Hot SEAL, Alaskan Nights (SEALs in Paradise) Page 12

He kissed his way up the softness of her thighs, to her stomach, and then to her breasts. “Oh, honey, I’m starving to sample every square inch of you.”

  He licked her nipple.

“I want to slide my tongue from the back of your neck to the curve of your ankle, and everywhere in between.”

  She shivered.

So, his gal liked dirty talk. Who would’ve thought that?

When his mouth closed over one breast, she moaned, and her head dropped back on her shoulders. She fumbled to unbutton his jeans and attack the zipper. He hissed as the zipper slider glided over his cock and the teeth separated.

She plunged her hand inside his dark blue boxers and her fingers wrapped around him. He sucked in a breath and held it. His girth would take both hands to completely surround it, but she’d work with what she had. With a tight grasp, she eased her hand up the velvet-covered thickness.

After one stroke, he jerked her hand out of his pants. “Sorry. I’m too on edge. I’ve wanted you since the moment I laid eyes on you. And now that you’re here, I’m ready to explode. Touch me again, and it’ll all be over. Get on the bed.”

She arched an eyebrow at him as though trying to decide if she should challenge the harsh tone of his order. But in the end, she climbed onto the bed and then rose to her knees.

Pointing to his chest, she said, “Shirt off.”

Grinning, he lifted his shirt over his head and tossed it into the corner.

She crooked a finger. “Come closer.”

  He did.

With a slow nod, she ran her fingertips over his abdomen then slid her palms up his chest, over his shoulders, and down his arms. Then she retraced her movements until her hands glided around his waist.

“Turn around.” Her voice was strained to the point, she hardly sounded like herself.

After he faced the wall, her fingers stroked his back and traced the edge of his muscles. He startled when the tip of her tongue touched between his shoulders and followed the trail left by her fingers. Warm, full lips followed, leaving a path of kisses across his upper back and then down his spine, stopped only by the waistband of his shorts. A firestorm whirled inside him when she ran the tip her tongue up his spine to his neck and over to his left ear.

“I’ve seen a lot of male bodies in my life,” she whispered into his ear. “Professionally, that is. But you are, without a doubt, the sexiest man I have ever seen.”

He turned and jerked her forward, taking her mouth in a hard, bruising kiss. His cock strained painfully in its restricted space. When he thought it impossible to get harder, she pushed her hand back inside his underwear—that he wore for her—and wrapped her fingers tightly around him. He hissed out a long, “Fuuucckkk.”

She removed her hand and pointed to his crotch. “Pants off. Now.”

He loved this cavewoman talk. With a grin, he shoved his shorts and underwear to the floor. He slipped off his sandals and used his toes to nudge his shorts out of the way but close enough to the bed to keep necessary supplies within reach.

The look on her face as she studied his body made the hours of running and lifting weights worth every drop of sweat. Before he could stop her, and he wondered later if he would have even tried, she bent over and licked the slit in the head of his dick. He widened his stance to retain balance, and his back stiffened as though he were at attention. Looking down at his staining cock and the spill of long auburn hair spread over his thighs and groin, he clenched his teeth and fought the orgasm clawing its way out of him.

Bailey slid her hot mouth down his shaft and sucked. He flexed his hands then threaded his fingers through her hair and pulled the strands trapped between his fingers.

“Damn it, Bailey.” He groaned. “Stop.”

She used firm suction as she withdrew his granite-hard cock from her mouth. Then, using both hands, she wrapped her fingers around his shaft’s base and squeezed firmly. He set his hands over hers and added the strength of his fingers to her efforts to stem his climax. Within a minute, the building orgasm receded, not enough to allow him much time for foreplay, but enough for now. He blew out a long sigh.

“Better?” she asked with a smile.

He pushed her shoulders and she dropped backwards onto the mattress. “You like playing with fire, Bailey?”

She scooted up the bed farther away with a teasing grin.

