Lady of Way Page 29

by Rosemarie McCants

After Gabriel she thought she would not have that intense reaction with another man, but she was wrong.

Heat took over her body, heightened the bad boy’s physical awareness that she was devouring with her eyes. Her body vibrated as if his fingers were touching her and not the beer’s neck. And when their eyes finally met, her whole world exploded.

His intense gaze in an exceptional piercing black conquered all her senses. There was no other human being on the club. He got all her undivided attention.

“He can’t take his eyes off you.” Melissa said cutting their connection.

She startled, but quickly pulled herself together, taking her attention from the Adonis on stage and focusing on her friend.

  ‘‘Ha?”

“Don’t ha me. You know what I’m talking about. The hot piece of meat at the bar end.”

“I don’t know what you are talking about…”

“Come on Alicia, that delicious species of men there is set on you and I can see that you too. So don’t give that bullshit. Want advice? Act fast because you’ll lose him, you are not the only one with eyes on him.”

That was when she noticed the other women ogling him.

  “You know that I—”

“Don’t give me that bullshit Alicia, you told me you wanted to go loco tonight, and when the good graces of this forsaken planet grace you with the perfect definition of loco, you turn you back!?”

She wanted to answer, but words died in her throat as a hot guy asked Melissa to dance. And of course she said yes. Feeling bad Alicia turned her attention back to the “perfect definition of loco” and to her surprise, he still had his eyes on her.

The strength of his powerful look took her breath away and made her blood run hot again. She had to cross her legs at the bar to relieve some of that heat that came down between her legs.

For Eros, if she was getting so hot and bothered simply because of a sinful look. Maybe Melissa was right, she had to get out of her shell and live a little.

He set the bottle at the bar with one last gulp and walked to her. He walked has if he owned the world: shoulders high, strong and confident, body barely holding his wild energy, as a hunting animal and she was pretty sure she was the prey.

Heat invaded her whole body faced with this perspective and she felt her nipples harden. Heavens, she really needed to scratch that itch. Mr. Frank couldn’t do it, maybe this guy could. When he arrived at her side, he didn’t just stop next to her, he leaned into her, taking her personally space.

“Can I buy you a drink?” He whispered in her ear with a low husky tone, so she would hear him over the loud music. His voice was thick and guttural, the kind of voice that only belonged to a sexy man who knew how to please a woman.

Damn! He was more attractive than she thought; he was the kind of man who could make a woman beg on her knees to have a piece of him. Up close, his clothes did nothing to hide his ripped body and that animalistic energy.

She was so mesmerized by the bad boy’s voice that it took a moment to answer, so that was why she responded his question with a soft whisper for only him to hear, “you may.”

He growled, as if she was taunting him and that made her even hotter for him. His growl was animalistic, something too carnal for a mere mortal, she shivered just hearing it. Damn! She liked men who took things a little bit extreme, shame that the bold possessive men were going extinct to be replaced by flower’s guys who competed for a turn in the mirror with you. For her, men had to be men. Like Mr. Frank… fuck Gabriel! Who needed his uptight ass when you have a force of nature like this whispering at your ear?

With resolution she wet her lips and his eyes diverted to her lips, somehow that made her smile. His shameless response to her was making her bold. She took a full minute of appreciation. Without a doubt he was hot! He had the kind of beauty which she liked in men, not flawless, but virile; full kissable red lips, dark eyes filled with burning passion that reminded her of… forget it! Continuing: a face to die for, and an amazing sexy smile, she gulped.

“What are you drinking? I’m Theo, by the way.” He practically breathed on her, making her only nod in favor of his intensity. He chuckled, seeing her astonishment; she bet he was used to this kind of response from women. “And you are?”

  “Alicia.”

“Alicia,” he said her name like it was something exotic from a mysterious land, “a beautiful name for a beautiful woman.”

Most man would say girl, but he knew the exact words to captivate her more into his web.

That made her smile, relax a bit. He was hot alright, but only human like her. His easy going killer smile enchanted me. Just to get a hold of herself she put some space between them, something about his closeness made her not function correctly; she didn’t know what was happening with her, just that this guy was getting under her skin far too quickly.

He nodded, “So Alicia, how about that drink?”

  *****

One drink led to another. A little conversation led to a heavy flirt. Needless to say that a heavy flirt led to want to go somewhere else?

To say Alicia was impressed by Theo was an understatement, she was used to guys hitting on her in clubs, but she never acted on it. She was too shy to go ahead with occasional sex, no matter how much she would want to try it.

However, this guy didn’t try hard to get her to have sex with him, she was naturally enchanted by him, plus she wanted revenge on someone.

