  “I will.”

“Place the ring on her finger. Decker pushed a ring on the fouth finger of her left hand.

“Do you, Sassy, take this man to be your old man?”

  “I will.”

“Place the ring on his finger.” What ring? She thought and started to panic. Barb stepped forward and put a ring in the palm of Rainy’s right hand. Rainy slid the ring onto Decker’s finger.

“By the power given to me by the state of Georgia, I pronounce that you are joined. You can kiss your old lady now.” The crowd went crazy, yelling and clapping. Decker pulled Rainy in close and kissed her. It was a deep, passionate kiss. And if this wasn’t real, Rainy felt he shouldn’t do that. She tried to push him back, but couldn’t. He finally pulled back and led her back down the aisle where all the bikers and their old ladies surrounded the two of them to congratulate them.

The party went inside the clubhouse where everyone watched their first dance. Rainy knew she was going to remember this for the rest of her life. Even if she never married, she would remember this, because right now it all felt real. She knew she was in love with Decker. Even if he was acting, she didn’t care. This was going to be her day to remember forever. And she planned on enjoying it fully, despite knowing she was going to have to deal with the heartbreak sooner or later. But not on this day.

After two hours of food, drink, and dancing, Decker told her to go and get ready. Rainy went back to Decker’s room and took her wedding dress off. She carefully laid it across the bed. Standing still for a moment and staring down at the pretty dress, tears came into her eyes. This was a big day for her, and her family didn’t share it with her. She had never realized how badly she missed them, and how she wanted them to be with her today. Oh stop it, Rainy, it’s all a big show for Maddog. You know that, so why are you crying like an idiot? After wiping her tears away, she got busy dressing in her black tank top and leather pants. She pushed a change of clothes and a t-shirt to sleep in into a bag. She went into the bathroom to find her personal hygiene items and shoved them into the same bag. She sat on the bed to pull her boots back on. Standing back up, she headed for the bedroom door. That’s when she heard something. She turned and Maddog was standing right in front of her. His face was still bruised from Decker’s beat down.

He pushed her up against the wall. Rainy was going to scream, only she felt he would kill her if she did. “Your mine, bitch. I don’t care who you hook up with. I had you first.” He then let go of her. Rainy pushed past him and hurried out the door, running for the front door. Yanking the door open, she stepped out onto the front porch next to Decker.

“There you are,” Decker said like he was happy to see her. All the bikers and their old ladies were watching as Decker opened the cut for her to slide on. Everyone cheered. Decker took her bag, and then he took hold of her right hand and led her to his bike. Mounting the motorcycle, she realized that it was Handlebars bike. And she was fine with that. She was all about the bigger seat. Everyone lined up on both sides of the driveway to see them off.

They rode for more than three hours, only stopping once for gas before Decker pulled off onto a dirt road. They were in the mountains, Rainy knew, but not what state they were in. They traveled for another ten minutes, then Decker pulled up in front of a log cabin. It looked like a Rockwell painting; it was so scenic. Just a lovely little cabin for the two of them. “The club owns this?”

“No, the cabin belongs to my old man.”

“Oh. Do you come here often?”

“No, Sassy. He comes here to fish. He likes fly fishing. There a river not far from here.”

  “What state are we in?”

“We’re still in Georgia. Why do you ask? Are you planning something?”

Now she frowned at him and wondered what kind of question that was. “No!”

“Good, because if you try and run, I promise I know these mountains a lot better than you do.”

His words hit her like a ton of bricks, And she couldn’t stop the tears from welling in her eyes. “If you’re that fucking worried about it, why don’t you just tie me up?”

When he realized he had hurt her feelings, he moved in and took hold of her arms. “I’m sorry, Sassy. I didn’t mean to upset you.”

“I guess I’m still your captive. Nothing’s changed.”

