  Acknowledgments

Usually I have a list of a dozen people I thank in my acknowledgements. Today, I’m at a loss. I wish I had a year to type all my thank yous because in all honesty, your name should be listed amongst the names. Without readers such as yourself, I don’t know if I could keep going or would’ve stayed sane.

So, to you, thank you for reading and for reaching out to me. Readers aren’t fans, you’re my family too. You’ve propped me up on days I didn’t want to get out of bed. You made me smile on days when all I wanted to do was cry. Thank you for being you and for showering me with love and support.

Thank you to Lisa Hollett, my fabulous editor. This wasn’t an easy project, but you’re used to my special brand of crazy. You never complain even though I’m sure you’d like to choke me out sometimes. You’re not only my editor, but a friend. I love you to the moon and back and am thankful every day that you’re in my life.

Julie Deaton, you’re a rockstar. Thank you for making sure my shit it together and finding all the little errors that seem to plague me. You’re always fast and sweet. I look forward to reading your comments with each book and value your kind words and support more than you’ll ever know.

Brian, my love, thank you for being by my side. The last year hasn’t been easy for you. You’ve kept me grounded, sane, and continued to love me during my near breakdowns. I don’t know if I could’ve survived everything without you by my side. I love you always.

Glenna Maynard, thank you for stepping in and helping me organize my thoughts. I couldn’t look at the book another second, but you rescued me and helped me pull the into shape. Your developmental editing skills were spot on and you gave me the confidence to finally share Mend with the world. You my friend are a gem and I can’t thank you enough. I’m honored to call you a friend.

To my mom, I love you and thank you for being mine. We may fight because we’re too much alike, but you’re the most important person in my life. We’ve both been lost for a year now, but we still have each other and for that I’m forever thankful. Even though you use sixty washcloths a day and leave your heat on 78 degrees, I still love you. I love every quirky, crazy bit of you and I’m honored to be your daughter.

To all the people I forgot, I’m sorry. It wasn’t intentional. I really should start making lists, but that isn’t my style. Someday I’ll get my shit together, but until then, know you’re in my heart.

  Love Always,

  Chelle Bliss, xoxo
