Hotshot Deceiver: A Hero Club Novel Page 13

by K E Osborn

He moves his hands to his belt. “I want to keep some items of clothing intact. But if you think your panties are safe from now on, you have another thing coming.”

I tilt my head as I watch him lower his pants. “Promises, promises.”

He shuffles out of his briefs, leaving himself completely naked. He really is the perfect specimen of a man. His hands sliding to my jeans and undoing the button, I sit up a little so he can slide them down and over my legs. My clit’s already throbbing with need as he moves closer, his eyes hooded while his fingers trace the edges of my panties. I know he’s going to make good on his promise. I love these panties, but the thought of him tearing them off me far outweighs the need for me to keep them.

He leans in. His lips smash against mine. There’s no time for gentle moves or politeness here–he’s taking what he wants, and I’m willing to let him have it. He kisses me strongly, his tongue colliding with mine and with such need, with such want. He has a commanding hold over me.

One hand slides up my stomach to my breast, kneading it, pinching my nipple between his fingers. I moan into his mouth as the feelings overtake my body. His other hand slides in between my legs then inside my panties. His finger pushes against my clit. Eddie circles, sliding up and down, getting me worked up for him.

My hips rock, needing the friction. The man has magical fingers, and I can’t seem to get enough of them and him. I moan into his mouth, my high coming nearer. The tight confines of my panties push his hand closer to my pussy, cupping it, which makes warmth radiate through me. The feeling is almost overwhelming as he works me up with one hand on my breast, the other against my clit.

He pushes, circles, rotates, repeats. My breaths become faster and faster. I need air, so I break the kiss. His lips leave mine, finding my neck. His teeth graze along my collarbone, nipping and sucking, making me gasp in delight. He really knows how to push me to the brink.

I’m hungry for him. “God, Eddie,” I whimper.

“Yes, baby, moan for me,” he groans against my ear, then bites hard on my earlobe at the same time as he inserts two fingers inside me. My head throws back in ecstasy. My fingers clench onto the basin, trying to keep my grip. His thumb slides against my clit while he sucks on my ear, his warm breath cascading down my neck. The sensation is enough to have my body lighting up like the Fourth of July.

My muscles clench as tingles cover my skin. My clit throbs as he circles on it again at the same time as he thrusts, and I explode in a wave of blissful torture. My body clenches, then releases in a shuddering mess of pure pleasure.

Eddie wastes no time pulling his hand away from me, his fingers gripping the lacy material of my panties, shredding them with his brute force. I watch as he brings the tattered lace to his nose then he inhales deeply and throws them to the floor.

He moves as I try to recover to turn on the shower. The steam wafts through the room, swarming around our naked bodies. My hair’s already up in a messy bun, so I’m good to go as he scoops me up, my legs wrapping around him as he walks with me straight into the shower. My arms loop around his neck for support, but feeling his hard cock pressed against me is making me all kinds of crazy.

The hot water slides along my skin as we walk in. The door shuts behind us as he presses me up against the back wall. He leans in, kissing me. I need him so bad that I wriggle my hips, letting him know what I want. He doesn’t seem to want to wait either. He pulls back slightly, adjusting the position of his cock, then we both still for a moment, our eyes connecting, then he slowly thrusts inside me, stretching me and delving deep.

We pant as he fills me to the hilt. Energy surges through me. Being with Eddie feels like a part of me has been missing for so long, and when we connect, it’s like I’m finally back in one piece.

Our eyes lock. I see it register in his too.

It’s like he knows we’re finally in the right place.

  We’re both home.

He starts to move, pulling back and thrusting again. His hand moves from my ass to pull my fingers away from his neck. He grips my wrist, pinning it to the wall of the shower.

I bite down on my bottom lip, loving that even in a moment when I’m feeling the obvious connection between us, he still finds a way to be the dominant man in the bedroom. I’ve come to adore this part of him—the strong, controlling role he plays. It’s such a turn-on. He’s a soft, kind-hearted guy in every other part of the day—maybe a little cocky—but when it comes to this, to sex, Eddie’s all man, all macho, and I adore the way he makes love to me.