Moving closer still, he looked into her eyes. “You’re so wrong because everything has.” He leaned in and covered her lips with his, pushing his tongue into her mouth, tasting her. His hands went up her sides and up under her bra, cupping her breasts and rubbing his thumb around her nipples until they became hard. “I’ve wanted you for so long, Sassy. I need you, babe.” He pressed his manhood against her hip. Then he pulled away. lifted her into his arms, carried her into the cabin, and into the bedroom, laying her down on the bed. He kneeled over her and started to undress her. He had seen her naked before and had to push the image out of his mind. And maybe this was wrong. But he couldn’t stay with this woman for three days and not have her. He’d fallen in love with her from the time he saw her up close. And whether anyone liked it or not, Sassy was his woman. He started to pull at her clothes. She helped him get them off. He hadn’t removed his, not yet. He needed to taste her again. Covering her mouth with his, she moaned with pleasure as he moved his hand between her legs and started to finger her clit in a circular motion.

Rainy couldn’t hold back much longer. It had been so long that she’d had a man. She shuddered with anticipation as his skilled hands went to work on her and wondered where they would go next. She arched and started shaking as he pushed her into ecstasy.

Decker came up on his knees and pulled his shirt off. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a foil wrapped condom and tore open the packet. Then he lowered his pants and rolled the condom on. But before he could mount her, Rainy took his hard staff into her hand and started to move up and down. “Damn, Sassy,” he cried out. She then put the tip of it in her mouth and wrapped her tongue around it, moving her mouth up and down. But before he would cum, he pushed her back down on the bed and filled her wet center with his rod. Slowly he started to move up and down.

Rainy gasped as the heat between them became even hotter. Digging her nails into his back, she screamed his name. She was out of her mind with pleasure. No man had ever done this to her, and she was out of control.

He stopped and waited a moment, but she never stopped moving. “Decker please!” she cried. He pulled out of her. “Decker, Please, don’t stop!”

“Not just yet, Sassy.” He moved down her body with little kisses, one following the other until he got to her center. When he found her wet center with his tongue, he began licking it, running her crazy. She was crying and begging.

“Tell me how you feel about me, Sassy!” he demanded.

“I love you, Decker.” He sucked her clit until she exploded in a climax. But not giving her time to recover, he moved up and filled her again. This time he moved faster until he filled the condom with his juices. Then he collapsed on top of her. He laid still for a long time. After he recovered, he simply got up and dressed. Then he left the room.

This confused Rainy, and she wondered what had happened to upset him. She got up and dressed and went looking for her new found lover.

She found him standing on the front porch. “If you think for one damn minute you can do that to me with a ‘wham bam, thank you ma’am’ and walk away like it’s nothing, you better think again, mister!”

He turned around to face her. “Sorry, sweetheart. Old ghosts, but nothing to do with us.”

“Well, whoever they are, you tell them to back the hell off.”

He grinned at her. “Yes, Ma’am!” No, he wouldn’t tell her the truth. He couldn’t, but he would tell her his feelings. “I do love you, sassy mouth.”

“I don’t know if I can love you back. Your ghosts might get in the way,” she said, pouting.

“I’ll tell them what you said. That should take care of that.” N
o, he couldn’t tell her it was his job that was in their way. And the last thing he wanted was to hurt her. In the end, he knew that’s just what would happen. Not only would she be hurt, but she would hate his guts. “Well, do you love me again or not?”

  “I’m thinking about it.”

“Okay, let me help you with that,” he said as he lifted her in his arms and took her back into the bedroom. Rainy giggled.

For the next three days, they went fishing and hiking, and made love often. But all good things have to come to an end. Rainy was the happiest she’d ever been. Decker was everything to her. Pedro never made her feel that way. And she didn’t believe any other man could ever be this special to her. She loved and adored every inch of him. From his dirty blonde hair to his broad shoulders and smokey green eyes. His devilish grin made her heart beat fast every time she saw it.