On his knees, he stalked her until he’d settled between her legs. “Damn, you are beautiful.” He pushed a few strands of hair off her face and kissed her.

“The invitation for this party said proper attire required.” Her eyes twinkled as the corners of her mouth quirked up.

He smiled and leaned over the bed to retrieve a condom from his shorts. When she reached for the condom, he shook his head. “I would love to spend hours exploring every curve of your body and let you touch me anyway you want, but I’m close to being Mount Vesuvius.” He slid the condom down his cock. “Hell, Bailey, even my own touch putting on this damn thing is almost too much.”

  “Then take us home, handsome.”

He thrust into her in one long drive. She gasped and arched her hips in invitation. He withdrew and slammed into her again. Much to his frustration, this wasn’t going to last long. He was too over his head in lust and longing for Bailey. Not any woman, but her. Seated deep inside her felt like he was where he was supposed to be.

“Sorry, honey, but this isn’t going to be long. You’ve got me revved up.”

She wrapped her long legs around his waist. “Bring it.”

This woman got him, understood him. He slammed into her again and again until he heard her cry out, her canal milking his cock. His own orgasm hit him like a tsunami, dragging him down as he groaned out her name.

They lay entwined in each other’s limbs for a few minutes, both breathing heavily.

“That was…” Bailey said, then stopped and drew in a deep breath.

“Fabulous? Incredible? The best thing ever?” He leaned up on his elbows to look down at her.

“Yes,” she replied with a satisfied smile. “Exactly.”

  “Me, too.”

He left the bed to take care of the condom and was surprised to find her gone when he returned. It didn’t take long to find her on the deck, a blanket wrapped around her still nude body.

“What are you doing out here?” he asked. He took the blanket from her and wrapped it around both of them, their exposed skin heating up the interior.

“It’s so beautiful.” She gestured toward the last rays of the sun dropping below the horizon. “I’ve always thought daybreak to be the best time of the day, but these sunsets are something to behold.”

“As beautiful as those might be, they can never hold a candle to the woman I hold in my arms.”

She snuggled closer, as if that were possible.

  “Want a brown bear?”

Her head turned toward him with a lifted eyebrow. “A brown bear? I’m fairly sure those make lousy pets.”

  He chuckled. “Be right back.”

He wrapped her up again to protect her luscious flesh from the cool night air and headed into the kitchen. When he returned, he handed her a mug with steam-rising into the night. “A brown bear,” he said and waited for her response.

She took a sip and her eyes opened wide. “This is delicious. What’s in here?”

“Hot chocolate with a little Irish cream. A brown bear.”

“Yummy, but you’re not expecting me to share, are you?”

“The drink? Nope. The blanket? Um, yeah.”

She laughed and offered up the edge of the blanket. He rewrapped them and then tugged her and her drink over to a wooden Adirondack chair, sat, and pulled her into his lap.

She wiggled in protest. “I’m too heavy to sit in your lap.”

His response was to tighten his arms and hold firm. “Not hardly, darlin’.”

They watched the sun disappear as she drank the brown bear hot chocolate.

  “Can yo
u tell me what happened?” she said.

  “When?”

“Your gunshot. Can you tell me, or is it classified?”

“A lot of the mission is classified, but I’ll tell you what I can.”

  She nodded.

“We were on a mission in another hellhole that no one in his right mind would want to go to.”

  “Sounds delightful.”

He chuckled. “Yeah. Let’s say I won’t be scheduling a vacation there any time soon. Anyway, we went in to get someone being held by some people we don’t like and certainly don’t trust. They were not happy with our taking their new plaything and let their disapproval be known with a hail of bullets.”

She set the empty mug on a side table so she could put her arms around his neck. “Jesus, Levi.”

