Lita frowned. “Why now? You haven’t tried this hard to get me to have sex with you for a while.”

“God, Lita, do I really need a reason? You walked into my bedroom, topless. Did you really think that would not make me want to fuck the shit out of you?” Sebastian asked.

“No, I didn’t; I was just being practical.” Lita blushed, realizing her mistake.

“Okay, well, let me clear things up for you, princess. I want to fuck you every morning, noon, and night. Whenever I’m in a room with you, I want to bend you over and bury myself deep inside you. I don’t do it because sometimes other people are around, but a lot of times, it’s because you’ve made it very clear that you don’t want to be in a relationship with me.

“Other times, it’s because this whole pregnancy has gone fucking sideways. I know that you don’t think that I have feelings, but I do. I’m devastated and stressed and worried too. So, no, I haven’t been trying very hard to get you into bed because I’m not quite the asshole people think I am. Even I wouldn’t pressure the mother of my child into sex when she’s crying her eyes out over our sick baby.

“But, when you walk into my bedroom half-naked, I will definitely forget all sense of fucking reason and will try very, very hard to get you into bed with me.”

Sebastian was breathing heavily when he finished speaking, staring down at her intensely. Lita had to look away, unable to meet his gaze. He still had one hand on her hip, and Lita slid her arms around his waist as she closed the gap between them.

She turned her head to the side and rested her cheek against his chest as she closed her arms behind him. Sebastian encircled her with his arms and pulled her tightly against him. The feeling of his skin against her back was causing sparks of electricity to shoot throughout her body.

After a few moments, Lita turned her face up to his, and Sebastian didn’t hesitate to take up the unspoken invitation to kiss her. She hated how completely and utterly right it felt to be in his arms again. At this moment, she struggled to comprehend that he shared this same connection with other women when she wasn’t making herself available to him. All that mattered was that they were together right now.

Sebastian broke their kiss, picked up the shirts he’d laid on the bed and put them on a chair nearby, then began to remove his clothing. Lita followed suit before they lay in the bed together. Sebastian put his arms around her and kissed her. As much as she loved the sexual pleasure that he gave her, the lead up to it was always so enjoyable with him, and she reveled in the feelings as his hand explored her body.

“Well, since we’re doing this, you might as well get your timer,” Lita laughed. “I really feel like becoming a millionaire today.”

Sebastian laughed and got his phone while she made her way down to take him in her mouth. She had him turn on the timer and sucked him for a long time. He moaned when she managed to get him so far into her mouth that she almost reached the base of his cock and slowly pulled back from there. Lita paid the price for that move, though, as she felt a sharp pain in her jaw. So, she pulled him out of her mouth to see him smiling at her through hooded eyes.

“I know I didn’t do it,” she laughed.

“Six minutes and twenty-seven seconds. Possibly the best six minutes and twenty-seven seconds of my life, though,” he told her in a husky tone.

“Well, I’m glad you enjoyed yourself,” Lita said as she opened and closed her jaw a couple of times to try and ease the pain.

Sebastian pulled her up so that her face was above his. “Let me kiss you better.”

He went back to kissing her, and she did feel better. As he kissed her, he reached between them to finger her to orgasm. As soon as she had moaned his name, he pushed her on to her back, then knelt between her legs and pushed them apart.

“Have we reached the part of the sex where you just stare at me, then?” Lita teased him.

“Yes, we have. I will never grow tired of this view, and I will never apologize for that. In a minute, I’m going to dine on you until you beg me to stop.”

Sebastian said it matter-of-factly, and it had an immediate effect on Lita as he lowered his mouth to follow through on his promise. Sure enough, he didn’t stop until Lita could no longer handle the waves of pleasure that were rocking her body and begged him to fuck her instead. He gave her a wicked grin and had her get onto her hands and knees before he placed himself at her entrance.

Sebastian entered Lita slowly, and it was painfully pleasurable after what he’d been doing to her already. It was a relief when Sebastian finally came inside her, and Lita was shaking from the intensity of it.