On the ride back to the clubhouse, Rainy held on to Decker with not only her arms, but her heart as well. She realized she would always have this time to remember as long as she lived. She never told him about Maddog being in their room or what he said because she knew Decker would more than likely kill him. And she didn’t want to believe he could be a killer. She didn’t know if he’d ever killed anyone, and she didn’t want to know either.

Going back to the biker world was not what she wanted to do. But knowing that Decker was part of it made it doable.

  Chapter 17

  Storms

Two months had passed since their honeymoon. Rainy had fallen into a routine of taking care of Grisly and cleaning the clubhouse. She also helped in the kitchen and often took it over when Tools wasn’t there. She’d become closer to Liz and Cassy as time went on, even talking to Barb more on a daily basis.

It was a Monday, and Rainy was cleaning the bar. The TV was on a news channel. There had been three hurricanes that had hit the coast of Mississippi in a short amount of time. Rainy felt bad for the people living there that had lost so much. Tinman and Decker walked into the clubhouse. Rainy turned and headed back into the kitchen.

“We need to call a meeting for today. The other clubs are talking about having a rally to help the hurricane victims,” said Tinman.

“Are we going? And if we are, when will it take place?” Decker wanted to know.

“We should go. It shows good faith. Tell the boys 4:00 this afternoon.”

“Church at 4:00, got it. I’ll start calling them now,” Decker promised

“Good, see you then,” said Tinman as he walked away from him, looking for his old lady.

Rainy was standing just out of sight. Great, another rally. How long was Decker going to be gone this time? She really hated it when he was gone. She could go with him, but who would care for the dog?

Decker took a seat at the bar. He was fooling with his phone and hadn’t even noticed Rainy. She’d just come back out from the kitchen. He had been acting distant these last few days. And she knew it had something to do with club business. And that was alright. She knew how her own father would get uptight when under pressure. He never even looked her way, so she went back in the kitchen and Tools started to tell her that all the biker clubs in the southeast had decided to have a Rally to raise money for the people affected by the storms. Not one of these storms was more than a category two, but they had hit the coast one right after the other. There was flooding and bodies, lost pets and homeless people. And Rainy was pleased that this outlaw biker club would want to help out. However, Rainy had no intention of going with them. She thought only the bikers would go to Mississippi. She was surprised to hear that everyone was going. Only two of the prospects would stay to look out for the clubhouse and the farm. But she didn’t trust them to care for Grisly.

Decker came in the kitchen to tell Tools about church at 4:00. Tools nodded to let him know he understood. Decker figured Rainy knew she was going also.

It was about 5:20 when Decker came into their room and noticed she wasn’t ready to leave. “Why aren’t you ready? I told you we were leaving soon.”

“Decker, is it alright if I stay here?”

Bringing his hands up and resting them on his hips, he said, “No, you’re not staying here.”

“I just don’t want to leave Grisly alone.”

“He won’t be alone. Jona and Meat can care for him.”

“I don’t want to go!” she huffed.

Taking her by her arm and pulling her down on to the bed next to him, he said, “Listen, Tinman said everyone goes.”

“I don’t care, I’m not going without Grisly.”

Decker started to get angry. He really didn’t need this right now. But he held his temper. “Sassy, the three of us won’t fit on my bike. You can’t hold on to me and the dog.”

Shrugging her shoulders, she said, “Good. Then I’ll stay here!”

Decker turned away from her, letting out a long sigh as he ran his hand through his thick hair. “I’ll ask Hans if he can carry the dog.” He turned back to look at her. “Will you get ready now, and bring food and water for the dog. I’ll be outside waiting for you.” They both stood up and he pushed past her. When he stopped and glanced back over his shoulder at her, Rainy nodded her head to agree, but said no more. Decker had been acting as if something was bothering him, and now she was wondering if he regretted marrying her. He only gave her short answers when she asked him something. They had not made love for over a week now. She pulled out a drawer of the dresser to find clothes to pack and thought, Maybe there is someone new. Or maybe Bree came back.

