Oh, god, the sensations rocketed through her body could not be described.
“Are you going to come for me?” he asked softly, his fingers doing delicious things to her body with this new type of ministration,
“Yes, god yes,” she whispered. “Just for you, only for you.”
A loud groan escaped him at her words and Eden whispered his name. He increased the rhythm until the walls of her sex contracted around his fingers.
Eden blindly reached for the headboard to anchor herself. A cry escaped her and she undulated against his hand drawing out every drop of her release. He wasn’t done, as Jacob drove her high again, with his lips at her breast and his fingers within her wet sex. Desire enflamed her senses until she was wild and she careened off the edge of a second release. Eden reached between them and felt his cock throbbing heavy in her hands.
“Eden, you make me want you like I didn’t think was possible,” he groaned. It was like he absorbed each shudder that ran though her, and it heightened his own pleasure. He found every secret spot that made her crave even more. She couldn’t even think clearly as his hand and fingers did delicious things to her body.
She’d didn’t think their flame would reignite like this after over a year of being apart, but she had been wrong.
Jacob wrapped his arms around her and pulled Eden against his chest as he rolled and took her with him. She now moved sensuously above him while their kiss built to a frenzy and he kissed her senseless. They strove to touch anywhere and everywhere while their tongues dueled and Jacob cupped his hand behind her neck holding her so he could dominate the kiss.
“I want you now,” she whispered urgently against his mouth. She didn’t wait for his reply, Eden took control as she straddled his thighs and slid eagerly down on his shaft. A moan escaped her parted lips, the feeling of him inside her, moving against her slick walls almost drove her to the edge again. She looked down and Jacob’s teeth were gritted for control while she flexed her hips downward and her sex sheathed him like a velvet glove. He fit her like perfection as he cupped the smooth cheeks of her ass with firm hands. The hard driving rhythm began until Eden matched his thrusts with the undulation of her hips.
They were soon moving in unison, driving each other to the edge of reason.
“Damn, how I missed you.” Jacob said in a deep strained voice.
“I missed you too,” Eden gasped. “And all of this.” She set the pace to drive Jacob mad with need as Eden rode him faster, picking up the speed and then slowing down again, deliberately taking his cock inside her by slow agonizing inch.
“Enough.” The word was a demand before Jacob cupped her cheeks and brought her down for a soul-shattering kiss as they moved together.
Giving into the order from the man who lay beneath her, Eden increased the pace.
Jacob raised his head to take one of her nipples between his lips and sucked it deep into his mouth.
Eden cried out as her body trembled.
“That’s what you get for teasing me,” he murmured with a smile. Jacob’s hips were tight on hers and he held her to him while he pumped into her hard.
The sound of their bodies combined with his carnal grunts only fueled her need. She felt herself reaching the pinnacle of pure bliss while being impaled on his hard length. A cry of surprise escaped her when her release hit her hard and fast.
Jacob followed her over the precipice and the sensations from their orgasm caused shudders from his body to hers.
Eden fell against him completely sated as she pressed soft kisses against his neck and collarbone.
Jacob chuckled at the sweet display of affection before wrapping his arms around her again and turning her to her side. “You can keep that up for a while, I don’t mind.” He heaved a long breath out.
“Now, you want to be caressed like satisfied bear,” Eden teased as she ran her hand over his naked back.
“Are you saying you mind?” Jacob asked smiling at her.
“Not in the least,” Eden answered. “We should get cleaned up and get some sleep before she wakes up hungry.”
“My first three A.M bottle feeding,” he said.
“Oh yeah, you’re the newbie.” Eden patted his chest. “Tag, you’re it.”
“This fatherhood and family thing isn’t too bad.” He rolled away. “Come take another quick shower with me.”
It didn’t end up being a really quick shower but when she finally came out of the bathroom her legs were weak and she was glad to fall into his wide bed.