“Jesus, Sebastian,” Lita groaned as he pulled himself out of her. “I didn’t know that there was such a thing as sex being too good.”

Sebastian kissed her softly. “Are you okay, princess?”

Lita nodded and shuddered. “Yup, I’m not complaining. That was just intense.”

She smiled and then kissed him before getting out of the bed to go and shower. He joined her in the shower after a minute and wrapped his arms around her as they stood under the spray together.

Lita pushed away the feelings of guilt that were encroaching on her post-orgasm happiness. The sex they’d just had was amazing, and it felt good to be here and in his arms again. For now, she wanted to hang on to this feeling and minimize anything that might take it away from her.

Once they finished their shower, they returned to the bedroom where Sebastian got dressed again, and Lita pulled on her underwear and pants before asking, “Where was I before I was so rudely interrupted?”

“You were going to try on some of my shirts, but you’re looking mighty fine; I could probably interrupt you again,” Sebastian laughed.

Lita rolled her eyes and walked over to the pile of shirts. She tried on about five of his shirts until she pulled on a t-shirt that sat nicely over her bump and wasn’t too loose or too tight. As she turned away from the mirror that she’d been checking her reflection in, she noticed that Sebastian had a weird smile on his face.

  “What?”

“You don’t recognize the shirt?” He raised an eyebrow at her.

Lita looked in the mirror and gasped out loud. “This is the shirt you were wearing when you won your first Grammys.”

“I knew you’d get there, fangirl,” he said as he walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her before he kissed her.

“I had a picture of you guys performing as my desktop background for months,” Lita told him while blushing.

“I thought you’d recognize the shirts straight away,” Sebastian said.

Lita looked at the pile of clothes sitting on the chair nearby, and her eyes widened. She pulled herself out of his grasp and strode over to them, looking through the clothes reverentially.

“Holy shit,” she whispered, picking up the collared shirt that was on the top of the pile. “The top from the ‘Games We Play’ video clip.” Beneath that was a t-shirt that Lita had bemoaned for looking stupid on her because it was too big across the shoulders and too tight over her bump. “This is from the cover of Cards Have Been Dealt. I can’t believe that I didn’t recognize these immediately.”

“You were a bit distracted,” he laughed. “I need to get rid of some of these clothes, but I’ve kept a lot of them even though I never wear them. I’m glad one of them fits you.”

Lita burst into tears as he finished talking. “Fucking hormones. It just means a lot that you care about me, even though I’m a dumb groupie and you’re Sebastian Fox.”

“You’re not a dumb groupie.” He laughed and shook his head. “But I am Sebastian Fox.”

“I just mean that I don’t know if I’ll ever not get excited by this stuff.” Lita wiped at her tears, then indicated to the pile of shirts on the bed. “I’m still a huge fan at heart. I still get star struck by the guys sometimes, even Heather and Ariana. I still feel weird that I have a bodyguard, and I’m a part of your world. I don’t feel like I belong, even though everyone’s
been great about welcoming me into your family.”

“I love that you’re a fan and that you love our music. You’re so real, Lita; you’re never fake, and fuck knows I’ve met a lot of fake people since I became famous. If you hid this stuff from me, I’d be worried, but I’m not.”

“What if I never get over it, though? What if I’m old and gray and fangirling over Hayden Vega being at my ninetieth birthday party?” Lita bit her lip.

Sebastian smiled at her, “Well, assuming we’re all still alive for your ninetieth birthday party, then I’ll just be glad that we’ve obviously had sixty amazing years being in each other’s lives, and god knows Hayden needs some fans.”

“You’re mean,” Lita laughed. She finally managed to stop crying as Sebastian put his arms around her. “And Hayden is awesome. He has more fans than you think. I’m going to start the Official Hayden Vega Fan Club, and you can’t stop me.”

“But who will run the Official Sebastian Fox Fan Club, then?”

“Nobody. Nobody wants that club because you have no fans, only me. And even then, Hayden is still my favorite,” Lita teased him.

