“I love that you did,” he said. “I love that you wanted to be there for me even when I broke your heart. It won’t be easy being with me. But I promise to always be honest about how I’m feeling.”
She cupped his face and kissed him again. “We all have our issues, right? I’m far from perfect.”
“I don’t know, you seem pretty perfect to me. Other than your truly terrible pool playing skills.”
She laughed and poked him in his flat stomach. “I make up for it with my truly amazing sex skills.”
He purred loudly and nuzzled her neck. “You certainly do, little tiger. Speaking of which, why don’t we get you naked and see where it leads.”
She purred back and reached for the buttons on her shirt. “That, Mr. Shepherd, is an excellent idea.”
