother with her temper. He always said she’d kill him for insurance money. Of course, he said it jokingly but still.

“Unfortunately, my schedule is taken up by work and Love so there will be no time for hunting,” Jacob laughed. “Besides, I have every intention of taking care of Love for as long as she’ll let me.”

My mom and I swooned at the same time. Jacob’s words melted me like butter.

“I had planned on waiting a little while, but…” Jacob took a deep breath then handed me the phone. I watched him closely as he kneeled in front of me.

My heart raced like a drum with anticipation. Butterflies felt like they had been released in the pit of my stomach. The whole world seemed to freeze in time.

“What’s he doing?” My mom asked against trying to look around the cabin from her end. Jacob dug in his pocket and pulled out a jewelry box.

“Oh, my,” I whispered. It was such a soft whisper that I questioned if I had even said it out loud.

“Turn the phone, Love!” My mom ordered me. Slowly with shaky hands, I turned the camera on Jacob, who now had the box open. In the center of the box was a beautiful ring. “Harold! Oh my God! He’s going to--”

My dad clapped his hand over her mouth softly.

“Let the boy speak, Karen,” my dad sighed. My mom nodded and my dad moved his hand.

“Love, I had planned on asking you over dinner, but with your parents on the phone, I’d like to ask you now.” Jacob took a deep breath. “I’m a bit nervous,” he laughed bashfully.

“Take your time, son,” my dad encouraged him. Jacob looked at the phone and smiled then looked back at me.

“Love, since you came into my life, you’ve made me a better man,” he smiled. “There’s not a minute that goes by where you aren’t on my mind. There’s not a second that goes by that I’m not wondering how you’re doing or if you’re having a good day. I find myself wanting to see you every moment I’m awake and fall asleep with you being the last thing I see.”

The first tear of happiness slid down my face.

“Jacob…” I sobbed softly. Jacob took hold of my free hand, which just so happened to be my ring hand.

“Love McDaniel, will you make me the happiest man on the planet and be my wife for this lifetime and the next?

“Yes! A thousand yeses!” I cried. Jacob took the ring from its box and slipped it onto my ring finger. It fit like a glove. I threw myself into Jacob’s arms. The phone fell to the floor, but I didn’t care.

Jacob wrapped his arms around me then kissed me with enough passion to melt the North Pole. When our lips finally parted, he rested his forehead on mine.

“I will give you my all to see you happy, Love. You will never go without. I promise,” he whispered. “I love you.”

“I love you, too,” I breathed between sobs.

Happiness up until this point of my life could never compare to the happiness I was feeling right now.

I looked up at Jacob, he was looking down at me with the biggest smile.

  “You okay?” I asked.

  “Couldn’t be better.”

  “What are you thinking about?”

“Just thinking about how you’ve given me the best holiday,” he held me closer to him. “And, I can’t wait for the next one.”

“Me either,” I admitted smiling. “I don’t think you can top this year’s gift though.”

It was true. It was going to be almost impossible for him to give me a better present than what he had given me just now. He had given me -- love.

  Love for the Holiday.