“I can’t believe you would be so mean to me; it’s my birthday, don’t you know!”

“Your birthday was on Thursday. Today is just your party.”

A massive smile came across Sebastian’s face. “I can’t wait!”

“You’re such a child,” Lita laughed.

The rest of the band would be arriving soon; they were traveling in a limousine to his birthday party as a group. Sebastian led Lita out to the living area to wait for them.

“Want to play a game of pool?” he asked her.

“Sure, rack them up. I’d better bring you down to earth before your ego gets inflated at your party later,” Lita grinned at him.

He laughed and set up the pool game, which Lita won in no time. As he was setting up their second game, his phone started buzzing.

“Hey, Gabriel,” Sebastian answered it. He paused for a second, then said, “No worries, we’ll be down in a minute.”

They made their way out the front of the building, and with the assistance of Daryl and Ben, made their way through a small group of paparazzi who were waiting there and calling out questions about both their baby and Sebastian’s birthday party.

The bodyguards would be driving to the party in the black SUV. Even though Sebastian and Lita wouldn’t really need protection at the party, he’d insisted that they come and enjoy themselves once they were there.

There was a round of cheers as they entered the limousine, and Daryl closed the door of the limousine behind them.

“Hey, guys,” Sebastian said with a grin.

Ariana was sitting next to him, and she handed him a glass of whisky, then leaned over to kiss his cheek and said, “Happy birthday again, Seb.”

  “Thanks, Ariana.”

Ariana handed Lita a glass of orange juice as Gabriel announced, “How about a toast to the birthday boy?”

“A toast to the man who is the best fake lover I’ve ever had,” Heather said with a grin, and everyone took a sip of their drinks.

“To the man who I will definitely one day beat at pool outside of a video game,” Hayden added with a grin, and everyone drank again.

“Are we a couple of drinks behind you guys?” Sebastian asked.

“Maybe. Look, it’s been a long drive,” Harrison told him with a grin. “But I say we should toast to the man who brought us all together as a band.”

Everyone took another sip, and Lita asked Sebastian, “Did you?”

“I mean, technically, yeah,” Sebastian laughed. “We were all at a music camp together, and I was looking for people to be in a band with me.”

“I was the first member,” Harrison grinned.

“I was the last, on account of Sebastian hating me,” Gabriel informed her. He grinned, then added, “A toast to Sebastian not hating me.”

Everyone took another sip, and their drinks were all refilled before the next toast. Lita was highly amused, as everyone started to seem very tipsy.

“A toast to Sebastian for building Galena because it’s so awesome, and our honeymoon was amazing,” Ariana said.

“And our wedding,” Heather added before she took her sip. “Your turn, Lita.”

Lita wasn’t expecting to have to make a toast, and she panicked.

Sebastian must have noticed, because he told her, “You don’t have to, princess.”

“No, it’s okay, um… To the man who’s the best person a woman could ask to be the father of her baby.”

Sebastian leaned over and hugged her, whispering his thanks in her ear, and Lita blushed.

“Okay, my turn to make a toast,” Sebastian said and raised his glass. “I want to make a toast to myself because I’m the best musician in this car and maybe even the world. Remember, if you don’t toast me on my birthday, it means that you’re all terrible friends.”

“Yeah, I’m not toasting that, and I have no regrets about not doing it.” Blake rolled his eyes.

Everyone else groaned but lifted their glasses to the toast.

“Speaking of your birthday, I can’t believe how big a hit your birthday game was,” Hayden said.

“I’m not surprised; Lita’s amazing.” Sebastian smiled at Lita, and she blushed.

“I was thinking…” Hayden trailed off.

  “Did it hurt?” Sebastian asked.

“Very funny.” Hayden rolled his eyes. “I mean, since we’re all here, I was wondering what everyone thought if Lita made a longer game for the website. If you want to, of course, Lita.” He smiled at her as he finished his suggestion.