Eden barely heard the three o’clock feeding cry, as Jacob rolled away to take care of Sera. Now, in twilight sleep, it finally dawned on her what he was doing with the gifts, one snow day, and two kimonos. Jacob was following the holiday song.
Then she dozed while listening to him talking to the baby softly from the video. A soft smile hinted at her lips when she wondered what else her true love would bring to her and his daughter for Christmas.
Chapter Eight
Waking up with a woman getting ready for work and a baby who seemed to think the first hint of sunshine over the horizon was time to wake up. It was interesting to say the least and by seven, he was in the kitchen making coffee and Sera sat in her highchair.
Eden ran around looking for her shoes she’d kicked off the night before. She didn’t bring a change of clothes, so that meant she would have to drive home, change then go to work.
“It would be much easier if you would consider keeping some clothes here,” Jacob pointed out casually. He actually meant move in but one thing at a time, she was just getting used to him being in their lives.
“I’ll think about it.” Eden bent to look under the bench by the breakfast nook in the kitchen.
“You didn’t come in here last night,” he pointed out amused. Sera cried to be out of the chair, so Jacob moved the plastic counter outward and lifted her into his arms.
Eden stopped and moved her hair out of her face. “Don’t you smile at me Mister. This is technically your fault if I’m late.”
“Is it now?” he said smoothly. “I heard no complaints last night.”
“And you never will.” Eden moved to kiss him, and Sera’s tiny hand patted her on the face. “You sure you want this little tiny troublemaker for another day?”
“Definitely, besides I’m on holiday vacation,” Jacob replied. “I talked to Jordan and the guys. I need the rest of December off for family stuff.”
“Well now, that saves me daycare costs,” Eden said. “The office won’t close until the week of Christmas and then we go back January 3rd.”
“Okay, find your shoes and I’ll feed this little human,” Jacob said casually. The baby was trying to put his finger in her mouth to chew and he definitely felt a tooth on that first bite. “Hey, a tooth is up!”
“No way.” Eden went quickly to wash her hands and then she felt Sera’s swollen gums. “One broke through and the other is almost there. Look at you Pudding baby, you are getting so big!”
“Next up, Barbeque ribs,” Jacob said bouncing Sera in his arms.
“Um, it’s like half of a tooth, all she’d do is drool on it.” Eden laughed as she walked out of the kitchen.
“But you’ll get the taste won’t you,” Jacob talked to the baby while he followed her mother.
Eden found her shoe and slipped it on while she moved towards the door with her satchel briefcase. “Gotta go, I will have fifteen minutes to dress and fix my hair before I head to work.” She kissed Sera. “Love you my baby, see you later.”
“What about me?” Jacob asked with a raised eyebrow.
“See you later and I love you too,” Eden said smiling up at him. “And I know what you’re doing.”
“What am I doing?” Jacob asked, wondering if she knew it was his intention to have her living with him by Christmas morning.
“One, snowy day, two kimonos, are you going to do all twelve or stop at five golden rings?” Eden asked.
Jacob smiled. “You’ll have t
o wait and find out, won’t you? Also, a delivery is coming to your office.”
“Jacob! People there are snoops.” Eden sighed and kissed him. “I need to really go, crazy man.”
He opened the door for her and they both stopped short.
His younger sister, Sonja stood on the doorstep and her hand was reached out to ring the doorbell. Sonja was dressed in her usual fashion that their mother would frown upon. Sonja’s jeans had holes and were frayed down the front as her oversized flowered sweater fell off one shoulder, revealing the thick strap to her shirt. Her hair was in a gray slouch and the bag she carried was overstuffed.
Jacob noted there was a scarf and phone charger wires hanging out of it.
“Ko!” She did a little jog dance. “Oh my god, is this the baby? Is this Sera? Oh, and you have to be Eden.” His sister embraced a confused looking Eden before she baby talked to the Sera in Jacob’s arms.
“Wow déjà vu,” Eden said a bit dazed. “Your family does love to show up on your doorstep a lot, don’t they?”