Rainy helped serve dinner. There were more bikers and old ladies now, so she and Tools made hot sandwiches for them. After they cleaned up the kitchen, the bikers were ready to pull out.

They rode through the night, pulling into a campground just outside of Gulfport, Mississippi mid-morning. Rainy went right to work helping the others set up the camp. After everything was done, she went for a short walk. She followed Grisly as he wandered around the camp. She heard yelling, and it didn’t take her long to realize it was Decker calling her. She scooped up Grisly and headed back. Decker was glaring at her. “What’s wrong?” she asked.

  “Where did you go?”

“I took Grisly for a walk. You don’t want him doing his business next to our tent, do you?”

“You stay close. I don’t need to have to look for you, Sassy.” She wanted to pop off to him, but the mood he was in told her that would be a mistake.

  “Okay,” she mumbled.

When she glanced back up, his eyes bore right into her’s. “I’m not playing with you. Stay put!”

Rainy heard laughter and looked over her shoulder. Maddog and his old lady were two tents away. Maybe that’s why Decker is being a dick?

  ***

Rainy was told to stay by the tent and not leave until Decker returned. But Decker wasn’t there, and she was hot and felt dirty. She went to the restrooms and washed her face. When she came out, she let Grisly down so he could walk around. He took off like a bullet. She had to run to keep up with him. After a few minutes, Rainy slowed down. She was out of breath and figured as long as she could see the dog, he was okay. A biker and his old lady from another club stopped her. “If that’s your dog, you better get him before he gets to that river. A big gator is in the water, and he got one of our dogs about a year ago.”

“Okay, thanks for telling me,” she said and took off running, calling Grisly. The little dog disappeared down the grassy bank of the river. Grisly was barking and running back and forth when she caught up to him. “Grisly stop!” She ordered. But the dog was going ballistic. And he wouldn’t stop. “Come here, Gris..” Just then, the gator came up out of the water with his mouth wide open. Grisly jumped out of his way just in time. The gator’s mouth snapped shut. “Grisly, come here!” Rainy cried. Only the dog kept barking and dancing around. The large gator went back under water. Rainy figured that gave her time to grab the dog and get away from this damn river. She started her descent down the grassy river bank. Grisly ran away
from her towards the bridge. Rainy followed him, going down on her knees and calling him softly. But Grisly had other ideas, and he continued to taunt the gator who was just under the surface of the water. She inched her way closer to the dog. Finally, she grabbed him and he yelped. Before she could stand back up, the gator lunged at her. Rainy came up, throwing the dog behind her so he would land up on the upper bank. That caused her to fall. She was spidering backwards to get back up the bank, but it did her no good. The large beast clamped down on her right ankle full force. Rainy managed to turn and grab onto a bush. The gator started to pull her towards the river. And even if she was in shock, her survival instincts kicked in. She knew if the gator got her in the water, she was dead. Grabbing on to another bush, she pulled as hard as she could, trying to get closer to the bridge. The gator was tugging on her foot. Rainy got hold of a small tree that was growing on the bank. Holding on with all she had, she prayed the tree didn’t give way. Feeling no pain, she knew she was in shock. For a few moments, the gator didn’t move. And she knew he was getting ready to take her under. This is when your life flashes in front of your eyes, she was thinking. Looking over her shoulder, she saw the gator half out of the water. And then he started his death roll. She screamed as her hip and knee popped out of place. Even if the giant reptile ripped her leg off, she could still live without a leg. And live was what she was fighting to do. But she knew she was done for. As hard as she tried to hold on to the tree, she couldn’t, losing her grip as her hands slipped off. She felt the water as the gator drug her into the river. Then there were a series of gunshot blasts. The gator stopped moving, but the pressure was still on her foot. The gator’s jaws were still clamped down on her ankle. She was face down and didn’t know who was there. Then the gator started to pull her again. Three more gunshots rang out.