He thrusts harder again, pushing in deep, his lips coming down to bite the side of my neck. It sends a tingle to my pussy.

“Fuck, you feel so good,” he murmurs against my neck.

I pant for air, not able to reply as he grips onto my wrist and works me harder than ever before. The pressure’s building. I love the way his body moves with mine, the way our bodies are rocking together to get the best from each other. He needs me as much as I need him. We’re in this together as he pounds me against the wall higher, higher, and higher.

Desire rises inside of me. I gasp for much-needed air. He’s taking everything from me and providing me with pleasure I so desperately crave, which now rolls through my entire body.

Eddie pushes deep, hard, at the same time as he rolls his hips in such a way that has me seeing stars. I moan out his name, but it’s near on unintelligible as my muscles tighten, my breath catches in my throat, and his body begins to shudder. I know he’s as close as I am.

I tense my core muscles while he fucks me harder as my nails claw into his back. Eddie’s cock jerks inside of me, throbbing as he groans loudly. The feeling of his release sets me going, and my body convulses, an explosion pummeling through me, the same time as he’s experiencing his.

We both pant as his hold becomes weak, and instead of giving in, he pushes his body against mine on the wall to hold me in place. I slowly lower my legs to gather some stability as we continue to slowly and tenderly kiss.

My heart hammers in my chest as my fingers run up and into his hair, just needing to touch him in a soothing way. His hands slide up and down my arms, his touch everything I need right now.

We slowly pull back from our kiss and simply stare at each other while still a little short of breath.

His lips turn up in his usual way—it’s fucking dazzling. “I’ve never had sex with anyone without a condom.” He leans in, kissing me again briefly before pulling back. “I don’t ever want to have sex with you any other way. It felt so fucking good.”

I smile. “Lucky I’m on the pill then because I’m totally on board with this plan.”

The steam fogs up the glass so much it’s hard to see anything but him. “I think we should shower together more often.”

I turn slightly, moving under the water, letting the hot droplets pummel my sensitive skin. It feels like heaven. Eddie wraps himself around me, resting his chin on top of my head as I cuddle into his chest.

“I wish you could be here every day, Eddie. I love having you here.”

His hands run up and down my back soothingly as he softly exhales. “You want me to move in?”

Calm washes over me. “Would you like to?”

The corners of his lips turn up. “I think we need to talk about this a little more in-depth, perhaps not after such mind-blowing sex. But it is a great idea. For now, though, we need to wash and go, or we’re going to be late.”

I lean up on my toes, pressing my lips to Eddie’s.

I think he’s agreed to move in with me.

  Holy shit.

  Things just got super serious.

As we pull up outside the bar, I can’t help but feel a little excited. Eddie and I normally go out to restaurants or eat at home, watching Netflix. This is the first time we’ve gone out somewhere a little more upbeat. Our relationship has been more like an old married couple’s than newbies starting out. Though, we’ve been having a lot of sex. I know we shou
ld have been heading out and spending time with our friends, but we both seem to prefer being at home with Polly and spending time together.

We seem to be doing this the wrong way, but I am all for it.

Some might call it boring—I call it comfortable.

  It’s us.

But I have to admit, coming to a bar tonight with music pumping around us and having a few drinks and letting loose, does sound like fun.

Eddie opens the door, letting me walk through. The air’s filled with fake smoke from the tacky smoke machine located at the front of the stage where I hear people performing extremely bad karaoke. Eddie places his hand on my lower back, leading me through the swarm. It’s packed in here for a Saturday in the heat of a long summer’s night. Sweat tops my brow as we push past the mass of bodies who are all drinking and flirting with each other.

My body warms, knowing I don’t have to do that shit anymore.

My eyes open wide when I see Paisley sitting with some random guy. He is hot. He has an aura about him, and he appears younger than Eddie. The thing is, my sheepish best friend is sitting far too close to him while twirling her hair around her finger and laughing a little too zealously. Oh yeah, she’s trying everything she can to land this bad boy.