“Not particularly, no,” Jacob said. “But this is Sonja, so all rhyme and reason goes out of the window.”
“Well, you handle this. I’ll see you tonight after work,” Eden said. “Bye Sonja, nice to meet you, talk to you later.”
“Bye Eden!” Sonja waved energetically.
Jacob watched Eden get into her car with a wave and then he stepped back in. “Come inside, Sonja.”
“I missed you, big brother,” she said. “Nice digs, but I guess you need that with a baby now. Can I hold her?’
“Go wash your hands and you can,” Jacob said with a smile.
His little sister was a ball of energy. Sonja dropped the bag in the middle of the foyer and went through the door to the kitchen.
Jacob shook his head and picked up the bag with his free hand. “That is your Aunt Sonja, she’s insane, but she’s sweet,” he told Sera.
Sonja came rushing into the family room making grabby hands. “Gimme, gimme!”
Jacob let her take the baby and he watched her sister turn into a pile of mush.
“Ko, she is so beautiful, and she smells so good. Hiiii I’m your auntie Sonja, you can just call me Sonja when you can talk. We’re going to be cool like that.”
Sera who seemed to know instinctively that Sonja was a good person, smiled and laughed out in true baby fashion at his sister making faces.
“Sonja, not that is not good to see you, but why are you here?” Jacob asked and gently propelled her toward the sofa with the baby.
“Ko, you can’t just email us and say you have a daughter and not think we wouldn’t come running,” Sonja answered. “Lyn is coming in from Sweden. She should be here by this afternoon. She got on a flight before me.”
“Were either of you planning on telling me?” Jacob asked. Lord, his sister could make him want to pull his hair out sometimes.
“Surprise!” Sonja now bounced Sera on her knees and focused on her. “Seraphine Akira, it suits her... she is a bright light.”
“She certainly is,” Jacob agreed.
Sonja gave him a curious look. “And Eden was here, so you guys got past what Mom did?”
“We’re making headway,” he answered. “Mom did manage to hurt her so much, she ran away.”
“Typical Mom.” Sonja shook her head. “I’m glad you were able to find Eden and this little dumpling.”
“Are you guys staying for Christmas?” Jacob asked.
“If that’s okay, I mean I can go to a hotel and eat Christmas dinner in my room...” Sonja pouted. “fter six weeks in a rain forest...”
“Stop laying it on so thick.” Jacob grinned. “You know you both can stay here and since Lyn is coming, I guess I should put more food in the house.”
“Christmas dinner with the family.” Sonja smiled. “Good times.”
“I was to eat at Eden’s family’s house, but I’ll talk to her mother see if she wants to cook here, with more room,” Jacob replied. “Since my sisters decided to crash the party.”
“Like we could stay away,” Sonja hesitated. “Sorry I didn’t come to Mom’s funeral. I just couldn’t see her like that or... knowing she never had any guilt about destroying our lives.”
“In the end, I think she was sorry.” Jacob’s tone was serious. “But I understand, Lyn...especially.”
“No more sad stuff, its Christmas, and we have this little new one as part of the family.” Sonja smiled brightly. “And will there be a wedding at some point?”
“Somewhere down the line, if she says yes,” he answered. “I’ll email so I can find which corner of the world you’re in and send you an invite.”
That got a laugh from his sister and the baby in her arms squealed in delight.
By the afternoon, it was Jacob and his two sisters who were over the moon in love with Sera. None of them needed to say it, the absence of their mother was poignant and sad. There was also a sense of relief that the toxic relationship was gone. It was time for them to start living and not hiding in every corner of the world.
* * * *
Three large boxes of turtle chocolates shaped like doves came to her office and all the paralegals were thrilled. There was so much and Eden wasn’t a big fan of sweets, so she readily let the others dive right in.
Later that afternoon she was serenaded by a group called the Four Calling Birds. Jacob got permission from her bosses before even sending his gifts and she only knew that because of the female partners in the law firm snagged a few chocolates.