He shrugged. “It’s my job. Most of the time, people aren’t trying to kill me, but this night, they were. We couldn’t travel as fast as we usually do because the guy was hurt. As we got closer to the copter that was going to take our asses home, our not-friends caught up with us, as did their spray of bullets. I stayed back laying down rear cover, while guys in the copter were helping with cover from that direction. Once I could see that my team had gotten our guy close enough to the copter, I started running. I was making a flying leap through the door when some asshole shot me.”

“You are very lucky,” she said. “There are a million different directions that bullet could have gone, including breaking bones or striking organs in your pelvis or colon.”

He shivered. “Don’t remind me.” He hugged her tighter. “Personally, I’ll always be thankful for that bullet. It brought you to me.”

“I’d have rather had you come to my office for a hangnail than a bullet wound.”

“But right now, being a Navy SEAL is my job, my life. I’ll be returning to that life soon.”

“I’m a big girl. I’m going into this with my eyes open.”

“Come on back inside. I’ve got something else in mind I’d like to see open.” He pumped his eyebrows for effect.

She laughed and stood, pulling as much of the blanket as she could. “Come on, Navy SEAL. Let’s see what you’ve got.”

After another round of incredible sex, both of them dropped into an exhausted sleep. When the sun poked rays through the slit in the curtains, Levi rolled over and spooned around Bailey. With a sleepy sigh, she settled against him. From her even breaths, he didn’t think she’d awoken during the position change. He had and his cock definitely had. Long auburn tresses teased his nose, and he inhaled the scent of strawberries and cinnamon. He hadn’t come home looking for a relationship. Hell, he didn’t want a relationship but, at this moment, he couldn’t imagine any other woman in his arms. He didn’t want another woman in his arms.

His parents had always joked that when they met, there had been a click. They’d just known that they would be in each other’s lives forever. They’d even married ten days after they’d met, which had always sounded crazy to him. But seeing as they’d been together for over forty-four years, obviously they’d been right.

When he’d met Bailey, he’d felt a click in his chest, like when he turned a key in a lock. What had been fixed and immovable now rotated freely. Is this what his parents had meant?

Bailey stretched her arms and yawned then her movement froze. “Levi?”

“It better be me or there’s some guy I’m going to need to kill.”

Her chuckle made the mattress vibrate. “I’ve got to get moving,” she said. “I can’t believe I fell asleep.”

“Well, you expended a lot of energy last night, you know, begging and pleading with me.”

She looked over her shoulder. “Funny. That’s not how I remember it. Seems like you were the one doing all the begging.”

He hugged her. “Can’t shame me,” he said. “I’m happy to beg if we can repeat last night. Come back tonight. Bring your clothes for the next day, and stay with me.”

His breath held as he waited for her response. “Maybe. I don’t want my grandmother to worry if I don’t come home.”

  “And this morning?”

“If we get a move on, I think I can get in before she wakes up.”

“Move on, it is. But think about staying tonight. I’ll fix dinner.” He said the last like the bribe it was.

  “I’ll think about it.”

As they backed out of the drive, their movements were followed in a pair of strong field glasses. The expensive binoculars were powerful enough that the user could see every hair out of place on Bailey’s head. And that simply wasn’t acceptable.

Bailey belonged to him, not this guy, a guy who would probably die in some shithole. She deserved more. She might not realize it yet, but her future was as his wife, as the mother of his children. They would travel and see the world. She would have nannies for the kids, of course, since her focus would be on him and his needs. There’d be servants for the houses they’d own. He was offering her the world, nothing this worthless Alaskan could give her. He was the only one who understood Bailey, understood her need to be submissive to her husband. She was someone who needed a strong hand to guide her, and he was the man for the job.

The quicker he could get his ring on her finger and his baby in her belly, the happier Bailey would be. He would make sure of that.

  Chapter 13

Bailey was exhausted. Lack of sleep did that to a person. But she wasn’t complaining. Nope, far from it. Last night had been better than some of her best erotic fantasies.

Luckily, the patient load stayed steady all day, and none of her patient conditions had been mentally taxing. A sprained finger. An infected splinter. One case of infant dehydration from vomiting.

