My body relaxed, and I opened my eyes to see him hovering over me. His lips met mine, and he pushed his tongue inside my mouth. I pulled him and spread my legs wide, attempting to force his manhood inside me.

“You’ll get it.” He laughed softly as he resisted me. “I want you to come again first.”

Fire ignited through my body, and I tried again to force him inside me. “Please, Troy.” More of a whimper than anything.

He laughed again, his fingers fondling my nipples. “Patience baby, patience.” He lowered his lips to my breasts.

“Troy,” my pussy was aching, “I need you now.” Impatience in my tone.

He ignored my words, biting and squeezing my nipples. I could feel his erection growing against my mound. I let out a heavy sigh, deciding to allow myself to enjoy the foreplay.

He squeezed and bit my nipples harder, causing bolts of energy to shoot through my clit. I had never met a man who could make me come that way. It was exhilarating. I made a clumsy attempt at reaching for his cock, but he blocked me.

“Nope.” He chuckled, and I easily gave up.

Honestly, I was content to let him do the work. After all, I let him come in my mouth and swallowed. “Fuck me, Troy.” My body was tensing up, my climax imminent.

He shook his head and bit my nipples harder. “Come first.” He demanded.

As if on command, my muscles tensed. I screamed out and spread my legs wider as my juices flowed out from my hole.

“Troy, please.” I begged, my breathing labored.

  “Turn over.” He ordered.

Before I was even completely over, he grabbed my hips and pulled them toward him. He spread my ass open and let out a gruff moan. He slipped his forefinger inside me but quickly pulled it back out. I stifled a disappointed sigh just as his finger touched my forbidden hole. I took a deep breath.

“Yes.” I whispered. I loved it when he played with my ass. I wanted him to fill me up with his manhood but he seemed content with only his fingers. I didn’t dare ask him to fuck me there, just in case it wasn’t his thing.

He let out a soft moan when he pushed his finger inside. Slowly, he pushed deeper and faster, until I was moaning and screaming, begging him to take me. Without notice, he pulled his finger out and thrust his throbbing cock inside my pussy. I pushed back into him, wanting him deeper. His erection pulsated inside of me and he tightened his grip on my hips.

“Come.” I begged. “Come inside me.” That made him thrust harder, faster. And within moments, I could feel him explode.

We both collapsed on the bed. He pulled me tight to him and kissed my neck. “I never want you to leave.”

I shook my head and snuggled in tight to him. “I’m not going anywhere.”

We lay in silence for quite some time before he spoke again. “Marry me.”

My eyes shot open. I wasn’t sure what to say. I hardly knew him. Was it lust or maybe just euphoria talking?

I listened to my gut and took a deep breath. “Yes.” Guess I’d get my happily ever after, after all.

  Epilogue

  Zoe

This was the third Cross wedding I had attended in just as many years. I won’t lie. It annoyed me. The closest I’d come to love was high school ten years ago. I shook my head and rolled my eyes when I saw the bride and groom kiss. “Gods, how the hell did Echo Lovedream get married before me?” I thought to myself. Laughter escaped my lips, and I shook my head, fully aware of the pity party I was engaged in.

“Zoe!” Savannah seemed genuinely happy to see me. “How are you?” She leaned down and kissed my cheek.

I forced a smile and reciprocated. “I’m well Savannah,” I pulled back and avoided eye contact, “how are you?”

A smile spread across her face. “I’m well.” She nodded her head and pointed to the door. “Isn’t that Rick Hughes?”

My eyes grew wide as I looked in that direction. Words were stuck in my throat and I could only nod in answer. He looked amazing, in fact, better than ever. I never got over him. When he went off to college, my heart was broken, and it’s possible that I shut myself off to all men. No one knew, but I hadn’t been with anyone else since him. I didn’t even tell his sister who was, at one time, my best friend.

“Zoe?” There was distinct concern in Savannah’s tone while she tried capturing my attention. “Are you okay?”

I nodded my head and looked away, hoping she wouldn’t see the tears that were forming in the corners of my eyes. “This is a beautiful wedding.” I did my best to deflect.

She nodded her head and placed her hand on my shoulder. “It really is.” Her face wore a look of guilt.

I stood and cocked my head. “Thank you so much for inviting me.” I lifted the empty glass of wine from the table and tipped it toward her. “I’m going to go get another drink.”

I could feel her watching me as I walked away. “Damn.” I mumbled to myself. I had been so careful not to let anyone know I was still hung up on my high school sweetheart. I know it’s stupid, but I couldn’t let him go. We were the perfect match. Even at 14 years old, I knew that. He was the first man I made love to and the only man I ever wanted to touch me again. Perhaps it was immature of me to think that way. Obviously it wouldn’t go well in my circle if I was afraid to tell my friends.

“Zoe?” His voice crashed around me, my thoughts quickly dissipating.

I froze, unable to turn around. What do you say to a man you can’t get over?

“Zoe?” His hand touched my shoulder.

My body went weak, my mind raced. I took a deep breath and forced myself to turn around. “Rick.” My breath heavy. “I wasn’t expecting to see you here.” I tried to mask the surprise in my voice, but I’m certain I failed.

A smile spread across his face, and our eyes met. “You look great.” His voice was barely above a whisper.

Was it possible that he wasn’t over me either? The look on his face made me wonder. Could I get a second chance with the love of my life?