“This guy has to love you, Eden,” she said with a smile. “All of this and you have to be wondering if five golden rings are waiting for you.”
Eden only smiled but her heart did a little trip, wondering if that was part of Jacob’s plan to propose.
She focused on work and by four in the afternoon, they were leaving and on impulse, she went to her house and packed a bag for her and Sera. By the time she opened the door, his home smelled like good food and the laughter from the kitchen made her smile.
“Hi,” Eden said feeling suddenly shy at the door as there was not one, but both sisters there and while Jacob cooked, they sat at the table. The conversation volleyed back and forth. Eden noted that he had the video monitor so he could keep an eye on Sera while she napped.
The last meeting with anyone in his family had her running for the hills, anyone would be nervous around the unknown element of sister she’d never met. Their smiles were warm and friendly while Jacob made introductions.
“I am completely in love with Sera,” Lyn gushed.
His sister Lyn reminded Eden most of his mother. She was put together, neatly dressed except not the business suits, but nice slacks and a satin blouse. Her friendly tone was the exact opposite to the matriarch of the family. There was no reason to ask if they’d be together if their mother were alive.
From Jacob’s explanation, they would not be here if their mother were.
“She’s got a little tooth coming up,” Sonja gushed. “It’s like a little grain of rice.”
“Your brother was trying to give her a barbeque rib,” Eden said dryly.
“I said she could have one,” Jacob countered. “To cut her teeth on.
“That’s what teething rings are for,” she replied. “You’re being like my dad with the waffle method.”
Lyn’s laugh was light. “You’d be surprised, our dad used to give us a rib to chew on. It’s an old custom that many different cultures use. They get the flavor of people food and something to rub on those itchy gums.”
“You sound like you have kids,” Eden said with a smile.
Lyn’s smile was sad and wistful. “Unfortunately, no, it hasn’t been in the cards yet. I don’t know if it ever will.”
“Don’t say that.” Sonja covered her sister’s hand. “Don’t let Mom ruin your life from the grave.”
Eden glanced at Jacob curiously as there was more of a story there.
He spoke gently as if knowing delving into
the past would be hurtful to Lyn, “Lyn went the traditional route to please our mother, and married the man that was chosen for her,” Jacob explained. “He was cruel and abusive but when Lyn tried to broach the subject with mom, she was told to bear the burdens of being a wife no matter what.”
Lyn continued her story, “There was no help there, so to be a good daughter I bore it as long as I could. Until he hurt me enough that I lost a child. I called Ko from the hospital and he came for me.”
“Ko calmly walked her husband outside listening to how it was all my sister’s fault,” Sonja piped in. “Thinking because Ko was a man, he would agree.”
“That night, I showed him what it was like to be hit and terrorized.” Jacob’s voice held a note a finality. “I was the oldest son of the family, so I allowed the divorce while standing in my father’s place. Mom raged and I didn’t care, it was done, and I would do it again.”
“Anyway, that was when I left, and Ko helped me get set up far away from mother.” Lyn sighed. “I was left with some scarring, that makes it difficult but not impossible to have children. My fiancée in Sweden has been more patient than me in that regards.”
“Hell, I would kick his ass for you right now if I could.” Eden felt fury at what his sister went through. “I could never be that mother, whatever Sera needs no matter what age she is, I will always be there.”
“And you are a perfect mother because of it.” Lyn smiled.
“And hey, putting off the level four bio-hazard for a little while longer will help you prepare.” Jacob’s tone lightened the mood.
“And what would that be?” Lyn asked curiously.
Jacob shuddered. “Milk and peas, dear god, it was everywhere.”
Eden had to stem her laughter so she could speak, “And on top of it, he called his doctor friend thinking that Sera was broken.”
This sent the women into laughter.
Jacob looked a little embarrassed but he still grinned. “If you guys are finished laughing at me, Eden, Pudding is up and if you get her, we can get dinner on the table.”
“Will do.” Eden gave him a mock salute.