At four, she slumped into her office chair and let her head fall forward onto her desk. She questioned whether heading back to the house and a night with Levi was a good idea. Maybe she should take the night off and get to sleep early.

On the other hand, she didn’t have a lot of time left with him, about eight days or so was her guestimate. She could always sleep later. Time with Levi might be a once in a lifetime thing. When he returned to California and she left Alaska for Texas, would they ever see each other again? Who knew? What she did know was that he touched her in ways no one had before. Not physical touches, although all his moves and touches were incredible, but in emotional and intangible ways. She’d thought herself in love before, but there was something different about Levi.

  “Bailey?”

She lifted her head and looked at Molly in the door. “What?”

  “Levi is on line one.”

She frowned. Why hadn’t he called her cell phone? “Okay.” She sat up and lifted the receiver before punching the button for line one. “Hello?”

  “How was your day?”

His deep voice was velvety smooth and radiated into her core. Damn if just his voice didn’t make her aroused. She fidgeted in her chair and squeezed her thighs together.

  “Long. Tiring. Yours?”

  “Fishing with my dad.”

  “Sounds wonderful.”

“It was. I have some fresh salmon for dinner. Interested?”

She hesitated but only briefly. Wasn’t this just the conversation she’d been having with herself? “Yes, I’m interested,” she said. “And I’d love some salmon, too.”

He laughed. “Pick you up about six?”

“Let me drive myself,” she said. “That way, you won’t have to bring me back to my grandmother’s house to get my truck in the morning.”

“Can you find your way back to the house?”

“I think so. I’ll be there by six.”

  “See you tonight.”

By the time she got home, it was close to five. She was surprised to see a shiny, new unfamiliar truck parked in front of her grandmother’s house. Did Cherry have company? Was Levi here with a new truck?

After parking in the rear of the house, she let herself in the back door, hung up her light wrap, and toed off her s
hoes. Her grandmother’s laugh echoed from the living room, followed by a deep voice…a voice that wasn’t Levi’s. She walked through the kitchen and into the living room and stopped as abruptly as if she’d hit an invisible wall. Her heart and blood pressure leapt through the roof. Her stomach roiled with gastric acid. Her vision momentarily blurred, but when that cleared, she saw her worst nightmare sitting on her grandmother’s sofa.

Her grandmother looked up when Bailey entered. “Bailey. Look who’s here. Frank said he was in the neighborhood. Said when your parents found out he was coming up, they insisted he come by and see how things are going. Isn’t that sweet?”

A metallic tang coated the back of her throat. She swallowed against the rising nausea that threatened to make its presence known.

The man, “Frank” as he’d introduced himself, stood and gave her a bright smile. “Surprise, honey.”

“Get. Out.” She pointed toward the front door. “Get out now, or I’m calling the police.”

“Bailey?” Her grandmother struggled to her feet. “I don’t understand. What’s going on?”

“This is Curtis Madden, the piece of shit who put me in the hospital.”

Curtis held out his hands. “Now, honey, you know that was a misunderstanding.” He looked at her grandmother. “A complete accident.”

“You are violating the restraining order,” Bailey said and gestured toward the door. “Leave now, and maybe I won’t call the cops.”

“But he said his name was Frank,” her grandmother protested.

Bailey turned toward her grandmother. “It is. Franklin Curtis Madden. Sorry, Grandma. He’s such a smooth liar. It’s easy to be fooled by him.” She whirled toward Curtis and noticed he’d taken a few steps toward her. She stepped back. “Get. Out. Now,” she shouted.

His face darkened. His jaw great taut. “This isn’t over, Bailey. Not by a long shot. You belong to me. We will be together.” Curtis looked over at Cherry Ellis. “I’m sorry to have upset you, Cherry.”

Cherry Ellis straightened her spine as much as she could. “That’s Mrs. Ellis to you. Now, you’ve heard my granddaughter. Leave and don’t come back.”