She talked to Melissa and explained the situation, Melissa was happy and her exact words were: “Finally! I was getting worried for you. Have fun and be safe, and don’t do anything I would do.” Then she winked and got down and dirty with the hot guy who asked her to dance, as it seemed, they were going home together.

Once they got in the back alley of the club, Theo quickly embraced Alicia, turning her to face him, his eyes rocked her body hungrily, and the glint in his blue eyes showed exactly what he wanted. He didn’t give her time to think about the situation, he was on her lips faster than lightning, she hadn’t had sex in a year, she didn’t do occasional sex, and now she was doing sex on the back alley of a club.

  How people changed…

He groaned as he tasted the honey of her mouth and took the kiss deeper. Alicia moaned, responding to the ferocity of his action and let herself get lost in the passion. He bit her lower lip as she gasped while he took the opportunity to explore her sweet mouth and initiate a French kiss, which she felted to the core of her being.

Her hands gained a mind of their own and went up to his curly hair which she wanted desperately to touch. It was so silky and smooth, making her red painted nails slide through it. She was getting so hot just by his kiss that she was beginning to think she had a fever; he was so much more than she expected.

He didn’t give her time to delve into her thoughts; his mouth assaulted her like he was waiting to do that for a long while. And she could feel the desperation, hunger, neediness in his touch.

And that passion was too much for her, she needed to breathe, just a little, just to make sure that this was really happening. “Theo…” she breathed then lost the need for air as he jumped from her mouth to her neck in wet opened mouth kisses.

He pressed himself on her, making her feel just how hard he really was. She felt his hard thick steel pulsing for her and she couldn’t resist grinding on him just to feel him closer to the skin. Theo growled on the brink of passion.

“Please Theo, I need you now.” She pleaded, too out of control to care about her request.

She didn’t have to ask twice. He let her go, reached for his jeans pocket and put a condom on his superb manhood. It was dark but she could see the outline of it. Besides, she felt it, came back to her, pushed her short dress up, lifted her off the floor, she involved her legs on his waist and her back hit the cold wall.

He kissed her with reverence, even slight trebling, she was about to ask if everything was okay, but then she felt him. Gasped at the feeling of him o
pening her up and when he was all the way in, they both groaned and she felt like she died and went to heaven.

He gave her a minute to adjust to his size before he started to move, gaining a rhythm. Things got wild quickly and she lost total and utter control of her body. The way he was pistoling in and out of her, his outlaw moves were just too much.

She felt her walls convulse around him, his name at the tip of her tongue with a cry that pierced the silence, and held him tight as she rocked in a sensuous orgasm. He didn’t take long to follow her, he came right after her with a raspy, throaty groan, exploding inside of her with the strength of a wild animal he was.

A full second, minute, hour, eternity… passed, both of they supported by the wall and awed by their intense sex session. She couldn’t believe that they had such raw skin to skin connection. He slowly took his self from her warmth, which already missed his presence and put her down.

“I knew that it was going to be explosive, but…” he said out of breath.

“You weren’t prepared for this.” she answered in his embrace.

  “Yeah.”

“Me too, it’s never felt like that.”

“Because you never had it like that.”

  “Aren’t you an arrogant bastard?”

“It comes with my natural charm.”

“No kidding. I never said it was that good, just never like that”

  He just smirked.

  *****

Monday morning couldn’t come faster. Alicia still couldn’t believe that she did that reckless act! She, the puritan, Miss Sanders, had had raw sex against the wall in a dark alley of a club with a total stranger.

And to tell the truth she didn’t know what to think of it. Okay, she had fun, it was a good stress releaser, but something had changed inside of her. That experience changed her and unfortunately she was having a hard time returning to normality.

She was still shocked, and stunned with what had happened to her, but something dark keep alluring her to that tremendous experience. It was just all too raw and new, she took a deep breath wishing that she had another hour with sex god Theo to relieve the stress that was forming even before she started her day at work.

Because just thinking about Mr. Frank waiting for her with his hostile looks and lack of conversations was enough to give her a migraine, then why was that as soon as she finished sex with Theo she didn’t enjoy him or stick around?

Gabriel popped into her mind like a broken record player playing all their erotic moments and almost sex. She found herself asking if she had done it with him, would it be that intense, or more…?

The ifs, and buts of life. She was a lost cause!

She got in the apartment with a loud sigh and went to her room. Composed herself for work and went to get Yolanda for school, placed on a fake smile, but stopped when she heard the girl laughing with a stranger in the living room.

  Should she interrupt?

Whoever it was, he or she was going to have to continue with Yolanda after she got back from school. She entered the luxurious living room that never seized to amaze her and excused herself.

  Her smile died…

Gabriel turned his attention to her with a friendly smile for a change―someone must have a good weekend―and greeted her like a true gentleman. “Alicia, meet my brother, Theo. He just come back this weekend from Taiwan. He’s going to live with us. Theo, this is Alicia, Yolanda personal live in tutor.” He said proudly.