Eddie leads me to the table and low stools they’re sitting at as if he knew they would be here. Paisley and the guy’s eyes shoot up, noticing us. Both their faces light up as if the guy knows us as well.

“Eddie! Finally. Thought I was going to have to get this party started without you,” the bad boy chimes in.

Paisley giggles like a sixteen-year-old girl as I turn to Eddie, gesturing for him to introduce me. “This is Jase Malone, head of marketing where I work.”

My eyes bug open. “Ah… the mysterious little shithead Jase. They breed them hot at your workplace,” I blurt out.

Shit! Bad boy Jase chuckles as I inwardly sink inside at my inability to keep my thoughts to myself.

“You’re right, bro. She does say whatever she thinks,” Jase mutters with panty-dropping effortlessness. His hair’s a little longer than normal, almost touching his shoulders. Jase’s baby face has a cheekiness which tells me he really is all bad boy. He might seem young, probably early twenties, but there’s an old-world charm to the way he carries himself. The man’s a player, and my friend is falling right into his manwhore magnetism as she fawns all over him.

“She does. It’s one of the reasons I’m sticking around.”

What a weird thing to say. Why? Is he trying to find a reason?

  Those words unsettle me.

Jase seems to notice my shift in mood as he slides off the seat, standing to greet me properly. “Eddie’s told me so much about you. He practically doesn’t shut the hell up about you at work. I mean… the guy’s got a serious hard-on for you.” Jase tries to cover up for Eddie’s failing.

  He should keep going.

“Oh… he does, does he? It’s funny ’cause he hardly mentions you or the fact that you both have the same last name.”

Eddie tenses, his eyes widening as Jase tilts his head with a smirk. “Yeah, that’s so weird, right?” Jase quips, staring at Eddie.

I narrow my eyes at Eddie wondering why he’s not saying anything, so I continue. “He doesn’t talk about his work either. Actually, I hardly even know what Eddie does.”

Jase glares at Eddie like he wants him to take the lead. Eddie waves his hand through the air as if to brush that whole conversation off. “So, now that we all know each other, how about we get a drink? On me, of course?”

“Sounds great to me,” Paisley yells out, grabbing Jase by the arm. Jase flashes his pearly whites at her, and they walk off to the bar.

  “He’s a charmer,” I murmur to Eddie.

“He’s abrupt. But once he loosens up, you’ll like him. I promise.”

There are a few things I’m concerned about. Is Paisley falling into a trap she can’t get out of? Why am I only just meeting Jase now? And why the hell do Jase and Eddie have the same surname?

This is going to be an interesting night.

  Chapter Thirteen

Three hours, two wines, four tequilas, and a Jägerbomb later—I like Jase. In fact, I like everyone at the bar. The four of us are having the best time. We’re laughing, talking about the flaws in our favorite television shows, and generally discussing the things we want to do in our lives but would never have the guts to actually do.

“I want to bungee jump in New Zealand,” Jase admits.

I widen my eyes in shock. “I’m actually surprised you haven’t bungee jumped already. You really look the type.”

  He scoffs. “There’s a type?”

I roll my shoulders in a shrug. “I mean, the long hair, the surfer necklace, the rock ‘n’ roll nothing-can-touch-me vibe… yeah, you seem like a daredevil.

He chuckles, and so does Eddie. “I think you read him completely wrong, hummingbird.”

  I’m confused. “What? Why?”

  “Jase is scared of heights.”

I gasp, turning to face him as he dips his head in agreement while Paisley snickers. “No fucking way! Why the hell would you wanna bungee jump, then?”

Jase exhales. “To push my limits…” He grins. “I like living on the edge.”

Paisley holds onto Jase’s arm. “I wanna get on a stage and perform a pole dancing routine,” she yells out, just as the people doing karaoke finish their song, and the room goes quiet.