“Ooh, that’s a brilliant idea,” Gabriel said.

Everyone was looking at Lita and waiting for her to respond. She didn’t want to say no, but she didn’t want to say yes. At the same time, a million ideas were running through her head for what she could do with a game about Cruise Control, things that she was sure the fans would love in a game.

“Can I think about it?” she asked.

“Of course. We’d pay you as well,” Hayden said. “I mean, that’s what I was thinking; we’d commission you to make a game. We wouldn’t expect you to do it for free.”

“Shit, we should actually pay you something for the birthday game,” Harrison said.

“No, no, that was Sebastian’s birthday gift!” Lita exclaimed in horror.

“Yes, but we appropriated it for other purposes. You deserve to be paid for that.” Hayden gave her a kind smile.

“Oh my god, please stop.” Lita started jiggling her leg involuntarily, feeling very distressed. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly, forcing her leg to a standstill at the same time. “Sorry, it’s just that it’s not about the money. I need to check with Silicon Street if I’m even allowed to freelance, particularly since I’m on early maternity leave. I probably should’ve checked before we put the birthday game on the website, but as long as I haven’t been compensated for it, that should be okay anyway.”

“That makes sense. Sorry, Lita,” Harrison said quietly.

There was silence for a moment, and Lita thought about Hayden’s proposal.

“It’s fine, Harrison. I actually love the idea, Hayden, but I probably couldn’t do it alone. The graphics on the birthday game weren’t brilliant because that’s not where my talent lies. I told Sebastian that if I’d known other people would play it, I would’ve done a lot of things differently, and I meant it.

“It would depend on what your goals are with the game you wanted me to make. Whether you wanted to monetize it, either through microtransactions or people paying for the game as a whole, or if you wanted it to be something free for the fans. That all really, really depends on whether or not I can even freelance, though if you don’t pay me, I can probably do what I want, but I need to check.”

“Already, you’re a thousand miles ahead of what I was thinking,” Hayden said with a smile at Lita. “I just thought, ‘that game was cool; w
e should have a longer one.’ I hadn’t even considered whether or not it would be paid or free.”

“That’s why you make music, and I make video games,” Lita laughed.

The conversation moved on, and Lita relaxed when she was no longer the focus of it. Sebastian grabbed her hand and squeezed it. She looked up at him, and he was smiling at her.

“So, have you two worked your shit out, then?” Blake asked and nodded to their joined hands.

The air in the car grew tense, and Lita asked, “What do you mean, Blake?”

“Well, Sebastian was busy picking up chicks at clubs the last time I saw him, and now you two are all loved up again, so…” Blake shrugged.

Lita was surprised when Hayden was the first person to respond. “Blake, I don’t know why you’re doing this, but Lita has never done anything to you. Can you please stop?”

“I was just asking an honest question,” Blake said.

“Fuck off, as if you didn’t know that you were being rude as shit.” Heather glared at him.

Lita felt incredibly uncomfortable and looked out the car’s window as the conversation continued, and Sebastian squeezed her hand when she did.

“Well, I’m sorry that you lot are always so damn sensitive about stuff. My friends can take a joke, at least.”

“Oh, it wasn’t an ‘honest question,’ then. It was ‘just a joke,’ was it, Blake?” Ariana asked him.

  “Yeah, it was,” Blake said.

“Aren’t jokes meant to be funny, though?” Ariana replied.

“Whatever. I’m sorry if you guys were offended. I was just asking the question,” Blake said, but he sounded annoyed and unapologetic.

There was silence in the car, and Lita turned back to look at everyone, now that the conversation had apparently finished. She caught Heather’s eye, and Heather smiled at her, then she frowned.

“Is that your shirt, Lita?” Heather asked her.

“No, it’s one of Seb’s.” Lita blushed.

“I thought I recognized it! How come you’re wearing one of Sebastian’s shirts?”

“None of my clothes fit, and I didn’t get a chance to go shopping for more maternity clothes yesterday.” Lita wrinkled her nose.