  Fuuuuuck!

Theo got up and walked to a stunned petrified Alicia, he greeted her with two kiss on each cheek. “So we meet again Cinderella?” he gutturally whispered just for her ears with a sensual wink.

“Ah?” that’s all she could say.

“Stop bothering Miss Sanders, Theo. She…”

“Don’t worry brother, Miss Sanders and I are well acquainted.”

  “What. You know Alicia, how?”

“Actually we met on Friday night.”

“The same night you arrived and went out?”

  “Yes.”

  “How?”

  “At the club of course.”

And just like that a heavy silence descended. Gabriel humor switched and became the Mr. Frank she knew too well. “I see.”

No you don’t. She wanted to protest but couldn’t find her voice still. Who was the big fat liar who told you your sins didn’t follow you.

Every action had consequences, she knew that now.

So, how was she going to get out of this situation?

Because it was clear as day that this was going to generate problems.

Did she majorly fuck up by sleeping with Theo, her boss’s brother? “Come and have breakfast with us Alicia.” Theo invited with all intimacy putting his hand on her lower back.

She wanted to protest, but he gave her no room to say no.

She found herself seated between the two man and opposite to a smiling Yolanda that was not getting what was happening.

But as she expected Gabriel the always cold and focused, masked his displeasure of having her seated at the table with them or the fact that he knew that she slept with his brother, he must be thinking that she was slut that opened her legs to anyone by now.

What did she care; he was just her damn boss!

She cared okay. She didn’t want to. But she did. Now faced with these two man she discovered that she really liked Gabriel but couldn’t deny the sexual attraction she felt for Theo, because he was to hot and animal to resist, while Gabriel had the more mature, mysterious vibe going around him, like a vampire.

That’s it! If she had to compare them, she would say that Theo was a werewolf, and Gabriel a vampire. Wild and sensual, a perfect eclipse. But could she handle that joint venture of tremendous force of nature?

Thanks to good humored Theo and a cheerfully Yolanda the conversation rolled free at the table. Thank heavens Theo didn’t try any funny business or give explicit hints that the shared fluids. He was pretty decent to her surprise, and she found herself relaxing more and more, until her gaze descended on Gabriel who kept his features neutral, frozen in time, with no access to his true and deep feelings.

  Chapter 1

Cynthia didn’t quite know what was going on in her love life. It just didn’t seem like she would ever meet guys who could understand that a woman could have real drive and ambition and want to put her career before relationships. The guys that she dated would initially seem to accept the fact that she was devoted to her singing career. But that was until they realized that she would often have to spend late nights recording in the music studio. And she would have to spend hours rehearsing for shows. It was very hard for most of them to understand just how passionate she was about her career.

“Everybody knows you care about your career, girl,” Tony, her gay stylist would tell her, rolling his eyes at her. “But everyone needs passion and romance in the
ir lives.”

It seemed like everyone in her life was constantly reminding her that she needed to be out hunting for love. Or at least dating and meeting meet new people.

“It would be great if I could balance a relationship and a career. But right now that’s just not possible,” she would often reply. “Sometimes you have to decide what’s important. And right now for me, it’s definitely my career.”

Cynthia had been singing since she was a little girl in the church choir. It was talent that had been unearthed very early in life. And her parents had immediately put her into private singing lessons. Her passion for singing and writing her own lyrics had only blossomed over the years. She was at a critical point in her career. She was finally making a name for herself at some local clubs in New York City and her work had begun selling well on iTunes, Pandora, and other music sites. So far in her career she had only put out singles. It was time for her to really establish herself as a serious artist and put out a full-length album. It wouldn’t be easy. She would have to work longer and harder than she had ever worked before. And that would just be on the music part. There would be so much more to the project than that.

The record industry had changed dramatically over the last ten years. So many big companies had gone under and they had taken many up and coming artists down with them. Cynthia was determined not to be the kind of artist who relied on the record companies to do her bidding. She would assemble a team around her and put out the kind of music that she thought would best connect with fans. There were so many ways for an artist to get their work out via the internet that there was no need to spend time running after the record companies. Her plan was to become so popular as an independent artist that the record labels would come running after her with six-figure offers.

She checked her watch as she walked out of the subway station and onto the busy Lower East Side Street. She was a few minutes late for her coffee date with her best friend, Danielle. They had grown up together in the New York suburbs and they had spent their summers down in North Carolina. Both women had followed their childhood passions into their respective careers. Danielle had always had a passion for arguing and making her point heard. And she was never afraid to stand up for someone who was being mistreated, so it wasn’t a surprise when she was admitted to Harvard Law School. She had always been destined to achieve great things.