Everyone turns around. Her cheeks flush crimson as the crowd bursts out cheering. Jase dips his head seeming impressed by her. Paisley might dress and appear innocent, but I know from spending a lot of alone-time with her that the saying of ‘you have to watch out for the quiet ones’ is one hundred percent true.

Another terrible singer starts, and I cringe as Eddie watches me intensely. So, I turn to him. “What do you wanna do, Eddie?”

He sits back in his chair, taking another drink of his soda water. “I want to get out from under my father’s grip.”

We all focus our attention on him, especially Jase, who looks like he had no idea that little tidbit was coming. “Shit, bro… that’s heavy.”

Eddie clears his throat, then throws back the remnants of his soda water. Then his eyes meet mine. “Hummingbird, what do you want?” he asks as the drunk guy on stage completely butchers a Shawn Mendes ballad.

I glance to the stage in my drunken state. “I want to get up on stage and show these drunken fools how to really sing karaoke.”

Eddie’s face lights up like I’ve said the best thing in the world to him. He leans in, pressing a kiss to my cheek. “Well, c’mon then, let’s get you on stage. Where you’re meant to be.”

My stomach flutters. I don’t know whether it’s nerves or knowing I shouldn’t be getting up there, but I’m drunk, I don’t care, and it’s only karaoke.

  What harm can it do?

No one knows who I am. No one besides Paisley and Eddie knows who my family is.

  Nothing’s going to happen.

Eddie drags me to the side of the stage as my stomach twists and turns. I haven’t sung in public for so damn long. Shit! I think the tequila’s wearing off.

You’re just doing this for fun, Lyri.

  It’s just fun.

Eddie steps up with the brightest of expressions on his face, which relaxes me instantly as he places his hands on my shoulders. “I’m so proud of you right now, Lyric. Do you have a particular song you wanna sing?”

I delve deep into his blue aster-colored eyes, and I know exactly what I want to sing. The words of the song will tell Eddie everything I want to say to him. Everything about what I’m about to do and also of the life I want to make with him.

It’s a song which explains two things at the same time. Letting go of my past, a past where singing was my life, and holding onto Corey and what he did. But secondly, it’s all about moving forward with Eddie. He’s my new home. I need him to know that.

  “‘Walking Away’ by U
nspoken.”

He seems to understand what I’m telling him—that my life is with him now. I choose him. And I’m walking into a brighter life with him. His hands come out, cupping either side of my face as he leans in. His lips touch mine softly, and that spark, the same one I felt the first time he kissed me, is still there. I moan into his mouth as his tongue dances with mine, the hint of lime from his soda is refreshing while his hand tightens around my waist.

  I want him.

  I need him.

Kissing Eddie is the only thing that makes me feel like the world is on its right axis.

I fucking love my life right now.

Me, Eddie, our life together, it’s so damn perfect. Kissing him with a little buzz is even more intoxicating than I could have ever imagined. I can’t wait to fuck him when we get home. We haven’t had drunk sex before—that will be something new. I pull Eddie closer, kissing him deeper, when the karaoke guy clears his throat, gaining our attention. My damn clit is throbbing with need as I groan out my disapproval. Eddie chuckles, slowly pulling back, making us part lips.

The karaoke dude tilts his head toward the stage. “It’s your turn, love.”

I beam at Eddie, then turn to leave, but he pulls me back, and our eyes lock. He stares at me. There’s something passing between us—a moment, a connection. I feel the room vibrating with the energy surrounding us. ‘I love you,’ Eddie mouths.

My heart leaps into my throat, and I blink a few times.

It’s the first time either of us have mentioned the L-word.

I don’t know if it’s the buzz from the alcohol or the complete high I’m on right now, but I feel like I’m on top of the fucking world. ‘I love you,’ I mouth back.

His entire face shines so damn brightly it’s like a neon light. Eddie grips my shoulders and spins me to face the stage, pushing me toward it. I take a deep breath. My eyes follow Eddie walking to the back of the room to sit with Paisley and Jase. I feel like my entire body’s floating above my head. Like I’m drunk all over again just from his three little words.
